Over The Limit Open Thread

If they gave a PPV and no one watched, would that make it a TNA show by default?  Well, if you're watching tonight, feel free to discuss it here.

My picks:  Big Johnny over John Cena thanks to the expected Big Show interference, D-Bry wins the WWE title from Punk to set up some rematches on the next few PPVs, and Trofi retains the tag titles because there's no babyfaces for Zig-Swag to face if they win.

Comments

  1. My hope is Bryan wins so they can stretch it out until Summerslam. But my fear is that both Punk and Big Johnny win and tomorrow on Raw, he announces himself as number one contender.

    ReplyDelete
  2. I hope whatever they decide to do it lasts at least 40 minutes.

They added a People power Battle Royale to the Pay Per View where the winner gets a shot at either the US title or the Intercontinental Title later on. My guess is that there's a good chance whoever wins this will most likely win the title of their choosing. My top picks are Lord Tensai, Ryback, Brodus Clay or even a returning Sin Cara. Personally I hope it isn't Clay but they seem intent on pushing him.
I agree with all of Scott's predictions as I too have a good feeling that Daniel Bryan will win to set up a rematch or two. Bryan said that there will be moves in the match not usually seen in the WWE so I'm hoping to see the Cattle Mutilation and some sick suplexes. I'm guessing Sheamus retains in the four way over Jericho but I won't be surprised to see at some point Orton having the match won only for the ref to be incapacitated. I'm hoping they will do an angle where Cena gets attacked before the match starts so it's not a complete one-sided beat down until the expected Bug Show interference. The Zack Ryder versus Kane match on the pre-show is a foregone conclusion with Kane squishing Ryder into icky gooey paste. Also I hope the divas match will end with Kharma returning and murderizing some bitches!

    ReplyDelete
  4. My fantasy booking involves Bryan winning thanks to ~EVIL AJ interfering which gives us 2 months of exciting Punk/Bryan interactions where we get into the exciting territory of Punk with a live microphone talking about how to handle women.

I imagine in reality Punk wins clean, Bryan/AJ are kept apart and we're just killing time until the fall where Lesnar takes Punk's title.

    ReplyDelete
  5. I'm watching the pre-show on YouTube.

I felt like I had to admit that for some reason.

It's weird on the PPV channel they're doing a regular hard sell show with Scott Stanford (who the fuck?) but on YouTube it's Matthews/Striker at the arena live.

    ReplyDelete
  6. If they only get 18-20 minutes I'm asking for a refund of a show I plan to stream for free.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Heck, Zack is having a competitive match with Kane!

    ReplyDelete
  8. Ryder lost.

I had to rewind to be sure I couldn't believe it.

    ReplyDelete
  9. I can't stand the WWE's infatuation with Kane.

    ReplyDelete
  10. I'd have to guess Ryback.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Ok hold on. Way. LOL

This Swagger promo is the greatest thing I've ever seen. Hahahaha. Holy shit. He just called himself "The Saucier of Swagger"

    OMG

    ReplyDelete
  12. I officially take back my "wait and see" status about Kane and Ryder. It was obviously a burial.

    ReplyDelete
  13. That would make you a "wait and saw" now?

    ReplyDelete
  14. It's probably time for the Broski Brigade to pool money.  A nice shiny vest with a handprint on the back shoulder can't cost that much.

    ReplyDelete
  15. I'm a big Swagger mark. I wish they would do something more with him. He is big, he can go, and he ain't half bad on the mic. But according to WWE logic, because he has a lisp he is forced into an eternity of jobbing to Kofi.

    ReplyDelete
  16. I really hope Big Show doesn't run in -- not because I don't want to see it (I don't), but because it makes no sense.

Cena recovered from a broken arm in 3 weeks. I'm pretty sure he'll destroy a long-retired lower midcarder who'll be fired for losing.  All Big Show has to do is sit at home with his thumb up his ass, then come to Raw and ask HHH for his job back.  WWE still portrays Show as a huge deal, so of course he'll be welcomed back with open arms, because HHH is all about the company now.

Even if Show interferes, there's no guarantee Ace will rehire him.  It's the most idiotic plan of action possible.  They may as well take a Sharpie, write "Yes, I am a fuckwit" on his forehead, and top it off with an angle where he happily accepts thank you checks from Paul Heyman that bounce week after week.

Im gonna go out on a limb and say this:

Im thinking that they purposely made the card like this to gauge how much of a PAYING fanbase Punk and Bryan has.

The Cena match will draw some people, but i really feel this is a test to see to if Punk and Bryan can actually draw based off name value and indy rep alone.

    ReplyDelete
  18. The problem with that is most of Punk and Bryan's fans are hardcore internet fans who pirate ppvs.

    ReplyDelete
  19. I watched NXT for the first time since the first season. Wasn't a bad show. Really good triple threat match with Tyson Kidd, Michael McGillicutty, & Derrick Bateman. Percy Watson & Johnny Curtis had a decent match. Regal was hilarious on commentary.

    ReplyDelete
  20. I can't even describe how happy that promo made me. He had his shirt off and he was trying to be like...well I guess sort of like Morrison. He was being super egotistical and pointing to Zig and saying stuff like: "Everybody knows he's the show stealer! Everybody knows we steal the show! Everybody knows I'm the Saucier of Swagger!"

Holy hell I almost cried with marky joy, it was so over the top. Shame that it was on the pre-show to a PPV no one will buy, that promo is probably lost to time now lol.

I agree he has it all, he just needs to find a character twist that sticks with people. He can bring it in the ring, he's got a great look and the name is one of the best ever.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Sooooooooo....that was a fucking weird opening to a PPV.......lol

    ReplyDelete
  22. You know it's bad when you have house show gimmicks on a ppv.

    ReplyDelete
  23. This is like the middle 20 minutes of a very bad Rumble.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I really wish Hawkins and Reks were facing Young and Titus so I could get my fix of early 90's neon wrestling tights.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Needs more tassles.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I'm starting to get the impression that Booker T can't pronounce names that start with D.

    ReplyDelete
  27. If Punk-Bryan doesn't main event, we riot?

    ReplyDelete
  28. With apologies to Max Mini, Tyson Kidd is the best midget wrestler of all time.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I'm guessing Christian is a face now.

    ReplyDelete
  30. No idea what Kidd is these days, but he got himself over as a face with his work.

    ReplyDelete
  31. This crowd is going to be fun if they're willing to be this loud for a battle royal. We should get plenty of snarkiness for Punk/Bryan.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Why should they main event?  Neither of them are fighting Cena...

    ReplyDelete
  33. Speaking of battle royals. If you have Classics on Demand, check out the one they put up. It's the one were Angle won the vacant World Heavyweight title on Smackdown. It's the best battle royal I've seen, a legit 4 star match, and one of the best booked matches.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Ace/Cena has to main event so the show can end with Cena AA'ing Big Show with Tensai on top of him and then Lesnar on top of Tensai and then a helicopter on top of Lesnar and then the ring explodes and all of North Carolina bursts into a nuclear fireball and then the smoke clears and Cena is smiling and brushing rubble off his shoulder and then fade to black...

    ReplyDelete
  35. Was rooting for Cody. Now that Christian randomly got himself over as a face in one match, Cody-Christian could be a sweet program.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Statement that can be made in every facet of life.

    ReplyDelete
  37. That was a hot finish. Looks like Miz and Christian have some pretty good chemistry.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Great reply, or best reply?

    ReplyDelete
  39. He was in there with Miz and Otunga, of course he was gonna get cheered. The short list of people who would get booed against those two is Hitler and David Arquette.

    ReplyDelete
  40. That's a strange time to have the opening. After the first match?

    ReplyDelete
  41. Well, thanks for making us feel like douche bags for watching this, Scott.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Dirty_Dave_DelaneyMay 20, 2012 at 6:19 PM

    Vicky Guerrero is smoking tonight!

    ReplyDelete
  43. The whole show opened weird, you could hear the audio during the FBI Warning and then it just opened to the battle royal and people were fighting.

I think they were going for that Hollywood idea of showing some back story "whose going to fight for the mid-level title?" and then doing the opening to indicate the "real story" is starting.

Like the way The Departed opens, actually. They show you all the background with Nicolson/DiCaprio/Damon and then when we cut to them being adults they do the actual movie open with credits and music and everything.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Man that slide on the apron with his knee entrance from Ziggler was so smooth.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Dirty_Dave_DelaneyMay 20, 2012 at 6:20 PM

Hitler wasn't that bad... after all he did kill Hitler!

    ReplyDelete
  46. Are they allowed to do that inside an arena? I know North Carolina has lax rules, but still...

    ReplyDelete
  47. These two NEED to start doing the matching tights thing damnit.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Dirty_Dave_DelaneyMay 20, 2012 at 6:22 PM

Also I hate that Lawler rips on Vickie for her weight when the crowd used to chant Burger King at him!

    ReplyDelete
  49. If this show ends with Marky Mark blowing John Cena's brains out, it would be made of win.

    ReplyDelete
  50. "Hi Mom!  Got a little bruise, but I'm fine! *wink*"

    ReplyDelete
  51. Rude Awakening!!!

    ReplyDelete
  52. King on commentary is unbearable tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Haha. Nice.

I just watched that movie again, I forgot how good some of the writing was.

Wahlberg to Alec Baldwin: "How you doing?"
Baldwin: "Fine. Tired from fucking your mother all night."
Wahlberg: "Oh yeah? What about YOUR mother?"
Baldwin: "She's tired from fucking my father."

    Haha. Flawless victory.

    ReplyDelete
  54. I'm confused. Why are Truth and Kingston partners?

    Oh.

    Right.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Because they are the tag team champions!  Duh!

    ReplyDelete
  56. So Cole talking about haircuts makes no sense but it's ok to randomly bag on Vickie all night. Someone just drag King out back and shoot him.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Good match there!

    ReplyDelete
  58. Whatever, Kofi and Truth. You're just holding the titles warm for Titus and Young. MILLIONS OF DOLLARS! MILLIONS OF DOLLARS! MILLIONS OF DOLLARS!

    ReplyDelete
  59. They're eventually going to have to pull the trigger on ZigSwag winning the title, right? Or do you think it'll just end up with them feuding with each other when they frustratingly can't win the tag titles?

    ReplyDelete
  60. The wrong team went over, but that match was a great case for why we need tag team wrestling. Why the fuck can't match-ups like this run for four straight PPVs?

    ReplyDelete
  61. Good match but Kofi's got to change his move set up once in a while. He's been using the same five or six moves in the same sequence for the last 3 years or so.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Very good!

I feel like Kofi doesn't get nearly enough credit because he makes everything look SO effortless.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Is it me, or do the faces have like a 90% win record since Wrestlemania?

    ReplyDelete
  64. Dirty_Dave_DelaneyMay 20, 2012 at 6:35 PM

Reks and Hawkins on PPV! FTW!

    ReplyDelete
  65. Why is Otunga in his wrestling gear while hanging out lawyering backstage?

    ReplyDelete
  66. Didn't The Giant smoke in this arena once on Nitro?

    ReplyDelete
  67. Every face has to have 5 moves of doom now. They won't push anyone that doesn't.

    ReplyDelete
  68. He just competed in the battle royal.

    ReplyDelete
  69. For the record, Curt Hawkins has now appeared on this PPV twice, while Ryder was dispatched in the pre-show.

    ReplyDelete
  70. You guys are picky. Crowd's still loving it.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Time for a smoke break. Yes, I would rather increase my chances of cancer than watch a divas match.

    ReplyDelete
  72. I don't smoke anymore so now I get through Divas matches by pushing a sewing needle into the end of my fingertip.

    ReplyDelete
  73. "The knee brace tells me...you're still hurt."

    Holy shit Booker.

    ReplyDelete
  74. I get through Diva's matches by smoking things other than tobacco. Not being clever, I'm high as a kite.

    ReplyDelete

I wanna join in on the "fun"

  77. The_One_Millionth_VisitorMay 20, 2012 at 6:44 PM

    First thought: Pole.

    ReplyDelete
  78. That was pretty good!  Amazing neckbreaker sell by Beth.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Booker's been unreal. When Cole was obliterating him for suggesting there's a circumstance where you wouldn't want to eliminate an opponent in a battle royal? He basically had to explain the goal of the match to him.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Not a bad diva's match, although with Beth in it, it's usually not as bad.

    ReplyDelete
  81. No idea I ordered the show on PPV, like a patriot.

    ReplyDelete
  82. The_One_Millionth_VisitorMay 20, 2012 at 6:47 PM

I LOVE THOSE GUYS. You can tell they are what Vince and Bear Skin rug crew  wanted Cryme Tyme to look like.

    In wrestling trunks... So absurd.

    ReplyDelete
  83. Does anyone else think they might be missing out with Beth as a heel? I get the vibe she could play as the Hulk Hogan of the Diva's division? I admittedly didn't get this vibe until tonight, and we've already establish my state of consciousness.

    ReplyDelete
  84. In all fairness, Layla actually impressed me with that match

    ReplyDelete
  85. Where is Ricardo Rodriguez on the totem pole of celebrity?

    ReplyDelete
  86. There was a battle royal?! Oh man it's almost like this card got slapped together this afternoon.

    ...

    ReplyDelete
  87. I went to start a loaf of bread in the bread machine when the tag title match ended. Did I miss anything important?

    ReplyDelete
  88. Hey, don't feel like reading all the posts.  Can someone just do a quick update on the matches so far?  (greatly appreciated)

    Was out watching Avengers...fucking awesome.

    ReplyDelete
  89. Above Caliber. Like the rest of humanity.

    ReplyDelete
  90. White guys tag like this and black guys tag like this.

    ReplyDelete
  91. Del Rio rocking the adult diaper.

    ReplyDelete
  92. They opened with an oddly good battle royal that Christian won.

The show "offically" opened with a pretty sweet Truth/Kingston vs Swagler tag that Truth/Kingston went over in.

    And um...girls fought.

    ReplyDelete
  93. The_One_Millionth_VisitorMay 20, 2012 at 6:52 PM

Stop acting like you have a life and get to posting with the rest of us nerds!!

    ReplyDelete
  94. Battle royal was a mess until a hot finish. Tag match was great, and apparently women wrestle although I've never seen it so take it with a grain of salt.

    ReplyDelete
  95. The_One_Millionth_VisitorMay 20, 2012 at 6:53 PM

    *SPITTAKE*

    ReplyDelete
  96. I think everyone recognizes that Beth should be the tentpole of the women's division, along with Kharma and Natalya, but we're all a bunch of mooks without a wrestling company, so what do we know.

    ReplyDelete
  97. The_One_Millionth_VisitorMay 20, 2012 at 6:54 PM

You are a good guy. Support the midgets BE A STAR!

    ReplyDelete
  98. If the rumors are true that this is Jericho's last night, it would have been better to run Orton vs Jericho and Del Rio vs Sheamus to pad out the card.

    ReplyDelete
  99. Kane beat Ryder in a nothing match.
Christian won a battle royal. I believe he now gets a shot at either the US or Intercontinental Title, though that might not be the stipulation.
Kofi & R-Truth beat Ziggler & Swagger in a good match.

    ReplyDelete
  100. Jealousy is a poison bro.

    ReplyDelete
  101.  cultstatus The_One_Millionth_Visitor Chin

    Thanks fellas.

    ReplyDelete
  102. I have a feeling the match of the night is going to be Peter v. the Giant Chicken on Family Guy.

    ReplyDelete
  103. Faces go over.  Little children remain happy.

    ReplyDelete
  104. Hahaha holy shit that made me lol hard

    ReplyDelete
  105. The_One_Millionth_VisitorMay 20, 2012 at 6:56 PM

The word was they had NO FAITH in Del Rio/Sheamus going in and this is the early summer YOU HAVE TO HAVE A 4way for the title in the summer.

    ReplyDelete
  106.  If the end game is a Sheamus-Orton feud, absolutely.

    ReplyDelete
  107. This match exists because a referee couldn't keep track of time...in front of a giant clock on a giant screen.

    ReplyDelete
  108. No padding of card = Punk/Bryan get 104 minutes.

    ReplyDelete
  109.  Dude, this is one of those movies totally worth the price of admission.

BTW Fuj, love the new gimmick.  So, is the Fuj retired/dead?

    ReplyDelete
  110. Having seen it in both formats now I totally agree it's worth paying to see in a theater.

The movie is supposed to be BIG.

    ReplyDelete
  111. A strange thought popped into my head today: all signs point to Big Show turning heel and helping Johnny defeat Cena.  But lately, Vince seems to have an obsession with swerving the smarks.  He also enjoys pissing the internet smarks off.  There's a way he could do both in one fell swoop: turn CM Punk heel by having him help Johnny win.  It's such a horrible idea on so many levels that I wouldn't put it past Vince to do it.

    ReplyDelete
  112. But it tastes so good.

    ReplyDelete
  113. Umm, it's a community here, I can ask for a quick recap...it really is not that big a deal.

    Who the fuck are you?

    ReplyDelete
  114. Honestly if it leads to more Cena/Punk matches I'm down with just about anything. Those two together are gold.

    ReplyDelete
  115. I didn't just mean her spot at the top of the division, I meant book her like 80's Hogan. The crowd goes apeshit for her feats of strength. Just feed her monsters like Kharma, and have her play the super-babyface who demonstrates superhuman strength in her comebacks. I feel like it might play in 5 minute spots.

    ReplyDelete
  116. But that would get Punk fired. It wouldn't make sense in the... Oh, who am I kidding, that's no excuse to not do it!

    ReplyDelete
  117. I'm not gonna lie I've kind of not been paying attention to this match. Is this elimination rules? Where the hell is Orton and Jericho?

    ReplyDelete
  118. If everyone thought it was an awesome idea, then for sure Vince would change it. But because it is gonna suck, it's a lock.

    ReplyDelete
  119. Well at least someone else is gonna separate Orton's shoulder while he was pounding the mat. Progress.

    ReplyDelete
  120.  I was just thinking that.

Can someone please change the style of triple threat and fatal four way matches at this point?  They've been wrestling the same way since 2004 where wrestler X gets knocked out while wrestler Y and Z (and in this case add another algebra letter that gets knocked out) are in the ring.

    ReplyDelete
  121. I can't even imagine where Jonbear1 must be on the totem pole of celebrity.

    ReplyDelete
  122. Was ECW the only place that did the elimination rules for the triple threats? Didn't wwe start with the elimination style, or am I misremembering?

    ReplyDelete
  123. I just want to make sure I heard this right: while Sheamus was sucking wind in a 4-way, Booker was talking about all the stamina he has and that he can last with the best of them.

Why not just call him a short, fat, black guy while you're at it?

    ReplyDelete
  124. Above...well you get the idea.

    ReplyDelete
  125.  Well, HHH won at WM in an elimination style 4-way, so maybe.  I'm sure someone may remember better than myself.

I think the first time I remember this style was the WM XX main event and it was awesome, but it's a tired formula at this point, at least for me it is.

    ReplyDelete
  126. Good match. I'm kinda looking forward to a Sheamus-Orton feud if that's what's next.

    ReplyDelete
  127. If it's true this was his last match, you know Jericho was doing the job. I actually hope this leads to Sheamus-Orton. They've got good chemistry, and either of them could benefit from a heel turn.

    ReplyDelete
  128. Dirty_Dave_DelaneyMay 20, 2012 at 7:13 PM

    Excellent fatal four way match.

    ReplyDelete
  129. I can't get it out of my head lol. It's the new benchmark of douchery.

    ReplyDelete
  130. Only 9:15.  When is that Punk-Bryan "iron match" starting?  :-)

    ReplyDelete
  131. This ppv feels straight out of 1998 WCW. Awesome undercard with a shitty main event featuring a non wrestler.

    ReplyDelete
  132. Yeah, but the WM2000 main event was advertised as an elimination match, so it may have just gone both ways in early WWF triple threats.

    ReplyDelete
  133. My wish has been granted. These guys could have a hell of a program if they actually give them any airtime to develop it.

    ReplyDelete
  134. Even though Christian sucks as a face, the WWE is definitely in need of a fresh face.

    ReplyDelete
  135. That's a perfect comparison. I have been digging some of this way more than I expected.

I'm just going to pretend Cena/Ace isn't even happening.

    lol@this Miz promo

    ReplyDelete
  136. Eighteen hundred seconds for Punk/Bryan?

    ReplyDelete
  137. It's sad what's happened to Miz

    ReplyDelete
  138. A double dose of Miz? Sign me right the fuck up for the replay on Tuesday.

    ReplyDelete
  139. "Thriller" dancing? Really? REALLY???

    ReplyDelete
  140. The Funkadactyls are in the house...shucky ducky, quack quack!

    ReplyDelete
  141. Wait. His girls are called Funk-A-Dactyls now?

I'm sorry I must be hallucinating.

    ReplyDelete
  142. Dirty_Dave_DelaneyMay 20, 2012 at 7:21 PM

Looking forward to Christian versus Cody Rhodes. Could be a great match.

Also Miz's dancing made me lol!

    ReplyDelete
  143.  Are all of Clay's feuds gonna revolve around dancing?

If that's the case, please put him in a feud with Regal...NOW.

    ReplyDelete
  144. Seriously. The guy has everything but some legitimacy, which they could give him if they'd just fucking stick to pushing someone for more than a month.

    ReplyDelete
  145. I think Brodus killed Mysterio and is wearing him as a singlet.

    ReplyDelete
  146. The_One_Millionth_VisitorMay 20, 2012 at 7:22 PM

While I totally down for Punk/Cena to go at it again... It really needs to be the roles reversed.

Ive said time and again if Cena ever turns heel, he should become a total corporate pansy. Just shilling the fuck out of wweshop.com spouting all the wwe universe hoopla.

Basically everything he does now, just with Vince behind him. I would totally not mind Vince on my screen if Cena was his number one heel.

Thats the heel Punk needs to fued against. Del Rio and his destiny or HHH and his game doesnt matchup well with the gritty realism of Punk. He is like John the baptist exposing all the phonies. Now im no CM Punk dick rider, but the reason why his title runs suck ass is because nobody programs well. they either have this phony act or they cant work, or they cant talk. Cena can do it all. And Punks angst is clearly directed at the sheer phoniness that Cena represents. Punk bombs as a traiditonal babayface cuz he is a rager... that has nothing to rage against. Put a corporate shilling douchnozzle heel Cen aaginst him and watch the sparks fly just like MiTB last year

Nope. WWE triple Threats have always been one fall to a finish

    ReplyDelete
  148. It just reeks of being booked a napkin half an hour ago. With all the underutilized guys they have on this roster, Miz is working twice tonight? What the fuck does creative get paid for exactly? How do you get that job?

    ReplyDelete
  149. The_One_Millionth_VisitorMay 20, 2012 at 7:24 PM

Its gonna be better received than RR 2010.

    ReplyDelete
  150. I would gladly stop streaming ppvs if they provided an iso camera on the Funkadactyls all night.

    ReplyDelete
  151. i can not stand fuckin brodus clay. this gimmick has really run its course

    ReplyDelete
  152. Miz: From main eventing WrestleMania to jobbing to Brodus Clay on PPV

    ReplyDelete
  153. We need to stop the trend of the kids in the ring preventing Naomi and Cameron from doing stripper moves after the match.

  156. So...the confiscating signs bit is actually kind of genius.

    ReplyDelete
  157. WWE parodying themselves with the sign confiscating thing?

    ReplyDelete
  158. EVERYONE gets a promo on the way to the ring tonight.

This is a very strange PPV.

    ReplyDelete
  159.  And a B-level PPV, at that.

    ReplyDelete
  160. As much as I want to see Christian and Rhodes tear it up, I hope it's short so Punk and Bryan get more time.

Until Scooter Keith recognizes me as the REAL WORLD CHA... excuse me.. been watching too much 91WWF there.

Until Scooter Keith recognizes me as the millionth visitor of his blog. As you can see right here. http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b157/rahminwright/Fuj-2.png

    I am not changing.

  162. It baffles me that this guy once closed out a Wrestlemania.

    ReplyDelete
  163. When was the last time there was a PPV where a majority of matches were won by heels?  I honestly cannot remember...

    ReplyDelete
  164. Cody must feel like he has hit powerball working with Christian after being chained to Khali and Big Show for months.

    ReplyDelete
  165. Booker T "ragtag" count is currently at four.

    ReplyDelete
  166. He's gone til five?

    ReplyDelete
  167. The_One_Millionth_VisitorMay 20, 2012 at 7:38 PM

One more until he is the FIVE TIME, FIVE TIME, FIVE TIME, FIVE TIME, FIVE TIME WORST ANNOUNCER IN THE WWE!

    ReplyDelete
  168. Yay! It's the IC belt! Congrats!

Now get out of the ring so we can start the Punk/Bryan video package.

    ReplyDelete
  169. i cant believe i was almost stupid enugh to click order on my comcast remote..... gotta love the internet.

ps i do not like christian as a face. I hope he plays a cool tweener.

    ReplyDelete
  170. Hopefully Christian uses this as a springboard for just one more World title shot. Seriously, that's all he needs.

    ReplyDelete
  171. Hopefully this will send Cody to the next level...

    ...Wait, who am I kidding?

    ReplyDelete
  172. 3rd PPV in a row that the IC belt has changed hands. Sure, why not.

    ReplyDelete
  173. But what would they do with a sign that says "John sucks"?

I'm surprised that such a match is even happening...usually WWE forces every Superstar to have a unique name.

  174. The_One_Millionth_VisitorMay 20, 2012 at 7:42 PM

You poor dumb bastard if you thought the IC belt was gonna gain credibility...

    poor dumb bastard...

    ReplyDelete
  175. What I took out of that segment is that Kane can fuck up Punk whenever he wants. Way to build interest in a match that doesn't involve Kane.

    ReplyDelete
  176. LOL @ Punk imitating Vince and yeah, that would be 100% true.

    ReplyDelete
  177.  Oh right, what was I thinking? I said video package. I forget they didn't do a build for this, lol.

  178. The_One_Millionth_VisitorMay 20, 2012 at 7:43 PM

That ship sailed on Cody until he gains like 50 pounds or Orton leaves Smackdown

    ReplyDelete
  179. Here's my Captain Obvious comment of the night:  AJ is fucking HAWT!!

    ReplyDelete
  180. Dirty_Dave_DelaneyMay 20, 2012 at 7:44 PM

I was thinking that too. Reminds me of 2000 when Jericho and Angle used to cut a pre-match promo all the time.

    ReplyDelete
  181. I totally want an entire summer's worth of a Punk-AJ-Bryan love triangle.

    ReplyDelete
  182. One day, that Daniel Bryan feller will actually get over if he tries really hard....

    ReplyDelete
  183. Dirty_Dave_DelaneyMay 20, 2012 at 7:44 PM

I'm loving Daniel Bryan's new YES themed jacket.

    ReplyDelete
  184. Anyone else think that Punk's been petitioning to drop the belt to Bryan all day?

    ReplyDelete
  185. The_One_Millionth_VisitorMay 20, 2012 at 7:45 PM

    me too.

    ReplyDelete
  186. Dirty_Dave_DelaneyMay 20, 2012 at 7:46 PM

I was thinking the same thing. Smouldering HAWT!

    ReplyDelete
  187. Uh, no Cole. The WWE Universe IS NOT talking about Cena/Laurinaitis.

They are talking about the (hopefully) classic we are about to witness.

    ReplyDelete
  188. crowd is hot for bryan
