Awesome selection

Hey Scott,

I was wondering if you had seen this before. I was trying to find some old matches of Dynamite Kid/British Bulldogs and I stumbled onto this site.

There is so much good stuff on this site, I will be buying stuff for days.

What I really don't understand is why doesn't the WWE do this? If they opened up their library and made everything available (TV Shows, PPVs, Specials, etc), at a fair price by download, I would go nuts.

What do you think?

This is exactly the format that WWE should be following for their library, totally agreed.  Plus a $1.50 for hours of hours of awesome Japan content?  I too shall be partaking, assuming they own the rights to all this stuff and aren't gonna get shut down by WWE tomorrow.  The Stampede footage, for example, would clearly be WWE property, so that's kind of iffy from a legal standpoint I would guess, unless that Stampede set from a few years ago was separate from the WWE deal and thus not covered. Either way, I'm all over this.

Only fair I put this link up since I do most of my shopping there. It has most of the same titles as RudoReels, plus some other rare stuff. Also worth a look.

  2. Mark Henry had a possible knee injury at a house show.

    *sigh*

  3. I hope it was a mistake. I never thought ten years ago that Mark Henry would end up one of my favorites, but there you go.

    ReplyDelete
  4. That would suck if true. I'm not looking forward to his match with Ryback at all, but Henry has so much potential after Mania that it would be a shame. He should just run with the World Title on SmackDown and kill everyone while they build up an underdog babyface to dethrone him.

  5. I qonwomnder how laong they bhold off in Vcena vwms. Henry ? Thatas almost a Manaoia match at tthios point. Itsdz gottta happen sometome

  6. Crap...didn't mean to flag this. I swore I read RudoReels as 'Reeboks'...I thought it was spam lol

  7. I'm guessing this is his drunk posting gimmick again, since I got a similar text at around the same time this was posted.

    ReplyDelete
  8. He's either trying too hard or is WAY blitzed. Even when I've been pretty gone I can pull it together long enough to write coherent sentences.

    ReplyDelete
  9. I can't speak from experience because I'm no drinker but my gut reaction is that it's an attempt to seem drunk.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Still a hilarious gimmick, real or not. I can solve most of those iPhone puzzle games much faster than I can decipher Ryan's posts.

    ReplyDelete
  11. go home ryan, you're drunk.

    ReplyDelete
  12. drunk-texting dudes at night...

    that is no bueno.

    ReplyDelete
  13. You guys communicate by text?

    ReplyDelete
  14. "I wonder who they build up if Cena wins. Henry? That's almost a Mania match at this point. It's gotta happen sometime."

    ReplyDelete
  15. I read it as "I wonder how long they hold off on Cena vs. Henry? That's almost a Mania match at this point. It's gotta happen sometime."

    ReplyDelete
  16. That's it. The vwms was fucking me up.

    ReplyDelete
  17. "...Hold off on Cena vs WSM" - AKA World's Strongest Man.

  18. Yet again I need to be clear that I definitely was drinking, and its not a gimmick. And like always I point out that its just a matter of me being shit at typing when I'm drunk. Especially now that I'm trying to do it on my phone which, even though its actually pretty big, is still not that easy with my chunky sausage fingers. Drunk is just usually when I don't bother to do the repeated backspacing and typo correcting that I normally do. Plus sometimes there's a lag between what I'm typing and what I see on the screen.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Well y'see, at some point I noticed that my phone can pull up anyones number in my contacts that is linked to their facebook account. It opened up a whole new world of obnoxious drunk texting! Although yeah, bad look for me to be texting dudes at night.

  20. I think once you get the digital download you should be set. I haven't used rudoreels before but do like the format and model.

  21. Tune in next week for the first ever Blog of Doom Intervention!

The twelfth step - just play it out and see where it goes.

  22. The sample stills on the Stampede footage is pretty decent quality.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Damn that's pretty awesome

    ReplyDelete
  24. What major tape libraries are not owned by WWE at this point? The only one I can think of besides the obvious ones is Portland Wrestling. Not sure how valuable the rights would be, as I believe most of the master footage of that is lost, due to Don Owen not maintaining an archive of a show that ran on TV continuously from 1967 till 1991. Most of the footage still in existence is reportedly from fan VHS recordings with a large portion of it coming from Buddy Rose's old tapes.

  26. I'm better than you

  27. I sure hope some company starts carrying $1.99 matches of our own Catalyst Chad Bryant. Fuj on the dubbed commentary of course.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Snap mares will be edited out. We got to keep this PG.

  29. Didn't WWE's website used to do something like this? Where you could buy for the year, for the month, or by the match? And that was back when their website videos were of a pretty weak quality. It'd be cool if they did that now.

    ReplyDelete
  30. It seems weird to me that popular legend has turned that into Fuj vs. Bad Chad when it was me. But I'm not supposed to talk about that.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Fuj pulled a Hogan/WM4 on you.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Honestly, I've written while drunk, and it's the same, although in my case I'll skip entire words because I think I'm typing so fast that I already typed the word, even though I don't see it on screen.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Or a Hogan/ WM9 for that matter. Watch out for the rematch though, Fuj. I wouldn't trust Chadski to drop a leg on me.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I know they don't own some of the later World Class/IWCCW stuff. I don't think they have Global, though I might be wrong about that. They don't own XPW, but no one gives a fuck about XPW. That's about it as far as American promotions goes.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I do the same thing when I'm shitfaced.

    ReplyDelete
  36. getting "shitfaced" if you are older than a teenager is pretty pathetic. "drinking" really is for losers.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Not trying to judge, but that's really not cool and nothing to brag about. Having lost both parents due to alcoholism, I sincerely hope this isn't a frequent thing.

    ReplyDelete
  38. They had Global footage of Booker T on Monday.

    ReplyDelete
  39. You should judge, and shouldn't be apologetic about it.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Like, ever?

    Disagree.

    ReplyDelete
  41. I wish they would get all the old gwf shows

    ReplyDelete
  42. Lost my mom the same way. One week after her 55th birthday, way too young.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Thanks for chiming in with your simple minded take. We were all waiting for it. Its important to hear from straight edge wrestling board trolls.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Yeah, but I don't think they own the full library, I think ESPN owns it. Could be wrong though.

    ReplyDelete
  45. I'm not straightedge by any means. Hell, I smoke weed. But, everything in moderation. Watching someone die of liver failure is terrible; the last hours are not good.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Seriously? I got a downvote for THAT? Who down-voted me, Arthur?!

    ReplyDelete
  47. I'm sure its brutal man. Parallaxwhatever is just such a dumbfuck troll I can't stand it. You basically said "hey I'm notjjudging but to be fair alcohol abuse can have serious consequences." Fair point sir. Then this fucking jerk off troll says "yeah judge everyone", distorting your point and carrying the intelligence of a 6th grader who just heard some straight edge punk band for the first time. Of course he wins because I took the troll bait but I'm high as fuck watching bball so really who cares about some troll anyway I guess.
I'm sorry for your loss and anyone else's and when I go drinking I take a cab

    ReplyDelete
  48. Stick with the times man, say Homer Simpson, or Hank Moody!

    ReplyDelete
  49. No worries...I misunderstood and thought you were referring to me at first. It's all good.

Now, to process the events of tonight's Walking Dead. Damn...tonight was off the chain.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Well, there WAS this remake...nah, can't do it. Dudley Moore's ghost shit himself when that mess came out.

    ReplyDelete
  51. I like to think of Me and Drunk Murphy Power-plexing the Catalyst.

He did the heavy lifting, while I finished him off.

(this is so gross... I wanted to say double-teaming, but I caught that...)

    (Im just gonna stop now)
