  1. Well, guess we're getting Cena-Rock 3 and HHH-Lesnar 15 next year. Fuck this.

  2. Since Hogan is done in the WWE and as mostly an in-ring wrestler, who else can they bring in to do a once in a lifetime dream match? Is there anybody else? I still love to see Nikita Koloff come out of retirement and wrestle Goldberg coming out of retirement.

Or Nash vs. Sid one more time.

  4. Nice work, suckers.

  5. Somehow, I don't think Rock is going to risk blowing out his spleen for round 3.

  6. 1.21 still in the running. Go me. With the record gate and the extra $5 per buy, this number is extremely impressive. I didn't buy it due to a dramatic drop in enthusiasm after Royal Rumble and then again after Elimination Chamber, but there are enough families that are willing to make that once a year purchase to make their kids happy, throw a party, or give WWE a chance to rekindle their interest. As the Rock might say, "IT DOESN'T MATTER if hardcore fans are entertained!" All it takes is The Streak, a returning star or two, and a Cena main event to go over a million buys.

  7. Eh, I don't see where they cut any corners putting this together. They paid big money to the part-timers Rock and Lesnar, and Taker and HHH. Plus the actual stadium setting/fireworks etc was elaborate as hell. I'd bet it was the most expensive production they've ever done.

  8. Only one dream match I ever want to see and it'll probably never happen: HBK vs. Rock. Sadly, HBK is firmly entrenched with in-ring retirement (good for him) and apparently Rock is too roided up for his muscles to keep together in the ring.

  9. Which absolutely shocked me. As far as on paper, and the build, Wm26 was about as good as you're gonna get.

  10. Heel in a cell? Does that mean the babyface has to fight a bad guy who's in a shark cage?

    ReplyDelete
  11. I think Heel In A Cell was that cage match when Flair used Elizabeth's shoe as a weapon to beat Savage

  12. I'd rather HBK-Brock.

  13. HBK vs. Rock is definitely my dream match at this point. On the ring and on the mic.

  14. Perhaps some even further updated numbers came out, because Meltzer had 23 first then 28 in his article today... but it's really splitting hairs. It's all a lot of buys and a lot of money!!

  15. $72 million?? Make it rain, Vince, you rich-ass bastard!

    ReplyDelete
  16. This guy repeats my viewpoint.

These number usually get revised upwards a few times before all is said and done. My 1.4 million guess is looking good! 8-)

  17. Yeah, that Taker entrance clearly had 4% less fire than the previous year. And they saved a ton of money by not heating the stadium .

    Cheap bastards.

  18. You, the people, have spoken!

    ReplyDelete
  19. Yeah, well, the smart fans all panned this as a mediocre show, and tha's all that really matters.

  20. i hate all you 1.1x bidders

  21. If you use the word dollars, you leave off the $. Vice versa too.

  22. Miz is main eventing Axxess against Alex Riley.

  23. $80 - but it includes a set of scratch and sniff cards.

  24. 985k, no chance that buy rate gets bumped down more than 100k so I'm out of the running boooooooo

    ReplyDelete
  25. Next year a cena main event interview closes out mania, the show still breaks 1million

    ReplyDelete
  26. I've got the Mania Challenge 1.23!!! So still in the running!

    ReplyDelete
  27. so should the "smart fans" reassess their opinion of the show quality because it got a decent number of buys? Not sure what your point is

    ReplyDelete
  28. I thought this was common knowledge.

I got bashed hard for having this opinion, no matter how bad the booking was.

    ReplyDelete
  29. My point is to be a smart ass.
