BoD Sunday NFL Thread

This is the place for all things football-related.

Here are my picks for today

Minnesota (-7) vs. Cleveland
Atlanta (2.5) vs. Miami
Indianapolis (10) vs. San Francisco

Last week: 2-1

Comments

  1. This is fanboy influence, but Richardson doesn't know the playbook, he's going up against a pissed-off Niners run defense (including possible drug-fueled rage by Aldon Smith) and San Fran is due for its own running game to break out. This could be an ugly, ugly beatdown.

  2. Just laid a 3 team 6 pt teaser. Taking the jags at plus 24.5 the saints at -1 and the giants at plus 4.5
I also bet atl at plus 3

    ReplyDelete
  3. So the Pats either pull it together this game and win like 38-10, or the wheels come off the wagon and Brady goes down hard.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Lets hope so.

    ReplyDelete
  5. Revis will shut down Edelman. Thompkins and Dobson need to do something and the running game has to show up. Tampa sucks but I would take them with 7 points. Doug Martin will give their D fits.

    ReplyDelete
  6. I'm sure Scott wouldn't prefer actual links but always curious. Do you use a local source or one of the net based? I'm always spooked by the websites, seems like a pain in the ass getting money in and I'd be scared I'd never be able to get it back out.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Ive used Bovada for years and never had a problem getting money out, CC issues, etc. Highly recommended

    ReplyDelete
  8. Yea, I went nuts with two team teasers today. Also Gmen money line

    ReplyDelete
  9. Ryan Lindell might be out of a job next week

    ReplyDelete
  10. Pats offense is garbage. Too many scrubs on the field.

    ReplyDelete
  11. I too would like to know this information. Perhaps send it to us in binary.

    ReplyDelete
  12. I teased the Browns and Brian fucking Hoyer!!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  13. Its legal since theyre shit is overseas. Bovada.lv

    ReplyDelete
  14. Why the fuck do I continually put the Pats in teasers? And why the fuck does my girlfriend insist I stay home to hang out with her instead of going to a bar, and then she goes and takes a nap??

    ReplyDelete
  15. I wish Nevada or somewhere in US would go for it. Have looked at Bovada in the past, the photocopied license and CC has me hesitant. Thanks for the info though

    ReplyDelete
  16. WHO THE FUCK IS BRIAN HOYER!!???

    ReplyDelete
  17. He was with the Pats for a few years as Brady's backup

    ReplyDelete
  18. and what the fuck did i say about Josh Gordon?

    ReplyDelete
  19. Reports from ESPN say they are trying to trade him and obtain Ben Tate from the Texans

    ReplyDelete
  20. oh... Well I think Weeden is about to lose a job.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Dude, gordon seems like he can play. Kinda a dumbass but fuck that if hes catching balls

    ReplyDelete
  22. That would be terrible.

    Tate is trash.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Should have started the Bucs D instead of Minnesota

    ReplyDelete
  24. He is a dumbass but he is productive.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Bcs D is who I had last year they turn up.

    ReplyDelete
  26. No worries, he's old enough to collect social security

    ReplyDelete
  27. They are trying to move Greg Little too. He really sucks though

    ReplyDelete
  28. Pats are garbage right now on offense

    ReplyDelete
  29. Little is terrible. I was trying to get my hands on Gordon in both drafts, but every time... ugh

    ReplyDelete
  30. Who wins in a fight, Calvin Johnson, AP, or LeBron?

    ReplyDelete
  31. Man, Aaron Rodgers is having a tough day.

    ReplyDelete
  32. The question is, Who does more HGH?

    ReplyDelete
  33. Call me nieve but i think all of those guys are legit. Just absolute freaks who hit the genetic lottery.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Google pics of Lebron from the Miami Heat, compare them to his rookie season. He added about 50 lbs. of muscle. You can't do that on a pro athletes schedule.

    ReplyDelete
  35. If you have great genetics you can. He was also like 18 as a rookie and wasnt close to being near his physical/muscle peak yet. I think hes legit but you never know.

    ReplyDelete
  36. look at his fucking head man.

    he is on peds

    ReplyDelete
  37. Lbj? He was like 6'7, 200 as a high school senior. Hes never had a summer when hes come back 20lbs heavier, like a bonds or a McGwire. Its been a natural progression to his physical peak. Hes a guy I give the benefit of the doubt

    ReplyDelete
  38. Hes never had a dehabilitating injury either so never felt the pressure to do them to speed up an injury recover. He just hit the genetic lottery IMO

    ReplyDelete
  39. They didn't trade Richardson so he could be their franchise QB.... He's gonna lost that job, anyway.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Wish I was getting GB/Cin instead of Det/Wsh..... And even when I say. "Oh these games look shitty, I'll get something done today" and then I don't.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Oh thank god Brian Hoyer is who we thought he is. Tank for Teddy is back on!

    ReplyDelete
  42. Interesting prop bet. Does the NFC East winner end the season with 8 wins or more? The Eagles suck, the Skins were going to regress due to their schedule anyways but there's a good chance they suck also and man...the Giants...

Do they Cowboys have 6 more wins on their schedule? Can they win 5 out of 6 division games and beat the Raiders at home? I mean, I'd bet my life that even if the Giants are a 2 win team this year, they're beating Dallas at home.

    Man this division blows.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Cowboys can go 9-7

    ReplyDelete
  44. The Saints turn the gas on late, gonna do a pretty good number on the Cardinals.

    3-0 watch:

    KC: Won Thursday
    NO: Won Sunday
    NE: Won Sunday
HOU: Baltimore beating them silly, ouch.
SEA: Sunday Afternoon vs. Jacksonville... safe bet to win.

MIA: Sunday Afternoon vs. Atlanta... should be fun.
CHI: Sunday Night vs. Pittsburgh... interesting.
DEN: Monday Night vs. Oakland... yeah, pretty safe bet.

    ReplyDelete
  45. I'm looking at their out of division schedule. They have
    Chiefs (L)

    At Chargers

    Rams (W)

    Broncos
    At Detroit
    Vikings
    At Saints
    Raiders
    At Bears
    Packers

Other than the Raiders at home, none of those is a sure win. They're definitely losing the last 2 and the Broncos and they'll be an underdog in all the rest besides the Raiders. Maybe Vikings at home is another win but I wouldn't take the Cowboys defense in that game. To get to 9 they need 4 out of 5 remaining games in the division and one more besides the Raider win. And that assumes they're consistent and solid enough to not gag up their road games in the division.

I'd feel OK about 8-8 but nothing more than that.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Theyre 3-9 on the year with 2 of those wins coming against each other.

    #shittestdivision

    ReplyDelete
  47. The Jaguars just secured the #1 pick! Teddy or Clowney?

    ReplyDelete
  48. BRIAN MOTHERFUCKING HOYER!!!

    ReplyDelete
  49. NFL.com suggested I start the Rams defense over Seattle. HAHAHAHAHA!

    ReplyDelete
  50. MLB TJ: Atlanta clinches the East with Miami's 4-2 win over Washington. Braves lead Cubs 3-1 in the 7th, but it'll be a celebration no matter what.

    ReplyDelete
  51. I got a sick feeling ATL isnt gonna cover this

    ReplyDelete
  52. Well, when you're right 48 percent of the time, you're wrong 52 percent of the time.

    ReplyDelete
  53. My picks were not too good today.

    ReplyDelete
  54. I would have bet my life on the 49ers blowing out the Colts but man...what happened. I was pretty good on everything else this week but boy was I wrong on that one.

    ReplyDelete
  55. That was the one I got right. SF has no passing game to speak of and their running game cant get going.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Everyone in my league laughed at me for picking up the Indy defense. Who's laughing now?

    ReplyDelete
  57. Bears -1 in pittsburgh. O/U: 40.5. What we got?

    ReplyDelete
  58. I would take Chicago. Pittsburgh cant run and one of their starting corners is out.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Take Chicago and the over

    ReplyDelete
  60. I took the over. Stayed away from the point line. No idea on that one. I think itll be close.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Pittsburgh has a starting cornerback that is out and Cutler could have a big night as a result

    ReplyDelete
  62. Yea saw that. I dont think Pitts great, but I think theyre due for a good performance at home. Lets go points!!

    ReplyDelete
  63. I'd take Chicago and under. I don't see Pittsburgh putting up many points.

    ReplyDelete
  64. 3-0 baby!-Colin Kaepernick https://twitter.com/_Happy_Gilmore/status/381938381942317056/photo/1

    ReplyDelete
  65. Clowney, because Bridgewater just announced he'll stay in Louisville for his senior season #WhoWantsToPlayForHACKSONVILLE????????

    ReplyDelete
  66. Big Benjamin looks done. I bet Steelers pick up a QB in the draft.

    ReplyDelete
  67. God the steelers look bad. Pick up a blitz!

    ReplyDelete
  68. I went to the gym this morning, but then have done literally nothing but lie on my couch, watch football, eat food, gamble, and post to the BoD since about 1pm. Have a surpassed "lazy" and gone into "degenerate slob" territory yet or is this a normal sunday for men?

    ReplyDelete
  69. The upcoming draft is deep at QB

    ReplyDelete
  70. You are living the dream my friend. I just got back from taking the family to the lake and have missed almost all of the games, so consider yourself blessed

    ReplyDelete
  71. Thank you. I now feel less bad about this.

    ReplyDelete
  72. I say trade it for more picks. Teddy isn't going to be much good if he's shell shocked after 3 games

    ReplyDelete
  73. Sir you should never feel bad about spending an entire day watching football. Just think of the people in less developed areas that don't get to watch football at all

    ReplyDelete
  74. At least this week I didn't have to watch it.
