TNA DVD Compilation

> Hi Scott
>
> Have you ever notice on shoptna that TNA never released a dvd compilation for the past two years? Their last complation set was immortal forever? and they have not released a new compilation since. No best of Impact, no best of Aries, no best of bully ray, nothing.

I think they're kinda going all in on the YouTube thing.

  1. And how come nobody releases cassettes anymore? They still sound great what with that Dolby and all!

  2. And how come Batman doesn't dance anymore? Remember the Batusi?

  3. The problem for TNA, ROH and every other independent promotion is the decline of the "mom-and-pop" dvd store that are going out of business. Only big entertainment outlets are in available and they prefer WWE dvd's. In my hometown, all I got is Best Buy and Target. Best Buy only sells WWE dvd's.

  4. I know youtube and Netflix and itunes and torrents have made it much more convenient to watch movies or listen to music, but I miss video and record stores. I liked going into a record store with no set plan on what I was going to buy, browsing around for a while and settling on maybe something from the 90's I didn't hear back in the day.

  5. Yup. I used to be able to get almost all the indy stuff, ROH to old FIP stuff to deathmatch comps to goddamn NOAH. And i live in a podunk shit hole. Of course, that luxury is long gone.

  8. ROH still does a great job busting these out - and at times they'll do a 2-hour shoot with bonus matches to mix it up. I don't regularly follow their programming but its easy to catch up on long storylines with the comps they put together. The last Kevin Steen one (which seemingly has been pulled) was great.
I have a bunch of the TNA ones - they are still sporadic with just their PPVs being released. Usually they run $4.99 sales and you can catch up quickly.

  9. HMV in St. John's, Newfoundland stopped selling WWE DVDs this past year. I knew it was coming deep down, but I think on the surface I was in denial. Once upon a magical time the store had a complete wwe wall, then two shelves in "sports and fitness", then one shelf................ ahhhh :(

  10. Agreed. I was able to get tons of wrestling dvds at a great, cheap price from independent stores. But now they are gone. I am stuck with Best Buy and they charge friggin' $22.95 for a WWE dvd and $25 for a WWE blu-ray. I cannot afford those prices.
