  1. 1. I don't know why, but I'm excited for Kane to pull off his weird satanic boss character.

    2. Didn't Hogan used to put over the Mountie at house shows? And then never ever on TV?

    3. I voted in the Poll. Bray Wyatt and Cesaro have a huge lead and I just absolutely don't see either of them getting the belt before Reigns.

    4. 90 Smaltz but surprisingly well produced and sung. They have a bit of a 30 Seconds to Mars vibe.

    5. Sweet! Get Awesome Truth back together and put Bourne in with them and you'd have a fun little 3 man tag team.

    ReplyDelete
  2. Somewhat shockingly, the current poll results --
Who is the next WWE Champion?

    2%Goldust

    3%Cody Rhodes

    2%Ryback

    38%Bray Wyatt

    29%Antonio Cesaro

    19%Big E Langston

    7%Roman Reigns

    ReplyDelete
  3. I don't think ANY of these guys will beat Randy Orton to win the WWE Championship next. Down the line? Future WWE Champ? Sure. But that's some bad wording there.

The NEXT WWE champ is probably Big Show. Then Randy Orton again before finding its way over to John Cena, maybe Daniel Bryan (but probably not) and back to Big Show.

    Sorry, I'm in a nit-picky mood today.

    ReplyDelete
  4. I'm sure the only thing they care about in this poll is Roman Reigns and to a lesser extent Big E. The funny part is if Roman had gotten 90% then Vince/Steph/HHH would have taken that as proof that the UNIVERSE is dying for him to get the superman push, whereas these results will probably have them laughing at those "stupid internet fans."

    ReplyDelete
  5. I think the poll was more along the lines of "Which of these guys will be the next new guy to hold the belt."

    ReplyDelete
  6. I'm still dumbfounded that Kane's return did not involved him saving DB from a beatdown. Sure, go ahead and have him turn right after, but how and why was that slam dunk crowd pop of a moment not realized on TV?

    ReplyDelete
  7. I know that, like I said, just being a nit-picky bastard today.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Speaking of BoD updates. I should be speaking with Bully Ray about TNA's upcoming stop on Long Island around 4 p.m. Eastern today. Anybody want to throw out some questions?

    ReplyDelete
  9. Cena is always great during these off camera moments. I wish they would let him cut loose like this on tv more often.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Is Brooke's ass as fantastic in real life as it is on TV?

    I am only slightly kidding...

    ReplyDelete
  11. "WWE.com Poll About Who is Next In-Line to Become the WWE Champion"

The correct, and only answer to this is Chris Walker

    ReplyDelete
  12. Wait... Is Brooke married? I thought that was the only reason you cared...

    ReplyDelete
  13. See that is a misconception about me. I will happily fuck anything I find attractive... I just find married women the most attainable (and often desirable).

    ReplyDelete
  14. There are other legendary jobbers we could be talking about like Terry Gibbs or The Gambler.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Chris Walker isn't a jobber. Chris Walker was found so intimidating that he was never allowed to go over anyone (except Barry Horowitz because Barry Horowitz) for fear of him dominating the promotion for decades.

    ReplyDelete
  16. I find it less of a misconception and more of an easily-accessible BoD meme that you helped facilitate.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Also so glad Evan Bourne is returning instead of being replaced by the 1,000,000 indy guys that can do the same shit he does and are smart enough to lay off the drugs.

    ReplyDelete
  18. It would be nice if Cena put over Cesaro on camera. Maybe by eating a pinfall after a giant swing.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Fair enough, and I rather enjoy it... it was only mock offense taken anyway

    ReplyDelete
  20. He actually beat Hercules like six times at house shows. And Brian Lee in the dark match before This Tuesday in Texas. And Kato, man he owned Kato. Must have beaten Kato 20 times from 91 to 92.

    ReplyDelete
  21. And besides when it comes to Brooke's ass, ALL rules go out the window.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Chris Walker has unparalleled manliness.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Wow that's not a great sign for the Cody Rhodes face turn

    ReplyDelete
  24. You're crazy.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Also, because they're married, they're unlikely to get clingy about it.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Anyone think when they decided to pull the trigger on the Roman Reigns push they'll stop it after 3 months if it doesn't immediately catch on?

    ReplyDelete
  27. And a super good connection at "Deer Antler Spray Inc."

    ReplyDelete
  28. I'm afraid to look at that Jeff Hardy music video

    ReplyDelete
  29. Is Chris Walker a Chuck Norris/Bruce Lee/Vin Diesel hybrid?

    ReplyDelete
  30. Those are all Chris walker disciples!

    ReplyDelete
  31. Very few indy guys are as crisp as Bourne. He hits every mark perfectly, to the point where I genuinely start to wonder if he and his opponent might have rehearsed spots beforehand. He's that good.

He's ass on the mic though, and the drugs certainly do hurt him. But I don't think there are 100 indy guys, much less a million, who could do what he does as well as he does it.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Less clingy, more grateful, lower maintenance...there is a lot of upside to it. As one of the mid carders here at the BoD would say... this guy gets it.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I'm sure it is just some gothy emo angsty teenager bullshit

    ReplyDelete
  34. It's weird, because I heard Chris Walker was the only guy who came on to Pat Patterson to be turned down...

    ReplyDelete
  35. DO NOT DISRESPECT CHRIS WALKER!

    ReplyDelete
  36. Case and point, Evan Bourne's brother--who is terrible

    ReplyDelete
  37. No, seriously. VERY effeminate.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Disagree. I think he is all sizzle and no steak. His moves are impressive, but not innovative. I guess it will be a nice change of pace though...not many high flyers right now.

    ReplyDelete
  39. They replaced the word "Man" in the dictionary with a picture of Chris walker

    ReplyDelete
  40. You're thinking of the thesaurus. That's where they put antonyms.

    ReplyDelete
  41. I'm also not sure about the number of them that are smart enough to lay off the drugs.

    ReplyDelete
  42. I'll gladly take a guy who does the simple stuff well over an indy guy who flips around recklessly while somehow making running the ropes as difficult to navigate as an MC Escher staircase.

    ReplyDelete
  43. This. Londrick could have had careers, but they liked pot more than being pushed. Granted, I'm not sure how far they realistically would have gone (other than holding the tag titles longer than any team since Demolition, their standout moment as a team is apparently getting pedigreed in a "DTA: Don't Trust Anybody" moment after deigning to help Stone Cold Hunter Hearst Helmsley).

In particular, THE Brian Kendrick was a great gimmick that could have been something, size notwithstanding.

    ReplyDelete
  44. I'd imagine that Chris Walker wears skinny jeans, has blond tips in his hair, and rocks out to One Direction in his green VW Beetle.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Don't forget the multi-colored mesh shirts.

    ReplyDelete
  46. This is how Chris Walker rolls...

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=98AzJT8FlmY&feature=youtube_gdata_player

    ReplyDelete
  47. I almost feel bad about reading the earlier parts of that post (Mr. Fuji, Don Muraco and Piper) and thinking, "Ah, the good ol' days." I can't imagine ANYTHING Roddy Piper did in the 80s and early 90s getting through TV today.

    ReplyDelete
  48. You spelt it wrong. It's BRADEN WALKER!!

    ReplyDelete
  49. As much as the WWE is crowing about Reigns and Langston, I think a more pressing issue, and the poll kinda points that out, is how bad the WWE needs championship level heels. Now, I don't know if Bray would really work at that level (Cesaro, absolutely no problem), but they desperately need at least a couple of heels to really pad out the main event at this point I like Langston just fine, and Reigns, who looks Dothraki for god's sake, is a beast, but I would not want to pay money to watch any of them fight Orton or Del Rio or...shudder...The Miz, and I don't think I'm the only one who thinks that.

    ReplyDelete
  50. The best Chris Walker could get was Ed Leslie and who really wants him as a disciple.

    ReplyDelete
  51. As an offshoot my first name is Brian and my middle name is Daniel so we can start beating that dead horse.

    ReplyDelete
  52. David Arquette would make a better champ.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Fun Fact: Braden Walker took the last name Walker in order to claim relation to Chris Walker. Chris Walker found out. Braden Walker has not been heard from since.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Fun Fact: Jesus once told Chris Walker that he was HIS savior.

Jesus then resumed clipping Chris Walker's hedges.

    ReplyDelete
  55. If Chris Walker did, he would somehow make it all WORK

    ReplyDelete
  56. It was responding to your "Manliness" comment. Manliness and Deer Antler Spray. Unless you're asking about the deer antler spray.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Yeah I didn't then, and don't now, have a clue what you are talking about.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Piper would have been fine. That promo he had on Raw a few years ago about what an honor it would have been to carry the WWE title did more for the belt than the WWE has done in years. He could adapt.

    ReplyDelete
  59. That was a Mexican guy you picked up in front of Home Depot, wasn't it?

    ReplyDelete
  60. Well *I* didn't. But I thought I implied that Chris Walker... who isn't me... was speaking to HIS gardener...

    ReplyDelete
  61. I only have one small complaint:

"Even in the modern WWE, where the Rock's numerous championship reigns were seen as evidence of a postracial wrestling world, there have been plentiful steps backward for every step forward. The first African American champion, Ron Simmons, was feuding with Vader and his manager, the legendary Harley Race, when Race said to him, "When I was World Champion, I had a boy like you to carry my bags!" "

Simmons/Race was in WCW, NOT WWF/E.

Other than that, this has been a damn good read.

    ReplyDelete
  62. I didn't know if the implication was Chris Walker actually had the real Jesus cutting his hedges or if it was a Mexican. I decided to play it safe and go for the racist joke anyway. Racism aside, I needed help cutting down a rotting tree in my yard and turned to a couple of people of somewhat Spanish desent. Great workers, couldn't have asked for better and when I bought lunch both seemed really appreciative even though it was just Subways. And when I paid them I gave them extra, they came back and said I had made a mistake and I told them it was fine to keep the extra quarter.

    ReplyDelete
  63. You claim others have mental illness, but you spend hours a day attempting to troll strangers.
    Hmmmm.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Educating is not trolling. Your assertion is quite telling.

    ReplyDelete
  65. He wasn't claiming otherwise.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Well he said the steps backward were in the modern WWE and then used a not-very-modern example that wasn't in WWE.

    ReplyDelete
  67. He was talking about the Rock.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Ok, but look at the full sentence. You can take the parenthetical part out and you're left with: "Even in the modern WWE, there have been
plentiful steps backward for every step forward." That sentence means that both the steps forward and the steps backward were in WWE.

    ReplyDelete
  69. The piece was about all of wrestling, not just WWE.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Ok, but that's not what his sentence means, as written. If that's not what he meant, then it's a writing mistake.

    ReplyDelete
  71. You forgot the "postracial wrestling world". He is talking about the entire industry.

    ReplyDelete
  72. The sentence still starts with, "Even in the modern WWE." If taking the parenthetical statement between the commas out of a sentence changes the intended meaning of a sentence, that is a mistake.

    ReplyDelete
  73. What makes it even stranger is that there were so many opportunities. Kane returns and attacks the Wyatts....like, one show BEFORE Daniel Bryan starts a feud with them. He then joins the Authority....right AFTER Daniel Bryan ends a feud with them. By altering their timeline, either way, by a week or so and they could have had that moment and it would have made sense.

    ReplyDelete
  74. How do I unlock all hidden characters in the TNA game for xbox?

    ReplyDelete
  75. That doesn't seem like a troll to me. I haven't seen Evan Bourne's brother wrestle, but I wouldn't doubt he is terrible.

    ReplyDelete
  76. I found his take on the Guerreros disturbingly reductive. Eddie wouldn't have gotten that WM 20 moment if he were just playing a caricature.

    ReplyDelete
  77. He was responding to Dougie's grammatical correction of my post

    ReplyDelete
  78. No, he is mucled, therefore when he bombs in the box office it wont be his fault, it will be Bryan and Punk's, their curtain jerk mid card match didn't bring the buys damn it!

    ReplyDelete
  79. As for Bourne's brother

    http://www.rspwfaq.net/2013/07/roh-tv-june-27th-28th-edition-steel.html
    His name is Mike Sydal

    LOOK at that tattoo, AWFUL

    http://img228.imageshack.us/img228/1641/iwams20100321springheat.jpg

    ReplyDelete
  80. i know i'm not aline when my 1st thought was, "ok, how does he factor in the hhh/booker t feud?"

    ReplyDelete
  81. Swinney is right, grammatically the sentence suggests Simmons was a WWE/F champion

    ReplyDelete
  82. So apparently Big Show was injured over the weekend at house shows and has a pronounced limp, but he's going to work through it =x_x=

The Big Show / Orton match just got even better now.

    ReplyDelete
  83. 6'3, 265 pounds and a head of hair that would make Kevin Nash jealous.

Dear god Roman Reigns is going to be on top longer than John Cena won't he?

    ReplyDelete
  84. This is gonna be the drizzling shits.

    ReplyDelete
  85. London completely sabotaged every kind of push he had. He was his own worst enemy.
Kendrick didnt care enough to stop smoking pot during his singles push.

    ReplyDelete
  86. Amsterdam_Adam_CurryNovember 11, 2013 at 2:48 PM

HHH cut his hair, so I don't think that having Nash-quality hair helps anymore. Though it sure as shit won't do any harm.

    ReplyDelete
  87. How about you actually just post about wrestling on here, and nothing else? As opposed to just copying what you see here and posting it on another forum.

    ReplyDelete
  88. Patterson couldn't handle the girth.

    ReplyDelete
  89. Smoking pot is basically the only thing he does that I like. And I don't event think that's a strike, is it? Just a fine.
A tiny man doing a shooting star press. No thank you.

    ReplyDelete
  90. I hate to say this, because I don't want to see these guys suffer a bad injury, but I got excited reading the first twelve or so words of your post and then it all came back down to Earth.

    ReplyDelete
  91. How about you make me a pastrami sandwich?

    ReplyDelete
  92. London's always been a guy who firmly believes that it's his way or no way and he's burned a ton of bridges because of that attitude despite being a guy who never made it big enough anywhere to even begin to justify feeling like he had some stroke to start making demands.

When he said he was stepping away from wrestling to concentrate on acting a while back, I couldn't shake the feeling that it was more "no promotion wants to book me" than a desire to go to Hollywood.

    ReplyDelete
  93. Not necessarily. It doesn't mean that the turn didn't work, just that people don't see him as a future world champion, which is fine because I don't either.
