Daily Network Thread - 2/28/14

Highlights of the live stream today include a replay of NXT Arrival, replay of Survivor Series 2012, and the debut of the Smackdown pre-show, and Smackdown Backstage Pass. I, like many others, attempted to enjoy the NXT show last night, and the stream pretty much crapped out for everybody at the same point. Alas, I never fully recovered the stream in time to enjoy the main event. But I did get to see the first run Superstars! I can forgive the technical glitches early on, as long as it runs smoothly in the future. MLB.TV had a lot of issues in it's own early run, but is now one of the best streaming services available.

If you're discovering a PPV you have never seen before, put it here. If you're enjoying a show that you've seen countless times, put it here. If you've been ostracized from your circle of MMA-loving friends for falling deeply in love with a piece of technology like you're a much less likeable version of Joaquin Phoenix, put it here.

  1. It's like each crowd tries to one up the next, it's getting annoying.

  2. Not writers since you have to be a soap opera writer or something for that position, but bookers, I guess so.

  3. Emma reminds me of Molly Holly, and I mean that in the nicest possible way. Also, rawr!

  4. He actually looked halfway decent when he was Jericho's bodyguard.
Was in awful shape for his Undertaker feud

  5. Agreed. Coulda done without big steph tho. Everything about her just screams fake and sense of entitlement.

  6. Note to WWE: If you stock your women's division with wrestlers and not incompetent fitness models, crowd WILL get invested in the division.

  7. It's awful. I mean EVERYTHING got a "This Is Awesome" chant. They were just trying too hard. I mean, the Cesaro upper cut to Zayn through the ropes gets a "Holy Shit" chant? It was awesome, but not worth of that chant.

Also, always hate promotion chants. Not a fan of "NXT! NXT! NXT!"

  8. I saw Emma's debut on Raw the other night, and wasn't sure what to think. But then, her catchy as hell theme got stuck in my head. So, I youtubed a bunch of her stuff. Crushing on her already.

  9. The old clash of champions shows are coming! Apparently a lot of stuff will be added after the free trial ends.

  10. Is anyone else bothered by the "this is the Match of the YEAR!!!!!" stuff right now? It's fucking FEBRUARY. There's still 10 months (and Wrestlemania) to go. While I'm sure Cesaro/Ryan was a great match, it wasn't so good we should all be show sure nothing better is coming down the like.

    Calm down.

  11. Maybe we should all watch mania on a delay.

  12. I wonder if Mojo Rawley might be tabbed as Roman Reigns replacement in The Shield. Way too early for the guy, but that's got to be one of the prime call-up spots.

  13. I havent yet but if you type in "rspwfaq bayless shoot" into Google, just about all of them show up.
I hope to either archive or release an e-book on them in the future

  14. Which brainbuster we talking.

Standard, top rope, or (most insane) on the apron

  15. I don't get what her gimmick is (based on Raw/Smackdown/Arrival) but she's clearly a good wrestler.

  16. I've only seen two of his matches, but Mojo seems to suck. His gimmick is that he's full of energy, but the first thing he does is grab an armbar? Makes no sense.

  17. Nothing wrong with "Match of the Year so far," which is all I think anyone is really saying. And hell, it's nice to see some genuine enthusiasm for what we're watching.

  18. Also: I freaking love the Bo Dallas character. That's exactly how Cena should be if he ever goes heel in the future.

  19. Haven't watched the main event yet, but everything up to that point was excellent and entertaining. The Zayn/Cesaro match was exciting from start to finish and I was blown away by how much BETTER Paige and Emma are than anyone on the main roster (except perhaps AJ). I haven't seen workrate like that in a women's match since Velvet McIntyre back in the 1980s.

This was the first NXT show I've seen and I'm really excited to see more, and WAY more excited about NXT than WrestleMania XXX, so kudos. Oh, and Regal needs to replace JBL on RAW, like immediately.

  20. Yeah, that entrance music is weirdly hypnotizing.

  21. Agreed about the promotion chants. That's one of ECW's least enjoyable contributions to wrestling.

  22. Pretty sure he's always been D-Lo, but I don't think he was named as such on camera yet.
