Rays-Red Sox tonight, then I'm gonna check out some British sci-fi flick called Attack the Block.

    Also, sushi is over-rated.

    ReplyDelete
  2. Hell there's a UFC even tonight? I was a big MMA fan, but it all seems too watered down now.

    ReplyDelete
  3. I think it's fine but nothing special.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Anyone watching a PPV on the Network tonight?

    ReplyDelete
  5. Spurs wrap it up tonight! C'mon guys!

    ReplyDelete
  6. I might in lieu of somehow jinxing my team by watching them live.

I'm one of those guys sometimes.

    ReplyDelete
  7. I'm probably going to go out and get shitplowed...doing that where I live is a double negative.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Double-header. There was an afternoon card from Germany I think (Mousasi vs. Munoz). Card was dreadful but I hit all my bets so I'm in a good mood.

Night show is the TUF Brazil finale, on Fox Sports 1 in half an hour.

    It's free MMA, can't complain.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Just got back from the Tribe game. Sweet victory.

    ReplyDelete
  10. I want to do WM19. Just throwing that out there.

    ReplyDelete
  11. I'm going to try to watch Summerslam 99', the network was down on everything except my phone last night.

    ReplyDelete
  12. I can't either...but way too many events and no idea when in the hell they are. I have a feeling Gegard got wrestlefucked.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Why didn't the fans rally behind Chavo Guerrero when Kane destroyed him in eight seconds for the title at Wrestlemania?

    ReplyDelete
  14. Hmm I may try that. Don't remember anything outside of the main event and Rock-Billy Gunn

    ReplyDelete
  15. Jobber was raving about it.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Went the other way. Munoz got trashed in the 1st. It was the real Mousasi this afternoon.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Aviles was a miracle worker today. 3 hits, one the game winner.

    ReplyDelete
  18. About an hour and 15 north

    ReplyDelete
  19. Yeah, I'll do one.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Lol good...I've always liked Mousasi

    ReplyDelete
  21. Watching last year's Payback before I start making dinner. I did absolutely nothing today after I got home from the gym.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Chavo had some sweet attire though at that Mania.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Gotcha. I'm at Cleveland but have some buddies there.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Absolutely no one cared about Chavo, since no one ever gave us any reason to care about Chavo.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Tessmacher and Robbie E are going to be on Amazing Race.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I didn't do much either. Went to the gym, destroyed a bird's nest, then went to the Indians game.

    You worried about your Yanks?

    ReplyDelete
  27. Alright we got Cumpton against Ryu from Street Fighter in LA

    ReplyDelete
  28. Tessmacher's ass may be the only reason to ever watch the Amazing Race.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I want to see Duncan get another ring, but I think it's going seven.

    ReplyDelete
  30. TEW13 booking success continues, as now I am about to steal the SWF's version of the Young Bucks, except with less attitude and more psychology. And the SWF let them go without even a reup contract offer. Who says the CVerse ain't realistic?

    ReplyDelete
  31. I have never seen a good Chavo match that didn't include Eddie.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I've seen it too many times.

    ReplyDelete
  33. His matches with Punk were passable.

    ReplyDelete
  34. You ever had the Catch-22 of a pretty decent job but shitty area?

    ReplyDelete
  35. TWO UFC shows today? LOL wow they are really oversaturating.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I like sushi quite a bit, which surprised the hell out of me the first time I tried it. I definitely wouldn't strike most people as the sushi type.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Mania 19, Summerslam '99 were the two suggested. I'd watch either though to be honest....

    ReplyDelete
  38. It makes zero sense and looking at the schedule they're going to do it several more times this year.

    WHY?

    ReplyDelete
  39. Beach Blast 92.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Eh. It's still early in the season. The continued injury attack is frustrating, but I'll give it another month or so before I get really concerned. There's no way the Jays don't cycle down a bit in the next few weeks.

Plus, the entirety of the AL East has been horrendous. I didn't think the Yanks would win the Series this year, so I'm not as invested as I was a few seasons ago. I just want them to finish ahead of the Red Sox.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Can on can violence?

    ReplyDelete
  42. Wonder if they'll hype TNA? Or at least show footage if they're billed as pro wrestlers at least?

    ReplyDelete
  43. Just curious since I've been out of touch: Is Ronda Rousey a proven draw at this point?

    ReplyDelete
  44. Incredibly average, he's a Villano with a last name.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Somehow, going to TNA made me loathe him. I went from not giving a shit about him to absolutely hating him in a handful of appearances.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Every team in the East has been inconsistent. I agree with you 100% that the Jays aren't going to last. Shocked at how bad the Rays have been doing. I'm going to see the Red Sox play the Indians on Tuesday. Want me to shout any obscenities?

    ReplyDelete
  47. It's good, but relative to price

    ReplyDelete
  48. Think is the first Saturday in a while I just get to stay home and do not a damn thing. Thank God. I'm just not much of a fan of large crowds.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Not really. They are minor shows on free TV.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Ditto. How about a Clash of the Champions? Or maybe SummerSlam 1989?

    ReplyDelete
  51. I didn't mind him until he completely copied Eddie once he passed away. Finishers, movesets, attire, poses, everything stolen.

    ReplyDelete
  52. He thinks he is way better than he is.

    ReplyDelete
  53. When Ortiz comes to bat, try to get a Big Porky chant going. I like calling him that.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Sure, she's no Lesnar,GSP or Silva though.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Yeah, that's a big part of it. Like, carve out your own identity instead of leeching off of your dead uncle.

Even doing that, he couldn't draw a dime.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Yep. They are billed as "dating pro wrestlers".

    ReplyDelete
  57. No one ever hypes TNA.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Cumdumpston has the Pirates in a 2-0 hole in the 1st

    ReplyDelete
  59. Ooh, I can get behind this. Sting-Cactus? Yes, please.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Clash 91!

    I kid, I kid.

    ReplyDelete
  61. What was the reason for Rick Rude's US Title not being on the line in a damn Iron Man match?

    ReplyDelete
  62. So Beach Blast 1992? Sting/Cactus, Rude/Steamboat, Miracle Violence Connection/Steiners?

    ReplyDelete
  63. Looks like this one is winning.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Sure, that works. At 7?

    ReplyDelete
  65. I can't believe it because http://po.st/JHE9ud

    ReplyDelete
  66. 40+ shows a year not including the 27 different variations of The Ultimate Fighter seem like oversaturation to me.

But hell even if he wants a card a week, why schedule 2 on the same day?

    ReplyDelete
  67. 8 EST? I'm gonna grab a bath real fast.

    ReplyDelete
  68. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

    ReplyDelete
  69. davidbonzaisaldanamontgomeryMay 31, 2014 at 5:45 PM

Dodgers on the telly, Spurs coming up in a bit...if I didn't order pizza the other day, this would be a pizza kinda day.

Sadly, I've had it with boxing; I used to watch HBO Boxing reguarly (and ESPN FNF), but the Bradley/Pacman fight hit my threshold of corrupt judging. Done with the sport.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Doing a Super J cup on FPW X premium now.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Absolutely. I think he had a reputation online for being really good for a while quite a long time ago, but I never cared for him.

    ReplyDelete
  72. I heard him on Jericho's show where he describes him and Rey having an incredible match on a Raw from Mexico City and then guys coming up to him after calling it one of the best matches they've ever seen.

I have no memory of it whatsoever.

    ReplyDelete
  73. davidbonzaisaldanamontgomeryMay 31, 2014 at 5:47 PM

    Rule ALL the markets!

    ReplyDelete
  74. Again but why on the same day?

Saturday night card, sunday afternoon or what have you?

People are already growing tired of C-List shows, why water it down more?

    ReplyDelete
  75. I'm off to start dinner, but I'll join in once I put things in the oven.

    ReplyDelete
  76. I've never been into boxing. I got pretty interested in UFC for a while several years ago, but I lost interest there, as well. I guess I like my fighting scripted.

    ReplyDelete
  77. I got Fire Pro Returns on my PS2 emulator, and remember one of that game's biggest flaws: The anti-matter double leg takedown. You gotta avoid those MMA guise in FPW, they make fights look tarded.

    ReplyDelete
  78. Sting's title wasn't on the line in his match against Cactus, either. It was an almost total throw away show.

    ReplyDelete
  79. First card wasn't even on TV it was on the fightpass only.

UFC treats overseas events like they don't "count". They're not even run as gate draws, they're run as loss leaders trying to build an audience overseas.

Business wise it makes sense from a certain point of view. I don't agree with it, I would stack cards and try to consolidate in America but that's why I'm a 9-to-5 shlub and not a guy running a media corporation.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Funny thing about this game,it has Rickson Gracie.

    ReplyDelete
  81. Stranger in the AlpsMay 31, 2014 at 5:50 PM

Chavo has always been, for me, an adequate worker but zero charisma. If you expect **1/2, usually you'll get it.

    ReplyDelete
  82. The 196 different "World Champions" helped me lose complete interest.

Plus do you really need 18 different weight classes?

    ReplyDelete
  83. This'll be my first time seeing BB92. Seems like a stacked show.

    ReplyDelete
  84. Powers of Pain? That should be interesting.

    ReplyDelete
  85. davidbonzaisaldanamontgomeryMay 31, 2014 at 5:51 PM

Yeah, I used to be into MMA as well, but the diluted cards and endless events have taken the shine off it, esp. once FOX picked it up. Just a few years ago, I was still a big fight fan, now I couldn't really give a shit about either. And even my WWE-dom is apathetic at the moment, I basically just watch old stuff on the network and NXT.

    ReplyDelete
  86. Stranger in the AlpsMay 31, 2014 at 5:51 PM

I do. "You fucking suck, Michael Brantley!!"

    ReplyDelete
  87. The UFC considers her one. I'm inclined to agree. The last card she headlined had literally nothing else of value on it and it still exceeded expectations. That signals that the only people buying were buying for her.

As of now I would imagine she's #3 on the depth chart for the promotion behind Jones and Cain. She'd naturally fall if GSP came back, if a charismatic WW like Lawler or Brown won the belt or if Weidman turns into a real star.

It's more a sign of how weak their main event roster is that she's one of their horses right now.

    ReplyDelete
  88. That's one kick ass card for being a throw away show.

    ReplyDelete
  89. I haven't seen it in a long time, but I remember it being really good.

    ReplyDelete
  90. Stranger in the AlpsMay 31, 2014 at 5:52 PM

BOO! I say Yanks fans and Red Sox fans unite against the Rays. Also, Rays will win NOTHING with Joe Maddon leading the way.

    ReplyDelete
  91. Accordling to MLB.com, Cumpton is in the hole. No, really?

    ReplyDelete
  92. And another future jobber pops up! This one oesn't even need a name change.

    ReplyDelete
  93. Down with the RAYS!

    ReplyDelete
  94. It's pretty easy to counter, once you're on the ground.

I say easy in a Fire Pro sense, of course.

    ReplyDelete
  95. davidbonzaisaldanamontgomeryMay 31, 2014 at 5:53 PM

That's the worst of it, the alphabet titles made titles as meaningless as the WWE ones. One of the big reasons I got into UFC during its boom was the lure of one company being the alpha in the sport, so you had one legit champion per division, knew who the contenders were, and from there, they could build on that anticipation. But with events seemingly weekly now, there's no special-ness to anything there anymore.

    ReplyDelete
  96. Stranger in the AlpsMay 31, 2014 at 5:53 PM

Geez, dude. He's no Benji Molina.

    ReplyDelete
  97. davidbonzaisaldanamontgomeryMay 31, 2014 at 5:53 PM

Uh huh huh. Uh huh huh.

    ReplyDelete
  98. No, I'm saying when the CPU does a double leg on a CPU sometimes they go right through the guy or miss him because the opponent is in an animation. It looks like a Botchamania worthy moment every time it happens.

    ReplyDelete
  99. Ohh, I gotcha. Yeah, clipping is one of the biggest issues, I shouldn't have to learn to incorporate it into the gameplay.

    ReplyDelete
  100. Because of my work schedule, I can't really watch Raw or Smackdown, so I keep up with the current stuff through here and various videos online. And of course, I watch the hell out of old stuff on the network.

I think once some of the bigger names in UFC from the last several years got older and stuff, I really lost interest.

    ReplyDelete
  101. Benoit is out,Guerrero advances to the next round.

    ReplyDelete
  102. Stranger in the AlpsMay 31, 2014 at 5:55 PM

    Flagged you, you spamming WHORE!

    ReplyDelete
  103. Benoit/Guerrero in a first-round match? Shenanigans.

    ReplyDelete
  104. davidbonzaisaldanamontgomeryMay 31, 2014 at 5:55 PM

Yeah she is, her gates have been good; people can take confidence that there's a high probability of her snapping someone's arm at a right angle.

    ReplyDelete
  105. Now Ohtani/Hayabusa.

    ReplyDelete
  106. davidbonzaisaldanamontgomeryMay 31, 2014 at 5:56 PM

Am I the only one who doesn't see it? Victoria's was better, esp in her 2004 good-guy booty shorts.

    ReplyDelete
  107. When i was growing up, boxing had the WBA,WBC & IBF now they've added the WBO and who knows how many more?

If boxing could consolidate into one giant world recognized A+ promotion with only one true world champion in their weight class it would gain greatly.

Their would still be minor league cards of course, but that's my dream. But i'll NEVER EVER happen of course.

    ReplyDelete
  108. Five minutes remaining

    ReplyDelete
  109. Hayabusa wins by Orange crush.

    ReplyDelete
  110. Stranger in the AlpsMay 31, 2014 at 5:59 PM

Is that where he grabs a drink from a ringside fan, shakes it up, and sprays it in the opponents eyes, temporarily blinding him enough for the three count?

    ReplyDelete
  111. davidbonzaisaldanamontgomeryMay 31, 2014 at 5:59 PM

The whole sport got hurt by never making that Manny/Floyd fight to happen. No matter who was at fault, someone had to put that fight together. I respect Mayweather's skill, but his record is mostly a paper record and you can't call yourself a GOAT when you haven't beaten all the best guys in your era. Boxing is all about who you beat, not your record; no one gives a shit about Ali's record, because they knew who he beat.

    ReplyDelete
  112. I'll take Stacy Keibler any day.

    ReplyDelete
  113. Ok guise, any idea what my Velocity/Heat-esque show in TEW13 should be called? I'm getting it fairly soon from the looks of it.

    ReplyDelete
  114. Heatseeker

    ReplyDelete
  115. Ric Flair had to have won like two matches that way.

    ReplyDelete
  116. Stranger in the AlpsMay 31, 2014 at 6:00 PM

    Torque

    ReplyDelete
  117. Rave. I'm not sure. Just popped in my head.

    ReplyDelete
  118. davidbonzaisaldanamontgomeryMay 31, 2014 at 6:01 PM

    Speed
    Acceleration
    Supersonic

    ReplyDelete
  119. I wonder how many WWE fans in Chicago are trying to sell their tickets. I mean it's one thing to go to a show when the hometown guy isn't there, but the fact that arguably the city's most popular team is playing a Game 7 is probably more can't miss than a mediocre B-PPV.

    ReplyDelete
  120. It wasn't that long ago being Heavyweight Champion of the world was THE top of the mountain in all of sports pretty much, hell it was like that for 80 years.

Now it's just another title, most people couldn't even name a Klitchko brother.

    ReplyDelete
  121. I should have gone on a beer run. ._.

    ReplyDelete
  122. Kinda strange to see Bill Watts and Eric Bischoff on screen together, knowing what happens soon after.

    ReplyDelete
  123. Can we postpone to 7:15ish?

    ReplyDelete
  124. davidbonzaisaldanamontgomeryMay 31, 2014 at 6:03 PM

And not only will they not fight each other, there's no heavyweight who can even make them break a sweat. Them fighting a guy like Chris Arreola would be like Dredrick Tatum vs. Homer.

    ReplyDelete
  125. It's awesome. 1992 was a great year for both companies.

    ReplyDelete
  126. Found this on Youtube. Who is the mystery man? Beefcake? I vaguely remember this and it seemed to go nowhere. Wonder what was up?

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lplY3s_h2Nc

    ReplyDelete
  127. Man, what a long day.

    ReplyDelete
  128. davidbonzaisaldanamontgomeryMay 31, 2014 at 6:05 PM

You think THAT'S bad? Watch the Friends Thanksgiving episode with Brad Pitt in the I Hate Rachel Green Club.

  129. Stranger in the AlpsMay 31, 2014 at 6:05 PM

There's a live RAW coming to Austin on 8/4. If I happen to make it there, I'm going to blow up my avatar on some paperboard and try to get it on TV. Kinda like a BoD shout out.

    ReplyDelete
  130. I'm gonna be throwing a few back tonight so I might be up for that later.

    ReplyDelete
  131. I want to do that on a show one day as well.

    ReplyDelete
  132. My UFC fandom generally depends on who's fighting. Like if Silva or GSP was fighting that night, I'd plan my day around that. But since they're both gone and I'm pretty meh on Bones Jones, I haven't watched in a while.

Although I will say, if even I'm apathetic toward it, I'll jump on the chance to go see it live any day. Best 5-6 hours spent on random Saturday.

    ReplyDelete
  133. Stranger in the AlpsMay 31, 2014 at 6:06 PM

Then the BoD can say "Is that Stranger??"

    ReplyDelete
  134. Raws gonna be here June 16th. I'll be going but not behind the ring.

    ReplyDelete
  135. We have a Raw coming here in December. I'm actually looking forward to it; I haven't been to a live show in a long time.

    ReplyDelete
  136. davidbonzaisaldanamontgomeryMay 31, 2014 at 6:06 PM

Like the hero in The Lego Movie, I'm too generic to have any good BoD shout-out that would point me out. And I'm not putting this ugly mug on a posterboard!

    ReplyDelete
  137. Then why didn't Kerwin White get a bigger push?

    ReplyDelete
  138. I'm ok with that, although I just fast forwarded to 5 minutes in when I hit play

    ReplyDelete
  139. Stranger in the AlpsMay 31, 2014 at 6:07 PM

I've done a TV taping back in the 90's, but I haven't been to a live TV or PPV.

    ReplyDelete
  140. Gedo is out.

    ReplyDelete
  141. I want to go, but I'm coming back from a trip on that day.

    ReplyDelete
  142. davidbonzaisaldanamontgomeryMay 31, 2014 at 6:08 PM

Andrew McCutchen has as many homers as Carl Crawford. Serves me right for overpaying the fuck out of him in the BoD fantasy baseball auction draft.

    ReplyDelete
  143. I've been to the two Raws they had in Brooklyn. Had a lot of fun. I won't waste my time on a live event, though.

    ReplyDelete
  144. It was a house show.

    ReplyDelete
  145. You probably won't miss anything. Going anywhere good?

    ReplyDelete
  146. What are you doing in FPW?

    ReplyDelete
  147. Scotty Flamingo was so much fun. Raven was such a complete 180 from what he was doing before.

    ReplyDelete
  148. Yeah, I have been to two house shows. Bleh

    ReplyDelete
  149. Florida, an annual trip.

    ReplyDelete
  150. Great episode! Might be my favorite Thanksgiving episode they did.

    ReplyDelete
  151. Super J cup

    ReplyDelete
  153. Jesse: Isn't Miami of Ohio the junior college you go to before you get to go to Miami of Florida?

    Awesome

    ReplyDelete
  154. He got better.

    ReplyDelete
  155. I've gone to the last two MSG Christmas shows. The first one was fun, but the last one felt like such a waste of time.

I wish they would go back to MSG for a Raw.

    ReplyDelete
  156. Gonna celebrate my top 5 spot at Disney World!

    ReplyDelete
  157. Pretty terrific how they presented Raven as what Scott Levy was really feeling at the time.

    ReplyDelete
  158. Eh. angsty teenaged/early-20s me loved Raven, too. But as I get older, I can appreciate Scotty Flamingo/Johnny Polo a lot more.

    ReplyDelete
  159. davidbonzaisaldanamontgomeryMay 31, 2014 at 6:12 PM

Oh yeah, it's great. Brad Pitt corpsing when Joey comes in with the maternity pants is the cherry on top.

    ReplyDelete
  160. I feel that my sign should just be one big question mark.

    ReplyDelete
  161. Oh, it was a brilliant character turnaround, and I give Scott Levy a lot of credit for being a great character on both ends of the spectrum, but someone maybe should have treated him for manic-depression.

    ReplyDelete
  162. It was Brutus Beefcake, angle never went anywhere.

    ReplyDelete
  163. Oh and how did you do?

    ReplyDelete
  164. Semi finals Lyger vs Guerrero, place your bets.

    ReplyDelete
  165. CO against Jado.

    ReplyDelete
  166. I watched this show on a satellite in my aunt and uncle's house in Mexico on a vacation. The channel didn't pick up any sound. I don't think I minded during the bikini contest...

    ReplyDelete
  167. davidbonzaisaldanamontgomeryMay 31, 2014 at 6:14 PM

What the hell with Sterling Marte dropping the ball? Even Puig would say that was dumb as hell.

Good to see Ethier drive the ball with authority as of late.

    ReplyDelete
  168. Same here. When I was younger, I didn't care for either the WCW or WWF incarnations of the guy. But now, I like both a lot more.

    ReplyDelete
  169. How far into BB are we?

    ReplyDelete
  170. I watching Summerslam 99', sign in the crowd: My Balls itch

    ReplyDelete

Baseball? About a third of the way now.

    ReplyDelete
  172. One of all time underrated wrestlers.

    ReplyDelete
  173. I'm about 15 minutes in.

    ReplyDelete
  174. I have zero recollection of that.

    ReplyDelete
  175. Where are we at in the ppv?

    ReplyDelete
  176. !!!

According to F4WOnline.com, TNA star MVP suffered a knee injury during a Preston City Wrestling event in The UK last night.

The injury took place during a tag team match, and MVP later said it was a "popping of the knee." He reportedly limped to the back immediately following the injury.

MVP was scheduled to work tonight's Preston City event, but is unable to as the injury put him on crutches. MVP cut a promo at the event saying X-Rays proved inconclusive and he will have to undergo an MRI.

MVP is scheduled to face Eric Young at TNA Slammiversary for the TNA Title, and it's unknown at this time whether or not MVP's injury will put the bout in jeopardy.

  177. So I've been completely hosed by my game, as now I'm locked into a crappy TV deal and can't get a "B" show for all my talent to be properly used until winter. So I'm gonna have to have a big-time non-PPV or TV "house show" with an awesome main event every single week just so I can avoid having to constantly put my guise into 10 man tags on my pre-show. FUCK!
