Idea for the title that may have already been thought about

I'll admit to not being much of a dirt sheet reader so I'm not sure if this idea has been considered.

Anyhow you have a guy of Bryan's choosing be able to defend the title for him. As months go on this guy gets even more attached to the belt. Thinks of himself as the actual champion. One Raw Bryan returns to take his title back. As he goes to take it back, he's blind sided with a shot right to the head. Boom, insta feud.

Either way as long as I get Bryan vs Lesnar next mania, and Cena challenging for Taker's streak I'll be happy (What, they actually threw away the streak before doing one of the last true main event matches they still had? Well Vince deserves losing all that money now.)

You know you just described Stevie Ray stealing the TV title from Booker T, right?  Although in that instance WCW kind of forgot that he was supposed to be the "fake" champion after a while and just had him defend it for real.

  1. There was a report somewhere about Ziggler defending the strap against Kane, but obviously they didn't do that. I think they should just keep it on Bryan. It will only be another month or so. Not like the US title or IC title ever took a long break between defenses before or anything.....

  2. I'm not surprised they haven't used the UFC "interim champion" deal to set up a unification match when Bryan's healthy. Disappointed, but not surprised.

  3. Bryan hands the title over to Punk at Payback....says some Punk fan still holding out hope somewhere.

  4. Kaufman originally pitched his idea for wrestling to Vince Sr. but WWWF turned it down. At this point, I think WWE will eventually put Kaufman into the HOF but only when they have the ability to monetize it (i.e. own the Memphis footage to DVD it). Kaufman's estate has shown receptiveness to wrestling projects, and allowed him to be featured as a character in several non-WWE wrestling games back in the early 2000s.

  5. It's more like, I think Vader defending the US Title for Rick Rude when he had a World Title shot. Didn't Vader just keep the belt afterwards?

  6. They're probably afraid Kaufman faked his death and would randomly show up at the ceremony and cause a scene.

  7. Scratch that, that's exactly the reason TO induct him into the HoF...

  8. The whole guy who fights women shtick he did probably doesn't help the case for any future retrospectives on his career by wwe either.
