Back from vacation, ready to go coming off watching Summerslam 2014.....in response to yesterday's question, I would say pretty much every good heel from the 80s (I was a huge mark), but more than anybody I would say Ole & Arn Anderson. What a mean couple of guys.....nowadays, I can definitely appreciate their heel work in the 80s
Today's Question: I'll keep it short and sweet today.....What would you say is the high point, and what is the low point from the Summer Slam 2014PPV Special Event?
Today's Question: I'll keep it short and sweet today.....What would you say is the high point, and what is the low point from the Summer Slam 2014
High point: Brock crushes Cena, sees him driven before him, and he's the lamentations of the Cenation.
ReplyDeleteLow point: Everything else.
Low point: Hogan's shameless and stupid schilling of the network
ReplyDeleteHigh point: Cena being BF'ed
Low Point: Roman Reigns is nowhere near ready to work 20-minute PPV singles matches. It literally was Punchfest '14 until the last 5 minutes when he used his 4 big moves.
ReplyDeleteHigh Point: The best Lumberjack Match possible, and the complete destruction of John Cena is a tie.
High point: Cena having only signed up for the Six Suplex Commitment, but forgetting to turn off Auto-Renewal.
ReplyDeleteLow point: "And for your opening segment tonight...TAYLOR SCHILLING NETWORK SHILLING!"
High point: Brock
ReplyDeleteLow point: Steph/Bella bullshit
Stephanie busting out the Curt Hennig flip over snapmare was pretty awesome. :P
ReplyDeleteHigh point: Brock, obviously. They're finally building someone to be a monster, albeit the extremely easiest person to do it with.
ReplyDeleteLow point: Reigns. I've been teetering with turning against his push since the Rumble. Tonight confirmed that, he's garbage.
Low point by far: Cesaro losing on the preshow to RVD (went from winning the WM battle royale and teaming with heyman to being a JTTS)
ReplyDeleteHigh Point: Cena getting his ass kicked
The heat for Rollins/Ambrose was unreal and the heat for Reigns match was just "meh."
ReplyDeleteHigh point: Brock shrugging off everything like Cena was a 65 OVR
ReplyDeleteLow point: The Bellas in a co-main event. Fuck that shit.
Third from top.
ReplyDeleteHigh Point: Brock's laugh after the first F-5.
ReplyDeleteLow Point: HHH selling Brie's kick.
Was hoping the QoTD would be "How would you book Brock through WM?"
It was treated as one.
ReplyDeleteHigh: Lesnar just utterly dominating.
ReplyDeleteLow: Orton and Reigns chinlock-a-thon when the match should have been a 5 minute Reigns squash.
unfortunately I believe that the WWE won't acknowledge this in any way.
ReplyDeleteLow point: Listening to that one kid trying to get a "Let's Go Cena" chant at the end of the night. I felt pretty bad for him by the time BROCK LESNAR hit his 10th German suplex on Cena.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, was the HUGE German announce team a clue that Brock would be hitting Cena with a HUGE amount of German suplexes? I figure it could be...
High point? How could it be anything but the Beast winning the title?
Like I said last night, Reigns-Orton was the cool down match scheduled between the two main events.
ReplyDeleteHigh Point was was the main event though to me the Ambrose Rollins fight was up there.
ReplyDeleteLow Point was Bray/Jericho. Bray has to up tempo of his matches to hold the crowd and as for Jericho..it was sad to see home not really able to bring it in the ring anymore.
High point was Rollins and Ambrose for me, low point with Nikki turning on Brie .... WAY too predictable.
ReplyDeleteThey're back to calling them pay per views on tv, guys. I think the "network special" joke is done.
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed every match up to and including Ambrose v Rollins was grand.
ReplyDeleteEverything after it was mehhh-to-shit, including the main event, although that did at least have the right booking, it was just boring.
High point: Alex Riley's hair
ReplyDeleteLow point: Nikki Bella turns heel
