Comments

  1. No review until tomorrow? WTF Bayless??

    ReplyDelete
  2. Didn't realize it was a 4 hour show and got stuck at work last night and at a party now

    ReplyDelete
  3. Good for you.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Have fun watching the main event

    ReplyDelete
  5. I've made it past Joe/Bryan so far

    ReplyDelete
  6. I don't remember match order just that the main event is infamous for being awful

    ReplyDelete
  7. Is that the scramble match with Special K and the Shit Squad

    ReplyDelete
  8. davidbonzaisaldanamontgomerySeptember 27, 2014 at 5:11 PM

    ARF ARF ARF! WU-TANG!

    ReplyDelete
  9. It is the type of performance you can expect out of him.

    ReplyDelete
  10. 1998 was a showcase year for juvy. I had forgotten how good he was.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Wcw is just having some random star studded 10 man battle royal. I don't remember this at all. Hall I guess is supposed to be drunk in this match and just got eliminated first.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Hehe..."supposed to be".

    ReplyDelete
  13. If Goldberg didn't win a battle royal could he still be undefeated?

    ReplyDelete
  14. Yeah there's an angle on that show that takes up about 30 minutes.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Why not just book a Goldberg vs Giant signles match? Also Goldberg jackhammering the giant is crazy

    ReplyDelete
  16. Yes. Even the announcers bag it

    ReplyDelete
  17. Wow they left off a lot of time for a tag team match with jay Leno in it

    ReplyDelete
  18. Much like his trainer Greg Valentine, he took half an hour to warm up.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Why did wcw have jay Leno wrestle again? Wcw doesn't do those video packages. Didn't bischoff challenge him for the tonight show or something.

    ReplyDelete
  20. First 3 PPV with Goldberg as champ: Bash at the Beach vs. Curt Hennig.

    Road Wild: Battle Royal.

    Fall Brawl: Not booked.

    ReplyDelete
  21. This is so stupid. I can't believe this was a ppv main event.

    ReplyDelete
  22. IMO he should have beat the giant twice or even hogan again at those ppvs

    ReplyDelete
  23. As established by Tatanka, yes.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Yep. Show got a pretty good buyrate, too.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Jay Leno has Hulk Hogan in a arm bar...

    ReplyDelete
  26. That's TNA type shit huh?

    ReplyDelete
  27. Then he wrestled at Halloween Havoc and a lot of people never saw it!

    ReplyDelete
  28. No, cause he just said it got a good buyrate. *rimshot*

    ReplyDelete
  29. To be fair that was the only time my dad was really into wrestling, and then, for a brief moment, we shared a mutual interest.

Then I think Nicole Bass showed up on Raw or some other stupid ass thing happened and I was back to getting the look of "How much did my wife drink when she was pregnant?".

    ReplyDelete
  30. The Chin of 1004 Holds

    ReplyDelete
  31. If I remember correctly, Hogan and Bischoff "took over" the Tonight Show for a segment and Leno and his band leader challenged them to get the show back. The bigger problem was Leno was never on Nitro and no one believed Leno was going to be at the PPV. I don't think they even showed the Tonight Show stuff on Nitro. I think I finally saw it on YouTube much later.

    ReplyDelete
  32. They're building to page making a hot tag to Leno. This is the main event of a major wcw show

    ReplyDelete
  33. Nah I'm back in on TNA after the one BIG spoiler.

    ReplyDelete
  34. You gotta love DDP, though. Want a main eventer to get his ass handed to him and tag out to a talk show host? DDP will do it with a smile.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Doesn't Hogan sell for Kevin Eubanks in this match too?

    ReplyDelete
  36. I feel like rewatching WM30.

    ReplyDelete
  37. At least Eubanks was a semi body builder, if I recall. So that made a lot more sense than selling for Leno.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Saw NJPW Destruction's first night, Tanahashi/Shibata is good but no way near a ***** match.

    ReplyDelete
  39. He looks like a young Virgil out there

    ReplyDelete
  40. *ahem*

It's my birthday, BoD Universe. Adorn me with well wishes..........nnnnnnnnow.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Seriously??? Their match in the G1 was epic. It was easily the best I've seen this year and I thought it was an easy 5 stars. I'm surprised to hear the Destruction match doesn't match it.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Happy birthday!

    My b-day is tomorrow.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Happy birthday! 🎂🎂🎂🎁🎉🎉🎉🎂🎂🎇🎉🎉🎆🎆🎆🎁🎁🎁🎂🎂🎂🎂🎉🎉

    ReplyDelete
  44. It's a ****1/4, maybe Meltzer gave the full monty due the backstory of the two, it does have a nice post match moment where they shake hands.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Cool. Happy birthday, and your gift card to ShopTNA.com is in the mail.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Happy birthday.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Happy birthday to you too 🎉🎉🎉🎂🎂🎂🎉🎉

    ReplyDelete
  48. Happy birthday too.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Thanks! The ShopTNA card would probably be only good for another three months. Amidoingirite?

    ReplyDelete
  50. Just think of all the clearance items you can get!

    ReplyDelete
  51. Yeah...Tanahashi's not a fan of Shibata, so I get that. What did you think of the G1 match?

    ReplyDelete
  52. Stranger Danger!

    Happy Birthday!

    ReplyDelete
  53. Happy Birthday!

    TNA! TNA!

    ReplyDelete
  54. What is the protocol here? Do I have to do it here also?

    ReplyDelete
  55. I thought it was in the same level of the Destruction one, Shibata's best match in G1 was with Honma in my opinion. I wouldn't say Tanahashi is not a Shibata fan, I would say he hates him.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Thanks, man. Come into the bouncy castle.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Thanks, Jobbaire. *said like Chow-dare*

    ReplyDelete
  58. Virgil's Gimmick TableSeptember 27, 2014 at 5:45 PM

    Hap birth mang.

    ReplyDelete
  59. it was also at road wild and he is a big biker.
just like what vince and many other promoters, it got mainstream press

    ReplyDelete
  60. Nah. You're cool. Now I'm just feeding my ego.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Just because he apparently discussed his hatred of Shibata in his book?

For real, though, you're a tough grader. What did you think of Shibata/Nakamura.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Well in fairness you are the #1 mod on this site, you deserve it!

    ReplyDelete
  63. Invalid.

    lol

    ReplyDelete
  64. I would, bu my birthday last Sunday was skipped. Wait, that was my fault. Nevermind.

Oh, and happy birthday. You're older now.

    ReplyDelete
  65. rusev is still undefeated because he still hasn't eaten a pin or submitted; he lost by dq a couple times and 2 battle royals

    ReplyDelete
  66. Shots fired at Bayless. This feud must continue.

    ReplyDelete
  67. He does seemed bitter on his book.

I thought Shibata/Nakamura was ***1/2, night 1 best match to me was Goto/makabe.

    ReplyDelete
  68. I'd say shots fired at Scott. Ban-worthy? Nah.

    ReplyDelete
  69. And hopefully more mature. But that might be a stretch.

    Thanks.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Virgil's Gimmick TableSeptember 27, 2014 at 5:47 PM

And we're still asking that question today.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Ex let me see the boys today. Went and played ball with some of his friends. My body is telling me that was not a good idea. Really could use a foot message right about now.

    ReplyDelete
  72. Did you read Tanahashi's book? I haven't found a non-Japanese translation yet.

    ReplyDelete
  73. At least Leno was never in the World Title hunt.

    ReplyDelete
  74. I nominate thebrazilliankid to take care of it for you.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Happy Birthday There!

Everyone who's birthday it isn't, bookmark the link to this comment and check back when it applies to you.

    ReplyDelete
  76. JR tired to bury this on one of the roundtables and DDP wouldn't let him. I thought they were going to come to blows over that.

    ReplyDelete
  77. I read a couple of parts.

    ReplyDelete
  78. Welcome to 2014, where convenience is king.

    ReplyDelete
  79. I'll give you a birthday rap.

    Tomko, gimme a beat!

    "No."

    ReplyDelete
  80. The way I'm feeling I'd welcome it.

    ReplyDelete
  81. So did anyone catch the Arkansas-Texas A&M game?

    ReplyDelete
  82. I love how Tomko didn't change his personality whatsoever, yet he was the perfect straight man for Christian.

    ReplyDelete
  83. Thinking about watching fall brawl 98. Overall how's the show?

    ReplyDelete
  84. Congratulations, you're old!

    ReplyDelete
  85. "Yep Mode" ABeyAnce1©September 27, 2014 at 5:53 PM

    That's smart thinking

    ReplyDelete
  86. I choose not to upvote this. Your "congratulations" however, I accept.

    ReplyDelete
  87. "Yep Mode" ABeyAnce1©September 27, 2014 at 5:54 PM

    Happy birthday!

    ReplyDelete
  88. Fall Brawl '98 was horrendously awful, IIRC. That was the Wargames match with the Warrior.

    ReplyDelete
  89. "Yep Mode" ABeyAnce1©September 27, 2014 at 5:54 PM

    Happy birthday as well.

    ReplyDelete
  90. Thanks, Abeyance. I will now take back one of the many trophies I have awarded you.

    ReplyDelete
  91. So there went from potentially 4-5 upsets an hour or two ago to zero upsets. LOL.

    ReplyDelete
  92. *Pulls down zipper*

    ReplyDelete
  93. :: Clever Response ::

That's the best I can do, blood sugar is low.

Someone made an NXT tribute video that looks good.

    ReplyDelete
  95. Not gonna watch it.

    ReplyDelete
  96. "Yep Mode" ABeyAnce1©September 27, 2014 at 6:02 PM

But, it's in Japanese, that's your place of origin.

    ReplyDelete
  97. I like Adam Carolla's idea of a worthday instead of a birthday. You celebrate the anniversary of something major you did that you are very proud of (graduating college, getting a book published, getting promoted, etc.). The worthday can change when you have done something more important in your life. For me, it is September 11; I finally decided to get off my ass, lose weight the gained over the previous year, and stop feeling sorry for myself over my divorce.

    ReplyDelete
  98. "Yep Mode" ABeyAnce1©September 27, 2014 at 6:03 PM

Ah, they were just a bunch of empty cups, it's the thought that counts.

    ReplyDelete
  99. That particular day is in poor taste, and that's coming from ME!

    ReplyDelete
  100. I get Hennig at BATB because the match was already booked but the next two PPV is just bad booking.

    ReplyDelete
  101. "Yep Mode" ABeyAnce1©September 27, 2014 at 6:04 PM

If it was before 2001, no... After that day, um.....

    ReplyDelete

I AM DOING HIM AN EGG, YOU AND ME NOT FEAR RINSE, I'M SANDING UP INTO YOUR DUMB REDNECK ASS!

    I'M HUNGRY!

    ReplyDelete
  103. davidbonzaisaldanamontgomerySeptember 27, 2014 at 6:06 PM

Yep. True to college ball form, the underdog teases for 55 minutes before #LOLHIGHSEEDWINS

    ReplyDelete
  104. Yes.

My worthday would be April 20. First of all it's 4/20 so yeah maaaan, and secondly it's my hero's birthday.

    ReplyDelete
  105. davidbonzaisaldanamontgomerySeptember 27, 2014 at 6:06 PM

Stranger in the Alps.....THIS IS YOUR LIFE!

    ReplyDelete
  106. I'm from Texas A&M country and I was hoping they would lose. Hometown homer I am not.

    ReplyDelete
  107. Acknowledgement of achieving this arbitrary milestone!

    ReplyDelete
  108. Don't get the reference at all here.

    ReplyDelete
  109. davidbonzaisaldanamontgomerySeptember 27, 2014 at 6:07 PM

A head tilt and a smile, in DDP's case.

    ReplyDelete
  110. "But Coach Kennedy.....I don't want to shower with the other boys."

    ReplyDelete
  111. it's the day, I first started ddpyoga. Yeah I know it's not the greatest day to pick, but it's the day that just happened to be on.

    ReplyDelete
  112. "Yep Mode" ABeyAnce1©September 27, 2014 at 6:07 PM

Yeah, you can't screw this one up.

    ReplyDelete
  113. Acknowledgement accepted in gratitude.

    ReplyDelete
  114. You taught me that that's the appropriate response to a lackluster comment.

    ReplyDelete
  115. Acknowlegement of acknowledgement.

    ReplyDelete
  116. Says the guy who was just pulling his zipper down in response to someone saying they were hungry.

    ReplyDelete
  117. A TL;DW thing, or just general spite?

    ReplyDelete
  118. Lost amongst all the Derek Jeter love is that a steady hand in Paul Konerko is also retiring.

    ReplyDelete
  119. Takes one to know one.

Not that there's anything wrong with that...

    ReplyDelete
  120. Yeah, says the guy. Eat my pud, you gay redneck.

    ReplyDelete
  121. The only appropriate response to that is, "Sorry, I don't eat baby food."

    ReplyDelete
  122. davidbonzaisaldanamontgomerySeptember 27, 2014 at 6:11 PM

As a Dodgers fan, I'm not over the fact we let go Piazza and Konerko so early and they went off and had great careers elsewhere. But good for Paulie, he's getting a statue in Chicago, not bad for a guy who the Dodgers thought couldn't beat out Eric Karros for the job.

    ReplyDelete
  123. I'm gonna go with spite.

    ReplyDelete
  124. It's like watching 4-5 John Cena matches!

    ReplyDelete
  125. Better than the Tatanka vs HBK match at Mania 9.

    ReplyDelete
  126. davidbonzaisaldanamontgomerySeptember 27, 2014 at 6:12 PM

Watching MLB.TV in hopes that the Royals win and the Tiggers lose so the division crown (and guaranteed 5-game NLDS) will come down to a Game 162, or even 163.

    ReplyDelete
  127. I'll admit that Konerko's longevity with his productivity surprised me. I thought Karros was the guy for the Dodgers. Now he's been an analyst for years, and only worries about his hair.

    ReplyDelete
  128. You're the American president and you have to bomb one country. Who do you pick out of North Korea and Brazil?

    ReplyDelete
  129. Ichiro tied Pudge for #46 on the all-time hits list. 156 to go for 3000...he can get that in 2015 if he goes to a team that will let him be an everyday player.

    ReplyDelete
  130. davidbonzaisaldanamontgomerySeptember 27, 2014 at 6:13 PM

I love EK, he was stellar for them in the 90s (still the all-time LA Dodgers leader in HRs) but Paul was such a huge prospect for them for a few years and they never gave him a shake.

    ReplyDelete
  131. You've made a non-threatening enemy today, my friend.

    ReplyDelete
  132. I would like to see that. I'm hoping he gets out of NY. I think he can still produce, although not at the top of the order at this stage.

    ReplyDelete
  133. davidbonzaisaldanamontgomerySeptember 27, 2014 at 6:14 PM

Put him in Minnesota, they're not going anywhere for a long while.

    ReplyDelete
  134. I think if he had played his entire career in MLB he would have passed Rose

    ReplyDelete
  135. davidbonzaisaldanamontgomerySeptember 27, 2014 at 6:14 PM

That's not the link to the Scott Steiner math promo.

    ReplyDelete
  136. They carry big knives, they aren't non threatening.

    ReplyDelete
  137. A mother's erect nipple is kind of like a dick.

    ReplyDelete
  138. Nothing beats the cover of "Hey Joe."

    ReplyDelete
  139. davidbonzaisaldanamontgomerySeptember 27, 2014 at 6:15 PM

So my Network sub did expire. Was hoping I'd get some free product time like others. Oh well, I just paid off my credit card, so I'll re-up.

    ReplyDelete
  140. Huge problem in baseball right now is a lack of marketable players. I live in los angeles and can't tell you what mike trout or clayton kershaw (arguably the 2 best players) look like. Only LA player I recognize is Brian Wilson due to the beard. Shouldn't Kershaw and Trout be in 5000 commercials like Peyton Manning or Lebron James?

    ReplyDelete
  141. THIRTY THREE AND THIRDS PERCENTS

    ReplyDelete
  142. Bomb North Korea and hope the fallout reaches Brazil in the form of a tidal wave?

    ReplyDelete
  143. Then he would have gotten involved in gambling scandals. It's the curse of the #1 spot.

Of course, his first manager sent him to the minor leagues for a year, so who knows what the US baseball system would have done to him.

    ReplyDelete
  144. I prefer the one where Steiner says he isn't afraid of Joe and the only way he'd be afraid of Joe is if he was dressed up like a hamburger or smothered in Twinkie.

    ReplyDelete
  145. davidbonzaisaldanamontgomerySeptember 27, 2014 at 6:16 PM

I had a comment waiting to be approved by the Blog. What?

    ReplyDelete
  146. Iraq so we never have to go to another war there again

    ReplyDelete
  147. I was watching MLB network and didn't even realize it was Karros. The hair for one thing and also because he doesn't sound like a talking head like Frank Thomas does.

    ReplyDelete
  148. ...All right you guys, I'm outta here.

    ReplyDelete
  149. davidbonzaisaldanamontgomerySeptember 27, 2014 at 6:18 PM

Trout gets a Subway ad every commercial break during his games, and Kershaw's a bit of a quiet guy and doesn't really seek it out. But unless you're actively avoiding the Dodgers, Clayton's instantly recognizable, and considering his mega-push for MVP and drawing comparisons to Koufax, there's lots of love to go aroudn for him.

    ReplyDelete
  150. They dropped the ball on this a long time ago and it's only now that it's catching up to them. The players are there but the new commish better have his crap together.

    ReplyDelete
  151. davidbonzaisaldanamontgomerySeptember 27, 2014 at 6:18 PM

I talked about my WWE Network subscription expiring.

    ReplyDelete
  152. davidbonzaisaldanamontgomerySeptember 27, 2014 at 6:19 PM

HUGE bomb by Jose Abreu. Guy is unreal.

    ReplyDelete
  153. I just turned on my TV, and oh God what the fuck is Syracuse wearing?

    ReplyDelete
  154. You can renew, for only $9.99!

    ReplyDelete
  155. I cut the cord so except for Hulu, I don't see ads. This will be great next month with election season coming on.

    ReplyDelete
  156. I swear college football uniforms are getting stupider and stupider. It also started with Oregon.

    ReplyDelete
  157. I made sure today that mine doesn't autorenew in a week.

    ReplyDelete
  158. Baseball has been pretty bad about this for a long time.

    ReplyDelete
  159. Man, Elizabeth looked terrible at Clash of the Champions 32.

Whatever happened to Hogan working his way up to the number one contender's spot and wrestling Savage for the title at Caesar's Palace? Did WCW have a hard reboot after SuperBrawl?

    ReplyDelete
  160. davidbonzaisaldanamontgomerySeptember 27, 2014 at 6:23 PM

    IT'S THE D-DAMN DX!

    ReplyDelete
  161. I made sure of that a month ago. But WWE is sending me near daily reminders to renew...

    ReplyDelete
  162. Elizabeth's hotness is very over stated in general.

    ReplyDelete
  163. Is anybody watching the UFC show tonight?

    ReplyDelete
  164. Blonde is not her color. I wonder if she was on something at this point.

    ReplyDelete
  165. Unless the arena is empty, I would say yes.

    ReplyDelete
  166. North Korea borders Russia, who would retaliate and send the world back to the Stone Age.

So I would choose North Korea.

    ReplyDelete
  167. Damn, I'm kicking myself for not drafting Nelson Spruce.
