iMPACT Thread

Sure, it's late. Get to it.

  1. Can't believe Ric Flair made it to the show. Wonder why he brought the WWF Winged Eagle title though?

    ReplyDelete
  2. I liked that first match.

    ReplyDelete
  3. TNA. Really makes ya think, you know?

    ReplyDelete
  4. Melendez was solid technically... just needs a better finisher.

    ReplyDelete
  5. Not terrible, no. I promise I mean this in a non-jerk way, but I was curious what was going to happen if he got irish whipped.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Sorry I forgot about the thread tonight.

Watching the President as we are declaring an attack on ISIL

    ReplyDelete
  7. There's not much else he can use unless they get him a leg that can bend.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Why does he keep calling it that?

    ReplyDelete
  9. It's the real name.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Prioritising Obama over TNA would get you banned from some message boards.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Thanks for the save, Stranger

    ReplyDelete
  12. Thanks for letting me know - I didn't know this was happening.

    ReplyDelete
  13. This not a ground war sure sounds a lot like a ground war.

    ReplyDelete

I once had a neighbor who had the name Isil, wonder how she feels about the name now?

  15. Am I overly jaded or just down cycling bipolar that I could care less? Same old shit, different face sending people to die over bullshit

No "Deal With It," Stranger? You're losing your touch.

    ReplyDelete
  17. It's weird watching this while commenting on a wrestling blog.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Probably the same way girls named Katrina feel.

Well, the ones living on the Gulf Coast...

  19. "Yep Mode" ABeyAnce1©September 10, 2014 at 7:14 PM

What, the president speech or TNA?

    ReplyDelete
  20. Kitchen Nightmares?

    ReplyDelete
  21. Heh. I meant the President stuff, but yes to both.

    ReplyDelete
  22. ...adding....not to say it doesn't suck for the poor guys/gals being sent over there to die, but christ, nothing ever changes

    ReplyDelete
  23. Bobby Roode seems to have a stars & stripes themed shirt.

    Which is a bit odd.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Of course.

    War, war never changes.

    ReplyDelete
  25. KENTA debut idea: when they bring him out tomorrow with Flair to introduce him, Steen debuts as well, and lays KENTA the fuck out. Establish Steen as NXTs super heel and throw them both into a major feud right away.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Is Flair involved in NXT in some way? I haven't watched in a while.

    ReplyDelete
  27. No problem, sir.

    ReplyDelete
  28. "Yep Mode" ABeyAnce1©September 10, 2014 at 7:17 PM

Would have been funny if at the MMA show, when Lashley won his match, several TNA marks got up and started to chant, "He's legit! He's legit!"

    ReplyDelete
  29. "Yep Mode" ABeyAnce1©September 10, 2014 at 7:18 PM

    He will be introducing him.

    ReplyDelete
  30. I read somewhere that Flair was going to be there to introduce him but I think it's just a one off deal to put him over for people who don't know him.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I say debut them both as unlikely tag partners who IMMEDIETLY squash The Ascension. They carry the belts for a few months. Always an odd couple. Always a moment away from turning on each other. Eventually they lose the belts clean, but Steen lays KENTA out afterwards leading to a LONG singles feud between the two without a definitive ending before they are both called up to the main roster. Keep them semi apart for a long while before continuing the feud in the big leagues.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I've got the touch......I've got the poweerrrrrr!

    ReplyDelete
  33. "Yep Mode" ABeyAnce1©September 10, 2014 at 7:19 PM

    Lashley won an MMA fight?

    ReplyDelete
  34. I haven't really paid attention to the last five or six war declarations.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I bet they do something similar, but with Devitt instead of KENTA and they have a feud

    ReplyDelete
  36. Top 5 Hottest Current Women in Wrestling:

    1. Dixie Carter
    2. Charlotte
    3. Rebel
    4. Alexa Bliss
    5. Brittany

    ReplyDelete
  37. If you're gonna put Steen in a tag team, it has to be with Zayn.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Kenny King doing the quivering bottom lip faces while Roode does his heart and passion promo is great stuff.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I'm not even aware of the stuff you guys are talking about. I should feel ashamed for not knowing but I don't.

    ReplyDelete
  40. "Yep Mode" ABeyAnce1©September 10, 2014 at 7:21 PM

Liked his reaction when MVP punched Roode.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Ooofffff...can someone help me out. I've just been informed I have a choice of watching either Devil's Due or Transcendence. They both look god awful. I'll probably default vote for the horror movie because its shorter but it looks like a rip off of Paranormal Activity which is already played out (it was definitely cool in its time though).

Does anyone know if transcendence is as bad as it looks? Cuz wow it looks bad

    ReplyDelete
  42. Alexa Bliss
    AJ
    Naomi
    Cameron
    Steph

    ReplyDelete
  43. Where the fuck is Candace LeRay and Sara Del Rey?

    ReplyDelete
  44. I'm 34 and I've probably seen, I don't know, twenty or thirty of these "we're gonna go bomb 'em good" speeches, they seem less and less important really.

England had it right, if you want to secure resources in a foreign land you have to stay forever otherwise you're just going to keep going back every generation.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Both are pretty bad. Transcendence really disappointed me.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Dixie being on that list makes it invalid, no matter who else is on it.

    ReplyDelete
  47. It's been done. WWE will instead do the exact same bit, but with KENTA.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Here is your Shitbag of the Week winner

    ReplyDelete

I'd say watch Transcendence, at least Freeman can make it a little better.

  51. Virgil's Gimmick TableSeptember 10, 2014 at 7:23 PM

I wasn't aware you had a thing for lazy eyes.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Dixie over Tessmacher is grounds for a ban, IMO

    ReplyDelete
  53. I mean in your list. It needs those 2.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Eh. Both are hot, but not top 5.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Virgil's Gimmick TableSeptember 10, 2014 at 7:23 PM

    Or at least a paddlin'.

    ReplyDelete
  56. A lot of people assumed WWE postponed (or abandoned entirely) the Kofi-Woods-Big E stable because of Ferguson, Mo., but is there any chance they held off because they didn't want to be accused of copying TNA's MVP-Lashley-King stable? Does WWE even care like that about what people think about them and TNA?

    ReplyDelete
  57. I have no doubt someone is going to interrupt, but I had a feeling it would be some low guy on the totem pole and KENTA would smash him. I think they should use his debut to run a big angle. But yeah, Devitt works too.

    ReplyDelete
  58. OMG I forgot Tessmacher. Let me do a new list.

    1. Dixie Carter
    2. Miss Tessmacher
    3. Rebel
    4. Alexa Bliss
    5. Charlotte

    ReplyDelete
  59. They copy TNA from time to time

    ReplyDelete
  60. Your list is not valid because of Dixie.

    ReplyDelete
  61. You better believe that's a'paddlin'

    ReplyDelete
  62. Is Lashley good in MMA?

    ReplyDelete
  63. Should I watch: PWG Eleven or ROH All Star Extravaganza 6 first?

    ReplyDelete
  64. "Yep Mode" ABeyAnce1©September 10, 2014 at 7:25 PM

That is true, I still think that's how we got Hunico and Camacho.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Virgil's Gimmick TableSeptember 10, 2014 at 7:25 PM

That would make KENTA look weak. He could just cut an awesome promo, call him out and tag him with a cheap shot and then they get into a pull apart brawl. Instant feud.

    ReplyDelete
  66. It'd also work if they really want KENTA to be the face of the company in Japan because he never worked New Japan so him and Devitt is a brand new dream match.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Evening everyone, I'm happy.

    ReplyDelete
  68. 1.Brooke
    2.fandangos girl
    3.Tara
    4.Lana
    5.AJ

    ReplyDelete
  69. Steen is really good on the mic but i bet they have debut him after Devitt, who got to NXT first.

    ReplyDelete
  70. I wonder if Rhett Titus is still bitter about Kenny leaving him high and dry.

    ReplyDelete
  71. I'm watching Impact in an alternate reality tonight. Joe, KENTA, AJ, Steen, Generico, Moxley, The Wolves, Danielson are all tearing it up. And CM Punk just signed with them last week. It's awesome.

    ReplyDelete
  72. He's now a comedy fodder in ROH.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Oh Kenny. That pool was quite empty.

    ReplyDelete
  74. Question: Why is it KENTA and not Kenta?

    ReplyDelete
  75. You've seen both? Is transcendence worth the extra 30 minutes

    ReplyDelete
  76. "Yep Mode" ABeyAnce1©September 10, 2014 at 7:28 PM

    Sounds awesome.

    ReplyDelete
  77. I wonder if Flair is there scouting or just to watch for fun?

    ReplyDelete
  78. Nah. They both suck pretty harsh.

    ReplyDelete
  79. "Yep Mode" ABeyAnce1©September 10, 2014 at 7:29 PM

    What are you watching again?

    ReplyDelete
  80. Impact. Flair is sitting there in about the fourth row almost center.

    ReplyDelete
  81. He doesn't make him look weak at all. Wrestlers have been getting Pearl Harbor'd since the beginning of time.

    ReplyDelete
  82. Because he debuted in the same promotion as Kenta Kobashi (who trained him) and his full name is Kenta Kobayashi, so it made it easier to differentiate between the two.

    ReplyDelete
  83. Don't know why, it's just that it's always been written like that.

    ReplyDelete
  84. Blonde wig, title belt, sunglasses?

    ReplyDelete
  85. "Yep Mode" ABeyAnce1©September 10, 2014 at 7:30 PM

I was wondering about that guy as well.

    ReplyDelete
  86. That guy is about 30 years and 30,000 unpaid bar tabs short of Flair.

    ReplyDelete
  87. Heyman of course. He just cut an awesome promo with TNA champ Brock Lesnar.

    ReplyDelete
  88. "Yep Mode" ABeyAnce1©September 10, 2014 at 7:31 PM

No WWE guy should ever be seen at Impact, remember what happened to on of the Highlanders?

    ReplyDelete
  89. They've been hyping him for a few weeks as Kenta, so I don't think so. They'll decapitalise it though I think.

    ReplyDelete
  90. I wonder what his forehead looks like...

    ReplyDelete
  91. That was fairly impressive, even if Lashley "helped".

    ReplyDelete
  92. They're both horrible, dude. I would put on a pair of those fake glasses with the wide open eyes and go to sleep.

    ReplyDelete
  93. EY is a great worker. It's a real shame he wasted his prime years doing comedy stuff when they had literally dozens of stiffs who could have done it instead.

    ReplyDelete
  94. "Yep Mode" ABeyAnce1©September 10, 2014 at 7:33 PM

You're champion, getting out powered by the person who won't be facing him.

    ReplyDelete
  95. Velvet has shot up my list after that picture... hache mache!

    ReplyDelete
  96. "Yep Mode" ABeyAnce1©September 10, 2014 at 7:34 PM

Well, it's not like his comedy stuff was a complete waste.

    ReplyDelete
  97. So Takeover 2 is tomorrow which means I have to renew either tonight or tomorrow.

    ReplyDelete
  98. "Yep Mode" ABeyAnce1©September 10, 2014 at 7:36 PM

Why people still want tables I'll never know....

    ReplyDelete
  99. I know I'm generalizing, but I feel like many of the same people who say WWE needs legit competition from another promotion to get back to their glory days (those who pine for the days of WCW and/or ECW being around) are also those who seem to be taking glee in watching TNA fail. Shouldn't we as wrestling fans in general want TNA to succeed?

    ReplyDelete
  100. TNA has had legitimately splendid shows for the past couple of months while WWE has put out dog crap. The gap is shrinking.

    ReplyDelete
  101. They've had many chances to succeed. And managed to blow every one through their own shitty booking. The name, the company is not worth saving, even though some/most of the wrestlers are.

    ReplyDelete
  102. Yeah. Negative people are negative.

    ReplyDelete
  103. "Yep Mode" ABeyAnce1©September 10, 2014 at 7:38 PM

Yeah, the amount of crap TNA has put out recently pales in comparison to WWE.
All I've seen from TNA that was bad is the Shaw stuff.

    ReplyDelete
  104. Take your medicine.

    ReplyDelete
  105. I was a big fan anyway... those hot pics in the Yankee gear were great but that took it up another notch.

    ReplyDelete
  106. I think it's proof that sometimes less is more. TNA only has 2 hours of TV per week to do something stupid. WWE has 7 hours to mishandle.

    ReplyDelete
  107. "Yep Mode" ABeyAnce1©September 10, 2014 at 7:40 PM

    Agree with that.

    ReplyDelete
  108. Brittany with the highlights is a win.

    ReplyDelete
  109. Actually, he's "technically" right for once. Although shrinking the Grand Canyon by six inches still makes it the Grand Canyon.

    ReplyDelete
  110. "Uh, he's seeing some therapists for his problems?"

    ReplyDelete
  111. "Yep Mode" ABeyAnce1©September 10, 2014 at 7:41 PM

I'm calling this a Bro Mans burial.

    ReplyDelete
  112. "technically".

    ReplyDelete
  113. Wrong. Angelina's face is horrible.

    ReplyDelete
  114. You know, it might also show the benefit of taping weeks in advance. With all the tapings over 72 hours, you're looking into a month or so of content whereas Vince spazzes out hundreds of times a script, thousands of times a month

    ReplyDelete
  115. "Yep Mode" ABeyAnce1©September 10, 2014 at 7:42 PM

    Come on Gunner...

    ReplyDelete
  116. Are the guidos and Beautiful People babyfaces now?

    ReplyDelete
  117. Oh wow Rebellllllllllllllll

    ReplyDelete
  118. "Yep Mode" ABeyAnce1©September 10, 2014 at 7:42 PM

    So, Rebel is back?

    ReplyDelete
  119. Rebels rear is outta control

    ReplyDelete
  120. And why the fuck doesn't Devon get them ahead of time? Dude's going to hurt his back overextending after all the fisticuffs when he could have them lined up early.

    ReplyDelete
  121. This is a goofy tag match setup...

    ReplyDelete
  122. This is indyrific.

    ReplyDelete
  123. "Yep Mode" ABeyAnce1©September 10, 2014 at 7:44 PM

The Menagerie better get the money sometime soon, I like to see how they will advance that part of the story.

    ReplyDelete
  124. I think they've probably forgotten about that stuff by now.

    ReplyDelete
  125. I like Steve as the "jobber bitch" of the group.

    ReplyDelete
  126. They mentioned it last week.

    ReplyDelete
  127. "Yep Mode" ABeyAnce1©September 10, 2014 at 7:45 PM

We want Velvet? You guys don't want Rebel?

    ReplyDelete
  128. "Yep Mode" ABeyAnce1©September 10, 2014 at 7:45 PM

They just mentioned it a few minutes ago.

    ReplyDelete
  129. Speaking of/but not speaking of/but thinking of set ups and payoffs, with the Dusts going heel, did they ever do anything with the cosmic key or whatever they were babbling out? Was still hoping for DustyDust, but have drastically limited my WWE watching of late

    ReplyDelete
  130. I'll give Jesse credit. I thought he was DOA when he debuted.

    ReplyDelete
  131. "Yep Mode" ABeyAnce1©September 10, 2014 at 7:47 PM

    That was kind if creepy.

    ReplyDelete
  132. "Yep Mode" ABeyAnce1©September 10, 2014 at 7:47 PM

    No one likes her.

    ReplyDelete
  133. The crowd better appreciate that view at the end...

    ReplyDelete
  134. "Yep Mode" ABeyAnce1©September 10, 2014 at 7:48 PM

I don't know, the key is smoke and mirrors.

    ReplyDelete
  135. "Yep Mode" ABeyAnce1©September 10, 2014 at 7:48 PM

Where's Jef when you need him?

    ReplyDelete
  136. I read an article today about some guy buying a used Paige shirt, a painting of Paige, and another sign Paige shirt for a total of $13,000 through WWE Auctions. LOL what a creep.

    ReplyDelete
  137. Hey, a guy who might not be in the company much longer. Or should I say another one.

    ReplyDelete
  138. hey how come dj z doesnt get a girl??

    ReplyDelete
  139. They haven't signed Lacey Von Erich back? Madison's happy not being with TBP?

    ReplyDelete
  140. under her red booty shorts was a texas long horns logo, idk if it was a tat or another pair of panties.

    ReplyDelete
  141. Haven 't seen Devil's Due. Transcendence is pretty boring and hokey.

    ReplyDelete
  142. "Yep Mode" ABeyAnce1©September 10, 2014 at 7:54 PM

I heard Paul Heyman, but when I looked up, I saw Bully Ray.

    ReplyDelete
  143. Funny these guys are in way better shape in their 40s than they were in their 20s.

    ReplyDelete
  144. Angle going back to the WWE would make me so happy.

    ReplyDelete
  145. Virgil's Gimmick TableSeptember 10, 2014 at 7:54 PM

Yeah but in his debut it might not be such a good idea cause he looks like a punk from the get go. Maybe they do the pull apart brawl and KENTA gets the upper hand momentarily and then Steen lays him out.

    ReplyDelete
  146. I really beleive in the direction Impact is going right now. Sure. That's why you contacted Hunter and Vince.

    ReplyDelete
  147. He's making an announcement in 2 weeks. I bet he either re-signs with TNA, or signs with WWE, GFW, NJPW, ROH, or retires.

    ReplyDelete
  148. "Yep Mode" ABeyAnce1©September 10, 2014 at 7:55 PM

So while changing the channel, I saw Dirty Jobs was on.......on Animal Planet that is.

    ReplyDelete
  149. Is that you Meltzer?

    ReplyDelete
  150. He'll sign with CZW just to make you wrong.

    ReplyDelete
  151. "Yep Mode" ABeyAnce1©September 10, 2014 at 7:56 PM

You have to listen to EC3's theme on YouTube to hear the troubles better.

    ReplyDelete
  152. That's not Flair watching from the fourth row. That's Tommy Rich.

    ReplyDelete
  153. Well then I hope the building has fire extinguishers because there's going to be a WILDFIRE!

    ReplyDelete
  154. My first thought was Greg Valentine, except he didn't look that young in high school.

    ReplyDelete
  155. "Yep Mode" ABeyAnce1©September 10, 2014 at 7:58 PM

I don't know why, but I see that Flair in the forth row, and I think of Cool Trainer Bret's avatar in a wig.

    ReplyDelete
  156. He and Parallax both left in the past week. People are dropping like flies.

    ReplyDelete
  157. "Yep Mode" ABeyAnce1©September 10, 2014 at 7:59 PM

    Lot of spontaneous matches tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  158. Only half true.

    ReplyDelete
  159. "Yep Mode" ABeyAnce1©September 10, 2014 at 7:59 PM

I still hope Loser is ok.

    ReplyDelete
  160. They left?

    ReplyDelete
  161. "Yep Mode" ABeyAnce1©September 10, 2014 at 8:00 PM

One left, one is taking a break.

    ReplyDelete
  162. Parallax took a break. We all miss him. Bret left due to his controversial opinions and obsessive Fire Pro Wrestling simulations

    ReplyDelete
  163. Was one of them fake Farva in the Saturday evening thread or something?

    ReplyDelete
  164. "Yep Mode" ABeyAnce1©September 10, 2014 at 8:01 PM

The FPW part is something I wasn't aware of.

    ReplyDelete
  165. No. Didn't find that out. Was guessing Mr. Satan given he specifically attacked Brazilian.

    ReplyDelete
  166. "Yep Mode" ABeyAnce1©September 10, 2014 at 8:02 PM

Jury's still out on who was Farva, but that was Lax's last night.

    ReplyDelete
  167. Lax seemed lefit pissed off over it.

    ReplyDelete
  168. EC 3 is going to be a mega huge star.

    ReplyDelete
  169. "Yep Mode" ABeyAnce1©September 10, 2014 at 8:03 PM

He was attacking me too, if he was attacking both of us, it would make a lot of sense.

    ReplyDelete
  170. And before you two, he hated Farva.

    ReplyDelete
  171. "Yep Mode" ABeyAnce1©September 10, 2014 at 8:05 PM

We'll keep him in on the suspect list then.

    ReplyDelete
  172. "Yep Mode" ABeyAnce1©September 10, 2014 at 8:05 PM

He could have been one if WWE gave him room.

    ReplyDelete
  173. So either this starts the next Knockout title feud, or is an excuse for Havok to kill a bitch.

    Probably the latter.

    ReplyDelete
  174. I bet Taryn

    ReplyDelete
  175. ... that's a lot of potentially dead women in the ring. Havok...

    ReplyDelete
  176. I hope Havok gets the cover.

    ReplyDelete
  177. Well I was wrong.
