Quick and Dirty thought for you...ODB from TNA as a new, female ass-kicking Wyatt member?
I seriously doubt they would have interest in putting thirty something ODB through developmental for a year or more, and neither would she. They'd be better off recycling one of the cookie cutter girls in NXT already.
Also, when are they gonna bring up Alexa Bliss and team her with the Dust brothers as Pixie Dust?
Let's hope Vince doesn't try to get someone to play Fairy Dust.
ReplyDeleteI'd bring in Balls Mahoney for the role.
ReplyDeleteWay to trick me the title, and if there was any woman who could have been a Wyatt, it would have been Nadia.
ReplyDeleteNidia?
ReplyDeleteAlexa Bliss as Pixie Dust may have been a good idea had Goldust and Stardust stayed babyface.
ReplyDeleteI seriously have no clue what the point of that team even is anymore.
ReplyDeleteMaybe she could be the "Cosmic Key" (Is that still a thing?)
ReplyDeleteI have no idea regarding the question, but I will say that is some top notch font work.
ReplyDeleteHe no longer works for them, but I'm suddenly picturing a fairy version of Big Dick Johnson. And it's terrifying.
ReplyDeleteRemember how hot of a baby face Cody Rhodes was after the firing angle?
ReplyDeleteBring in Raven to play Angel Dust
ReplyDeleteI'll shoot with a theory: Cody was deprioritized. Accept it. However, he's still a great hand who could be a big asset in the future. In the modern wrestling landscape, the worst thing that can happen to you is being lost in the shuffle. When you're not going to devote the airtime to someone with a feud, the best thing you can do is give them something memorable to do while they do nothing. Thus, a gimmick. On the future Cody Rhodes doc, it's an interesting talking point. It at least beats "He was there in 2014, but he really wasn't. He lost the tag belts, and just kind of floundered directionlessly until the Uso's feud in September. By that point, fan interest had mostly evaporated." Instead, we had Cody on tv every week establishing this Stardust character, which then led to a feud, & kept him in the mix until the right feud was available.
ReplyDeleteI think it's kind of brilliant. I mean, who's won more matches in the last year: Curtis Axel or Heath Slater? Which of them had the Heyman association, the Cell match with Punk, and a lengthy IC title run.
People keep forgetting about "TNA Stink".
ReplyDeleteI'd use Bayley for a role like that. The gullible, too sweet, so kawaii naive girl that gets brainwashed by the cult.
ReplyDeleteWhen will people realize that WWE has no interest anymore in bringing in 35+ year old wrestlers, especially if they have, as Vince Jordan puts it "TNA stink"?
ReplyDeleteIf she ever drew a dime they might have considered it, but why would they when there are dozens of younger wrestlers in NXT already under contract and in the system?
They won't bring in ODB because I don't think her husband Eric Young would like her going there.
ReplyDeleteJust imagine how much fried chicken they can buy with them fancy New York City paychecks!
ReplyDeleteTo copy wwe, theyd have the two of them star in a new show called Complete Knockouts.
ReplyDeleteWhy would they need to put ODB through developmental? She knows how to wrestle better than most of the WWE Divas on the roster.
ReplyDeleteThat said, I'd rather see Bayley get recruited by the Wyatts.
Zayn has been in nxt for almost two years. Some fat TNA knock out isn't getting on raw
ReplyDeleteODB isn't fat. She's thick.
ReplyDeleteWe're getting dangerously close to turning the Wyatts into the Hollys.
ReplyDeleteI read a kevin nash interview yesterday about HHHs vision for the performance center. He said triple h told him he wanted to make his own stars from scratch. He doesn't want wrestlers from other promotions with "bad habits". I wonder if by bad habits he means attitude problems or drug problems, or if he means really good wrestlers that wrestle different styles and would be interesting to watch
ReplyDeleteThat's perfect; it also makes the Wyatts huge heels again for manipulating her.
ReplyDeleteAmish Roadkill or Blue Meanie would be funny too.
ReplyDeleteNow envisioning Erick Rowan singing "Carrie Ann"
ReplyDeleteI don't trust the writers to invest the time in getting people invested in her before the brainwashing
ReplyDeleteThey can give Natalya her farting gimmick back and call her Crop Dust.
ReplyDeleteThe WWE has no idea who Eric Young is. Or ODB for that matter.
ReplyDeleteThey should put Cody's wife on screen as GorgeousDust. She is a stunner.
ReplyDeleteThey won't get a Molly, though.
ReplyDeleteThe Wyatts should never get a new member. This isn't the nWo.
ReplyDeleteHe means dudes who don't work out enough... ie Chris Hero.
ReplyDeleteThat would be an improvement, Wyatts are just about dead now anyway
ReplyDeleteNo, Nadia. From the soap opera theme. Because the Wyatts are young and restless, you see.
ReplyDeleteWyatt Family and the opposing faction, The In-Laws
ReplyDeleteAs long as her finishers are the Shartshooter and Shart Attack
ReplyDeleteBook it Vince!
ReplyDeleteI think it's in relation to in-ring habits, specifically geared toward working matches for broadcast. I heard something about that before in relation to this where a lot of indy guys are good wrestlers for live shows, but they don't know how to wrestle so the match looks good on TV.
ReplyDeleteThey're supposed to be some kind of a cult. Should they not get new members?
ReplyDeleteAustin said on his podcast with Christopher Daniels that he never worked a match geared towards it looking good on television. Business seemed pretty good when he was around. This is just another bullshit excuse to homogenize the talent and make them succumb to the almighty brand.
ReplyDeleteI agree that the Wyatt Family shouldn't get too big. But they should add a new member occasionally, and drop a member occasionally for showing any sign of dissent against Bray. And they at least need to be shown more trying to recruit and convert other people. They'd be more believable as a cult-like group.
ReplyDeleteDude. They recently signed Kevin "10 situps a day wouldn't kill me" Steen.
ReplyDeleteODB would've worked in the attitude era. Some drunken bitch groping herself? Biggest face on the roster.
ReplyDeleteNow? Several years of TNA stink may (emphasis on MAY) have made her unhireable to WWE. I'd like to see her again, but who knows.
To be fair, ODB already spent a lifetime in WWE developmental and they cut her because, I assume, they saw nothing in her.
ReplyDeleteThe thing about "really good wrestlers that wrestle different styles" is that the matches they have with Randy Orton, Roman Reigns and John Cena are gonna suck specifically because of those different styles.
ReplyDeleteAnd whose fault is that?
ReplyDeleteSo we can hid her huge rack in a jumpsuit? Pass.
ReplyDeleteSo, John Cena joins the Wyatts, he double crosses them and then beats them in a 3-1 handicap match, with his hands tied behind his back. Oh, hour 1 of RAW of course.
ReplyDeleteI think that unless they've got something pretty impressive in the works, then the stable is basically dead and just doesn't know it yet.
ReplyDeleteThey're a bunch of chumps.
How are we supposed to take them seriously if they don't take on any new members? The nWo was different - you just put the shirt on and you were a member. With the Wyatts, it's more of a Flock-type crew which I think we all agree was awesome
ReplyDelete"Austin said on his podcast with Christopher Daniels that he never worked
ReplyDeletea match geared towards it looking good on television. Business seemed
pretty good when he was around."
What business? Daniels is an awesome talent, but let's not pretend the guy has sold out 10,000 seat arenas.
Daniels might feel otherwise personally, but almost any worker will tell you there is a huge difference between working a match at a 100 person indie show filled with mostly smarks, working a match at a 50,000 seat arena, and on TV show watched by millions.
Denying that is like saying there's no difference in the way a band plays at Ed's Clam Shack, Madison Square Garden, and a football stadium.
I'm not sure exactly what Hunter means, but there are plenty of bad in-ring habits that guys can pick up on the indie circuit... especially in terms of physicality of matches.
ReplyDeleteGuys who kill themselves during weekly indie shows wouldn't last doing the same style on WWE's schedule (I think Bryan's moveset is a good example of that). There are also a lot of playing to the crowd things that indie guys can do in front of a smark crowd of 200 indie fans that just doesn't work in an arena full of WWE fans.
I always heard they didn't like her look.
ReplyDeleteThe Shield did okay for themselves without adding any members. I guess it's all about how you book 'em. The best thing that ever happened to The Shield was the teased breakup in the winter only to turn into mega faces.
ReplyDeleteThe best way to keep him hot was to obviously lose to the New Age Outlaws.
ReplyDeleteTake it to the forum
ReplyDeleteYeah but the Shield weren't all about brainwashing others and spreading their message - they were about beating people up in the name of justice or whatever. The Wyatts are supposedly a cult with an important message yet they haven't shown us they can deliver it yet
