BoD Saturday Night Thread

Lots of sports on tonight and I am sure other stuff too so talk about it here.

Comments

  1. Way to be lazy Bayless.

    ReplyDelete
  2. Alabama firmly entered 'not fucking around' territory this afternoon, by the looks of it.

    ReplyDelete
  3. What do Americans call that shit that forms around your eyes while you sleep?

    ReplyDelete
  4. "shit that forms around your eyes while you sleep" is the official term.

    ReplyDelete
  5. We call it 'sleep'... but I woulda called it a chazwozza.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Baylor seems to have entered its yearly "time to collapse" part of the schedule.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Hercules is a guy who could really bring it. Shane he didn't get a tag title run with Paul Roma. Just a matter of time until he is added to the WWE HOF.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Watching Superbrawl 3 and this is a hell of a show. Quite surprising since most of 1993 WCW Is terrible.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Hercules. The guy was top notch. One of my favorite LJN figures.

    ReplyDelete
  10. WWE and NJPW announce a joint PPV. What would be your card? Also, this is happening tomorrow, so only active guys apply.

    ReplyDelete
  11. This Flair vs Arn feud during the early Nitros is a load of fun.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Watching WCW ppvs from 1997.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Dolph Ziggler vs. a Japanese fellow

    ReplyDelete
  14. Worth the $9.99 right there.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Superstars vs Wrestlers.

    Oh, and LOLCENAWINS.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Such a gaijin.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Waitaminute... how about Cesaro vs. anybody Japanese?

    I'm on fire.

    ReplyDelete
  18. JUST TAKE MY $9.99!!!

    ReplyDelete
  19. BUUUURNIIING ATTIIITUUUUDE-AAAAH ADJUSTMAAAANTOOOO!!

    ReplyDelete
  20. Just read that Blue Beetle and Booster Gold have been spotted on Batman v Superman's set.

    Great.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Don't worry, the Japanese will be allowed to beat mercilessly on the likes of Dolph Ziggler, Mark Henry, Sheamus, Miz, and if they want they can even have Zack Ryder in a handicap match.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Thread could be dead tonight. Most people probably busy making love. Tis the season.

    ReplyDelete
  23. davidbonzaisaldanamontgomeryOctober 18, 2014 at 5:12 PM

    Cram ALL the characters!

    ReplyDelete
  24. That sentence in the middle is questionable.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Miz would be crazy over in Japan.

    ReplyDelete
  26. TIS THE SEASON TO BE JORRY, FA RA RA RA.

    ReplyDelete
  27. davidbonzaisaldanamontgomeryOctober 18, 2014 at 5:13 PM

    Working Saturday, nearly off

    ReplyDelete
  28. I don't think there's a very high correlation between BoD posters and Players.

    ReplyDelete
  29. davidbonzaisaldanamontgomeryOctober 18, 2014 at 5:15 PM

This is like those John Cena statement wins where he squashes a hot act to regain post-loss momentum

    ReplyDelete
  30. Seeing Miz consistently dropped on his head would make me a fan. Of the guy doing it, that is.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Cena vs. Tanahashi
    Okada vs. Brock
    Nakamura vs Ambrose
    Rollins vs Naito
    Cesaro vs Shibata
    Sheamus vs Goto
    Usos vs. Suzuki & Shelton

    Good show.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Same here, 45 minutes to getting the hell out.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Money maker.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Except TAMU isn't exactly "hot" right now. That win over South Carolina must feel like it was ages ago by now.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Cena vs everybody in NJPW in a gauntlet match with Cena going over......

    ReplyDelete
  36. DC just doesn't get IT at all.

    ReplyDelete
  37. For making out ghouls, goblins and demons?

    ReplyDelete
  38. They need to add these:

    Supergirl
    Batgirl
    Robins 1-4
    Powergirl
    Fire
    Ice
    Martian Manhunter
Captain Marvel (or Shazam, whatever they're calling him nowadays)
    Captain Marvel Jr
    Mary Marvel
    Stargirl
    STRIPE
    Sandman
    Green Arrow
    Speedy/Arsenal
    Aquaboy
    Kid Flash

    ReplyDelete
  39. Was considering going in today but slept instead.

    ReplyDelete
  40. davidbonzaisaldanamontgomeryOctober 18, 2014 at 5:21 PM

I was sick on Wed and I'm not rich enough to blow off the $100 I make a shift, so I was making it up today

    ReplyDelete
  41. How long is this movie gonna be with all these characters?

    ReplyDelete
  42. Watching Ole Miss v Tennessee in preparation for Notre Dame v FSU. After that, it's either old PPVs or video games. Shadow of Mordor and The Evil Within aren't going to at themselves.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Just saw this, and it's glorious. Randy Orton is winning the world this week.

    ReplyDelete
  44. davidbonzaisaldanamontgomeryOctober 18, 2014 at 5:26 PM

I got a night of NCAA 14 attribute editing, and some Injustice as well

    ReplyDelete
  45. I love the nerd in the comment section yelling about it being a Diamond Cutter. Also, who would have thought RKOing someone becoming the new Tebowing?

    ReplyDelete
  46. Hopefully like 5 hours to complete the fail.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Looks like Bram is gone from TNA. Tick, tick, tick...

    ReplyDelete
  48. Was a movie reporter bullshitting

    ReplyDelete
  49. As a life long Habs fan, Milan Lucic is the best heel in current sports.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Gosh, this is tough. Honestly, the New Japan guys would have better and more compelling matches with the folks in NXT.

    ReplyDelete
  51. It was joke that was tweeted and dumb ass sites ran as legit.

    ReplyDelete
  52. He's not gone. He's accepting bookings because TNA is allowing their talent to work the indies from now until January.

    ReplyDelete
  53. NXT isn't that deep.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Sabu vs Mr. JL. In a lot of ways, WCW in '95 was really interesting.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Not the sign of a healthy company.

    ReplyDelete
  56. You guys are sure going to be eating your words...

    ReplyDelete
  57. Even if they find a TV deal, they are going to be a much smaller company than they ever were before. It's over dude.

    ReplyDelete
  58. How is it over? They will be on TV and still putting out quality wrestling. You guys are really getting delusional.

    ReplyDelete
  59. I will cling to the hope this is real.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Dude that said it already said he was fucking around. One of the Latino Review guys

    ReplyDelete
  61. Charismatic eNegro Jef VinsonOctober 18, 2014 at 5:41 PM

    GGG TONIGHT!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  62. Yeah, I'm the delusional one.

    ReplyDelete
  63. IT'S STILL REAL TO ME DAMMIT!

    ReplyDelete
  64. Stranger in the AlpsOctober 18, 2014 at 5:41 PM

    *snicker*

    *chuckle*

    Ha!

    Ha ha!

    BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAA!

    ReplyDelete
  65. Your entire last post contradicted itself.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Your cat doesn't look evil enough for Joffery.

    ReplyDelete
  67. You're right. There is going to be no consequences from moving to a smaller network.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Tonight's Classic SNL is Walken/Aguilera. The cowbell episode.

    ReplyDelete
  69. Who says they are moving to a smaller network? Even if they are and the quality of wrestling stays the same, why should I care?

    ReplyDelete
  70. I don't care either way if they stay or go. Lately Impact has been kinda bad. And this years BFG was the worst idea ever.

    ReplyDelete
  71. TNA used to be awful about working with other indies

    ReplyDelete
  72. So looking forward to that.

Gonna treat myself horribly by delaying dinner, and then getting like 40 nuggets so I'll regret my life tomorrow.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Stranger in the AlpsOctober 18, 2014 at 5:45 PM

T-minus 2 days until I attempt to bust out a daily news update. I was scoping the news sites this morning, trying to get an idea of what to look for. Did you know that a subscription to the Observer cost $10.99?

I guess I'm coming up with fake headlines.

    ReplyDelete
  74. It's kind of crazy that NBC isn't trying on Saturday nights anymore.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Truly a main event in any rec center/armory in the northeast.

    ReplyDelete
  76. Change your screen name to Davey Boy Mootzer.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Because smaller network means smaller viewership, smaller viewership means smaller money, smaller money means smaller roster.

    ReplyDelete
  78. BFG was decent in the ring. Impact lately has been stellar since Slammiversary in June.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Because you're the one watching it.

    ReplyDelete
  80. They clearly didn't get the $9.99 memo

    ReplyDelete
  81. Quality of wrestling is all I care about. I don't work for TNA. It isn't my money. Why do I care?

    ReplyDelete
  82. Impact hasn't been stellar since June. Don't be a fanboy.

    ReplyDelete
  83. Um... then he has no reason to post.

    ReplyDelete
  84. Time to close up, and GTFO of here.

    ReplyDelete
  85. Sorry but Lashley's title defenses have all been good. The tag series was great with a ****1/2 Full Metal Mayhem match. The X-Division matches have been good. Not being a fanboy at all, just being a realist.

    ReplyDelete
  86. No network tries on Sat night anymore. Not since 2003?

    ReplyDelete
  87. Stranger in the AlpsOctober 18, 2014 at 5:49 PM

This episode of Batman the TV series sees The Joker attempting to cheat his way to the Gotham City surfing championship.

    ReplyDelete
  88. You agree with the notoriously unreliable Dave Meltzer?

    ReplyDelete
  89. Just get Bayless' for while he is gone.

    ReplyDelete
  90. No, that was the rating I gave it in the live thread last week.

    ReplyDelete
  91. That series is still better than most of the movies.

    ReplyDelete
  92. I'm a bigger TNA fan than you are. A real TNA fan would be mad about what's happening. Would be mad at Dixie, Eric, Hulk, and Russo for destroying the company. You're a battered house wife that refuses to go to the cops.

    ReplyDelete
  93. I realize that, but it would provide better top matches. Example - I'd rather see Okada go up against Sami Zayn than John Cena.

    ReplyDelete
  94. It's their version of Mania and they couldn't even feature their champion.

    ReplyDelete
  95. Great Lakes CHRISTMAS ALE was on tap at the bar I went to yesterday.

    ReplyDelete
  96. Chris Rock and Prince tonight. I'll probaby watch. Because Prince.

    ReplyDelete
  97. Chris Rock and Price is in two weeks

    ReplyDelete
  98. Stranger in the AlpsOctober 18, 2014 at 6:02 PM

Now the 70's Wonder Woman series is on. Followed by Star Trek TOS, then the 1941 classic The Wolf Man. This channel is awesome. All found on my local channels via antenna.

    Thanks, getridofcable.net!

    ReplyDelete
  99. Dammit! Someone lied to me.

    ReplyDelete
  100. I don't hold grudges. Hogan, Bischoff, and Russo were all horrible for TNA. Everyone knows that. Hogan did get them some media attention and some decent signings however. Russo drew some decent ratings even with his crappy booking. I'm not going to piss and moan about something that happened 2-4 years ago. The company was bad earlier this year, but recently I have been impressed with it.

    ReplyDelete
  101. The Love-Matic Grampa!October 18, 2014 at 6:10 PM

King Tut was the best Bat-Villain that never made the big-time. Victor Buono nailed it.

    ReplyDelete
  102. The Love-Matic Grampa!October 18, 2014 at 6:12 PM

Bill Hader drew the lowest SNL rating ever last week. I thought that it was WAY too soon for him to be hosting since he just left last season, and honestly this latest cast looks really weak.

    ReplyDelete
  103. The Love-Matic Grampa!October 18, 2014 at 6:13 PM

Ah, so you've got MeTV now.

    ReplyDelete
  104. What channel or whatever are you watching?

    ReplyDelete
  105. Is there a more bullshit rating from Scott than giving Hogan/Warrior only 3 and half stars?

    ReplyDelete
  106. Extant1979 Most Must-See BoDerOctober 18, 2014 at 6:19 PM

    What. The fuck?

Booster is rumored to be part of the Flash cast sometime soon.

How many fucking people can they force into this damned movie?

    ReplyDelete
  107. Extant1979 Most Must-See BoDerOctober 18, 2014 at 6:20 PM

What about the report that Jenna Malone is playing Carrie Kelly/Robin?

    ReplyDelete
  108. Maybe the rating today from the Starrcade triangle match.

    ReplyDelete
  109. I've never watched Star Trek. I kind of want to but have no idea where to start.

    ReplyDelete
  110. Start earning extra income with online work from home... Make extra $3000 every month by working for a few hours a day. You'll need an internet connection and USA,CANADA,UK,AUSTRALIA or NEW ZEALAND residency and you are ready to start... You'll get paid weekly [wqcpm8]...

    ReplyDelete
  111. Extant1979 Most Must-See BoDerOctober 18, 2014 at 6:23 PM

I took care of that earlier today.

    ReplyDelete
  112. No way it was that high... Hogan couldn't even light the damn fireball.

    ReplyDelete
  113. Still a better poster than Abeyance.

    ReplyDelete
  114. Start with Next Generation. TOS is so dated it is going to be hard to get into. TNG early seasons are tough at times but you need TNG to set up the rest of the universe.

    ReplyDelete
  115. The flash paper is preventing me from seeing what you did there.

    ReplyDelete
  116. The early seasons get a lot of unfair flak. I'd take season 2 over anything from season 7 and most of season 6.

    ReplyDelete
  117. 6 is atrocious.

The early seasons are ok with good stories, but there were still a lot of kinks to work out... I am sure the writers strike didn't help,

    ReplyDelete
  118. Hogan is not known for being a handyman.

    ReplyDelete
  119. Penguins with a 5 on 3 advantage is so so so unfair.

    ReplyDelete
  120. Sexier... smarter...

    ReplyDelete
  121. That one looks true but not "confirmed". Malone tweeting herself post-dying hair red adds a bit of credibility to it

    ReplyDelete
  122. His initial **** to Michaels and HHH at Summerslam 02. I think he's since gone back and changed that.

    ReplyDelete
  123. I would have said all of 6 if it wasn't for the chain of command episodes and the Picard does Die Hard one.

    ReplyDelete
  124. I don't think that's as bad as giving Hogan/Warrior only 3 and half.

    ReplyDelete
  125. I'll start with S1 of the Next Generation then.

    ReplyDelete
  126. Mitch, The GodfatherOctober 18, 2014 at 6:32 PM

    I think you'll survive.

    ReplyDelete
  127. Malkin with back to back goals. Kyle Warne can suuuuuuuuuck it.

    ReplyDelete
  128. Chain of Command is among my favorites Jellico was a BOSS and "THERE ARE FOUR LIGHTS" is an amazing line... Stewart was in his full Shakespearean glory in those episodes.

    ReplyDelete
  129. Hopefully he shut up while doing it.

    ReplyDelete
  130. Stranger in the AlpsOctober 18, 2014 at 6:35 PM

MeTV is the name of the network. It's a digital sub-channel of the local NBC affiliate.

    ReplyDelete
  131. For whatever reason, I watched DX vs. Rated RKO at New Year's Revolution. I loved it, and even with the clusterfucky end Shawn saved it by knocking out the referee for no good reason and going apeshit. And once again, Triple H worked through what anyone else would be writhing around miserably with.

    ReplyDelete
  132. He is a tough bastard, worked through 2 torn quads, a crushed throat, and who knows what else...

    ReplyDelete
  133. Is $8 for story arc comic books a good price? The used game store had a bunch.

    ReplyDelete
  134. I just watched that show two weeks ago and thought it an okay show. Blood helped that match too.

    ReplyDelete
  135. Stranger in the AlpsOctober 18, 2014 at 6:41 PM

    @parallax1978 - http://www.metvnetwork.com/wheretowatch/affiliate/570

    ReplyDelete
  136. Ugh. Geno's second goal brought me within a point of Warne but now they've changed it to an assist and I'm down 13 points right now.

    ReplyDelete
  137. Damn you even searched my location. There are two groups... Gods and Men... you are one of the first among surrounded by the second.

    ReplyDelete
  138. Extant1979 Most Must-See BoDerOctober 18, 2014 at 6:42 PM

Depends on the bundle, the story, etc.

    ReplyDelete
  139. Stranger in the AlpsOctober 18, 2014 at 6:43 PM

I have another network called Cozi TV that carries The Six Million Dollar Man AND The Bionic Woman.

    ReplyDelete
  140. Gentlemen we can rebuild him. We have the technology...

    ReplyDelete
  141. love MeTV. Was just watching Batman on there earlier.

    ReplyDelete
  142. Extant1979 Most Must-See BoDerOctober 18, 2014 at 6:45 PM

Overall though, considering single issues run about $3-5 these days, and collections are about $20, $8 isn't that bad.

    ReplyDelete
  143. Stranger in the AlpsOctober 18, 2014 at 6:46 PM

For a nostalgia/retro geek such as myself, it's better than TV Land.....which is only available on that damn cable.

    ReplyDelete
  144. I'd say Caps with 5 on 3 is much more unfair.

    ReplyDelete
  145. I'm 27 and a lot of these shows I've only been able to experience through TV Land or other syndication. It's great that they are all together on one network now.

    ReplyDelete
  146. Maybe I'm being dumb... how do you watch it?

    ReplyDelete
  147. Yup.

Season 6 was solid, not sure why people didn't like it. I could take a look at the episode list, but I'm pretty sure it's solid at worse.

    ReplyDelete
  148. Stranger in the AlpsOctober 18, 2014 at 6:48 PM

Over the air/antenna. The positioning of the antenna needs to catch it just right. Once I get it, I leave it there. There are 3 or 4 towers within 20 miles of my address.

    ReplyDelete
  149. "Yep Mode" ABeyAnce1©October 18, 2014 at 6:48 PM

So uh, what crazy thing caused the Starcade rant to get 200+ comments.

    ReplyDelete
  150. Stranger in the AlpsOctober 18, 2014 at 6:48 PM

No daytime thread, I would assume.

    ReplyDelete
  151. There were some Marvel ones that I was going to pick up. I'm really trying to get into comic books so these arcs are perfect.

    ReplyDelete
  152. "Yep Mode" ABeyAnce1©October 18, 2014 at 6:49 PM

    That would make sense.

    ReplyDelete
  153. Wrestling discussion.

    ReplyDelete
  154. Extant1979 Most Must-See BoDerOctober 18, 2014 at 6:49 PM

Seriously, why don't you just READ the threads instead of asking if you should?

    ReplyDelete
  155. I would say if it wasn't QUITE so cheesy and less dancing, it would legit be good.

As it is, it's not quite good, but definitely entertaining.

    ReplyDelete
  156. Stranger in the AlpsOctober 18, 2014 at 6:49 PM

*GASP* I found mine at Walmart for about $20. It's a GE model.

Just to get a preview, by the way, how did your TV debut go?

    ReplyDelete
  159. So you're either living in a dystopian future or in the 1920s.

    ReplyDelete
  160. Abe, I'm back in Atlantica.

    ReplyDelete
  161. "Yep Mode" ABeyAnce1©October 18, 2014 at 6:50 PM

    ReplyDelete
  162. Extant1979 Most Must-See BoDerOctober 18, 2014 at 6:50 PM

    Marvel. Pffft.

    ReplyDelete
  163. No good mid-carders to balance things out. Lots of the existing cast are fine as lead, but none are that great at straight man and supporting characters.

And none of the new people are able to support very well right now.

    ReplyDelete
  164. I don't shop at Wal-Mart. I should get one just so I could write a review... I was supposed to be given for free for that purpose but it didn't happen.

    ReplyDelete
  165. Only played the dancing one so far.

    ReplyDelete
  166. Pfft... white privilege.

    ReplyDelete

    Have fun with that world.

    ReplyDelete
  169. I was digging for the Batman new 52 ones but didn't see any

    ReplyDelete
  170. Holy hell is this Loch Ness wrestler a massive fat ass.

    ReplyDelete
  171. Stranger in the AlpsOctober 18, 2014 at 6:52 PM

My TV is digital-ready, so I didn't need a converter box. I'm sure other places like Radio Shack, Best Buy, etc would carry them.

    ReplyDelete
  172. Well check that shit!

    ReplyDelete
  173. I helped save Piglet earlier, too.

    ReplyDelete
  174. Stranger in the AlpsOctober 18, 2014 at 6:53 PM

He's also a massive rotting corpse right now.

    ReplyDelete
  175. NBC is so far behind that they probably should go for easy territory to test things.

    ReplyDelete
  176. "Yep Mode" ABeyAnce1©October 18, 2014 at 6:53 PM

That really should be on a T-shirt.

At least Pooh isn't as depressing in this game.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  179. Changed over to a zombie gimmick, eh?

    ReplyDelete
  180. Extant1979 Most Must-See BoDerOctober 18, 2014 at 6:55 PM

Amazon has the collections of the new 52 books at pretty good prices.

    ReplyDelete
  181. I was going to joke more but I looked him up and he died of cancer :(

    ReplyDelete
  182. Seriously, Abeyance's racism in these threads is getting too much. The N words, the W words... horrible.

    ReplyDelete
  183. "Yep Mode" ABeyAnce1©October 18, 2014 at 6:56 PM

Well no, that whole segment showed that he lost some of his past.
