  1. This is better than any WWE 2014 promo.

  2. TNA Impact? Or Southern States Power Half-Hour? I'm confused.

    ReplyDelete
  3. From the desk of Davey Boy Mootzer:

    - Dixie Carter recently told some people to expect a major announcement soon, believed to be a new TNA TV deal but that may not be the case. There were claims of negotiating with a talent who would "shock people" and a new signing that would help bring buzz to TNA but nobody knows who those talents may be. We know it's not CM Punk and Mick Foley.

  4. Gunther the Nasty LoserOctober 15, 2014 at 5:51 PM

    THE SHOCKMASTER

    ReplyDelete
  5. Gunther the Nasty LoserOctober 15, 2014 at 5:52 PM

But Meltzer doesn't know what he's talking about, remember?

    ReplyDelete
  6. Gunther the Nasty LoserOctober 15, 2014 at 5:53 PM

And Mick Foley wouldn't mean anything

    ReplyDelete
  7. Hence the Davey Boy Mootzer. I'll believe it when I see it.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Gunther the Nasty LoserOctober 15, 2014 at 5:53 PM

Oh, I thought you were posting it as pro-TNA

    ReplyDelete
  9. It's channel ocho! They'll put Abyss in a bumblebee suit.

"Ay ay ay, un enorme problema con la placa con clavos en!"

    ReplyDelete
  10. Gunther the Nasty LoserOctober 15, 2014 at 5:54 PM

Only if they replace Teny and Taz with the Dodgeball guys

    ReplyDelete
  11. No lol. I don't believe anything Meltzer says relating to TNA. He's accurate with WWE but awful with TNA.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Poor soul... he was just too high strung.

    ReplyDelete
  13. If they sign anyone, it'd probably be A.J. Styles returning, because that's how delusional they are, to think it'd move the needle.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Finally current on Arrow...watching with commercial breaks is going to be excruciating

    ReplyDelete
  15. Extant1979 - Ghetto SuperstarOctober 15, 2014 at 6:08 PM

I'm only halfway through rewatching S2. Should be ready to go for the third episode.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Davey Boy Mootzer?

    ReplyDelete
  17. Why do you call him Davey Boy Mootzer?

    ReplyDelete
  18. OK I killed that chainsaw Hulk dude after using all my good arrows, time to go back to sneaking around in The Evil Within.

    ReplyDelete
  19. No idea. Just made it up one day.

    ReplyDelete
  20. But it's not funny and isn't really any sort of insult toward Meltzer.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Stop being such a wnyxmcneal boy mootzer.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Extant1979 - Ghetto SuperstarOctober 15, 2014 at 6:17 PM

So, DC Comics set a slate of movies through 2020. Aquaman and Cyborg both get movies, as do the Suicide Squad.

Gonna be good or gonna suck? YOU DECIDE!

Hey now! He's the Real Deal!

Case precedence states that they will suck.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Extant1979 - Ghetto SuperstarOctober 15, 2014 at 6:21 PM

I really don't think Man of Steel was THAT bad...

    ReplyDelete
  26. It was a 7/10 film.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Stranger in the AlpsOctober 15, 2014 at 6:22 PM

Green Lantern stunk. Man of Steel was meh at best. The Nolan Batman movies exist in a world all their own and were the exception.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Meltzer gave last week's triple threat tag match a ****1/2

    ReplyDelete
  29. We'll see in Six Years! Just so long as Batman is good I'm happy. DC really has a lot of catching up to do with Marvel in the Movies department. I'm actually more excited for the Netflix Daredevil series than anything DC listed today...probably because that's like 6 months away while some of these movies are several years away.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Extant1979 - Ghetto SuperstarOctober 15, 2014 at 6:23 PM

Oh, Green Lantern was a hot mess, but they seem to have moved on from that. The new slate of movies includes a rebooted GL, too. Maybe this time they'll do it right.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Extant1979 - Ghetto SuperstarOctober 15, 2014 at 6:24 PM

Damn it, I said YOU DECIDE, not let it play out and see where it goes.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I liked it. Granted, I dislike Superman and thus any liberties they may have taken with his mythos or character probably didn't bother me as much as fans of Superman.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Stranger in the AlpsOctober 15, 2014 at 6:24 PM

You know, people forget that the Fantastic Four movies and the Ghost Rider movies were pretty bad. The only thing Marvel has done right is the Avengers.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Step 1: Bring a new GL, John Stewart.

    ReplyDelete
  35. GONNA SUCK DAMMIT.

    ReplyDelete
  36. FF and Ghost Rider were Fox's productions.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Having watched Captain America Winter Soldier last night, I can tell you with 100% confidence that they've gotten more than just The Avengers right.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I gotta rewatch that match because I didn't get that impression of it at all. Yet again, he gave the MITB main event ****, and was *** at best.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Stranger in the AlpsOctober 15, 2014 at 6:25 PM

I meant The Avengers as well as their side stories.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Extant1979 - Ghetto SuperstarOctober 15, 2014 at 6:26 PM

Cap is part of the Avengers

    ReplyDelete
  41. Just started Arrow. I don't think I'm going to watch TNA although since they only have like five shows left I feel like I should.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Maybe he only thought it was *** but he said it was higher because he just can't help lying about TNA.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Oh I thought you meant just The Avengers movie itself.

    ReplyDelete
  44. "Yep Mode" ABeyAnce1©October 15, 2014 at 6:26 PM

Well, here's a highlight vid of BFG, judge the show yourself, didn't look that bad, but wasn't great either.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Stranger in the AlpsOctober 15, 2014 at 6:27 PM

Yeah, my point was they were Marvel pictures, but I'm sure the studio has a hand in the success.

    ReplyDelete
  46. I saw the TNA triple threat tag and thought it was easily ****

    ReplyDelete
  47. So, Captain America 3 is gonna be a Civil War adaptation?

    ReplyDelete
  48. I think he overrated that match. It's the same rating he gave to the TLC matches.

    ReplyDelete
  49. "Yep Mode" ABeyAnce1©October 15, 2014 at 6:27 PM

Wouldn't let me paste for some reason.
    Highlights of BFG.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Cap is the HEART of The Avengers! I get what he means now. I misunderstood and thought he was just referencing the Avengers movie.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Stranger in the AlpsOctober 15, 2014 at 6:28 PM

    AH'M GUNNA BAN YER ASSSSS!!!

    ReplyDelete
  52. I'm shocked...shocked...that the Royals are in the World Series.

    ReplyDelete
  53. God dammit. I wish the Cards had started Bourjos. SF has a really tough outfield, so his defense would be huge.

    ReplyDelete
  54. So he's going back in time?

    ReplyDelete
  55. Extant1979 - Ghetto SuperstarOctober 15, 2014 at 6:28 PM

Cap is the only thing that keeps me interested in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

    ReplyDelete
  56. I didn't like the first Captain America but Winter Soldier blew me away. I'm more interested in Cap 3 than the Avengers.

    ReplyDelete
  57. And you thought Lincoln freed the slaves...

    ReplyDelete
  58. They're unfortunately about to run into the 'back-in buzzsaw' that is the Giants. If there's a way to win crazy, they do it.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Extant1979 - Ghetto SuperstarOctober 15, 2014 at 6:30 PM

For that, I'll start watching TNA again. Wait, I canceled cable. Nevermind.

    ReplyDelete
  60. "Yep Mode" ABeyAnce1©October 15, 2014 at 6:30 PM

Will Cap also kill the vampires?

    ReplyDelete
  61. I can't count KC out...they find a way, too.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Extant1979 - Ghetto SuperstarOctober 15, 2014 at 6:30 PM

Could be. Could also be something else.

    ReplyDelete
  63. GOOD D! Way to minimize Jay's fuckup.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Stranger in the AlpsOctober 15, 2014 at 6:31 PM

    AH'M JUSS KIDDIN' !!!

    ReplyDelete
  65. I tried to tell my brother this. He is a huge royals fan, and he likes the giants match up better.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Was catching up on some podcast listening this evening and came across a recent one with SCSA and Nash (their fourth on his show) and honestly these guys should have some sort of show on the Network. I'd listen to a 162-hour shoot interview with them. They are talking about what process they use to select toilet paper among other things.

    ReplyDelete
  67. So it was clearly a bad match since his TNA stuff is wrong

    ReplyDelete
  68. Bayless- what did Meltzer say about the shocking thing? Was it basically as reported?

    ReplyDelete
  69. He is incorrect. The Giants have a knack for this and they're not as banged up.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Stranger in the AlpsOctober 15, 2014 at 6:33 PM

So someone asked earlier today in another thread, and I haven't followed up, but what was JR referring to on Twitter about a shot WWE took at him when they shilled Austin's podcast?

    Anyone?

    ReplyDelete
  71. I never gave a teacher a poor rating, but one of my online teachers is doing a good job influencing me to give him one. We have done a lot in the class and the last thing he graded was last month.

    ReplyDelete
  72. Seems to the it. Though I'm semi-pissed. If rumors are true and this puts Cap out of Avengers 3, going to get harder and harder for Rogers picking up Thor's hammer to play out on screen

    ReplyDelete
  73. Extant1979 - Ghetto SuperstarOctober 15, 2014 at 6:35 PM

I don't see how they do it as the MCU currently stands. No Spider-Man, no other heroes but the Avengers.

    ReplyDelete
  74. Also if Cap 3 features Iron Man does that mean no Iron Man 4? Lots of moving pieces here!

    ReplyDelete
  75. That just means everyone is going to get a passing grade.

    ReplyDelete
  76. This isn't highschool PE.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Instead of revealing identities, could be fighting over the government wanting to take back control over Avengers, Iron Man for government overlook, Cap against

    ReplyDelete
  78. It would be badass for them to create like a morning show with Austin or someone else with a good track record on the Podcast; make it in the same vein as a morning radio show ala Mike and Mike that they film, can do all sorts of stuff with it.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Extant1979 - Ghetto SuperstarOctober 15, 2014 at 6:37 PM

I still haven't seen Winter Soldier, I want to pick up the Blu-Rays for both Cap movies.

    ReplyDelete
  80. BOO! BUNTS SUCK BOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  81. I feel where you coming from but I can't tell what grade I made on anything in college. It really doesn't matter unless you just need to know.

    ReplyDelete
  82. I think Winter Soldier is the best movie to come out of the Marvel Cinematic Universe yet. Well, maybe tied with The Avengers. It's fantastic.

    ReplyDelete
  83. Randy Choate agrees.

    ReplyDelete
  84. GPA matters in my study of field.

    ReplyDelete
  85. Extant1979 - Ghetto SuperstarOctober 15, 2014 at 6:39 PM

So, does Cap 3 end with Red Skull putting a bullet in Cap's head?

    ReplyDelete
  86. They suck almost as bad as his fielding.

    ReplyDelete
  87. That I would enjoy, hour or two a day. Austin is a such a great rambler, great with phone calls, tweets, whatever and he can just talk about random shit. It would be great.

They are just fucking up the Network.

    ReplyDelete
  88. For marvel, I would like to see a black widow origin story and nick fury origin story

    ReplyDelete
  89. I enjoyed it due to having money on the Giants, but boy was that a terrible error. Hell, it was a terrible inning.

    ReplyDelete
  90. If you knew you he was giving you an A for the class would you still need/want to know the grade of your assignments? No wrong answer, just want to know if this is really important or just important to you

    ReplyDelete
  91. That's how Cap 2 ended.

    ReplyDelete
  92. Extant1979 - Ghetto SuperstarOctober 15, 2014 at 6:41 PM

    Thanks for the spoiler.

    ReplyDelete
  93. ....it should....that's my issue with the universe right now, love what they've done but with all the "raised stakes", they need to kill some people for "real"

    ReplyDelete
  94. Did Austin piss someone off? They don't use him for anything anymore. Seems like he would be doing promo work or something for them

    ReplyDelete
  95. For classes out of my major, I couldn't care less if I learn anything or not. But in my major classes, I would like to learn more about it. So far, I haven't really learned anything in this class.

    ReplyDelete
  96. I never had access to WWE 24/7 on my cable provider, and literally just subscribed yesterday afternoon. I think I've gone through like five pay per views and five hours of Legends of Wrestling roundtables, plus I watched my first wall-to-wall live show in years. To think that it could be BETTER than this is just crazy.

Start off with a morning show with Austin or somebody, have special guests on for a couple hours. Run a studio show recapping angles from Raw and maybe even live event results ala Sportscenter, run your retrospective shows in the afernoon, then intermingle PPVs and old shows with NXT, Main Event, and Specials.

    ReplyDelete
  97. Extant1979 - Ghetto SuperstarOctober 15, 2014 at 6:42 PM

He was just there for the roster reveal.

    ReplyDelete
  98. Aren't you a communications major? Why does it matter?

    ReplyDelete
  99. It's clear I was kidding right? Because I hate spoilers and I don't wanna be the dick who spoils the movie for you lol.

    ReplyDelete
  100. Now I understand. Yeah bury him. Probably still a waste of time though

    ReplyDelete
  101. Better GPA = more opportunities to land a better job.

    ReplyDelete
  102. Extant1979 - Ghetto SuperstarOctober 15, 2014 at 6:44 PM

I figured. Given how many people talk about Cap 2, I think I would have heard that by now.

    ReplyDelete
  103. Extant1979 - Ghetto SuperstarOctober 15, 2014 at 6:45 PM

    That's... not at all true.

Better talent = more opportunities. Talent =/= grades.

    ReplyDelete
  104. the video game?

    ReplyDelete
  105. ...spoiler for a movie that came out like 8 months ago?

    ReplyDelete
  106. I'm surprised they haven't announced a Solo Hulk movie.

    ReplyDelete
  107. I watched the new Raws that were uploaded and in the '95 "season premiere" episode, whatever that new theme song was I never heard it. Did they lose the rights to the Raw theme song? Also they shows clips of the next week's episode at the end of the episode. Obviously fucking screamed taped show!

    ReplyDelete
  108. I won't bury him. I usually give teachers good scores when evaluating them. If I gave him all 1 out of 5s, I wouldn't matter at all.

    ReplyDelete
  109. This. I have applied to thousnads of jobs over the years. Literally not one of them has ever asked for a GPA

    I'll grade your papers later.

    ReplyDelete
  114. Extant1979 - Ghetto SuperstarOctober 15, 2014 at 6:46 PM

And actually, ability to schmooze/network/connect with others is even more important than talent.

    ReplyDelete
  116. Apparently someone thought Cole and JBL's banter about other podcasts Lawler has (or has not) been on was aimed at JR.

    Petty bullshit, IMO.

    ReplyDelete
  122. davidbonzaisaldanamontgomeryOctober 15, 2014 at 6:47 PM

I'm not. I think they've figured out he works better in a ensemble and/or small doses. If he gets another movie, I'd expect it to be a team-up rather than one in the vein of the previous film.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  127. Extant1979 - Ghetto SuperstarOctober 15, 2014 at 6:49 PM

    ReplyDelete
  128. He was on the Summerslam panel thing they do as well, which feels like a long time ago even though it's only been 2 months.

    ReplyDelete
  129. Well, I have heard that GPAs usually don't matter. But if they are too low or too high, they could matter. But yeah, I figured out early that highschool was basically a waste of time as long as you passed MCAS.

    ReplyDelete
  130. davidbonzaisaldanamontgomeryOctober 15, 2014 at 6:50 PM

I think a lot of it is going to depend on how successful BvS is. If it ends up a hot mess, that's gonna shake faith in the brand.

    ReplyDelete
  131. Good on them, to be honest. It's nice to see NEW teams come into the World Series for a change, instead of the same damn clubs from the National League.

    ReplyDelete
  132. Not everyone can be the great Aaron Glazer, who can do both at once.

    ReplyDelete
  133. I really wish they'd tie in the Arrow and Flash series with their films. I'm not really interested in a Flash movie since we've just seen a good version of his origin story on TV.

    ReplyDelete
  134. ok just wondering. btw, do they still have guys come sign autographs when tickets on go sale? I know HBK used to do a lot of that. Wondering why they don't use Austin for it.

  135. Extant1979 - Ghetto SuperstarOctober 15, 2014 at 6:52 PM

If you want to get an advanced degree, GPAs absolutely matter. Other than that, though, no employer will give a shit. It's so much more important to gain experience in college through internships, independent studies and working on college papers/TV/radio stations.

I think the Flash decision is ridiculous. They have what is a successful franchise with Arrow and Flash, why not build on it into the movies?

    So stupid.
