Joe Gagne's Funtime Pro Wrestling Arcade #55: TNA Impact

Sorry about your Dreamcast, Joe.  :(

I actually bought this game from EBGames for $2 in one of their ultra-cheap impulse bins by the till.  I feel like it was a fair price.

Comments

  1. After 6 weeks the only thing I am sure of is that Denver will make it to another AFC title game. I also wish Cris Carter had his own show. He's quietly turned into the Charles Barkley of football.

    ReplyDelete
  2. 41 main events on Raw this year, 23 have ended on a DQ/no contest. That's insane.

    ReplyDelete
  3. Also, Jarrett channelling The Iron Sheik is... disturbing.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Ray Lewis is so stupid. Predicting 0 touchdowns for Peyton tonight and a ? For rushing yards for DeMarco Murray. Why do you even have a job at here?

    ReplyDelete
  5. His reasoning for saying zero was sound but I don't remember the last time Peyton had zero td passes in a game.

    ReplyDelete
  6. You have to be using main event loosely because it feels like half of the shows ended with an interview. Unless you are calling the last match of the show the main event.

    ReplyDelete
  7. I'd be willing to bet my entire paycheck he'll have at least 1.

    ReplyDelete
  8. So would I. He'll get at least two

    ReplyDelete
  9. Even after 7-1 last week, I only have 1 bet. Arizona -3.5 at Oakland. Too many of the lines are basically spot on this week. Dallas over NYG is probably the 2nd best bet of the week but I'm just not willing to actually put money on Dallas keeping their act together after getting a week of solid media BJs.

  10. Goddamn this mango tea is so fucking good. I could drink this shit by the gallon.

    ReplyDelete
  11. I don't even know who else is good in the AFC besides the Broncos and Chargers. I thought the Bengals were way better than they've looked the past 2 weeks when they forgot how to play defense. I know injuries are a factor in Cincy but their scheme is just bizarre right now.

Selfishly I hope it's the Chargers coming out instead of the Broncos. Just something different in the AFC for once.

    ReplyDelete
  12. I went with Cutler over Luck today. I think I blew it.

    ReplyDelete
  13. The entire league is such a crapshoot that the winner will be based on scheduling and match-ups. Philip Rivers has quietly become the 2nd best qb in the league so I think he's capable of getting them there.

I picked Cincy when we did our little poll a few months ago. They aren't the best team in the AFC but they still are the most talented. Not sure if that's enough to get them anywhere though

    ReplyDelete
  14. Jadaveon Clowney might play today. I think everyone forgot he was even in the league

    ReplyDelete
  15. What a scary duo he and Watt could become.

    ReplyDelete
  16. That's what happens when you get injured early on and Watt plays at an MVP level.

    ReplyDelete
  17. I feel sorry for the Rams. The Seahawks are going to be angry.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Carolina defense already letting them down. 2 straight offsides, 1 wiping out a pick and then missed tackles galore on the TD.

    ReplyDelete
  19. I'm still hoping he busts. How he mailed in his last season in college just didn't sit right with me.

    ReplyDelete
  20. I have a horrible feeling the Browns are going to follow up last weeks awesome win and blow it against the Jaguars.

    ReplyDelete
  21. I don't think he mailed it in. If you want to get on him about not playing through injuries then I'll buy that. On the field there wasn't much he could do. He was either being double and triple-teamed or they were rolling the play away from him.

    ReplyDelete
  22. The injuries are a big thing, he clearly wasn't motivated to get back on the field. But there were also plenty of plays he went at half speed and let himself be taken out of the play, especially on obvious running downs.

I'm not even saying that it would have been the smart thing to rush back into action and kill himself for a college team that wasn't a title contender but it just didn't sit right with me.

    ReplyDelete
  23. After watching what Spurrier did to Lattimore I was glad that Clowney stood up for himself. I guess we will differ on Clowney's actual play. It never appeared to me he was mailing it in but he didn't seem really motivated to come back from that thigh injury

    ReplyDelete
  24. Why do birds suddenly appear...every time...you're near...

    ReplyDelete
  25. Looks like it's going to be a long day for the Panthers.

  26. Crikey Mate Down Under AussieOctober 19, 2014 at 11:24 AM

I like to imagine Joe Gagne, Maffew, and Scott Keith, as crime-fighting super friends. That is all.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I played Brady over Cutler. I am ok with my choice.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I'm mean mostly of month-old bread and meal worms.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Pretty much a first round KO at this point. GB has 3 TDs, I don't think Carolina even has a 1st down yet.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Ugh, fuck off Meekin.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Hey, Hey! If you're gonna drop the quote from the song that I used to win Gold at a regional improvisational speaking competition, you're GETTING the joke I opened my speech with.

    ReplyDelete
  32. You are feces.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Some people call me Maurice...

    ReplyDelete
  34. And after a LOT of yellow laundry at Ford Field, the Saints take a 7-0 lead early in the 2nd, taking advantage of a Stafford interception and a short field.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I love that the Bills have an Orton to Hogan combination.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Miami are palying really well.

    This makes me nervous.

    ReplyDelete
  37. And I had the GB defense last week and dropped them for Dallas after Miami scored 24 points on them. Damn my luck.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Anyone here playing Madden Ultimate Team?

Anyone else playing Madden Ultimate Team from the pulled out camera and laughing your way to the coin bank? That shit is unfair.

    ReplyDelete
  39. It's like a recurring nightmare.

    ReplyDelete
  40. It'll be a good game. The Seapups are overrated.

    ReplyDelete
  41. It's like a nightmare, isn't it?

Just keeps getting worse and worse, doesn't it?

    (Obscure reference?)

    ReplyDelete
  42. I'm glad I don't bet on sports anymore, cause i'd be losing tons of money on Seattle right now.

    ReplyDelete
  43. As abeyance would say "yep".

    ReplyDelete
  44. You're Canadian right? Can you bet on curling and poutine eating up there?

    ReplyDelete
  45. Packers are kicking the Panthers ass. Woooooooo!

    ReplyDelete

My cat was being bad so I gave him 3 RKO's...he no sold them and is licking himself as we speak....damm after last week I really thought RKO' s worked.

    now that's just plain mean

    ReplyDelete
  48. McKelvin is a MONSTER out there today! #billieve

  49. YankeesHoganTripleHFanOctober 19, 2014 at 12:07 PM

eh..I was going to go with the betting on curling.

    ReplyDelete
  50. If the Carolina defense remembered to finish their tackles, maybe it wouldn't be so lopsided.

    ReplyDelete
  51. I hope your nonexistent dick falls in the toilet tomorrow.

(Cries in the corner, puts on Sarah McLachlan)

    ReplyDelete
  52. I just suck at sports betting. I have like a special negative gift. :)

    ReplyDelete
  53. Seattle looks atrocious right now; the Dallas game wasn't as close as it looked last week either; I wonder what's going on with that crew?

    ReplyDelete
  54. Florida State wins and Carolina's getting their ass ripped. What a terrible sports weekend.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Did you yell "STUPID STUPID STUPID" to your cat?

    ReplyDelete
  56. Color of money, baby!!

    ReplyDelete
  57. I've got a very basic MUT team... maybe only three games played. Explain the camera thing.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Well normally when you play Madden you have that camera angle from behind the QB's back. When you dive into MUT, or at least for me, it pulled the camera back (which you can do manually by pushing down (or up) on the D-Pad)

When you pull the camera out, it's easier to see the safeties and get a better idea of how the field is flowing. If you see a safety move to the left or right, it's now easier to see if any of your recievers are running past them in a way that allows you to make a play.

It allows you see more of the field pre-and-post snap, and it seems most players on MUT don't take advantage of it because I'm simply running where they ain't.

My current goal is to secure HA HA Clinton-Dix for my team.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Jackson AND Spiller leave the field with assistance. Shit.

    ReplyDelete
  60. ... maybe you should have felt sorry for the Seahawks?

    ReplyDelete
  61. What an ugly batch of 1pm games. Maybe the Giants can cap the day off by driving through Dealey Plaza

    ReplyDelete
  62. Can't say I noticed that. I'll give it another look... but in playing connected franchise, I can see the whole field like you're saying.

    ReplyDelete
  63. That story mode actually seemed more entertaining than most of the ones in the old Smackdown games.

    ReplyDelete
  64. The game had a decent attempt at a story mode, but it played like ass. I over-paid for it at a whopping $8 a year after it was released... and mine is the Wii version.

    ReplyDelete
  65. ...and most TNA storylines, for that matter.
