Pretty funny they've turned teddy long making tag team matches into a meme.
Keep calm and leave the money on the table? I'm pretty over the whole "Keep Calm" meme, so naturally WWE would now pounce on it. I bet they start exploiting the Randy Orton meme sometime two years from now.
They've already mentioned the Orton meme on their site. I don't really know how they'd mention it on TV unless they use it to mock him. But I also see him turning face soon so maybe they could use it for that purpose?
ReplyDeleteBetter ankle lock: Kurt Angle or Vontaze Burfict?
ReplyDeleteI definitely want the "Keep Calm and Never Doubt El Dandy" one on a t-shirt. And I say that with tears in my eyes.
ReplyDeleteI'd love a comedy face Orton showing up and RKOing heels backstage out of nowhere, and then cheesing it up afterward.
ReplyDeleteLike Stasiak?
ReplyDeleteExcept competent.
ReplyDeleteAh, that WWE marketing department. Always on the cutting edge, if the cutting edge was two years ago. Right now they are probably figuring out some way to ape "Murray Christmas."
ReplyDeleteHey, those were actually funny!
ReplyDeleteI agree.
ReplyDeleteI'm behind on the whole meme thing. According to WWE it's from a 1939 British slogan. NINETEEN THIRTY NINE! Excuse me while I go get these kids off of my lawn
ReplyDeleteHeh. A couple of those are pretty obscure (e.g., Warrior). Also, surely the folks at WWE.com are aware of the methods by which Sheik proposed to make people humble. Is that really something they want to be referencing?
ReplyDeletePositively. Kanyon. Bang.
ReplyDeleteNever doubt El Dandy.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I'm a little bit tired of keeping calm.
ReplyDeleteYeah, that one raised an eyebrow with me as well.
ReplyDeleteI was surprised to see that one, but I did chuckle.
