Hopefully you can read between the lines and figure out how excited I am for this monthly special event on WWE Network, which is only $9.99 in case you didn't know.
Why should I pay $9.99 for a glorified raw with matches I will not remember in 1 months time. Except for Lesnar/cena, I honestly couldn't tell you what was on the last ppv without looking it up.
So house shows with Ambrose/Orton on top aren't doing well? Wasn't that the same problem with Bryan as well? Has anyone been able to draw besides Cena at house shows since Cena's been the top face?
Maybe McMahon will call an audible and have Orton go over Cena? I really don't see the point of Cena/Lesnar IV, I mean what can they really do differently? Unless they are really worried about declining ratings and network buys, I don't see Lesnar dropping the title until Wrestlemania, so why have Cena face him again without going over clean?
It's true, they've basically made Orton the equal of Joey Mercury and Jaime Noble, but it's kind of his fault because, like Cena, he never evolves as a character. I would like to see how a match would go down between Orton and Lesnar though if it was similar to Lesnar's total domination of Cena at Summerslam.
The past several months of TV ratings would completely contradict any claims that John Cena is a ratings draw.
At this point, it's like WCW continuing to keep Kevin Nash on top despite his lack of ratings or drawing power and we know what happened in that situation.
That's true, I guess. I agree with the premise someone said on here that Cena has really been aimless as a character since he beat the Rock. Cena really needs to take some months off to refresh his character, but I kind of feel like he never will unless he's truly hurt or leaving for good because they always get worried when ratings go down and they drag him back in, even though he's kind of showing diminishing results ratings wise.
In relateable news, Vince Russo just took credit for coming up with the HIAC gimmick. Of all the horrible things Russo has done, this has to be one of the worse. This man is the worst reborn Christian ever. He takes credit for people's ideas and then denies his own.
I can't blame him for this one. Coming up with the idea that led to Shawn/Taker one of the best matches ever? Fuck Cornette *I* came up with Hell in a Cell!
Imagine if you will, a world in which VKM got cold feet about how much money he could lose on the 1st Wrestlemania so he decides not to use Mr. T and Cyndi Lauper. This is basically how he's treating the network. It's this potentially revolutionary thing that if successful will have the WWE set for years and years... but they are going the cheap route every chance they get. Very little new original content, going at a snail's pace to add archival footage, and going off the rails creatively on there flagship show (RAW) and PPV's. Now granted, Vince didn't have to worry about Wall Street in the 80's
But what does that even do? Orton on top isn't fresh--he was just there 6 months ago. They've got a huge roster and the endless possibilities of a fully scripted full-contact sport.
For instance, once upon a time the Royal Rumble didn't exist. For the first several years there was no WrestleMania title shot at stake, all the top guys just wanted to win the Royal Rumble. For glory. Because it's an accolade. I'm not saying they can--POOF--invent a new Royal Rumble, but for fuck's sake have a tournement with a nice mix of top guys, mid level guys, and low level guys. Call it the Fall Classic. Have everyone cut super serious promos about wanting to win. Have fun with the outcomes.
It stuns me (not really) that half of what's happening on this card is just booking for future feuds involving either John Cena or Randy Orton. And when they both end up being the #1 and #2 faces again (because that's exactly where all this is heading), you know what that means? It'll be time to start building towards ANOTHER match between them!
Notice that Sheamus has likewise been on the fast track to nowhere since his matches with Orton last year. It's like they constantly keep blaming the other guy while conveniently ignoring the bland problem that's right in front of their faces.
Why are people obsessed with the US title lately? Why would they feud over that instead of the World championship? If I were Rusev and I've had his momentum, why would I settle for second best? Would you?
As for the stuff that's been cranked out, its the best it has been in years (since I've started watching again in '10) Punk's Reign of Terror is behind us, the Bryan payoff was awesome, even if I'm not a huge fan. Leaner is killing people and being made an attraction and a rare treat like Hogan was. Reigns looks great (injury aside, and that's not the E's fault) The Authority is a great stable that is making a star out of Rollins and Ambrose. Speaking of, you have one of the hottest and interesting feud in forever with Ambrose and Rollins and they are fucking killing it! (Awesome blood feud that hasn't been seen in forever, albeit it would be much much better if they would actually have blood) The Rock/HHH segment was terrific, and showed why they are two of the greatest ever. Rusev is fun to watch, crushing dudes left and right (and Show has always been a guilty pleasure. For a guy his size, his athleticism is amazing) and his feud with Show, while not the best, will finally have the Russian beating a guy bigger than him. (Aka making a star) Lana. (One word says it all) Do I have to go on? What more can we ask for?!? Its exactly what we've been clamoring for for years now. The only thing I'm annoyed with is the Bella twins. But even that has a positive as we all need a piss or shit break.
And I'm fairly tired of the bitching re: Orton v Cena. They always bring the goods against each other, great chemistry. We've seen it a million times? You mean like Rock/Austin? Rock/HHH? Suicide Blondes/Hardys/Dudley's? Angle/Murderer? What are you guys complaining about?
And you don't? #1 sport in America vs a niche product? (Not a criticism, but I think we can all agree that wrestling isn't for everyone.) Damn dude, what are you thinking?
But it is somewhat his fault. He has the power and voice to talk to Vince if he wanted to change shit up, but he doesn't. He doesn't give a fuck, just like John Cena.
Excuse for September-January: It's the NFL's fault.
Excuse for January: It's the fault of (insert boring bowl game that inevitably involves Alabama here).
Excuse for February: It's the NBA or the NHL's fault, their seasons are almost over by that point.
Excuse for March: It's college basketball's fault, damn that March Madness for distracting people from the Road To Wrestlemania.
Excuse for April: Baseball's started.
Excuse for May and June: NHL and NBA playoffs are taking place, people would rather watch those.
Excuse for July: Uh, It's the Saskatchewan Regional Curling Championship's fault (Damn you Men With Brooms for making curling more popular).
Excuse for August: It's preseason football's fault, people are riveted by those Jaguars vs. Raiders matchups (and of course every four years, there's the Summer Olympic excuse).
And every September, the excuse cycle repeats all over again like Clean Slate repeating the plot of Groundhog Day.
Can't really blame football for RAW's lousy ratings when you realize The Walking Dead also competes head to head against primetime football and yet their ratings haven't declined any.
1) Yeah actually, its a pretty significant difference. 2) stale my ass. Not everyone has been watching religiously a product they don't enjoy for the past 10 years or so. Besides, I always enjoyed HHH, Rock, Foley, Austin, Angle and the limited tag division tear it up against each other during the E's hottest year. My complaint and I think its the reason you feel this way is because there is simply too much show going on. A 3 hour weekly Raw is exhausting.
Again, apples and oranges. Walking Dead is the hottest show on TV right now. Raw is a niche product. Even in its biggest boom, I don't think Raw was getting the numbers WD does. (Though could be wrong)
That's cool that you enjoy the product. I tend to enjoy RAW too more often than not but the problem is WWE obviously needs four million more of us to watch every week and about an extra 600,000 or so to plunk down $9.99 a month and for many reasons (among them their habit of running with the same stale guys on top for too long), that just hasn't happened yet.
Yeah, Hell In A Cell is a completely pointless PPV concept, especially since you can easily replace it with Halloween Havoc and the wrestlers dressing up in Halloween costumes alone would make the show a lot more creative, a lot more fun plus it's far more fitting for the TV-PG format.
That's true that new ventures almost never go 100% well within the first year. After all, HBO, ESPN, Netflix lost massive amounts of money for the first several years before they turned the corner and I think the WWE Network is so far losing less money than it could be losing under the circumstances.
But obviously WWE sees the ratings and lack of revenue as a major problem, hence all of the cost cutting measures and last minute hotshotting that's going on now.
Don't forget burying guys that are over with the fans just because the monkeys in the writing team didn't plan on them getting over (You might as well call Jack Swagger the 2014 equivalent of Norman Smiley and Chris Jericho).
No chance Lesnar is jobbing to Reigns in the next year, but I think the plan is Orton/Lesnar for the next PPV, since it's in Orton's hometown and they're loving the RKO memes
The point is that the company is REACHING 1999 WCW levels; essentially it's a very talented roster who are dictated by a room full of monkeys on typewriters. And really in WCW's defense, they got stupid because they got desperate when trying to compete with the WWF. What's WWE's excuse for being stupid, what with all their money and staff and production?
But again... who drew more money? Seriously. Hogan and Flair in 1999, despite being hideous, probably did OK. Cena and Orton in another main event in 2014? It doesn't move the needle at all.
Honestly, if you could have the ol' Men In Black flashy thing done to you, you'd watch 1999 WCW over today's shit because it was at least spontaneous.
So in what, four calender years in WWE, Lesnar will have fought a total of 5 people? Taker, Cena, Punk, HHH and eventually Reigns? This is a Waste Of Brock.
I think Ziggler-Cesaro 2-out-of-3 falls should be dandy. Rollins-Ambrose should be good, too. Totally worth hanging out on Sunday night and reading you guys complain about the product,
Between watching last week's and the new episode of The Walking Dead and the series finale of Boardwalk Empire, WWE will be lucky to get any attention from me. I may remember to use the app on my phone to at least have the PPV playing so I can watch during TWD commercials, but I doubt it.
They are not gonna have a number one contender match and then wait three months for the match. They will pay the extra money and get Lesnar to Appear at Survivor Series. Therefore Orton gets him at SS. Cena gets him at RR. Bryan or Reigns get him at WM.
While I don't think the network can go away right now and it IS revolutionary, I think because he's getting cold feet and isn't expanding...it won't be his downfall, but he started something that others are going to take. HBO is planning on releasing HBO go to internet subscribers before Game of Thrones starts next year. Currently, it's only available if you also have HBO on cable but they're changing it.
MLB and the NFL are also looking into it, though are currently tied up in long TV deals. However once those deals are done, there will be plenty of companies who look to the WWE model and will say, "hey. They got almost a million subscribers just with Pro Wrestling. Imagine if we gave them the NFL."
Vince took a risk and I think a lot of other people are going to reap benefits from it.
I'm way more optimistic about this show than Scott appears to be. The two main event matches should be awesome and there's enough scenarios that can happen that it's worth seeing what route they take.
Or it doesn't look particularly interesting. Not everything is nitpicking, though you do quite a bit of it yourself when attempting to summarize why someone might not want to watch the show.
I don't know what I like more: the fact that the dude took a Michinoku Driver off the giant dirt pile, or that he was playing Super Mario World for the SNES when the match started.
Re: The US title thing. I don't know it's different. Rusev wins the US title to rub it in America's face. Cena gets offended and has a soft spot for the US tittle b/c it was his first.
And I do not agree at all about Orton vs Cena. I have never enjoyed an Orton vs Cena match. They bore me to tears. Real tears.
All I want is for them to shuffle the deck. Mix things up. Do things differently. Cena vs Orton headlining a ppv for the right to a title shot is not different.
My prediction is that the WWE apologists and pretentious douche bag elitists will come on here and rave about how awesome Ziggler/Cesaro was (a match we've seen 24,725 times) and give their cutesy little star ratings, when in reality 2/3 fall matches are so damn overrated and predictable. Yeah, cool, you get more wrestling between the two, when the wrestling before the third fall is boring as shit. Know what would be cool? If someone actually won the first two falls. Throw a curve once in a while.
Vince always gets ass hurt when you don't like something he likes. He thinks by being pro WWE that it makes him smarky and elite... on-going trend. It's beautiful.
The thing is, the whole 'don't get excited until X point in the match' problem has existed for a long time, and it doesn't matter what match type it is or what event. One of the biggest recent mistakes the 'E has made booking wise is turning finisher kick outs to a regular occurrence. Now the crowd knows that the match isn't going to end until at least one wrestler kicks out of the others' big move, so why get excited before then?
That's one of the many reasons that, for example, Bret was so great. He often incorporated finishes that didn't rely on the sharpshooter, his sole 'finishing' maneuver, and so you never knew when the match would end (the famous kick off the turnbuckle pin to escape the Million Dollar Dream against Steve Austin being a famous fan favorite).
All that said, preemptively attacking people on a personal level is never a good idea. It comes off as... well, I'm sure you could guess, especially with that wonderful word 'douche bag' right on the welcome mat.
We all have our moments though, no judgement, just being real.
That's misleading. Ratings have been dropping on a program that can be viewed 4 (I think) different ways, some of which don't apply to ratings measurement.
Eh I'm generally a positive guy to begin with. Negativity was very destructive to me. But really, I believe credit should be given where its due. They are doing a lot of things that we all asked for. We should be rewarding that or we have no more reason to criticize (unless its criticism for criticisms sake. Which will drive you crazy) But for real? Haven't cared about US title since the early 90s. Have a hard time believing anyone really does.
But I also don't really get the group that hopes WWE goes under. This seems both stupid and selfish. Why cut off your Jose to spite your face? Why take away something you might not enjoy from those that do? M Kinda horrible I think.
I call bullshit. Neither Ziggler nor Cesaro have been in the company long enough to work 24,745 matches, let alone with each other. Didn't bother reading the rest as you lost credibility there.
They Re pushing new stars. Again, Rollins and Ambrose are in a main event match and feud. And really just because you're sick of Orton - Cena doesn't mean everyone is. I actually really like Orton, he's an amazing athlete.
I remember how much folks were "sick" of the Rock and he's now considered amazing. Cmon.
Well, yeah, neither Ambrose nor Rollins have headlined a ppv, or had a ppv WWE title match (or televised for that matter). So having them in the main event with the winner getting Lesnar down the line would absolutely be fresh.
They are definitely going the safe route with Cena/Orton, but it's also the boring route, and they've been doing the safe--keep Cena on top--thing for too long.
Again I point to Rock/Austin/Mankind/Taker/HHH. AND IT WAS AWESOME! But I was in college and stoned/drunk so everything was awesome. Maybe that's the problem. Past always looks better than today. Until today becomes the past.
I was in high school and not drunk or stoned, and it was still awesome. I've never been able to really get into Cena or Orton or Batista. But I believe your the guy I questioned about not liking Edge or Jericho, so it seems we've got different tastes, so no sense in arguing taste.
More importantly we seem to agree about watching wrestling under the influence--so we'd probably get along!
You're splitting hairs. There's a difference between a wrestling angle that is good, makes sense within the context of wrestling and keeps people entertained and one that is dreadful, goes nowhere and gets no one over.
Well good for you. Most people are sick of Cena and Orton. That's why ticket sales and ratings are decreasing. And yeah. Rollins and Ambrose are getting over. SO over, in fact, that they felt the need to attempt to insert John Cena into it. I'm not gonna pretend like they had to have their hand forced like the Bryan push, but in some ways, this feud has gotten hot despite the company instead of because of it. And if they make Cena vs Orton in the cell the final match on the card, they're asking for the crowd to turn on it. Cause they absolutely will.

ReplyDeleteExcept for Lesnar/cena, I honestly couldn't tell you what was on the last ppv without looking it up.
AJ-Paige seems like a pretty safe bet these days
ReplyDeleteWell not sure how HITC is going to play out but Scott sure as hell bored us with his preview.
ReplyDeleteI am glad that you haven't been murdered by crazy Canadians yet.
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing how much they stop trying during the fall.
ReplyDeleteSo house shows with Ambrose/Orton on top aren't doing well? Wasn't that the same problem with Bryan as well? Has anyone been able to draw besides Cena at house shows since Cena's been the top face?
ReplyDeleteNotice the other half of the equation. Orton. He's not over, he's a fucking heat sink. And yet they keep booking him as a top guy anyway.
ReplyDeleteNot to mention he has a history of ratings falling to year lows when he's champion.
ReplyDeleteMaybe McMahon will call an audible and have Orton go over Cena? I really don't see the point of Cena/Lesnar IV, I mean what can they really do differently? ReplyDeleteLike Vince would ever accept a sponsor who said "I do declare" and "the vapors" in a southern accent: WWE isn't down south wrasslin'.
ReplyDeleteI kind of assumed Ambrose/Rollins was going to be the main event... I'm not the only one right?
ReplyDeleteYeah - down South rasslin' was taken seriously, featuring intense feuds and realistic fights. Boo to that!
ReplyDeleteSometimes they mix it up and do Paige-AJ.
ReplyDeleteI'd do Paige and aj

ReplyDeleteWord. Its why it no longer exists on a national level.
ReplyDeleteHa ha! Nitro! Because it sucks! I hate having access to all that archival content. Dunno why I subscribed.
ReplyDeleteEven though the ratings slide began before the start of preseason football let alone regular season.
ReplyDeleteOh he will. I have a feeling he'll be extra pissed off about this on his podcast tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteRic Flair vs. Hulk Hogan in 1999/2000.

Aside from Wrestlemania and Summerslam, that's how WWE looks at their PPVs as well, background noise to the Network. It's pathetic.
ReplyDeleteSorry for the book below but I'm drunk and really enjoying the product, hence the frustration. Ever think we might have unrealistic expectations?

Honestly, if you could have the ol' Men In Black flashy thing done to you, you'd watch 1999 WCW over today's shit because it was at least spontaneous.
Aso.
ReplyDeleteYou've got to be the most positive wwe fan I have EVER seen on the internet
ReplyDeleteThis is why I think Rollins/Ambrose should main event. This is months in the making, Orton/Cena was only really made a week ago.
ReplyDeleteNo way, that makes far too much sense.
ReplyDeleteI don't know man, I just read Hall's latest Nitro report and it sounds a lot fucking worse than this show does.
ReplyDeleteHe has already admitted that he is/was drunk.
ReplyDeleteSo in what, four calender years in WWE, Lesnar will have fought a total of 5 people? Taker, Cena, Punk, HHH and eventually Reigns? This is a Waste Of Brock.
ReplyDeleteRatings have pretty much on average dropped every year for the past 12 years. Fans are slowly dripping away.
ReplyDeleteSo you don't think Rollins/Ambrose is worthy of a cell match, after a 5 month long chase?
ReplyDeleteAnd WCW War Games was just the result of being September, from 1993 to 1998.
I would be ready to bet that Ambrose/Rollins is going on last. Bet what, I don't know, but I totally would! (just not money) *ahem*
ReplyDeleteI think Ziggler-Cesaro 2-out-of-3 falls should be dandy. Rollins-Ambrose should be good, too. Totally worth hanging out on Sunday night and reading you guys complain about the product,
ReplyDeleteIt does sound like a good show, I would consider watching it, but it might have to be through nefarious and not totally legal means. (stupid NetPak)
ReplyDelete...
ReplyDeleteWhich is not at all supported or condoned here at Scott's Blog of (Perfectly Legal) Doom.
Yeah, I know, I was actually misunderstood, what I really meant was HEY LOOK OVER THERE!!! *runs away*
ReplyDeleteUninspiring as much of the booking is, if everyone has their working boots on there's a decent chance of at least three ****+ matches.
ReplyDeleteMan, reading all if that makes me want to pull out my hair in frustration at the company.
ReplyDeleteYep.
ReplyDeleteBetween watching last week's and the new episode of The Walking Dead and the series finale of Boardwalk Empire, WWE will be lucky to get any attention from me. I may remember to use the app on my phone to at least have the PPV playing so I can watch during TWD commercials, but I doubt it.
ReplyDeleteThey are not gonna have a number one contender match and then wait three months for the match. They will pay the extra money and get Lesnar to Appear at Survivor Series. Therefore Orton gets him at SS. Cena gets him at RR. Bryan or Reigns get him at WM.
ReplyDeleteHas there anybody as consistent on the roster over the last two years as Goldust?
ReplyDeleteGreat Khali has consistently sucked for more than two years.
ReplyDeleteThe worthiness of Rollins/Ambrose being in a cell is moot.
ReplyDeleteThey are not in a cell because circumstances compelled it.
They are in a cell because it is October.
Orton and Cena have been feuding since before the Civil War.
ReplyDeleteWhile I don't think the network can go away right now and it IS revolutionary, I think because he's getting cold feet and isn't expanding...it won't be his downfall, but he started something that others are going to take. HBO is planning on releasing HBO go to internet subscribers before Game of Thrones starts next year. Currently, it's only available if you also have HBO on cable but they're changing it.
ReplyDeleteMLB and the NFL are also looking into it, though are currently tied up in long TV deals. However once those deals are done, there will be plenty of companies who look to the WWE model and will say, "hey. They got almost a million subscribers just with Pro Wrestling. Imagine if we gave them the NFL."
Vince took a risk and I think a lot of other people are going to reap benefits from it.
The ratings are on par.
ReplyDeleteBut they built it up and timed it very well. It sounds like you won't allow yourself to enjoy it because of this nitpick. I am amazed.
ReplyDeleteYou pretty much summed up the Iron Sheik-Hacksaw Jim Duggan feud in your Big Show vs Rusev prediction.
ReplyDeleteNaruto vs Sasuke was way better than anything you're going to see on this show.
ReplyDelete**** 1/4
Show's smoking weed in the back of Rusev's jalopy?
ReplyDeleteWhat's there to enjoy? Hell in a Cell is a regular match with an obstructed view.
ReplyDeleteTJ: This might be the greatest "backyard" match iv ever seen
ReplyDeletehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2XJF7huzUis
I'm way more optimistic about this show than Scott appears to be. The two main event matches should be awesome and there's enough scenarios that can happen that it's worth seeing what route they take.
ReplyDeleteThose were the worst War Games tbf.
ReplyDeleteThat's one way to end that feud.
ReplyDeleteZiggler/Cesaro is the only thing that interests me at all, but it should be great. Let's hope they actually give them some decent time.
ReplyDeleteOr it doesn't look particularly interesting. Not everything is nitpicking, though you do quite a bit of it yourself when attempting to summarize why someone might not want to watch the show.
ReplyDeleteLast I heard those two are tag partners again.
ReplyDeleteall the tickets to the show should be half off.
ReplyDeleteso that is how Orton got so many tattoos, slaves were doing them for him.
ReplyDeleteIn the words of Mean Gene Okerlund, Holy Balls...
ReplyDeleteI don't know what I like more: the fact that the dude took a Michinoku Driver off the giant dirt pile, or that he was playing Super Mario World for the SNES when the match started.
IM ALL JACKED UP ON MOUNTAIN DEWWW!!!
ReplyDeleteNot now. Shit went down in 697.
ReplyDeleteYou know, a Halloween costume worked wonders for Cena. And a different look for a PPV would be a nice change of pace.
ReplyDeleteRe: The US title thing. I don't know it's different. Rusev wins the US title to rub it in America's face. Cena gets offended and has a soft spot for the US tittle b/c it was his first.
ReplyDeleteAnd I do not agree at all about Orton vs Cena. I have never enjoyed an Orton vs Cena match. They bore me to tears. Real tears.
All I want is for them to shuffle the deck. Mix things up. Do things differently. Cena vs Orton headlining a ppv for the right to a title shot is not different.
It's all good, I wrote my original rant stoned.
ReplyDeleteEver think we might have unrealistic expectations?--Sure. But one can dream, right?
I suspect that the parallel universe where Cena's Vanilla Ice costume never gets caught on video is an interesting one.
ReplyDeleteHe gets a new tatoos after each matches with Cena
ReplyDeleteI hope there will be skipping
ReplyDeleteYeah it makes sense for Russev to go after the US title
ReplyDeleteHa both are beyond great.
ReplyDeleteMy prediction is that the WWE apologists and pretentious douche bag elitists will come on here and rave about how awesome Ziggler/Cesaro was (a match we've seen 24,725 times) and give their cutesy little star ratings, when in reality 2/3 fall matches are so damn overrated and predictable. Yeah, cool, you get more wrestling between the two, when the wrestling before the third fall is boring as shit. Know what would be cool? If someone actually won the first two falls. Throw a curve once in a while.
ReplyDeleteSo will Ambrose rubbing Seths face against the cell really add THAT much to the match? That's about the craziest spot you're going to see.
ReplyDeleteVince always gets ass hurt when you don't like something he likes. He thinks by being pro WWE that it makes him smarky and elite... on-going trend. It's beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThought you might be a bit limited.
ReplyDeleteHeh yeah. But its not fair to damn for not meeting those expectations. For you or the company. :)
ReplyDelete"Know what would be cool? If someone actually won the first two falls. Throw a curve once in a while."
ReplyDeleteThey DID do this in Mick Foley's match with Ric Flair @ Vengeance 2006.
ReplyDeleteThat's one of the many reasons that, for example, Bret was so great.
Which feud has more heat on it at the moment though?
ReplyDeleteYet Ambrose v Rollins is. Could it be the smart business decision of hedging their bets?
ReplyDeleteThat's misleading. Ratings have been dropping on a program that can be viewed 4 (I think) different ways, some of which don't apply to ratings measurement.
ReplyDeleteEh I'm generally a positive guy to begin with.
ReplyDeleteBut I also don't really get the group that hopes WWE goes under. This seems both stupid and selfish. Why cut off your Jose to spite your face? Why take away something you might not enjoy from those that do? M
ReplyDeleteKinda horrible I think.
I call bullshit. Neither Ziggler nor Cesaro have been in the company long enough to work 24,745 matches, let alone with each other. Didn't bother reading the rest as you lost credibility there.
ReplyDeleteYes it could. Don't underrated either men as wrestlers who could deliver.
ReplyDeleteAmbrose, Rollins, Reigns, HHH
ReplyDeleteYeah, I call bullshit.
ReplyDeleteThey Re pushing new stars. Again, Rollins and Ambrose are in a main event match and feud. And really just because you're sick of Orton - Cena doesn't mean everyone is. I actually really like Orton, he's an amazing athlete.
ReplyDeleteI remember how much folks were "sick" of the Rock and he's now considered amazing. Cmon.
And nonsensical angles? This is pro-wrestling not The Godfather. They are all pretty nonsensical.
ReplyDeleteWell, yeah, neither Ambrose nor Rollins have headlined a ppv, or had a ppv WWE title match (or televised for that matter). So having them in the main event with the winner getting Lesnar down the line would absolutely be fresh.
ReplyDeleteThey are definitely going the safe route with Cena/Orton, but it's also the boring route, and they've been doing the safe--keep Cena on top--thing for too long.
Again I point to Rock/Austin/Mankind/Taker/HHH. AND IT WAS AWESOME! But I was in college and stoned/drunk so everything was awesome. Maybe that's the problem. Past always looks better than today. Until today becomes the past.
ReplyDeleteI do agree with that.
ReplyDeleteI was in high school and not drunk or stoned, and it was still awesome.
ReplyDeleteWell good for you.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I was the one...like Edge quite a bit and Jericho is on and off for me.
ReplyDeleteEither way I'm fairly reasonable so I'm not that hard to hang with. Usually.
ReplyDeleteLike I mentioned before, I think its smart business to hedge your bets and not put all the pressure and money on Rollins and Ambrose.
ReplyDeleteOkay then, why should they put it all on Orton-Cena 734?
ReplyDeleteOK. Well can I have examples of the 2?
ReplyDeleteWhat is 734?
ReplyDeleteThey've wrestled on RAW and Smackdown at least over 30 times. Haha my credibility. That hurts, brah.. really hurt.
ReplyDeleteIt.wasn't meant to hurt so much as explain that I can't really believe what you say. How many times did Austin and Rock wrestle each other?
