Just when Orton is becoming awesome again he gets taken off TV :(

    -no one ever

You keep saying that and he may have to go to the papers.

    ReplyDelete
  4. They can write him off and have him come back as a face.

  5. MikeyMike, WitnessNovember 3, 2014 at 7:11 AM

I'm pretty pumped for Raw tonight. The development of Team Cena-Team Authority is at least something that differs from what we are going to get from a standard Raw.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Someone send in "Why do you think it is ok to assault your co-workers?" for Del Rio.

    ReplyDelete
  7. So with half their stars out of action they turn Orton right before pulling him out to make a movie they will make 800 bucks off of from VOD.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Should be fun. There aren't enough instances of people working together anymore. Wee need more traditional SS matches.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Do you think Michael Sam will be RAW tonight?

    ReplyDelete
  10. Yeah, I've never seen the top face go against the established company head. Should be ground breaking!

    ReplyDelete
  11. Were you looking forward to seeing him?

    ReplyDelete
  12. MikeyMike, WitnessNovember 3, 2014 at 7:13 AM

That's true. I'm not "fuck WWE, why are you doing this." I'm just genuinely disappointed he won't be on TV.

    ReplyDelete
  13. I hope to see some BoD submissions for the Del Rio YouShoot

    ReplyDelete
  14. "Why do you think it is ok to assault your co-workers?"

    ReplyDelete
  15. To be fair, his promo was the highlight of the show last week. Of course, we never saw him again after that.

    ReplyDelete
  16. I like Orton a lot more than most here.
He has great in-ring timing that does not get appreciated enough.
I also think Nikki Bella is not getting enough credit lately. She has been looking really well in her role and in the ring.

    ReplyDelete
  17. No it's just the same thing as with Ambrose. Ambrose was hot the roster was depleted and they yank him for a month putting some of the worst episodes of the year on in his absence

    ReplyDelete
  18. It's the perfect explanation for him. He attacks Rollins, gets "suspended", then shows up at SS as Cena's surprise tag team partner when Cena can't get 4 other guys. You can't write a better setup than that.

    ReplyDelete
  19. I agree. I think he has been doing good work as of late, I was more interested in the nature of the complaint here.

    ReplyDelete
  20. That's one. I want to see more.
I might submit a question asking him about the current payoffs and if they are really that bad.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Agree on both. Especially Nikki she has been doin' work in the ring and DEM BOOBS

    ReplyDelete
  22. I could see pulling Orton (or any other wrestler) for a movie that someone might care about. But their movie division has been the failure of 50 XFL seasons, and at this point, isnt worth losing real talent over

    ReplyDelete
  23. MikeyMike, WitnessNovember 3, 2014 at 7:17 AM

But does she have a "mode"?

    ReplyDelete
  24. The Bella's feud is now better than the AJ/Paige feud, which no one here wants to admit.

  25. "What's harder to pick? Avocados or Jalapenos?" #RacismIsFunny

    ReplyDelete
  26. MikeyMike, WitnessNovember 3, 2014 at 7:18 AM

Wait, I thought the Paige and AJ feud was going to be over...that shit is still happening?!

    ReplyDelete
  27. I hate the submissions where people try to get themselves over but that just made me laugh.

    ReplyDelete
  28. "What's your opinion of the Network as a former worker for WWE?"

    ReplyDelete
  29. People really send in shit like that?

    ReplyDelete
  30. All the time.

    ReplyDelete
  31. For all the crap that TNA gets for the Knockouts, at least the feuds are still written somewhat well. WWE Divas are put out there to prep for the next match.

    ReplyDelete
  32. "How did hitting your co-worker affect your legacy?"

    ReplyDelete
  33. I have watched it. He's extremely agile but on the mic, even Jeff Hardy is better than him. I'm not saying that he sucks. What I'm saying is if he joins WWE now, they will ruin him. He should keep doing what he's doing and work on his promos more. He's only going to get better in time.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Filming a movie has to take more than three weeks, right? So would Orton come back for Survivor Series (and maybe the next night's Raw), then not appear again until close to TLC?

    ReplyDelete
  35. Bah, "Brie Mode" is what I do when I enter the hipster cheese section of the supermarket.

    ReplyDelete
  36. So you're saying, "What's a matter, Esse? Don't you know I'm loco?" is a possibility?

    ReplyDelete
  37. In French, Brie Mode is Cheese Fashion.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Well. We both went for a cheese comment at the exact same second.

    ReplyDelete
  39. WHATEVAH!

:: Talk to the hand gesture ::

    #BRIEMODE

    ReplyDelete
  40. In fact, you could take it a step further - had Cena/Orton not had their "#1 contenders match", Orton would get a tremendous reaction coming out as the surprise, and BOOM, you've got your next challenger for Brock. A fresh matchup, a legit threat, and a logical pairing (since Orton never did get his "rematch" from WM).

This stuff writes itself, and with a little foresight, this would've been a tremendous matchup to promote the Network with. And I don't even like Orton or Brock.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Can we ban the words "To be fair" or "To be honest" from the starting of a post on the BOD?

It's starting to become a pet peeve.

    ReplyDelete
  42. To be honest, it's like looking forward to a Randy Orton match.

    ReplyDelete
  43. I think it's a good disclaimer so that you don't get flamed for saying something.

    ReplyDelete
  44. To be honest, I don't like that idea...

    I Love It!

    ReplyDelete
  45. You could just make sure what your saying isn't something douchebaggy. That would probably fix it.

    ReplyDelete
  46. To be fair, it's a verbal crutch that helps signal disagreement.

    ReplyDelete
  47. This thread needs more Roman Reigns.

"No one remains after Roman Reigns!"

    ReplyDelete
  48. Honestly, to be fair, no.

    ReplyDelete
  49. To be fair, I agree.

    ReplyDelete
  50. There was a person I used to work with whose favourite thing to say at
work was “With all due respect…” then say something completely out of order.
She seemed to think that prefacing her rude statements with that phrase meant
she could say what she wanted. She was s such a cunt.

    ReplyDelete
  51. "The Bella's feud is now better than the AJ/Paige feud, which no one here wants to admit."

That's like saying the shit I just took didn't hurt me as much as the shit I took earlier that felt like a boulder came out of my anus.

    Shit's still shit.....just sometimes it's worse shit.

    ReplyDelete
  52. his moves are very technically sound and he sells well. He's just soooooo painfully slooooooooow. But I will say his work with Reigns at the ppv earlier this summer (not sure which one it was) made me appreciate his ring work more. He led Reigns through that match and let Roman do all his signature spots. It was a very good veteran performance that I'm sure the guys backstage really appreciated.

    ReplyDelete
  53. You worked with Stephanie McMahon?

    ReplyDelete
  54. isn't that the joke about southern women? Say something horrible and insulting about someone but preface it with "bless her heart, but she sure is two biscuits short of a dozen." or "Bless her heart but she's seen more lube jobs than the Muffler man down the street."

    ReplyDelete
  55. Yeah that is like going on a long holier than thou type rant and finishing it with "I am not trying to sound holier than thou but..."

    ReplyDelete
  56. Is this pertaining to Sin Cara or the Cody guy? I just emailed them about it. But I think it's rumored that Sin Cara held up Del Rio at gunpoint during their times in Mexico. Fuck that Cody guy.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Not sure who you mean by Cody, but I was talking about the social media guy that he slapped that got him fired.

    ReplyDelete
  58. It is to some extent just a form of conversational
politeness. Take all these little crutches away and we could just be left with nothing
but John Edwards style comments like “no you’re wrong” and “Um, that didn’t
    happen”.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Hmm.She does do that, doesn't she? Man, I hate her heel character so much.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Not necessarily. We're talking about WWE movies here and they're not exactly expansive productions.

Dean Ambrose was "injured" on the August 18 RAW and returned at Night of Champions on September 21.That was enough time to film Lockdown.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Watching the Edge and Christian Smackdown special. It's interesting that they mentioned Hogan and Edge winning the tag belts, but not that they lost them to....Lance Storm and Christian.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Will Andy PG make his return tonight?

    ReplyDelete
  63. TNA should start its own film division. It can't possibly be any worse than its wrestling product.

    ReplyDelete
  64. self shot movies of people working their day jobs at sunglass hut?

    ReplyDelete
  65. Most of their backstage segments look like found-footage horror movie filmed in a $500 budget.

    ReplyDelete
  66. I'm still not done reading his recap from 2 weeks ago. 3/4 of the way.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Probably because no one in the WWE Universe knows who the heck Lance Storm is.

    ReplyDelete
  68. That's a damn shame.

  69. "How did hitting your co-worker affect you destiny."

    ReplyDelete
  70. His blog is good, he's been reviewing former Clash shows lately. Good insight.

    ReplyDelete
  71. He's always good, if SOMEtimes a little boring, with Bryan Alvarez on the Observer site podcasts

    He loves smarks.

    ReplyDelete
  75. i love how Storm, Jim Ross and Punk, 3 clear smark darlings, clearly all hate smarks. Oh the irony.

    ReplyDelete
  76. Will reigning over WWE be a consequence of defeating the King of Kings?

    ReplyDelete
  77. MikeyMike, WitnessNovember 3, 2014 at 7:52 AM

Has anyone outside of Fuj ever gotten his name mentioned on a Youshoot submission?

    ReplyDelete
  78. No, because "The belt will explain why Roman Reigns!"

    ReplyDelete
  79. I'm going to take a crack at the Raw write up tonight. I'll post it up in the forums for no one to see. AndyPG can't keep it up forever and it looks like there is a cozy Raw recapper spot ripe for the picking.

    ReplyDelete
  80. I was always annoyed back in the day when Storm would criticize the product and someone would say LANCE STORM NEVER DREW A DIME HE DOESN'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT SPORTS ENTERTAINMENT! Unless he was criticizing TNA, then it was a valid opinion.

    ReplyDelete
  81. Reigns really shouldn’t speak. Have Heyman
turn on Brock to join “the future” Roman Reigns and then Heyman can do all his
    talking for him. Book it!

    ReplyDelete
  82. Yep, and the awesome irony is, the person who claims he never draw a dime.... Probably also never drew a dime in wrestling. There is a hell of a difference between "big draw as a performer" and "great booking mind".

    ReplyDelete
  83. I think his name is Cody. I'm too lazy to google it tho.

    ReplyDelete
  84. Ross & Punk seem anti-social in general.
Storm seems like a good guy.

    ReplyDelete
  85. He did that once with the Big Show in 2002. That damn Heyman! Brock should not trust him.

    ReplyDelete
  86. YOU'LL GET BAYLESS AND LIKE IT!

    ReplyDelete
  87. Yes, it's Cody Barbieri

    ReplyDelete
  88. Well at least during her 2000-2002 run. All the McMahons would say it. That and "IN THE INTEREST OF FAIRNESS!"

    ReplyDelete
  89. I'M JONESING FOR A SHOOT RECAP, BROTHER. POSTTTTTTTT IT NOW JDFSGFJHSDGFJHGSJFGJSDFS

I'd be if I wrote that many words every week.

    ReplyDelete
  95. I was away but he apparently had a tough go in the Hell in a Cell thread.

    ReplyDelete
  96. Storm lost his right to criticize for two reason. The first is that awful chair shot at Barely legal. Second is a career filled with the worst worked punches in the business.

    ReplyDelete
  97. I've heard him own up to how bad that chair shot was before

    ReplyDelete
  98. Q'n'D: How does it rate to the other shoots?

Gotta think he's seen a lot, both as a ref and a performer, plus racism.

    ReplyDelete
  99. Well he picked fights with everyone.

    ReplyDelete
  100. It comes out tomorrow. Its brand new

    ReplyDelete
  101. Slow news day.

    This just in:

An intern on the set of condemned 2 will have Orton shit in his bag.

    ReplyDelete
  102. Speaking of Randy Orton, here's an interesting challenge: you work for WWE, either the PR department or writing. You catch wind of this "RKO out of nowhere" meme going around. You bring it to Vince and he wants to capitalize on it, but decides to let you call the shots on how.

What do you do with it?

Personally, I would highlight the five best entries, giving the creator of the video credit, and show them on the show. Maybe for a week or two, have Orton just randomly (Randyly?) come out of nowhere to RKO someone like Austin used to stun people out of nowhere back in the day. Like, remember when Austin interrupted matches sometimes (I think building up to the 98 Rumble) and stun both guys?

    ReplyDelete
  103. To be fair, we could. But to be honest we won't. Not for nothing, but good on you for trying.

    ReplyDelete
  104. I don’t think they really can capitalize on it. A genius PR
department would have been quietly behind it from the beginning. If that came
out, I’d give them serious props.

    ReplyDelete
  105. OK, I just looked at his comments. I don't know why so many people who start posting here eventually melt down. It is inexplicable.

    ReplyDelete
  106. Did Kyle Fitta get banned or something? His comments are saying they've been deleted.

    ReplyDelete
  107. It's too bad Orton's not on TV (ugh I can't believe I just typed that) because the backstage possibilities are endless.

Have him dress up as a soda machine, a couch, any other object, and just RKO guys out of nowhere.

    ReplyDelete
  108. At the end of the day, basically, people are gonna do what they're gonna do. It's like anything else. #zerocontentcomments

    ReplyDelete
  109. Something like that. He apologized about something in the Sunday thread. Maybe under a new account?

    ReplyDelete
  110. They should have put the title on Hogan while he was there.

    ReplyDelete
  111. That sounds like a challenge.

    ReplyDelete
  112. Must be. I went to the HIAC thread where he and Andy bickered nonstop and Kyle's name is gone. The only account that comes up in a search shows posts from three months ago.

    ReplyDelete
  113. He got "Benoit'd" from the Blog's archives?

    ReplyDelete
  114. Looks that way.

    ReplyDelete
  115. Eric Matthews in Season 7, when he wanted revenge on Topanga!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  116. I think he personally attacked another poster which lead to it. I don't know many details though.

    ReplyDelete
  117. Some of those videos were from various pro sports, like soccer, so you'd have a hard time securing the rights to use the footage. The rest would probably work.

However, this whole thing would depend on WWE having a sense of humor about itself, which it doesn't, as evidenced by that one cartoon they did disappearing off the face of the earth.

    ReplyDelete
  118. He posted up a private picture of Abeyance1 using a fake John Edwards name. Bayless checked out the IP address and it matched with Kyle Fitta. Bayless gave him about 100 chances to come clean and admit he did it, he didn't, so Bayless banned him. Fitta came back under another account saying that it wasn't him and there was some glitch that caused the IP's to match.

    ReplyDelete
  119. That episode was a bit TOO cartoonish, even for goofy Eric. Oh well, still an awesome show.

    ReplyDelete
  120. Oh dear. Could have at least said he was hacked.

    ReplyDelete
  121. "His twitter account was hacked?"

    ReplyDelete
  122. Yeah, I shouldn't enjoy the fact that he basically became a cartoon character, but he did such a good job that I didn't care. Apparently he's agoraphobic and doesn't get out much. Shame.

    ReplyDelete
  123. That was the underwhelming DDP like reveal I was hoping for.

    ReplyDelete
  124. Have him dressed as a cameraman and then right in the middle of the match, boom, RKO.

Actually, I just thought of something: the announce tables seem to be pretty hollow, right? Imagine someone hiding inside that and popping out to surprise whoever they're after.

    ReplyDelete
  125. Watch out for the bats and prospective tape traders in there.

Uh oh, gonna have to read his post more, didn't even notice.

    ReplyDelete
  130. Are you attempting to drive AndyPG insane then take his job? This sounds like conspiracy to me!

    ReplyDelete
  131. Aka, a casket?

    ReplyDelete
  132. Are there enough people featured on TV right now to do more that two team matches? I suppose the Divas will bump it up to 3. I mean Team Cena has to be him, Ziggler, Sheamus & the Usos, right? Versus Rollins, Kane, Cesaro & the Dust Brothers. Then Miz, Mizdow, Mark Henry, Rusev... uh, already the teams are getting pretty random. Big Show, Swagger... Kofi? Oh, Bo Dallas could be on a team. Los Matadors? Maybe Ryback is on Team Cena. Don't confuse this speculation on my part as interest. I don't really want to see any of the matchups they come up with, I'm just mildly interested in seeing how many of these teams don't look like names pulled out of a hat.

I blame being too late in my teens when Survivor Series came along. It's just never been a big favorite of mine. I hate the idea that all the babyfaces are somehow friends, as are the heels, and you can naturally pair them off into like-minded teams. And the matches themselves were usually weak, as guys would get pinned way too quickly or easily, or counted out or somesuch if they were being protected. And early on it meant a major show where the titles usually weren't defended, and no running feuds or storylines would be resolved.

Back to this year's show, these teams are going to feel pretty random, and there's no stakes to anything. Unless they add the stip that Cena loses his titleshot if his team loses. It's another case of a gimmick PPV being on the yearly schedule and having to go through with it even though nothing in the current storylines called for it.

    ReplyDelete
  133. MikeyMike, WitnessNovember 3, 2014 at 8:32 AM

Apparently it's in the Forum that he's going crazy.

    ReplyDelete
  134. It's deliberate as well, they didn't used to look like that. I think they think it gives things a raw, real feel, but it just looks cheap and sloppy. I remember once seeing Dixie give a promo to the screen, then saying “Okay, is the camera off? Good.” And then she’d go into evil character mode. It didn’t look like some shocking reveal, it just made it seem like TNA can’t do a professional TV show.

    ReplyDelete
  145. I'm not sure how it happened, but the Bellas have somehow become the best Divas on RAW. Especially Nikki. Maybe confidence having come from being so naturally suited to playing a heel? I dunno, maybe it's just that all the other Divas have gotten so bad. The whole AJ/Paige feud... Jesus.

I've been staff at a few shows that Lance booked while in PWA, one of the nicest dudes I have ever met. Professional as hell and loves to talk business.

Had a 10-15 minute conversation about his "No bump match" with Jerry Lynn. He said they had a few of them as a challenge to Paul E.

  160. I'll say it outright. As goofy as it is, bad acting and all, it's become far superior to AJ/Paige. I mean that feud has made zero sense since day one. "I like you. Actually I'm attracted to you. Oh wait, no I really hate you. But I'm pretending to like you. Oh now you like me? Oh no you hate me too. No wait, we're best friends. Not really? Is this mind games? We've hot potatoed the title, shouldn't we be wrestling other people? Oh, we'll just have them be our friends too. Now we hate them. Just kidding. But seriously, I hate you. Has it really been six months of this?

  161. They just glitch and now my IP looks like someone else's.

  162. Agreed 100%. In doing the rewatch for the site, he just dominates those episodes. Like, immediately out of the gate.

  163. Huh. I was hoping it would be someone interesting to fuck with. I don't know or care about Kyle Fitta, shame.

  164. 20000 words at least.

  165. Wouldn't have been a bad idea. They could've used the publicity.

  167. The first episode is literally ALL George. No disrespect to Homer but he better recognize the uncrowned champ.

  168. Yeah no they don't. Only possible alibi is if somehow someone got his IP address, and used a program to mask their own to appear as his... but that is a lot of effort for a lame prank.

  169. This is a great idea, AndyPG is a monster and you're funny so at least the reviews would have some kind of entertainment value.

  170. And if they did that....wouldn't they make it John Edwards IP since that's who they were pretending to be? lol

  171. You're not allowed to use the Raw Report solely as a forum to attack Vince Jordan though, sir.

And when writing recaps for a match, don't put part 1 and 2 if a commercial break happens in between.

  173. Maybe someone really wanted him gone. Did anyone have a grudge against him?

  174. It's the stupid AJ/Paige/Random Other Diva involved biweekly 'feud' where they're all CRAZY and thus the writers don't have to do anything. How they're pissing away a potential star like Paige now deserves more scorn.

  175. It appears this strike wasn't very well thought out.

    ReplyDelete
  176. If it helps, George getting screwed kind of fits his character anyway.

  177. George=Bret Hart?

    ReplyDelete
  178. I hope that he will be a star.

  179. Costanza getting defeated by a cartoon "But he doesn't even exist Jerry!" is it's own kind of perfect ending.
