They say undisclosed injury as if it didn't happen in the ring, but more like it happened someplace else.......

    ReplyDelete
  2. I never use the word "buried", merely because it's an overused term and commonly misused, but Del Rio never fully recovered after he lost to Edge and then they destroyed his car to add insult to injury.

    ReplyDelete
  3. Forgot to add that it was a minor injury too

    ReplyDelete
  4. RF Video usually has a good Black Friday sale. I might pick this one up

    ReplyDelete
  5. Totally forgot their is a RoH PPV tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Exactly. I think ACH is in the main event

    ReplyDelete
  7. Ouch, Massachusetts is building a really poor reputation.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Agreed. He not only lost, but Edge countered out of his then unbreakable finisher. Hell, even when HBK beat Chris Masters in 2005, he couldn't get out of the Masterlock, he had to get to the ropes. Edge just countered the arm breaker as if it was an arm bar. CRED LOST.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Fuck that, not spending $35 for it.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Was that finish at Mania changed just as a swerve? It didn't make sense on the night, and a week or so later it REALLY didn't make much sense.

    ReplyDelete
  11. I think it was changed cause they knew Edge was done.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Ricardo said in his shoot that Del Rio was originally supposed to win too. But because of it being Edge's last match, they changed the finish. I view Edge as someone who has a smart mind, so it puzzles me that he agreed with that finish. He should have made Del Rio look like a million bucks on his way out.

One of those 2 has to be the reason.

    ReplyDelete
  14. I guess it was nice they did that for Edge, but come on. Whatever happened to the "Time honoured tradition" Vince?

    ReplyDelete
  15. "Yep Mode" Abeyance Brown ©November 15, 2014 at 9:47 AM

It died the moment Bret refused to drop the title in Montreal.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Bret screwed Del Rio :(

    ReplyDelete
  17. It would be hilarious if ACH won the RoH title.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Hey, better than the overrated bigot they have the title on now.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Huh, thought Edge didn't know 'til after Mania. Wasn't that general thought at the time? Doctor before the match, but results after?

    ReplyDelete
  20. According to Ricardo, he found out a few days before Mania.

    ReplyDelete
  21. I'm about to buy a ticket to WrestleMania. Figure if I don't go I can end up just selling it.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Stranger in the AlpsNovember 15, 2014 at 9:55 AM

So I'm watching Wrestlemania IV last night, and I have to add this:

the match between Jake Roberts and Rick Rude was a good match. It has gotten dumped on over time as being boring, but I disagree. There are a couple of reverse headlock spots but they are not too prolonged that it drags the match down. It goes back and forth quite a bit, but the only thing it was lacking was a countdown to the time limit expiring. That would have given it some urgency at the end.

I would give the match ***. Much better over time.

    ReplyDelete
  23. It's not bad. But I think there's a boredom zone that show takes you to that is very difficult to come out of, no matter how good some individual parts are.

    ReplyDelete
  24. You sure? 50 cents per flippity flop!

    ReplyDelete
  25. Lol hell no. And I'm not going to stream. I don't have anything but an IPAD and a phone so it wouldn't be very enjoyable.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Sadly, it was about a month BEFORE their heated feud over Jake's wife. So it was just kind of a random match.

    ReplyDelete
  27. In regards to what ?

    ReplyDelete
  28. Better than Elgin

    ReplyDelete
  29. Stranger in the AlpsNovember 15, 2014 at 9:59 AM

I think the crowd dies about halfway through the show, and they don't recover until Macho hits the elbow on DiBiase.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Tickets on sale now!!!! Hurry and buy them baby!

    ReplyDelete
  31. If only they had some sort of... Network, where you could watch it on your Ipad, and would have to pay about 3.5x less than their asking price...

    ReplyDelete
  32. Elgin exposed himself once he started wrestling long matches.

    ReplyDelete
  33. The rumour I heard was boob job

    ReplyDelete
  34. I only started watching rasslin' around 2 months after WM 4, but it must have been a hell of a shock for everyone watching it live when Hogan/Andre both got eliminated. I'm guessing, especially for marks, that the Winner of that match was a foregone conclusion to win the title.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Too far. Rather spend 9.99 than 999.99 and freeze my ass of.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I remember thinking that it was going to come down to DiBiase and Savage, and thinking that DiBiase still had a shot.

    ReplyDelete
  37. They must have been pissed. To go in there expecting 3 Hogan matches and ending up with a 4 minute double DQ and both are out.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Cool thing with the power rankings. Reminds me a bit of the WCW top ten.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I'm only spending $500; I've never been out there so taking a week long vacation by myself will be enjoyable.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Well, $500 per ticket. The trip itself will probably be around two grand.

    ReplyDelete
  41. FYI: You're gonna have to drive far away from San Fran if you want to go to the beach.

    ReplyDelete
  42. No desire to go to a Beach. Just going to cruise San Jose and San Fran.

    ReplyDelete
  43. You said Adam Cole would be in NXT until 2015, let's see if that prediction is right.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Gonna watch all the WWF stuff I can from 1992 today

    ReplyDelete
  45. He is a dumb oaf

    ReplyDelete
  46. It would be awesome if he won the title. ACH is young, exciting, and plays the baby face part perfectly in matches. He's very close to making the leap from fun wrestler to consistent 4 star plus matches.

I know he's not going to win it yet, but it would be cool if he did. The Briscoe/Cole match at FB seems to be what the company has built itself around.

    ReplyDelete
  47. My suspicion is that they knew well before Mania. Christian was getting involved in the storyline in the weeks leading up to WM27 and there were rumours the match would be made into a three-way dance. In hindsight, Christian was probably there in case Edge really couldn't go, but in the end Edge toughed it out for (pardon the pun) one more match.

The "had a doctor's appointment after Mania" thing was probably just a public excuse to get WWE off the hook for allowing a guy with a severely messed-up neck to wrestle.

    ReplyDelete
  48. I'm kinda shocked Cole isn't in NXT yet...

    ReplyDelete
  49. Adam "Colorado" CurryNovember 15, 2014 at 10:12 AM

I think that was me, and he should be in NXT.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Bought a riser seat for $450. Looks like it will be a good seat. Tickets are a little pricier this year.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Adam "Colorado" CurryNovember 15, 2014 at 10:12 AM

Better than that piece of shit Jay Briscoe, that's for sure.

    ReplyDelete
  52. He has the 98 Shawn charisma, no way WWE is gonna lose that guy.

    ReplyDelete
  53. ACH does a Kamehameha as one of his moves, and that guy is charisma machine.

    ReplyDelete
  54. True. Why haven't they moved past him yet?

    ReplyDelete
  55. ...no there isn't. There is a live event that will be up on demand after the show. Their next traditional ppv isn't until FB in December.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Adam "Colorado" CurryNovember 15, 2014 at 10:15 AM

At this point they'll take whoever they can get.

    ReplyDelete
  57. It's online. It's $15, not $35

Final Battle will be 35 on pay per view next month.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Yeah, figured it would get a good discussion going.

    ReplyDelete
  59. I'm guessing because the Briscoes are the face of ROH. They're insanely loyal to it and they always draw. I think with all the Elgin issues, they kinda wanted to stabilize the title and stuck it on a guy they know wouldn't leave tomorrow. He'll just make homophobic comments on Twitter instead.

    ReplyDelete
  60. They should've kept the belt on Elgin until FB, then the winner of SOFT Aj Styles challenges him and takes the belt.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Too bad this doesn't have JR comparing the wrestlers to football players :(

    ReplyDelete
  62. Probably because it's not a ppv (you can't even watch it live) so why would they blow through a top contender

    ReplyDelete
  63. That is pricy but enjoy.

Mania is on my bucket list but not this year. Ive spent all my money on a condo and a vacation.

    ReplyDelete
  64. He's getting the TV from Lethal if Evans doesn't win.

    ReplyDelete
  65. That was likely the plan, but Elgin kinda forced their hand there. Guy's going to be as unemployable as Davey and Aries at this rate....

    ReplyDelete
  66. I almost went to WM 29.

    ReplyDelete
  67. That's bad because I enjoy his work, his win over Cole at Best in the world was a feel good moment.

    ReplyDelete
  68. You lost nothing.

    ReplyDelete
  69. Currently who do you think will play each other in the Superbowl?

    ReplyDelete
  70. Nope. It wasn't worth the 6 hour trip or the 90 dollars.

    ReplyDelete
  71. I'm watching the Moondogs return to Memphis, what started as Moondogs/Fuller & Some guy became Moondogs/Fuller & Jarrett, and is now becoming Moondogs/Jarrett & Lawler.

    ReplyDelete
  72. When he has the right opponent and isn't forced to carry a match on his own, he's great. Did you see the match between him and Tomoso Ciampa at BOLA '14? That's the kind of match he needs to have more often. But yeah, he could be great if he could get his head out of his ass.

    ReplyDelete
  73. That card sucked. I think only watched Punk/Taker and the main event.

    ReplyDelete
  74. That was a good HOSS Division fight.

    ReplyDelete
  75. I'd do the math, but then I realize I'd be supporting a bad Vince Jordan joke. And NOBODY should find themselves in that position.

    ReplyDelete
  76. Patriots vs. Packers.

    ReplyDelete
  77. That or Patriots/Cowboys would be my Meteor Game.

    ReplyDelete
  78. Adam "Colorado" CurryNovember 15, 2014 at 10:24 AM

    And the main was shit.

    ReplyDelete
  79. I was there and it kinda sucked. The Del Rio/Swagger and HHH/Lesnar matches killed the crowd dead. It was around then it started to get cold and no one really wanted to be there anymore. I'm happy I went, but I wouldn't do an outdoor stadium show again.

    ReplyDelete
  80. The NFC is one big coin-flip right now. So, I just went with the team with the best QB, can play in any condition, and can get hot at the end of the season.

    ReplyDelete
  81. It was good to see Superman getting booed out of the building.

    ReplyDelete
  82. I still wish "Cena Sucks" in tune to his theme would have taken off.

    ReplyDelete
  83. Adam "Colorado" CurryNovember 15, 2014 at 10:26 AM

That was one of the few matches where I was pulling for Cena, because fuck this part-timer bullshit.

    ReplyDelete
  84. Adam "Colorado" CurryNovember 15, 2014 at 10:27 AM

AJ isn't getting the belt, nor should he. And I don't think he even wants it.

    ReplyDelete
  85. Oh, guess I misread something

    ReplyDelete
  86. Honky Tonk Man and Randy Savage produced some of the most unintentionally hilarious promos of all time. "East of the Pacific, west of London, south of Saturn and north of Hell, Ooh Yeah!"

Can't discount Honky's "I'll be Elizabeth's teddy bear, and Randy Savage is going to the Gheeeeet-O!" either. Cocaine is a hell of a drug...

    ReplyDelete
  87. I'm cramming some old SNME shows before Mississippi State-Alabama.

    ReplyDelete
  88. Who had a better year in 1992, WCW or WWF?

Let's not forget WCW that year had The Dangerous Alliance.

    ReplyDelete
  89. I feel bad for Eva Marie. She's the future of women's wrestling.

    ReplyDelete
  90. WCW by a hair. Both were awesome.

    ReplyDelete
  91. That means they'll give him the title in five years then.

    ReplyDelete
  92. Two Flair title wins, the Rumble itself, Flair/Savage and Piper/Bret at Mania, Summerslam 92, Bret Hart hitting the main event, Shawn Michaels as a single, I gotta give it to the WWF. WCW had it's really awesome moments, but it was also ungodly boring for much of the year under Watts.

    ReplyDelete
  93. Error 404, sarcasm meter in overload.

    ReplyDelete
  94. That's a tough one.

    ReplyDelete
  95. Didn't Cena even play along with that a few weeks ago? like an orchestra director? I like how he doesn't take himself too seriously.

    ReplyDelete
  96. Broncos vs. Cowboys for the ultimate lulz

    ReplyDelete
  97. I don't watch much college football, but Alabama is a favorite right? I think it does make sense, as they are playing at home, plus they are like the Spurs, they are ALWAYS dangerous in high profile games, while Mississippi State might get stage fright.

    ReplyDelete
  98. "Yep Mode" Abeyance Brown ©November 15, 2014 at 10:41 AM

Sadly, I'm sure Dunn feels that way and it makes me sick.

    ReplyDelete
  99. Seriously, how can ROH still keep Jay Briscoe in there, that guy is lunatic. Last year it wasn't the first time he did homophobic tweets.

    ReplyDelete
  100. I have no idea how the hell he's a two time World Champion.

    ReplyDelete
  101. I have "loved to hate" peyton manning for his entire pro career, so I hope he comes up short again this year. But every time he wins, i'm like "damn that guy's good".

    ReplyDelete
  102. Fuck, where's Kyle's main event push?

    ReplyDelete
  103. WCW was better up until around September. Probably take WWF in the Fall.

    ReplyDelete
  104. "Yep Mode" Abeyance Brown ©November 15, 2014 at 10:43 AM

He's learned to roll with the crowd.

    ReplyDelete
  105. I wish she stuck with the black hair. Wowzers.

    ReplyDelete
  106. Adam "Colorado" CurryNovember 15, 2014 at 10:43 AM

He's over as hell and is just about the only draw the company has left.

    Still, fuck that bigot shitbag.

    ReplyDelete
  107. Did something just happen?

    ReplyDelete
  108. Same, don't hate her with red either but she's better with the raven color. Happy she never went blonde.

    ReplyDelete
  109. Briscoe should realize that being the face of the company is about responsabilty and also learn that are young people that are gay and enjoy wrestling, if they read this they will probably feel wrong about their sexuality.

    ReplyDelete
  110. Just exposing my hatred for Jay Briscoe.

    ReplyDelete
  111. He acts the way he does and is World Champion. Why would he change his ways? Briscoes could've been in WWE or TNA or even NJPW but instead they are stuck in ROH because of their lack of professionalism and common sense.

    ReplyDelete
  112. At least Styles probably keeps these things to himself. It's amazing how people defend their hate speech by saying "it's only my opinion".

    ReplyDelete
  113. A few hours. Del Rio tells a similar story of finding out 2 hours before the show.

    ReplyDelete
  114. Adam "Colorado" CurryNovember 15, 2014 at 10:47 AM

I hope both his kids end up being gay.

    ReplyDelete
  115. The ultimate irony.

    ReplyDelete
  116. Adam "Colorado" CurryNovember 15, 2014 at 10:48 AM

He's in the main event of the ROH PPV tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  117. "Yep Mode" Abeyance Brown ©November 15, 2014 at 10:48 AM

But will he put the blame on the "White Music"?

    ReplyDelete
  118. On paper, this looks like it'll be the best NXT PPV so far.

    ReplyDelete
  119. Adam "Colorado" CurryNovember 15, 2014 at 10:49 AM

Probably all dem damn queers on dem that there TV shows.

    ReplyDelete
  120. Do they have 25 wrestlers to rank?

    ReplyDelete
  121. What's so good about the main event is that Neville is not a full blown heel, rather a opportunistic guy.

    ReplyDelete
  122. "Yep Mode" Abeyance Brown ©November 15, 2014 at 10:51 AM

I know they won't due to the network, but I would love for them to release either the NXT specials, or a best of NXT DVD one day with all of these great matches they have.

    ReplyDelete
  123. "Eva is currently out of action with an undisclosed minor injury."

    .........

...from doing WHAT? She never wrestles any more.

    ReplyDelete
  124. Adam "Colorado" CurryNovember 15, 2014 at 10:52 AM

Me too, that way I can see them.

    ReplyDelete
  125. I skimmed through it, it includes divas and tag teams also. Kane is #25, with a comment that he's in danger of falling off completely! OH NOES!!

    ReplyDelete
  126. Adam "Colorado" CurryNovember 15, 2014 at 10:53 AM

This is where I'd normally make a joke about plowing her, but I have no idea what she even looks like.

    ReplyDelete
  127. "Yep Mode" Abeyance Brown ©November 15, 2014 at 10:54 AM

That was a perfect moment though. Sami just lost the title match because of a quick roll up, and afterwords while still in shock, Neville crawls up to him to pretty give him a semi heelish pat on the back/" You did good" vibe.

    ReplyDelete
  128. Sami wins at Takeover, Neville gets a rematch and loses. After the rematch Kevin Steen appears and attacks Zayn.

    ReplyDelete
  129. "Yep Mode" Abeyance Brown ©November 15, 2014 at 10:58 AM

It's gonna be interesting, since Zayn treats Generico like he was a completely different person.

    ReplyDelete
  130. Steen grabs the mic after the attack and says, "guess who's here now?"

    ReplyDelete
  131. FUCK YEAH, K7! Swing, batterbatterbatterbatterbatter, swing!

    ReplyDelete
  136. She looks like a fembot.

    ReplyDelete
  137. Bill Cosby's newest special is called Far From Finished, but considering he's being dropped from appearances left and right, I think that title was tempting fate

    ReplyDelete
  138. HHH let's him do it, he seems to be his new gym partner.

    ReplyDelete
  139. HowmuchdoesthisguyweighNovember 15, 2014 at 11:06 AM

Still hoping network puts ovw, fcw and older NXT stuff up.

    ReplyDelete
  140. I don't know what's less appealing: her Hogan tan, Ronald McDonald hair, or her apparent lack of talent in anything (yet somehow is on the main roster even though there's a bunch of talented ladies in NXT who can wipe the floor with her)

    ReplyDelete
  141. All three.

    ReplyDelete
  142. OVW would be great. I always heard great things about Cornette and Heyman's booking down there.

    ReplyDelete
  143. Adam "Colorado" CurryNovember 15, 2014 at 11:11 AM

    Yeah, I'm good.

    ReplyDelete
  144. Since returning from injury, NXT star Solomon Crowe has been doing a gimmick where he taps his head with the microphone to encourage fans to clap for him.

Who invited Vince McMahon in a NXT meeting?

    ReplyDelete
  145. Hannibal Buress has finished him.

    ReplyDelete
  146. Letting him do his gimmick of the indies, make him and Steen a tag.

    ReplyDelete
  147. Best slate of tunes in a few days. I voted for Cube, Pearl Jam, PE, Biggie and K7.

    ReplyDelete
  150. I still can't believe that Road Dogg is the head writer of WWE. It's time to start questioning HHH's decisions.

    ReplyDelete
  151. We'll always have those threads.

    ReplyDelete
  152. He is?

I thought he was just a road agent?

    ReplyDelete
  160. CM Punk's whole situation is weird.

    ReplyDelete
  161. He's coming back....wahahahahaha.

    ReplyDelete
  162. I thought he was just gonna shoot all over the place about the WWE, instead he's looking for other things to do and barely mentions WWE.

    ReplyDelete
  163. Other than random appearances and going to Blackhawk games, what does he do?

    ReplyDelete
  164. Adam "Colorado" CurryNovember 15, 2014 at 11:26 AM

There IS a bit of a difference in leaving to go to another promotion and going into retirement due to injury. Look at Trish Stratus, she retired as Women's Champ, too.

  182. I was living in Cincinnati while Heyman was booking OVW and it was incredible. He totally "got" CM Punk and booked him perfectly. Punk's feud with the Spirit Squad was actually really good and I kinda remember one with Brent Albright that was really good.

My girlfriend and I just dropped $1,090 on tickets to Guadalajara, Mexico in March for a wedding. Fly in on Friday night, wedding on Saturday, driving to the beach for a week on Sunday.

No WrestleMania for me this year.

  184. Our office printers are all named after Simpsons characters; the printer in my bullpen area is Duffman, so anytime someone asks me if I sent such-and-such to Duffman, I of course respond OHHHH YEEEAAHH

Working the weekend sucks, hopefully the catering is good today. Last week was Jimmy John's (bleh) and deep dish pizza (better).

  186. I saw him live back in like 2000 and he was great. He was walking that line back then, too, but the stuff he was saying was so ridiculous it was impossible not to laugh. I had no idea if he was trying to be funny or going senile, but it was gold either way.

Have to agree, although both had a bunch of great stuff going on in 1992. But WCW had Liger-Pillman, the War Games match, the start of the Sting-Vader feud, the first Black World Heavyweight champ, Sting-Cactus Jack and just a bunch of really fun stuff. Totally redeemed them from 1991.
