Daniel Bryan Update

Right now there is no timetable for Bryan's return. The company is hoping that he is able to regain the strength in his right arm without surgery. Bryan himself said he is hopeful to return in January to set up a program for WrestleMania.

Roman Reigns Update

According to PWInsider.com, Reigns is expected to be back in the ring in time for the WWE Holiday Tour. He is currently advertised for the December 20th show in Sioux Falls, SD and the December 27th show in Cincinnati, OH where he will face Rusev for the U.S. Title.

Carter, who recently tore his bicep, underwent surgery yesterday. He could be out of action for up to six months.

Brad Maddox Update

Maddox, who had his WWE.com profile moved to the Alumni section of the website, has not been fired and remains with the company. His profile was switched over to that section so they can play off of the fact that he was fired on TV.

  1. With all the cutbacks at WWE, the question on everyone's mind is....

Why isn't Brad Maddox WWE Champion?

    Sorry, wrong card....

Whose dick did Brad Maddox blow to keep his job?

    There we go.

    ReplyDelete
  2. Was wondering when MC Hammer would make an appearance. Another strong list today

    ReplyDelete
  3. I wonder if Daniel Bryan can give himself a "mysterious stranger" any time he wants with his numb arm?

Sometimes there are really important questions in life.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Christ, Daniel if you had the other surgery in early summer you'd be ready to go, this hippie the moon goddess will heal me shit is literally costing you millions.

    ReplyDelete
  5. You know, I'm in my 30's. I've got a wife, 2 kids, a mortgage, a full time job, 2 cars, 2 cars, and a meat freezer in my basement. Maybe I'm just too old for this shit. Maybe it isn't for me and it isn't being made for me. It may just be time to accept that. The inly joy I find in the product is complaining about it online and getting into bickering wars over the direction of the company with other fully grown men. This can't be healthy. This is what crazy people do.

I need to just hit the DDP yoga hard and try to get my mind and body to where I need them.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Nobody wants to go under the knife. He took a chance, and it didn't pay off, that's all. It's not like he's sacrificing goats in his basement or something.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Brad Maddox was "fired" 6 months ago. Way to keep up wwe.com!

    ReplyDelete
  8. Vince has probably just gotten round to visiting the website for the first time after learning the Internet is on computers now.

    ReplyDelete
  9. I get what you're saying. But what i like about this blog is we don't JUST talk about wrestling. We can all pretty much talk about anything under the sun and have (mostly) adult conversations without acting like a bunch of dickholes. Even when debates get a little heated, for the most part we can agree to disagree. It's almost like a big together we're there's bbq and beer involved, and we're all just chillin' and shooting the shit.

Of course that's just my opinion, I could be wrong

    ReplyDelete
  10. Epic TJ: Austin is calling the WM13 GMOAT on his podcast.

Apparently Bret is responsible for that glorious blade job.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Bret originally confirmed it in his book. Apparently Steve had never gigged before and Bret wanted to make it look good because he knew how important the match was.

    ReplyDelete
  12. at the end of the day, it's just a bit of fun. Even if all the crap wrestlers get the pushes, there is enough product to watch and entertain us.

    ReplyDelete
  13. ....And Steve knew that Bret's bladejobs were the greatest bladejobs of all-time. Tears in his eyes, etc.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Your occupational changes confuse and amuse me.

    ReplyDelete
  15. "Apparently Steve had never gigged before"

    Wut?

    ReplyDelete
  16. So a few questions I have regarding this Team Authority vs Team Cena angle.

Why are they even feuding with Cena? Cena is the most corporate guy on the roster. He will do pretty much anything of what he is asked to make the company look good.

How is Vince able to make decisions regarding The Authority(if they lose then they are no longer around) if he apparently no longer has any power in the company?

Why would Rusev join Team Authority since they pretty much hate America? I mean Rusev and Lana are probably more socialist and hate corporations(which would make them hate the authority).

    ReplyDelete
  17. It's tough out there.

    ReplyDelete
  18. I think if you take the product or the blog too seriously, you may want to just get into something else. I'm pretty sure that 2% of what I've posted on here has been at all serious....and that might be generous. I just do it for fun, and because I'm bored at work sometimes.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Why isn't HHH leading his team when so much is on the line for him? The angles shit, top to bottom.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Nothing makes sense. They're telling stories.

    ReplyDelete
  21. They were pretty good blade-jobs, truth be told. WM8 and that match against Bulldog.

    ReplyDelete
  22. The Authority is feuding with John Cena because Cena is pretty much their #1 baby face until the end of time, and baby face vs evil heel GM is pretty much the only story they know how to tell. So that's that.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Yeah that too.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Cutting himself on the forehead with a blade, typically underneath a piece of tape wrapped around a finger. The small slice on the head doesn't usually gush blood, but the sweat from the forehead makes it appear that way. In this instance, the "gigging" looked more gruesome than usual because Austin gigged right on a vein in his head and he was sweating profusely.

    ...There we go.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Why doesn't he just get surgery? Is there a reason I'm missing and not understanding?

He's had this exact same prognosis since June/July

    ReplyDelete
  26. I guess the best bladejobs come when guys cut themselves and even the promoter doesn't know if it was intentional or not.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Vince Jordan said he was going to watch RAW last night and now he's nowhere to be found. I think he might have did himself harm after finally watching what he had steadfastly supported for so long.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Well do it vs Ambrose or somebody else.

    ReplyDelete
  29. They must be drunk

    ReplyDelete
  30. Yeah but the problem is Ambrose isn't John Cena, you see.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I can't figure out why he isn't in the match either. It's a 5 on 5 tag match, It's not like he has to go out and take 20 minutes of bumps

    ReplyDelete
  32. I've been watching wrassling for 3 decades, i know what it means.

Austin had bled several times in his WCW run, i find it very difficult to believe he never bladed in his then 8 year long career.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I really think Vince Jordan's watches only Raws from 1997 and not 2014.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Dude, when you try to look at wrestling logically, no one wins.

    ReplyDelete
  35. But that would help establish Ambrose

    ReplyDelete
  36. I'm thinking that surgery may not even repair the damage, it is more of a "let's try surgery and see if it has an effect" type deal. If he isn't getting strength in his arm, that is probably nerve damage and that is probably permanent. I feel real bad for the guy because if it turns out to be permanent nerve damage, he'll never wrestle again.

    ReplyDelete
  37. I thought all of these before I had my caffeine this morning.

    It hurt my brain. :'(

    ReplyDelete
  38. Maybe they were hardway in WCW?

    ReplyDelete
  39. Yeah I thought that too when I originally read Bret's book. Maybe Steve had bladed before, but wasn't up to Bret's super duper standards?

    ReplyDelete
  40. Yeah but it doesn't help John Cena, and that's a major problem.

    ReplyDelete
  41. He'll tell us today that was have no right to complain about Survivor Series because it is free.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Watch WCW much? Steve's been gigging since the early 90's. He massacred himself at perhaps the most highly rated Wargames in 92 in the opening parts of the match

    ReplyDelete
  43. They need to promote Total Divas some way.

    ReplyDelete
  44. And how Erick Rowan in the main event was a masterful move.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Nobody gets hard way color in Wargames

    ReplyDelete
  46. Where was Cena/everyone else when Ziggler was getting the fuck kicked out of him en route to losing his title? Why wouldn't Ziggler confront Cena about it backstage afterwards? Pure dog shit

    ReplyDelete
  47. Would be so interesting to see the subscriber numbers even after the free month. I'm betting it's actually dropped by several hundred thousand now that they don't force people into 6-month cycles anymore.

    ReplyDelete
  48. I would be PISSED

    ReplyDelete
  49. Same here. I can only look at prints and process sheets for so long before i start to tune out

    ReplyDelete
  50. That could be true. I also think that WWE is withholding information...who knows that the truth actually is?

    ReplyDelete
  51. :( please come back Daniel. That's if you're healthy of course.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Extant1979 - Mr. Cable AccessNovember 18, 2014 at 7:41 AM

He said in Andy's recap that he watched the first two hours before falling asleep, which to me is an accomplishment, since I was in bed by 9:30ish...

    ReplyDelete
  53. I really think Rusev needs to be booked like an unstoppable Ivan Drago and then lose to Val Venis on the Wrestlemania pre show in about 3 minutes.

    ReplyDelete
  54. It sucks dude. He busted his ass for so long and finally made it to the very top, then a month later, goodbye.

    ReplyDelete
  55. It was from Bret's own book. I was just sort of quoting what Bret said rather than believing it.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Is that when Sheamus vs. Big Show was on?

I've never heard a crowd so quiet during a match between to firmly-established guys. It was embarrassing.

    It's not just Liverpool. Vince!

    ReplyDelete
  57. Oh dude you're right. I bet at the end of December at LEAST 30% of current paying subscribers drop out as well as 75-80% of the new "free" subscribers.

WWE treats their PAYING customers like shit. We have to pay for November even though we've been paying customers but Joe Schmo who never had a WWE Network subscription or was a previous subscriber gets a free month, a free PPV, gift cards, referral money, etc. Fuck WWE. Seriously.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Extant1979 - Mr. Cable AccessNovember 18, 2014 at 7:44 AM

Fucking Lenny Kravitz. I can't stand that guy. I think DMB's Crush deserves more play, it's a fantastic song and much better than the band's usual fare, IMO. Glad to see MC Hammer getting some votes, though.

    Such a great tournament.

    ReplyDelete
  59. To be fair, a lot of companies treat their existing customers poorly.

Think of every phone carrier or ISP.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Yeah I mean I was able to just straight up cancel and stop paying my subscription after HiaC, but yeah their subscription policy is a giant mess.

More than anything though the biggest problem is their product sucks and therefore people don't want to watch it, for free or otherwise.

    ReplyDelete
  61. What's up with WWE's obsession with animals lately? Bunnies, gators, bulls, cats....Tyson Kidd even said in a Fallout video last night that there will be an "interspecies" tag match on Main Event tonight. WTF does that even mean?

    ReplyDelete
  62. To be honest, I was exhausted, and basically listened to Show/Sheamus with my eyes closed. Once the run in happened, I turned it off. Not because it was boring, but because I was dead tired. (and yep, i made lots of comments late in Andy's thread)

    ReplyDelete
  63. Why is Rowan on team Cena ? And why did they even accepted him in the first place ?

    ReplyDelete
  64. Crush is a great song, but dammit if he could just play Crash into Me at least once at his concerts that would be great.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Maybe they are catching the Chikara bug now like how they caught the ECW bug in 97

    ReplyDelete
  66. Yep. But let's not let logic and facts get in the way of our blind WWE hating! THEY ARE THE DEVIL!!

    ReplyDelete
  67. Why did they split up the Wyatt Family to begin with?

    ReplyDelete
  68. at the very least, he can thank da lord that he lasted until AFTER Wm. imagine if he was forced to take time off around the Chamber PPV, then he would have had nothing.

    ReplyDelete
  69. Shut the fuck up.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Bunny and Adam Rose vs. Tyson and some other guy, probably.

    ReplyDelete
  71. November is FREE FREE FREE (unless you are a paying customer that actually supports that product financially)

    ReplyDelete
  72. We've all typed an angry comment about something that happened in 1995 and questioned out entire existence afterwards, don't sweat it. Everyone needs an outlet to let out frustration. It's basically harmless. Going into a little safe haven where everyone acts like wrestling is far more important than it is should be a nice little escape from reality. It should always be fun.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Yep, he even said Austin had 2nd thoughts right before the spot, and Bret told him "Too late".

    ReplyDelete
  74. Hahaha, why do you freak out about people criticizing WWE? It's so bizarre.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Extant1979 - Mr. Cable AccessNovember 18, 2014 at 7:51 AM

I have no problems supporting the Network as it is, because for $9.99, I have an infinite amount of background noise whenever I need it, including this current run of watching all the Survivor Series. The current product may be on a downswing, but the Network is a completely different animal.

    ReplyDelete
  76. It truly saddens me that I simply implied that you seemed angry THREE WEEKS AGO, and you are STILL losing your mind over it. Just don't jump off a ledge, ok? :)

    ReplyDelete
  77. To be fair, that's part of the gimmick.

He can be normal, but chooses not to be during these types of discussions.

    ReplyDelete
  78. This is also an excellent answer.

    ReplyDelete
  79. I think they accidentally writen Cena's character for what he actually is

    ReplyDelete
  80. The guy doesn't even watch any of the WWE product at all. He admittedly fell asleep during RAW last night. He blindly supports WWE just to keep up a gimmick on a wrestling blog. It's sad.

    ReplyDelete
  81. Live. Lightning Crashes. Sing along!

Survivor Series 1987 or Survivor Series 1988?

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  85. Lots of hate on here today. :)

Voting is one of the first things I do every morning!

    ReplyDelete
  87. Buy or sell this idea...

Team Cena wins, The Authority is gone, and next week on Raw Vince announces the new GM as Paul Heyman.

Personally I'm done with the heel GM trope no matter who it is, but I guess 20-min Heyman promos > 20-minute HHH promos, so there's that.

    ReplyDelete
  88. 87..I have a soft spot for it since it was my first PPV but it is also a better show.

    ReplyDelete
  89. Extant1979 - Mr. Cable AccessNovember 18, 2014 at 7:54 AM

No kidding. Did you see the war between AndyPG and Worst in the Raw recap? Looks like everyone is taking BoD Raw a little too seriously around here.

    ReplyDelete
  90. Make it be Jack Tunney who seems very hard to get a hold of.

    ReplyDelete
  91. Zombie Jack Tunney?

You're getting a lot of my approval today.

    ReplyDelete
  92. Extant1979 - Mr. Cable AccessNovember 18, 2014 at 7:55 AM

Tough one. The tag team elimination match in 1988 is the better story, but I think 1987 is the better overall show.

    ReplyDelete
  93. Says the guy who uses most of his posts to attack or pick fights with the other posters on the board. Smiley faces don't mean you're not an angry dude, VJ.

    ReplyDelete
  94. "Danny Davis, you are banned for life!! AND DEATH BEYOND!!!"

    ReplyDelete
  95. He mentions on the podcast that Bret was wrong and he'd been getting color since his days in USWA. He said he looked forward to any time a booker asked...what a psycho lol

    ReplyDelete
  96. Commissioner Foley with Noelle as his personal assistant. Mick never turns down an easy payday and if it also helps his daughter get her foot in the door you know he'd be game.

    ReplyDelete
  97. Hogan's team comprised of 3 former heels (Muraco, Patera, Orndorff). Kind of strange.

    ReplyDelete
  98. HAHAHA gotcha VJ. You come here just to critique and pick fights with other posters, yet you're the calm one because you intersperse awful jokes and Simpsons quotes and smiley faces. Riiiiggght. Man, you're a total psycho.

    ReplyDelete
  99. I did, and I purposely stayed out of it. but just here, WITW started it, so it's fair game if I make fun of him today. He is so mentally fragile, lol

    ReplyDelete
  100. My 90's song votes today:

    Can't Touch This
    More Human Than Human
    Fly Away
    Someday I Suppose
    Too Close

    ReplyDelete
  101. it's no Ricky Steamboat & Jay Youngblood workout but it's a solid second place showing.

    ReplyDelete
  102. VJ you're an angry troll, it is what it is bud.

    ReplyDelete
  103. The latter two were with Hogan to get revenge against Heenan. That makes sense. But yeah, its still kinda odd.

    ReplyDelete
  104. Yeah, this was before I started watching, so was there some sort of official segment where Hogan and Orndorff buried the hatchet? Or Hogan reluctantly accepted him as a partner?

    ReplyDelete
  105. Extant1979 - Mr. Cable AccessNovember 18, 2014 at 8:00 AM

And Muraco was there as a replacement for Superstar Billy Graham, who was taken out by OMG.

    ReplyDelete
  106. It's funny how a bad wrestling show causes all of us to fight each other. It's like we have to makeup for the crappy current product by creating our own fights and arguments in a thread.

    ReplyDelete
  107. I mean the current product sucks overall but at that price, its still worth it to watch a PPV show. I have no plans to cancel, either.

And NXT should be really fun going forward too.

    ReplyDelete
  108. Extant1979 - Mr. Cable AccessNovember 18, 2014 at 8:01 AM

No Lightning Crashes? Blasphemy, good sir!

    ReplyDelete
  109. Even my other "rivals" like Jobber, Night, KJBone and "Matinee" bicker with me back and forth, but deep down, it's all in good fun. For you to deny that you are enraged right now is laughable. You have issues me thinks.

    ReplyDelete
  110. Graham never should have came back. He had one TV match in 1986 and could barely walk yet they did several months of vignettes hyping his return.

    ReplyDelete
  111. Extant1979 - Mr. Cable AccessNovember 18, 2014 at 8:02 AM

I'm pretty far behind on NXT, I'll need to catch up before the Dec. 11 show. Those NXT specials are always top notch.

    ReplyDelete
  112. I am a sucker for the Bosstones.

All Over You is my favorite Live song. Not a bifg Lightning Crashes fan.

    ReplyDelete
  113. Goodell suspending Peterson for the rest of the season was a great move. I'd support it being longer. Peterson beating his kid was just awful.

    ReplyDelete
  114. An undercard NXT elimination match, even if it were on the pre show, would be a great idea. Would introduce them to the non-NXT watching audience, sort of a "prospects" match. Hope they squeeze that somewhere.

    ReplyDelete
  115. Extant1979 - Mr. Cable AccessNovember 18, 2014 at 8:03 AM

It was all a secret plan to turn Don Muraco face!

    ReplyDelete
  116. Yeah, that is getting buried.

Still a bit shocked I got Five on It got the shaft from the voters.

    ReplyDelete
  117. wrestlers are a different breed. I just can't imagine purposely slicing myself. I just... can't.

    ReplyDelete
  118. Again, you come here just to insult and pick fights with posters because criticism of WWE gets you all flustered. Smiley faces and lame jokes don't keep you from being an angry psycho VJ.

Embrace your craziness VJ! You are what you are.

    ReplyDelete
  119. I have some 87-88 face Muraco house show matches in my collection and he looked extremely hungover 95% of the time.

    ReplyDelete
  120. Extant1979 - Mr. Cable AccessNovember 18, 2014 at 8:05 AM

I really don't understand why this isn't happening on Sunday. It would accomplish two things: Get the audience familiar with up-and-coming characters and also promote the Network at the same time for those people still paying PPV prices.

    ReplyDelete
  121. that's official? GOOD. Peterson ditching the friday NFL meeting was just so arrogant on his part. At least PRETEND like you are showing remorse.

    ReplyDelete
  122. Even throwing out the NXT Tag Title Match would be fun. Lucha Dragons can get the crowd going.

    ReplyDelete
  123. Yep... that sucks. I think most rap/hip hop is gonna get run off outside of the heavy hitters (Tupac, Dre, Snoop, Biggie...maybe LL).

    ReplyDelete
  124. He is a total sociopath. It's alarming, really.

    ReplyDelete
  125. I guess he can still appeal but they are running out of time.

    ReplyDelete
  126. I wonder if the stuff in Friday Night Lights reflects reality. Aka, high schoolers treated like "above the law gods". No wonder there are so many NFL and College football criminals. They don't know any better.

    ReplyDelete
  127. True. Thing is there are a lot of good songs on these lists. There are only like two sure things each poll.

Love this tournament. You could go with the 80's or even 2000-2009 next.

    ReplyDelete
  128. There's no way it gets reduced or overturned. Appealing it makes him look even less remorseful or caring. The guy is lucky he isn't in prison.

    ReplyDelete
  129. Extant1979 - Mr. Cable AccessNovember 18, 2014 at 8:07 AM

Was it really bad last night? The recap sounded like there was mostly good action going on (and the condensed Hulu version so far is pretty good, too). Sounded like a pretty good go-home show.

    ReplyDelete
  130. I'd give the show about a 2.5/10.

    ReplyDelete
  131. My dad was telling me about a friend of his who got transferred to Texas. The guy apparently was asked a Monday after a game why he did not go to the High School game and he said he was unpacking and after that, they basically ignored him.

If that is how they act about HS football, then I imagine the stars are getting preferential treatment.

    ReplyDelete
  132. Extant1979 - Mr. Cable AccessNovember 18, 2014 at 8:09 AM

Hmm. That doesn't sound too good.

    ReplyDelete
  133. I live in Texas and that statement seems pretty much 100 percent accurate. HS football is like a cult religion here.

    ReplyDelete
  134. Yep, a lot of fun entries... and so many more to come.

I want to do 80s next for sure.

    ReplyDelete
  135. Yeah. I'm in the same boat on the bored at work thing. This is just the worst the product has ever been to me, personally.

    ReplyDelete
  136. funniest thing, the Vikings are a rather respectable 4-6 without him. So there just might be life without Adrien.

    ReplyDelete
  137. Not gonna lie. I'm hoping Can't Touch This makes it far

    ReplyDelete
  138. Ryback/Cesaro had no business going 15 minutes, even if it wasn't a bad match or anything.

Nothing clicked and they just have no hot act right now.

    ReplyDelete
  139. Extant1979 - Mr. Cable AccessNovember 18, 2014 at 8:10 AM

Varsity Blues is a pretty accurate representation, I'd say. Thank God I didn't go to a HS that gave a shit about sports.

    ReplyDelete
  140. I remember Sam from O+A telling a story about going to high school with some guy who became an NBA star (I know nothing of basketball, I forget the name). But everyone knew he was going to be a star, and he barely showed up for classes or did any work in them, and basically every girl in class slept with him at some point because they all wanted to be with the future star. It sounded awful.

    ReplyDelete
  141. As usual, the action wasn't bad at all, but it was the filler that was around it that made it awful and the complete lack of sense in the Survivor Series main event and the build to it.

    ReplyDelete
  142. Agreed... it was a huge song in the 90s... should get a nice run.

    ReplyDelete
  143. Extant1979 - Mr. Cable AccessNovember 18, 2014 at 8:11 AM

I don't understand the "complete lack of sense" comment for the main event. Explain, please.

    ReplyDelete
  144. Their running game is still adequate and goes to show how a good offensive line can make a world of difference.

    ReplyDelete
  145. Translation: "It's not EXACTLY how I would have booked it, so it all sucks, and they are stupid for not hiring me as booker".

    ReplyDelete
  146. I can’t imagine HHH or Steph not being all
over the TV in the run up to Mania. They must win. I presume someone on the
face team turns and joins the Authority. But yeah, Heyman would be better than anybody in that role, but Heyman will always be the McMahons bitch on TV.

I don't think so, not from what I remember (but I was 7 going on 8 at the time, so I might have missed something). The Heenan family turned against Orndorff, so teaming with Hogan was just the logical progression in 1987.

    ReplyDelete
  149. That sounds like a healthy and normal way of thinking. GET OUT.

Maybe, but I seriously was wondering what the complaints were so I could understand why they're upset.

    ReplyDelete
  151. Jesse DID mention during the entrances "Can Hogan trust Orndorff? I'm not sure". And that was about it.

  152. Cena's whole team got beat up one by one throughout the entire show. Cena never helped them. Then Cena spent the last half of the show trying to rally up new teammates only for Ziggler and Big Show, two guys that got beat up earlier with no help from Cena, to return to help Cena beat up the Authority. Adding in Rowan randomly who was last seen playing with a cat backstage was random as well.

Plus, what does Cena have to lose in the main event at Survivor Series? Nothing. Literally nothing. The Authority is fighting to keep their "control". What control exactly do they have? Control to make Cena wrestle in continuous tag team matches on RAW each week?

  153. That's a real nice way of putting it. I woke up and just wanted AndyPG's head on a post for being suck a fool. It put me in an odd spot. I'm in it for the fun of it, but when the fun turns into fighting with cocksuckers like VinceJordan and AndyPG it just makes me think maybe I should be doing something else. Just felt the need to get it off my chest. It's hard out here. Hard times.

Because the announce team was able to acknowledge the past back in 1987 and create engaging moments and mini-stories within the course of a match. It doesn't happen so much anymore because of who we have at the table.

  156. I do agree the "Cena not helping out" thing is strange. They just needed to threaten him 2 weeks ago with "If you get involved in any match, you are automatically out of the Survivor Series match". Or something like that.

    ReplyDelete
  157. Exact;y! That would've been perfectly fine.

    ReplyDelete
  158. They did a great job last night actually, using the Ryback/Cena feud from last year to create a lack of trust.

  159. The best was SNL parodying them with the "We are the Kickers" video

  160. In all seriousness, any time I even get a little bit riled up, I simply close the site, and come back 30 minutes later. There really should never be any anger here. It's good to cool off and remember "it's just a comment board".

    ReplyDelete
  161. The showing of the clip with Cena mocking Ryback was a clever touch.

I really feel like those are minor logical gaps that are only bothersome if you let them be (I'm not). VKM came on the show three weeks ago to put his daughter and son-in-law through a crucible to make them stronger. His version of "tough love" to motivate them. If it goes anywhere beyond Sunday, it may lead to the HHH-VKM avatar match at Mania.

Cena not helping his partners? Same reason Hogan didn't answer Paul Orndorff's phone calls when he was hangin' and bangin' at the gym - he's a bit of a dick. Or, he was backstage getting a Bellajob.

The Rowan thing? Yeah, alright, that one I'll give you.

    ReplyDelete
  163. Lawler also pointed out a great little detail, that Steph never really said when this "future title match" would happen, and it might have all been a lie.

Man, you even have to argue with a guy who agrees with you most of the time, too? Geez, you're bad.

You're right, though. It helped explain things.

    ReplyDelete
  165. Yeah, Im right there with you. I used to post a lot more, but the combination of a weak current product and life in general makes it hard to get too interested anymore. Never in a condescending way, because its still fun chatting about nostalgia but there are just too many other priorities

    ReplyDelete
  166. I don't mind the Harper and Rowan thing, as Bray let them loose, and now they might be lost and confused, and they just wanna join something.

    ReplyDelete
  167. Ziggler losing the IC Title the way he did was dumb too.

He gets jumped from behind, booted down, then kicks out and recovers only to lose cleanly 10 minutes later. Like Meltzer said, where is the heat in that?

    ReplyDelete
  168. Extant1979 - Mr. Cable AccessNovember 18, 2014 at 8:22 AM

Which is as good an explanation as any.

  169. Extant1979 - Mr. Cable AccessNovember 18, 2014 at 8:23 AM

Oh, absolutely, I don't see the point in that at all. Hotshotting titles like that just seems like a waste of a title change.

    ReplyDelete
  170. I kind of like it just because Harper is a different type of IC champion, and, God help me, I feel like we might currently have two mid-card champions who won't be constantly jobbed out cleanly. I know I just cursed them.

    ReplyDelete
  171. It makes sense if they touch upon it at Survivor Series or the following RAW.

If they don't, then its a really illogical move.

But why Cena picked Rowan as his partner doesnt make a world of sense without an explanation. Hell, even Henry and Rusev standing side by side without acknowledging their feud is dumb.

Its clear this main event was not the product of long-term planning, or even logic for that matter.

  173. He got screwed, still fought vailliantly, but the oddz were just too much. (The key is, what will be the follow up? Since Zach Ryder fought hard while losing his US Title, and then, well...) But I think Ziggler will do well sunday.

    ReplyDelete
  174. It's a nod to Steamboat, Roberts and Savage all being tag team partners at Survivor Series after Savage and Roberts had both tried to end Steamboat's career within the previous 12-16 months.

  176. Oh, it's pretty terrible, no doubt. But hey, easier jokes.

    ReplyDelete
  177. Well, his point was you have heat if you get pinned right after getting jumped. Once you shake it off and compete in the match then lose, there is no heat as you recovered but still lost.

    ReplyDelete
  178. Extant1979 - Mr. Cable AccessNovember 18, 2014 at 8:27 AM

Honestly, I don't need Cole, King and JBL explaining to me that Henry and Rusev were feuding, but have put their differences aside when the COO of the company asked them to join him, especially now that Henry turned heel. I've been watching long enough that I get the tropes and what they mean.

Most of your posts are either replies directly critiquing other posters or just blind comments aimed at insulting the "internet fans harharhar" of this board. You come here with the purpose of stirring shit up VJ. You come here angry.

Giving anger management advice is far from your best role, crazy troll VJ.

I don't see that in ANY of Vince's posts. Well, maybe some of them, but certainly not most.
