Plans for Finn Balor & Hideo Itami?

There has been talk that the team of Balor & Itami will have a run in NXT as the Tag Team Champions before splitting off into singles runs. There is still no word on when these two will get called up to the main roster.

Reason For Survivor Series Post-Game Show Not Airing

The PPV Post-Game show did not air on the network last night as the show ran long and they wanted to make sure that the replay of the actual show aired at 11:00pm EST.

  3. I hope Sting shakes Taker's hand the right way, or this match could be a BURIED ALIVE match.

    BURIED ALIVE....

    shut up.

  4. Raw Preview: Watch Steph and HHH whine about losing for 30 minutes. Eventually we'll do something else.

    ReplyDelete
  5. Two football games could impact the rating.

    ReplyDelete
  6. The show being usually shitty probably has something to do with the ratings I would think. Just a guess.

    ReplyDelete
  7. That would've been such a hot match in the early 00's.

    ReplyDelete
  8. The way they ended the show last night seemed designed to get a big RAW rating for tonight. Still haven't seen the show though. Hope to catch it this week at some point.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Or in the 90's.

    ReplyDelete
  10. ... rough loss last night. But I'm pretty sure I'll be a good bounce back opponent this week.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Just watch the last 15 minutes. You aren't missing anything before that.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Maybe they should just stop plugging this post-game show thing.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Or plan their shows better.

    ReplyDelete
  14. I know slow-mo videos are in at the moment, but do we really need to see a full match of one at Wrestlemania?

    ReplyDelete
  15. Raw should be fun tonight. Not sure what's actually going to happen which is a nice change of pace from knowing everything that will happen.

    ReplyDelete
  16. I'd be down for watching Sting-Taker for the spectacle value, but man alive Taker doesn't need to be wrestling anymore and I got what I wanted out of Sting last night.

    ReplyDelete
  17. They should give them something like 8-10 minutes, do the signature spots, and get the fudge outta there.

The last thing we need to see is Sting and Taker gassed like they're about to keel over and die for 30 minutes.

    ReplyDelete
  18. LOL @ Sting/Taker

WrestleMania 31: We'll sell you the whole seat but you'll only need a bed!

    ReplyDelete
  19. I can't shake the feeling that Sting/Taker is going to be like Bret/Vince, Part 2. Something that once could have been incredible but when it happens is just painful to watch and terribly sad.

    ReplyDelete
  20. ......................................so..............................so Sting..a guy who never had anything to do with WWE......felt it necessary to get involved with the WWE power struggle for authority and beat up HHH..which...which is going to lead to him fighting a guy who has no love for "The authority" and has not been seen since Mania. My brain is starting to ooze out my ear trying to make sense of this.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Calling it now: Ziggler is my dark horse candidate to win the Rumble.

    ReplyDelete
  22. what you mean don't have 20 min. opening promos on PPV with a 4 hour women elimination match?

    ReplyDelete
  23. Good thing Wresltmania isn't tomorrow then.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Sting dropping HHH makes sense (HHH talking ish about WCW, here comes WCW's champion to get revenge).

I'm sure they'll play up Sting as saying "While I'm here, I've got one match left in me, and I want it to be against the Phenom".

    ReplyDelete
  25. Bah. I would rather have Sting/Hunter than Sting/Taker.

    ReplyDelete
  26. thats fine but..a Sting HHH match would make more sense..based on last night AND because HHH can you know.. work..

    ReplyDelete
  27. Yea HHH would carry him to a watchable match. Sting/Taker is going to be an addition to the epically bad Mania matches they will be 50 and 55 respectively by the time of Mania!

    ReplyDelete
  28. I think Sting/Undertaker is Plan A.

    Sting/Triple H is Plan B.

Sting and RoboCop vs. Triple H and Undertaker is Plan C.

    ReplyDelete
  29. If they're seriously going to do Sting v. Undertaker at WM, they at least need to do Sting v. HHH at RR.

    ReplyDelete
  30. That is an extremely dark horse you have there.

    The horse is black beauty.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Marked the fuck out for the Sting debut last night, hadn't read anything all weekend so it was a total shock. I thought for sure Orton was going to be making the save.

    ReplyDelete
  32. It's going to be a classically terrible match, I can't wait.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Sting has only has one match until everyone realizes he sucks though.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Wouldn't that wear the Sting allure off prior to WM?

The guy is 55. He's cool walking to the ring, doing is 3 signature moves, done. HHH could probably carry him to a decent enough match, but the cool factor would be gone before WM even got here.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Yep. Anything else ruins the mystique, and was one huge reason why the Hogan Starrcade match wasn't as good as it should have been. Once he started wrestling, it was like "Oh, there's Sting".

    ReplyDelete
  36. Making sense?!?! That's only for slack-jawed faggots!

    ReplyDelete
  37. He never gets enough hate for getting an entire year off and coming back wooing and corner splashing and being exactly the same guy.

I never saw his TNA stuff but I'd guess it was all the same in different makeup, that's about the extent of his character evolution over three decades, different face paint.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Yes except now the Stinger Splash has more to do with his lack of bowel control.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Joker Sting was interesting, and I actually liked his persona in the Main Event Mafia before he and Angle went at it. Other than that, bleh.

    ReplyDelete
  40. And the Deathdrop. He added one move.

Don't forget the one move he added.

    ReplyDelete
  41. If Taker wants another Mania match and build-up, why did they end the streak?

    ReplyDelete
  42. Taker may not want it. He may have just been talked into it.

    ReplyDelete
  43. ..........I hope he can do it.

On the bright side, at least it's not Flair.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Oh boy, I'm not sure if I'm allowed to help Sting after the Wrestlemania match. He probably hasn't earned me yet.

    ReplyDelete
  45. I hope so. He deserves it.

    ReplyDelete
  46. The rest of season 7 is shit, but the last episode with the Gilligan's Island cast playing the cast of Roseanne is still pretty awesome.

    Gilligan as Jackie is money.

    ReplyDelete
  47. You can't do Sting/HHH at Mania. That's four months away! Can you imagine how many boring promos we'd have to sit through? I wouldn't be surprised if we don't actually see Sting again until the Rumble though.

    ReplyDelete
  48. If he wants to win the Rumble, his best bet is to fake an injury and stay off the road for the next 60 days so he doesn't get backstage heat on himself again by wearing the wrong color on a Thursday.

    ReplyDelete
  49. is that the one where they're all characters, but David is just David? That was pretty funny.

    ReplyDelete
  50. You're not alone. I don't want to see Taker wrestle anyone at this point. His body looked done in that match with Lesnar. Having him face a guy 6 years older than him is not going to be any better (although at least he won't get a concussion against him).

I think Sting/HHH could actually be a decent match, though.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Yeah, he walks around confused in both scenes it's pretty great.

Season 8 Episode 1 is one of my favorites at least, Lacy Gorenson returns and every character acts shocked and asks where the hell she's been. I loved that bit.

    ReplyDelete
  52. I'm concerned the Austin/McMahon podcast won't be as candid as we'd like since it'll be on the Network. Because I honestly think this is the closest we'll ever come to a McMahon tell-all interview.

    ReplyDelete
  53. I wouldn't be surprised if there's no Sting on Raw, and it probably wouldn't hurt to push his next appearance and explanation out to the TLC show.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Don't doubt Austin. Speaking of, I've been saying they should his podcast on the network for months now.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Before mania it seemed like Sting and Cena were likely future challengers to the streak. They ended the streak for Lesnar whose shown up three times to fight Cena since. The sting match and potentially the Cena match might still happen anyway without the streak involved now

    ReplyDelete
  56. So here's my Wrestlemania Card:

WWE Title: The Viking Space Lord vs. Swat Team Joe
Uncle Maury in face paint vs. Literal Death
Blandy Boreton & Ooze Ambrose vs. COOO & SLACKSKANE
A tag team match featuring all the tag teams because tag teams are teh gays.
Girl Title: Booby Bella vs. Screaming British Ghost
I-C Title: Whoever won it on Main Event the week before vs. A Hillbilly
U-S Title: Russian Hairball vs. The Ice Pack Police
Battle Royal with 20 guys who you may forget are employed next month.

    Done and done! :)

    ReplyDelete
  57. Maybe they'll just pretend that didn't happen. You know what they're like.

    ReplyDelete
  58. In a perfect world, Dolph Ziggler interrupts John Cena's gloat fest tonight, rightly pointing out that he did jack all last night, and challenge him for the number one contendership at TLC. You just got into bed with Dolph creatively by making him look like a world-beater. Pull the trigger now and they have a new main event superstar.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Okay, the Girl Title made me laugh out loud at work. Cheers!

    ReplyDelete
  60. Ditto. They could throw a bone out to a few people with podcasts, it's such an easy way to provide content worth watching on the Network.

    ReplyDelete
  61. It was more like "Oh, there's Hogan".

That one did suck, but Sting could still wrestle a 4-star match in 98/99. And a few of his matches in late 2000's TNA were 3-3.5.

    ReplyDelete
  62. I didn't see the show but by reading Scott's review and the thoughts of others, the continuity of the storylines are pathetically bad right now. I don't get why its such an issue. I mean how can you get invested into storylines when this is such a problem?

    ReplyDelete
  63. Ugh, Sting vs. Taker. It would be better for the two to team up against a younger team that can carry them to a good match.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Has anyone ever compiled a list of all of Big Show's heel/face turns?

    ReplyDelete
  65. A few have tried but now they're housed at Arkham Asylum.

    ReplyDelete
  66. I don't have the time, personally.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Or you can have Cena vs. Big Show, Part 27 instead. Because FUCK YOU.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Oy,that would be rough, I think I could do it though 04-06 would get really hard.

    ReplyDelete
  69. This sounds great.

    It will never happen.

    ReplyDelete
  70. They can't book storylines when actions are forgotten about, or even retconned one week later. I don't get why they can't say we have so and so pay per view at the end of the month, these are the matches and here's how we're getting to them. So easy.

    ReplyDelete
  71. This week...on a very special RAW...the Big Show reveals he has bi-polar disorder.

    ReplyDelete
  72. God, I hope we make it to Plan C.

    ReplyDelete
  73. It will be more shocking the day Show doesn't turn.

'Big Show in stands by partner shocker'

    ReplyDelete
  74. Good idea, I am hitting up the staff now...

    ReplyDelete
  75. That would actually be a satisfying explanation.

    ReplyDelete
  76. Perhaps Show could turn back on Raw. He could say he did it FOR Cena, so that Cena would realise that he can trust Ziggler and the next generation to take care of business, and that he doesn't have to shoulder everything himself anymore.

    ReplyDelete
  77. And why waste all this time on Ryback when he was the first one eliminated in the match? And how is Swagger too hurt to be on Team Cena yet he wrestled and won on the pre-show match? And what sense does the Rose/Bunny feud make?

    ReplyDelete
  78. OR he could just say that the fans don't deserve an explanation.

Knowing the WWE, I know which way they'll choose...

    ReplyDelete
  79. No, this wasn't an indictment of Sting stinking. Moreso that his moveset hadn't changed.

    ReplyDelete
  80. He didn't spend the year off at the power plant! He was in the rafters being sad and angry.

    ReplyDelete
  81. They should've added Cesaro and Swagger - not as if they haven't done 7-on-7 matches before (yes, this would be 6-on-6....I can count).

    ReplyDelete
  82. It's all thrown together at the last minute and it really hurts the product. The problem is they think all the fans care about is Cena so no-one is paying attention to the mid card and they can just fuck them around.

But that's the reason no-one in the midcard is getting over. Why should fans get behind them when the company clearly doesn't give a shit?

The Ryback thing annoyed me, because it was clearly booked on the fly and they made it up as they went along. Why? If they want Ryback in there why mess around with Swagger? Stick him in the match and let him run through people in the build up to it. They need to just keep it simple instead of trying to be cute and clever.

    ReplyDelete
  83. If Tony Skee-a-vone would've come out after Fall Brawl and said "Sting doesn't want to wrestle for WCW because he is sad", it would've been The Greatest Moment In The History Of Our Sport(tm).

    ReplyDelete
  84. How Erick Rowan got in the match before Cesaro I'll never know.

Well of course we all do know, but it's quite depressing to say it out loud.

    ReplyDelete
  85. The top face was booked like an unlikable asshole leading up to this show. Its amazing.

    ReplyDelete
  86. I wonder if the reason Ryback jobbed so early is that someone found an ice pack in his lunch cooler.

    ReplyDelete
  87. We NEVER deserve an explanation!

    ReplyDelete
  88. Will we be able to order the 3-volume box set online?

    ReplyDelete
  89. Thanks man! Can't wait to see the list. I'm guessing it's been about 15 turns in his WWE career alone.

    ReplyDelete
  90. He is going to include WCW too so should be fun.

    ReplyDelete
  91. Are you going to count situations where he was a face on Raw and a heel on Smackdown? If so, this would probably get into the 30s.

    ReplyDelete
  92. Something, something, something ironclad contract, something something.

    ReplyDelete
  93. Were you not happy with Seth Rollins explanation of “I was
the Shield, and I bought in because it was time to do so?”

    ReplyDelete
  94. That might be longer than a list of mysteries on LOST.

    ReplyDelete
  95. But the new storyline is that Big Show is purposely gaining a ton of weight, so this time Cena definitely can't get him up for the AA.

    ReplyDelete
  96. If that's the case, he really should have been KO'ed like Mark Henry. It's the worst kind of sin.

    ReplyDelete
  97. Maybe they expect people to forget about the storylines. I mean, Swagger had been booked as a jobber up until the last 2 months.

    ReplyDelete
  98. I mentioned to him to keep an eye on it.

    ReplyDelete
  99. We should be grateful we've gotten any explanations at all over the years!

    ReplyDelete
  100. Yeah - Sting/Taker vs. DX!

    ReplyDelete
  101. Maybe Mark Henry was caught giving rookies ice packs in exchange for favours.

    ReplyDelete
  102. That explains the constant crying.

    ReplyDelete
  103. Match might suck but honestly even the thought of it is pretty enticing.

    ReplyDelete
  104. Finally! An explanation after all these years!

    ReplyDelete
  105. Ha, well Jordan Duncan is. He will be doing it.

    ReplyDelete
  106. Sting - Booker T might be a fun mini-feud, what with Booker being an Authority suckup and whatnot.

    ReplyDelete
  107. You know something? Erick Rowan looked pretty impressive in his (admittedly) limited exposure last night. I think Luke Harper has enough talent when they really turn him loose to make a Rowan/Harper match decent.

I felt like last night's Bray Wyatt v. Dean Ambrose match was underrated by Scott a bit; it was perfectly acceptable wrestling until the cheap finish, and it was certainly the good preliminary set-up for a much better match at TLC.

Dolph Ziggler just had a Hell of a deal last night, surviving Kane, Luke Harper, Seth Rollins, the New Stooges on the Block and Triple H to earn the victory. His segments with Seth were probably the the best in the main event, and the two now have casus belli to fuck with each other at TLC.

That's three relatively fresh matches that have some meaning behind them, and could be pretty entertaining. Assuming we get a mediocre tag team match and a Divas match to fill out time, TLC could be a sleeper for second best show of the year.

    ReplyDelete
  108. THAT'S the thing that made me shake my head last night - they spent all this time building up Ryback over the last few weeks, and he was the first one on Team Cena to go. What the hell was the buildup for then?

    ReplyDelete
  109. And my votes for today's PTBN 90's songs poll:
    Wonderwall
    Hold My Hand
    Hypnotize
    Unbelievable
    Quit Playing Games

    ReplyDelete
  110. If Big Show turns heel and nobody cares, does he really turn heel?

    ReplyDelete
  111. Is it better to have turned heel and nobody care, than never to have turned heel at all?

    ReplyDelete
  112. I'm thinking they simply needed a replacement for Sheamus, and had no one else on the level capable of stepping in, since I'm assuming they'd rather not have Orton bow out for some reason there.

    ReplyDelete
  113. Today was really tough... very stacked pool.

    ReplyDelete
  114. I'm happy with the way Survivor Series turned out. It's about time we have a happy ending at a PPV for once. I don't think there's been this satisfaction for the faces since Mania XXX

    ReplyDelete
  115. The best part about this thread is that people are actually arguing FOR Triple H having a main event match at WrestleMania. It's surreal. I love it.

    ReplyDelete
  116. The Shield whooping that Evolution ass was pretty satisfying. Not WM XXX levels but hell, that's WrestleMania.

    ReplyDelete
  117. I'll give you that. HHH has been the most giving this year.

    ReplyDelete
  118. That was really badass the close out Payback.

    ReplyDelete
  119. Mm, the impression that I'm getting is that Triple H/Sting makes more sense (and would be a better match) than Sting/Undertaker, but only in the sense that cow shit tastes a little better with a scoop of ice cream on top. I don't think that either match would be especially great, which is kind of why a tag match or gimmick would go a long way to disguising their obvious shortcomings in the ring.

    ReplyDelete
  120. Same except I went with Peal Jam and not Unbelievable.

    ReplyDelete
  121. Evolution toying with Shield for like 10 minutes only for the Shield to bum rush them and get the clean sweep was awesome.

Triple H clinging to his sledgehammer as he gets ready to face the Hounds! Come on, that's fantastic.

    ReplyDelete
  122. Argh! And they broke them up so that Rollins could be a cowardly heel, Ambrose could be a goofy comedy character and Reigns could be exposed as not ready. Goddamnit. Fuck.

    ReplyDelete
  123. Short of the Shield and Daniel Bryan, it was slim-pickings this year. Part of me worries that Dolph's big moment will get overshadowed by Cena shenanigans, but damn did they do a great job with him last night. Good stuff all around.

    ReplyDelete
  124. Charismatic eNegro Jef VinsonNovember 24, 2014 at 8:33 AM

The top face IS an unlikable asshole.

    ReplyDelete
  125. Agree.
I left off Alive as there are a lot of 90's Pearl Jam songs I could find. And Life is a Highway was another popular song.

    ReplyDelete
  126. Most people were fine with Triple H vs. Bryan at Mania 30 because it was a fresh match and made sense.

I think a majority of people will be fine with Triple H vs. Sting at Mania 31 because it is a fresh match, it will be Sting's one and only WWE match, and if the storyline makes sense (and it should unless Creative REALLY fucks it up).

People were against Triple H vs. Lesnar at Mania 29 because it wasn't a fresh match and nobody really wanted to see Triple H beat Lesnar.

    ReplyDelete
  127. At least nobodies arguing for Cena.

    ReplyDelete
  128. I can't hear Alive without thinking of Kenny Powers crashing a funeral.

    ReplyDelete
  129. I don't give a fuck if HHH would give Sting a better match. Sting/Undertaker needs to happen. Whether they are in their 50s or even in the 80s. It's more of a dream match than his match with HHH will ever be.

If anyone if gonna watch a Sting match for the purpose of Sting putting on a good match then they obviously should know better. It's all on you if you get bummed if the match is a DUD. Sting isn't about wrestling good matches in his mid 50's. His character is far more important than his workrate at this point. If Hogan and Sting had a passable match at BOUND FOR GLORY, you're gonna tell em that he can't have one with THE UNDERTAKER?

    ReplyDelete
  130. Does anyone else see money in a possible Wyatt/Ambrose tag team down the road? Have them beat the piss out of each other at TLC, then do the deal where they have the staredown with the dozens of referees and backstage officials coming out to block then. Then have them just go batshit insane on everyone in the ring and clear it. Have them slowly start converging in different ways; the dynamic could make for one Hell of a team I think, and really give Bray a chance to stretch his wings as a high-level face, since I think he's hit the ceiling for now as a heel.

    ReplyDelete
  131. As a huge Hogan mark, I can tell you that the Hogan/Sting match at Bound For Glory was in no way, shape, or form a passable match.

    ReplyDelete
  132. LOL I remember this. People weren't fine with Bryan/HHH. I even remember a post of someone saying that there's no way HHH would let Bryan beat him based on the list of guys he wrestled at Mania rofl.

    ReplyDelete
  133. Only because the title wasn't on the line right?

    ReplyDelete
  134. I'm not a Hogan mark at all and I actually thought the match was a lot of fun. It was far better than anyone expected it to be, brother.

    ReplyDelete
  135. Depends on your definition of "passable".

    ReplyDelete
  136. People were far from fine with Bryan being against Hunter. Of course I don't want to generalize, but there was a healthy contingent of people against the idea.

    ReplyDelete
  137. 2011 was far too early for Hogan to make a comback. He needed another four years to get into match shape.

    ReplyDelete
  138. "Yep Mode" Abeyance Brown ©November 24, 2014 at 8:37 AM

Which means this match is going to need weapons.

    ReplyDelete
  139. Healthy isn't the right word for it. lol

    ReplyDelete
  140. I was totally with the idea. I thought Triple H should have somehow gotten the belt so him vs. Bryan could have closed the show. In hindsight, I'm fine with the route they went with.

    ReplyDelete
  141. "Yep Mode" Abeyance Brown ©November 24, 2014 at 8:39 AM

I would love for that to happen, would make up for so much continuity problems they had.

    ReplyDelete
  142. I'm still disappointed as anyone that the Shield broke up. But Rollins seems like he's been fine. Jury is still out on Reigns. We'll see how his return is handled.

    Ambrose could be in trouble.

    ReplyDelete
  143. Daniel Bryan was a goofy comedy midcard tag team guy for awhile. Ambrose's character is quirky. It's part of what gets him over.

    ReplyDelete
  144. "Yep Mode" Abeyance Brown ©November 24, 2014 at 8:41 AM

    Balle that!

    ReplyDelete
  145. That was when Hogan basically said he wouldn't be taking any bumps.

    ReplyDelete
  146. Huh? Was there something in the post-show to suggest that?

    ReplyDelete
  147. Well, I think people were fine with Bryan vs. Hunter as long as Bryan was going to win. The real concern was that Bryan wasn't going to win.

People were afraid of what a Triple H/Orton/Batista WrestleMania main event would render.

    ReplyDelete
  148. Right he was just coming off major surgery. He's apparently in much better shape now.

    ReplyDelete
  149. I'd figure you'd have to be a complete moron to not see that Bryan was leaving Mania as the champ a few weeks before the show.

    ReplyDelete
  150. I can't honestly believe people thought HHH/Orton/Batista was a possibility. I refuse to acknowledge that ANYONE thought that was going to happen.

If it were just Triple H/Bryan with no "Winner Moves On" stip then I could see some worry that Hunter wins. But once they announced the win and you're in stip it sealed Bryan's win.

    ReplyDelete
  151. "Yep Mode" Abeyance Brown ©November 24, 2014 at 8:44 AM

    Screaming British Ghost!

    ReplyDelete
  152. Well, as someone above said people were using Triple H's previous Mania wins that sucked (Booker T, Jericho, Lesnar) and the ridiculous win over Punk as evidence that he wasn't going to do the job.

    ReplyDelete
  153. I'm all in favour of psychopath cooperation. Just please don't call them WyBrose or something daft.

    ReplyDelete
  154. I know a lot of people are down on Bray vs. Dean (mostly in regards to how it came about) but I like it. It's an upper mid-card feud and WWE needs more programs away from the main event angle. Dean supporters are upset that he should be pushed harder and not as a slapsticky goofball, and I agree, but giving him more angles to sink his teeth into to improve and build a following will only help him in the future.

  155. Sting vs Taker still a possibility? The booking makes it seem pretty obvious that it's HHH/Sting, unless last night was the blow-off of that which would totally be the way to go. There's zero need for HHH/Sting, really don't see any appeal there at all. Taker/Sting will be garbage in the ring just as much as Sting/HHH would be, but at least it'd have an epic feel and it's something fans have been thinking about for years.

Again, who has ever clamored for HHH/Sting?

  156. Tonight: Ziggler comes out to be congratulated by his team. Suddenly...

"I hear voices in my head...."

Orton beats Ziggler in a 30 second match.

    The end.

And man, I consider that to be the worst match I've ever seen.

Guess that means Orton is putting his name in the hat then.

  163. I think once the Mania 30 matches were actually set up on that Raw (Bryan/HHH winner gets title match etc), fans and this board seemed to be on board with it. At that point the Bryan win seemed like a sure thing.

I'd say it was in the months before when it was obvious Bryan was getting nowhere near a HHH and/or title match that people here were ripping the booking. Or even those few weeks when it looked like Bryan/HHH as a singles match with Orton/Batista as the title match, that was none too popular.

God I hope Sting shows up tonight. I don't care if he is paired against the bunny. I am going to MARK THE FUCK OUT!!! I can't be alone in this

  165. Got to keep Orton strong... right?

    ReplyDelete
  166. Yeah, Triple H/Sting seems random but makes sense considering what happened last night. Unless Triple H/Sting closes the Rumble and Taker's gong goes off while Sting is in the ring? I doubt last night's interaction happens without there being some sort of Triple H/Sting match at some point.

Epic? I just don't see it.

Everyone talks about Sting's "character" but really he's just a guy in makeup who wields a bat. That's it. I don't know where people got this idea that he was some dark, complex persona with tons of layers. Maybe there were hints of that in 1998, but then he got back in the ring and was just the same old Sting. He's no Undertaker, that's for sure.

So HHH is good enough for government work. And he has the advantage of not being completely broken down.

  173. The optimist in me is excited to see where WWE goes without the tired ass "heel authority figure" bullshit. It's a chance to do something fresh and different.

The realist is waiting to see what kind of stupid angle they'll run that will cause John Cena to be a complete moron and reinstate HHH and Stephanie.

    ReplyDelete
  174. I'll go: Ryback squash Ziggler, Big Show squash Ryback, Orton over Big Show, Cena over Orton as our chain of destruction squandering everyone.

    ReplyDelete
  175. Haha true. And hey, I get some thought behind it, in that you want Sting in there with a veteran who can guide him through the match, and a star with name appeal since the Sting match might actually be counted as the main draw of Wrestlemania. (Since Brock's gonna be stuck in a match with Roman that won't be a big mainstream draw.)

But to me HHH is just a completely underwhelming one time Sting match, and I don't see what the appeal is at all. What happened last night feels like all the HHH/Sting that we'll ever need.

Aren't you the guy who wants Hogan to win the title at Wrestlemania? I'd mark out for that too. :)

Cena has to do the right thing, be a star, which means he will reinstate HHH and Steph so that they won't live in the street.
Or, you know, whatever stupid storyline reason they come up with.

  188. Not WrestleMania -- Mania is big enough on its own. Hogan should win the belt on a B-show though to boost the Network and PPV buys.

But yeah, I definitely want to see it happen next year, and frankly I think WWE will end up doing it regardless of what people on the BOD think.
