  3. In todays 90 songs choices, there were 5 black artists and 5 white artists and I unanimously voted for all 5 of the white artists. I feel terrible but those are the songs I like. :( This has really brought home the complete lack of diversity in my musical taste.

I spent about 30 minutes last night checking out the Facebook pages of people I went to elementary school with and high school with.

Probably shouldn't have done that. I remember when I had potential once and my whole life ahead of me.

  13. For the gamer folk among us, Blizzcon has been incredible this year. Tried out Overwatch and it has very real potential to be the new Team Fortress 2. The Hearthstone expansion, on the other hand, looks like it has the potential to break the game.

Trying out Heroes of the Storm and the new StarCraft 2 expansion/standalone later today.

Seriously, last night at 4 AM after I'd done all this and was trying to go to sleep, all I could think of was how i wished it could stay Night81 Hustable night forever since life was still, nothing presumably going on, and everything just was what it was at that moment, and not moving past me.

  28. I feel for you, but I think you got to seek legitimate help at this point. I've been diagnosed with clinical depression in the past, and I was never able to move past it until I nearly got fired from my job and took the signal to get myself checked. Seriously look at your options for treatment because this is no way to live, but you have to be the one to nip it in the bud.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Yeah that was cool looking

    ReplyDelete
  58. Yeah thats the line of thought I use. I like to play with an awful team, sometimes make a trade for a superstar (one of my favorite years was playing the kings two years ago and trading for DWill, what a team) or use it as if they have exciting players. I'm thinking either Lakers (I'll give Kobe a proper last stand) Hornets (just cuz I had the started jacket) Sixer's (ultimate underdog story and I can use embiid anyways) Knicks (melo is fun to use, and msg looks cool) or Pistons (I think they are made to be dominating in this game)

    ReplyDelete
  59. Not at all, Nirvana was a pop band, and Kurt was a teen idol.

I mean, I could've used Lemmy from Motorhead, or anybody from AC/DC. Perhaps the Beatles would've been a better choice, or Bon Jovi. But to call it the worst example is patently and provably false.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Yeah, but they already allow ass.

I'm just saying, how many times did Bryan Cranston drop the F-Bomb in Breaking Bad? A few, but he didn't need it to be terrifying.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Lol god no! That's a screen cap from a newz site.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Actually no it isn't false at all... perhaps you don't understand the words you are using? You've never shown yourself to be particularly well educated.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Examples, please?

Because the great action movies I'm talking about are the Wuxia movies, Donnie Yen, Jet Li, Chow Yun-Fat. They're not Saw, but when a dude gets their face rearranged there's some blood, it shows the wear and tear of a fight, a battle, a conflict.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Bury Kobe on the bench.

    ReplyDelete
  65. It's much easier to manufacture that feeling in a controlled setting with one of the best working actors and a terrific writing staff. Different mediums, different situations.

I agree it's possible, but a big part of the problem is grown men speaking like kids.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Don't plan on it. I'm just saying that awkward-ass Paige can't match Sibel Kekilli or Rose Leslie or Lena Heady.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Yeah, that's the huge problem right there. The WWE writers are the worst of the worst. I honestly don't understand how the WWE was awesome under Russo and terrible now. Although the one thing Russo did really well was give every character a story and motivation.

    ReplyDelete
  68. I bet they never had irish whips and back body drops either. Probably your weakest troll job. You've lost your touch.

    ReplyDelete
  69. I was thinking more of cop movies, westerns, sand-and-sandal epics, and LotR-type stuff (I don't watch a ton of movies with one-on-one fight scenes) so that could the issue. In these movies, most of the blood you see is after the fact to show that wear and tear you mention, but it's very lacking during the actual action. Guy gets shot, he goes down. Guy gets run through with a sword, he screams. Then once the battles are over, you'll see a trail of blood down the side of the mouth or a bullet wound in the shoulder.

For the record, I'm all for blood being reintroduced to WWE when needed. Wrestlemania 13 just wouldn't have the same impact without the blood flowing down Austin's face.

  71. I'll just fight for that shit not being on this website.

    ReplyDelete
  72. I'm a huge Ohio State guy, but they've been awful this year. They're way over ranked right now.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Because Paige can't act like she's comfortable standing in that ring, let alone doing anything comehither-y.

    ReplyDelete
  74. "I've seen a few real fights in my day"

First of all, no you haven't.

Second of all, REAL fights (let's just pretend you actually did see a real fight) are by their definition not choreographed violence, which is what wrestling (or action movies) consist of. Choreographed violence has a heightened reality, it uses cooperation, it uses literary devices (foreshadowing and the like) to make it more interesting. So yes, the "real" fights you saw (stop pretending dude) did not have blood. What a brilliant and inspired deduction and comment.

Jesus, I normally just think you're an asshole, not an idiot.

I haven't voted for a single r&b/hip hop tune yet.

    ReplyDelete
  76. I voted for Cube, Onyx, Nirvana, Pumpkins & Lenny Kravitz. Even though I can't really deal with heavy rock music any more I was a HUGE grunge fan when I was 15-16. Did Skunk Anansie ever make it big in the US? THey need to be on at least one ballot before the first round ends imo. "Weak" "Brazen" & "Everyday hurts a little more" were monster tunes back in the day.

  80. Fair enough fight.

    ReplyDelete
  81. Boxers bleed. Those are real fights.

...probably. And man were the early UFC fights something to behold. Pretty sure nobody is blading in either case.

    ReplyDelete
  82. They came on Stephanie? I think that goes beyond PG13.

    ReplyDelete
  83. It had its moments. Russo was there for a long ass time.

    ReplyDelete
  84. Do they bleed from their forehead?

    ReplyDelete
  85. Most real fights are pretty much close range hockey brawling, sans the skates, headlocks or pathetic dicks trying to hit each other with bottles and crap.

    ReplyDelete
  86. Here comes a new challenger!

    ReplyDelete
  87. Or oversensitive fags like yourself? Please learn to shut the fuck up every once in a while.

    ReplyDelete
  88. ...really? Are you being serious or sarcastic? Cause I don't remember any production of Romeo and Juliet that involve power bombs or 200 back bumps a night, with no off season, for a year. That's pretty barbaric.

    ReplyDelete
  89. He just struck from outta nowhere.

    ReplyDelete
  90. WWF/E only gets really awesome by complete accident. That's the trick.

    ReplyDelete
  91. Boobs USED to be an important draw, but now, anybody can hop on a device and literally see millions of jugs in seconds. Though I do agree with a previous post, about wrestling fans generally being considered the lowest denominator. That's an important market.

Blood is almost a must, but then, i'm a monster who has no qualms with grown men slashing themselves for my enjoyment. Just don't be like Flair, and blade because you yawned during a match.

Cursing....jesus, you know what? Everything on this list, in moderation, and when the angle calls for it. That's all.

    ReplyDelete
  95. I associate swearing with kids more than adults.

    ReplyDelete
  96. Well, I'd put a kung fu movie as falling way more under WWE's oeuvre than a fantasy romp. And kung fu movies without blood suck.

And I'm not saying that WWE should start producing the Texas Chainsaw Massacre every night, but a little blood in safe conditions when it's called for in particular matches would not be the worst thing in the world. And I think most people would agree with that.

And honestly, none of these three things would really help the product THAT much. Credible booking and clever dialogue are far more important in creating menace and intensity and a sense of legitimate violence than all the gore and fucks in the world.

    ReplyDelete
  97. Exactly, wrestling is already fucking dangerous, there's no need to add people maiming themselves in the second match.

Your point seems to be "Well they're already going to die, might as well add hepatitis to the mix."

    ReplyDelete
  98. LOL Translation: "He is right, I am poorly educated and I don't know what I am talking about, maybe if I make an a baseless Ad Hominem attack I can draw him into a flame war and hide my short comings."

    ReplyDelete
  99. You started the personal attacks here so don't be surprised when people return in kind.

And considering that you didn't bring in any counter to my point more sophisticated than "lol u dum" I really don't have the desire to debate your flamer ass. I'll save my legitimate dialogue for the people that have actually earned it.

Now go off and be misogynistic or bitter about failing as a wrestler or whatever you spend you time doing.

    ReplyDelete
  100. No I started by stating the fact that you used the dumbest example possible, which you did. You responded by continuing to demonstrate that you didn't understand what you were taking about so I floated the very real possibility that you didn't understand the words you were using and supported that by the fact you have consistently shown your self to be very naive, uneducated, and generally lacking in intellect. You responded by saying a high school diploma from CA was better than a Masters degree from a state you couldn't name further proving I was right and that you aren't capable of anything more than idiocy, whether due to lack of education or just generally low intelligence.

Look I know you are fairly young, I also understand how frustrating it must be to realize that you don't now, nor are you likely to ever add any value to society. I also understand how being exposed to someone that is superior to you in literally every way like I am must be very hard to deal with. As your superior I am going to recommend to you that you move along now and accept your station in life, though I am sure as you are controlled by your lower brain function you will respond and face further humiliation.

I hope you realize the opportunity I just provided you to improve as a person and do the civilized thing and thank me in the future.

    ReplyDelete
  101. Hrm, let me look over this real quick.

    Yep, still not actually arguing.

I have no real desire to trade barbs over the internet just as I have no real desire to brag about how awesome my life is on the internet because A) nobody cares, B) nobody believes you and C) if you're bragging on the internet, your life is by definition not awesome.

If you actually want to make a point I'll be right here. If you want to argue that Nirvana wasn't a pop band I'll be right here. If you want to argue that Kurt Cobain didn't profit from his sex appeal I'll be right here. If you want to argue that sex appeal/attractiveness isn't related to success on a pop cultural level I'll be right here. If you want to argue that sexiness can't be oversaturated I'll be right here.

In other words, if you want to address anything I actually brought up instead of engaging in some debate about education on a wrestling blog's comment about Kurt Cobain's teen idol status as it relates to the reintroduction of increased sexuality in WWE, I'll be right here.

    ReplyDelete
  102. Lololol, I'm really living in a world where people would rather watch a Heath Slater comedy match and a bunny than a bikini contesy featuring AJ Lee and Paige. Dip shits.
