New England +3 at Green Bay
Arizona -2 at Atlanta
Carolina +2.5 at Minnesota
New York Giants -3 at Jacksonville
Tennessee +7 at Houston

Comments

  1. George Atkinson's son doing kick returns. A Raider family dynasty in the making.

    ReplyDelete
  2. Andy Dalton already has an interception.

    ReplyDelete
  3. From a true Angelino, fuck the Raiders and Rams. I don't see how any LA person can like either of those teams.

    ReplyDelete
  4. And Colt McCoy already has the Redskins in the red zone.

    ReplyDelete
  5. I ended up taking Baltimore ML, Pats +3.5 and I have the Dolphins teased with all kinds of other action. If the Jets end up screwing me on Monday as hard as I got screwed in the Pitt/Jets game, I'm going to hate life.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Never mind, came from a turnover.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Your NFL Coverage Map... http://506sports.com/

Which is only relevant for the morning, because we're ALL getting Patriots/Packers for the late game... except for Atlanta because they suck.

    ReplyDelete
  8. That's great. I don't hate Dalton but I do root for him to play as terrible as possible because it's highly entertaining.

    ReplyDelete
  9. The Ginja Ninja strikes first!

    ReplyDelete
  10. His eventual total self destruction is eminent.

    ReplyDelete
  11. He's the new Matt Schaub... except there's no name for taking pleasure in Dalton's failures.

    #Schaubenfreude

    ReplyDelete
  12. I'm glad they didn't put New England vs. Green Bay in prime time. Because it would have inevitably been a blowout if it was.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Hopkins is a pretty decent receiver but his give a fuck level is so low.

    ReplyDelete
  14. They call it the Collinsworth Curse.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Maybe Barkevious Mingo ate your baby?

    ReplyDelete
  16. I hate Fantasy Football. I'm a Raider fan but I've got Tre Mason on my fantasy squad. Conflict of interest.

    ReplyDelete
  17. LA's got it made for the NFL. 10 am start times and all the good games.

    ReplyDelete
  18. 1-11 on the season... let's talk about it.

    ReplyDelete
  19. 10 AM start time sounds awful. Noon start time is where it's at.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Andrew Luck and Andy Dalton are um not off to good starts

    ReplyDelete
  21. I'll be nice and not tell you my record.

But hey! You got that first win. You and my Raiders have that in common. I'm rooting for you.

What happened? Injuries or the team you drafted just didn't pan out?

    ReplyDelete
  22. http://deadspin.com/bo-pelini-on-nebraska-fans-fuck-you-fans-fuck-all-o-1327398903/1664828657/+samer

Only in major college football is a .712 winning percentage unacceptable.

    ReplyDelete
  23. As a west coaster I revile 10 AM starts.

    ReplyDelete
  24. One of these things is par for the course.

    ReplyDelete
  25. I seem to think it wasn't as much as his wins as it was he pissed off the wrong people.

    ReplyDelete
  26. He's killing me. Last week against Jax he was 15 points under projection. Now he's off to a -2 start. Luck isn't who I thought he was, so now I can't crown his ass.

    ReplyDelete
  27. EVERYBODY IN THE CLUB THROWING PICKSES

    ReplyDelete
  28. Ugh, my antivirus scan has been stuck at 81% for like an hour and hogging up all kinds of resources.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Taunting is the dumbest penalty. Five yards for block in the back and other penalties that could injure other players, fifteen yards for hurting their feelings. Also, Jerome Boger should be a ward of the state.

    ReplyDelete
  30. We keep saying it, it's not just wins, it's who you beat. You can't beat the best at a powerhouse program, you're not gonna stay.

Plus he was pretty unpopular there

    ReplyDelete
  31. Thanksgiving really messed up fantasy. For some odd reason every one of my opponents scored like 80 points with half of their team on Thanksgiving day itself. My teams scored only like 4 points on average.

Not starting Jacquo Bell screwed me. But I had Charles, Morris, Gore, and Vereen on those teams.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Rams haven't thrown the ball past the line of scrimmage.

    ReplyDelete
  33. So happy I got Tre Mason as my flex, my team is STACKED

    ReplyDelete
  34. Just... not going my way. Nothing really wrong with my team. Lacy didn't start playing until about Week 4 and he was my star. My next two picks of Reggie Bush and AJ Green have been hurt or not producing. I've been jumping around on defenses all season. Dan Carpenter is a great kicker. Only good waiver pickup I had was Martavis Bryant. The rest didn't pan out.

Only been destroyed twice. The rest of the losses happened via the Sunday night game or in 3 cases... 4th quarter of Monday night.

    ReplyDelete
  35. The Huskers think they should still be challenging for national titles.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I think I'll need TY Hilton and Julius Thomas to explode for huge games to have a chance this week.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Damn. I'd rather be destroyed than suffer those close losses. It's happened a few times. It's ugly.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Hilton is the master of awesome game, invisible game

    ReplyDelete
  39. I wish refs would just kind of let that stuff slide with a warning... same for excessive celebration.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Baltimore is trending up as a SB contender.

    ReplyDelete
  41. And fuck your basketball team.

I'm starting to hate our league. The usual half the players don't care, they're just taking depth from the league.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Studman Bailey is legit.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Terrance West coughs it up inside the 10

    ReplyDelete
  44. He's a Stud,man.

    ReplyDelete
  45. 16 people is way too many. I think the commish needs to keep tabs on the non players and boot them next season

    ReplyDelete
  46. I wouldn't have joined if I knew it was gonna be 16. I think by the time I got in, it was 10. Isn't default like 12?

    ReplyDelete
  47. Ahhh Shaun Hill rushing TD!

    ReplyDelete
  48. Carolina looking sharp early. And by sharp, I mean fucking atrocious.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Turnovers for everyone!

    ReplyDelete
  50. Yeah, 16 is just too much.

    ReplyDelete
  51. I'm gonna own being acab it owner this year. Sixteen is too many and the number of spots we need to fill + the roster caps make it impossible to do anything.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Damn you Hill you glory hound! Give it to Mason. The Rams are out to get me.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Tampa Bay: 2-8, in contention for the NFC South title. The trophy this year will be a Certificate of Appreciation and a fez.

    ReplyDelete
  54. I'm just cheering against all NFC South teams in all games just for fun at this point. I want to see how deep the rabbit hole goes and how bad a record the division winner has. They're all out of the division this week so I get to cheer against all of them. I'm enjoying this.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Someone on the Washington D dun goofed

    ReplyDelete
  56. I normally would be worried that he's only got one carry but he's got the TD catch and I know they're gonna start pounding the ball soon.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Scrawny Arms Rob Lowe... BRILLIANT!

    ReplyDelete
  58. He's my flex so he's already earned his keep

    ReplyDelete
  59. He's my RB2 so there's more eating that needs to be done.

    ReplyDelete
  60. This may be the first-ever 6-win division champion, considering the records now.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Jim Carey on Letterman... I just... Anyone else think Jim Carey has a REALLY tough time just being Jim Carey?

    ReplyDelete
  62. New Dart ad: uh, Craig, the police *will* be siding with your neighbor and you may be shot.

    ReplyDelete
  63. ... and a copy of Football for Dummies.

    ReplyDelete
  64. It's hard when your career is toast

    ReplyDelete
  65. I've gone against DBSM twice already. And his teams have been on a tear against me specifically. Really annoyed. That's fine though, because that's how things go.

But I'm looking around for some solid rebounding and assists, and the available players are just sad. It's like all of us are just trading the same names from week to week based on how their schedules and our matchups are.

    ReplyDelete
  66. 3rd and 1. Odds Shula calls a twenty yard pass?

    ReplyDelete
  67. Steelers dodged two bullets in 20 seconds of gametime...

    ReplyDelete
  68. The Raiders desperately need to get Carr some help in the offseason. They need to get a running game because this kid can't throw it 50 times a game like he's been forced to do.

    ReplyDelete
  69. Fantasy hockey advice. Well, not actual advice...

So in our league, we play head to head with another player for the week. I barely squeaked out a lead following last night's play by .1 of a point. I have four players playing today (only one game in the NHL, Detroit vs. Vancouver), the last day of the week, and my opponent has none. So technically, I've won the week already.

So what I did was sit all four of my guys down and will win without playing them. If I do play them, I risk losing cumulative points via plus/minus (say one of my players has a bad plus/minus game, I lose points overall) as my opponent can take the lead. If I do nothing and bench my guys, I win the week.

Kind of a chintzy way to win? Or good strategy?

    ReplyDelete
  70. It's got to be tough, he just wants to be seen as a serious actor... but the problem is, there's a plethora of guys who do that better than Jim Carey... so he's stuck doing "Jim Carey movies," which were FANTASTIC in the 90s, but that time has come and gone.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Same. I hope they only play non-division at this point.

I have Matt Ryan, and he's been just a bit below par. It's definitely cost me a few times.

    ReplyDelete
  72. Kick their gumbo-sucking asses.

    ReplyDelete
  73. I don't follow movie stars so maybe it's a dumb question but what happened to his career? He did a lot of juvenile comic movies and most of those were good. Then he had a run where he was trying to be a serious actor with Man on the Moon, Eternal Sunshine and the Truman Show. And those were all good too.

So what happened exactly? Why is he not even a B-lister anymore?

    ReplyDelete
  74. I think when the camera is on him, he just turns on the performance. It's just his quirk. Like Robin Williams used to.

    ReplyDelete
  75. My Raider fan roommate hasn't actively hated Carr this year, thinks he might be alright...

    ReplyDelete
  76. Big Pun at the bottom...hey guys just because you're wrestling fans doesn't mean your taste in everything else has to be complete shit too.

    ReplyDelete
  77. ... and it was REALLY hard for Robin Williams to just be Robin Williams too.

    ReplyDelete
  78. The winning strategy is the best one. I sit pitchers all the time in baseball when I have a win in hand.

THE ONLY WINNING MOVE IS NOT TO PLAY

    ReplyDelete
  79. Fuck Riverboat Ron, I'm ready for the Gus Bus.

    ReplyDelete
  80. It's hard to say if Carey's issues are from himself, or bad management.

He was really funny once, and he's still pretty good overall. I respect his ventures into the more serious sides, but they haven't worked out for him. I loved Truman Show and I thought he was solid, but it wasn't gangbusters or anything.

    ReplyDelete
  81. I think he is too. It's just hard to tell when they have a historically bad running game and he has to throw 50 times a game. And he doesn't have choice receiving targets either.

I think they could actually build something around him. But they gotta give him something. Get rid of Jones-Drew and McFadden for starters.

    ReplyDelete
  82. It's true. Man, you should have seen me last night following the games. I had a terrible day but Ryan Getzlaf scored like three points in the third period of his game and that pulled it off...and then I realized what I could do with today's strategy at like 1:30am and it blew my mind!

    ReplyDelete
  83. For years, I thought the Truman Show was snubbed by not getting Oscar nominations, but go back and watch it again. Jim's work in it is only great when he's being funny.

    ReplyDelete
  84. Jim Carrey was great in The Majestic (i think) and the Truman show, but yeah there's too many folks that are just way better.

    ReplyDelete
  85. Nothing wrong with it. I've sat goalies to keep my GGA before.

    ReplyDelete
  86. I think he's perfectly capable of being a serious actor, I don't know why that didn't work out.

I mean, that new Dumb and Dumber movie looks dreadful and like 15 years too late.

    ReplyDelete
  87. If they think he's the answer, the fuck do they do at the top of the draft?

    ReplyDelete
  88. He was great in the serious role in Eternal Sunshine

    ReplyDelete
  89. File this under the "you don't say!" I hope Goodell preemptively bans his Criminole ass.

    ReplyDelete
  90. You're the only Raider fan I know so let me ask you. Say the Raiders don't win again and pick 1st or 2nd (seems safe). Do you take Mariota? If not who do you take? The only team that could pick ahead of the Raiders if they don't win again is Jacksonville who will not take him so he's definitely going to be on the board.

    ReplyDelete
  91. Thanks, dude! I was feeling guilty before but now I say, fuck'em!

    ReplyDelete
  92. If they are serious about keeping him I could see them going with Amari Cooper. If they're gonna ditch him then probably Mariota.

    ReplyDelete
  93. Their problems go deeper than QB, they need to take the best non skill position, someone who will help the line or defense

    ReplyDelete
  94. Thanks, my African brother!

    ReplyDelete
  95. That happening plus all the AFC NORTH teams finishing above .500 would be FANTASTIC.

    ReplyDelete
  96. Sorry...my African "brotha".

    ReplyDelete
  97. Really hoping the Falcon get that 6-10 title and Detroit travels there as wildcard for their playoff game, assuming GB wins the North

    ReplyDelete
  98. Carrey's said that he suffers from depression, too.

    ReplyDelete
  99. They should not go with Mariotta... that way the Bucs can take him with the 2nd pick.

    ReplyDelete
  100. I think Carr could be somebody and I think they can win with him. As a rookie with a stunning dearth of talent around him, he's kept them in games. If they can get him some talent. Problem is, it's gonna take some patience. They need to get a RB, some receiving talent and some big repairs on defense.

They've never shown the patience to do that so I'm worried they'll take Mariota and ditch Carr and then Mariota will struggle in the same situation Carr has.

    ReplyDelete
  101. Big Pun is right where he needs to be.

Yeah, that's right. I said it. Whatcha gunna do, West Side?

    ReplyDelete
  102. I'd build from the lines out...Who's that DL from USC that keeps getting hyped up?

    ReplyDelete
  103. Leonard Williams. He's legit.

    ReplyDelete
  104. I had Carolina with the inside track to win the division with 6-9-1, but I thought they'd win today so...I don't even know. Carolina's tie might make the final records look even worse. It's actually possible for them to win with a 5-10-1.

    ReplyDelete
  105. Well if someone lets say the Jets falls in love with Mariota, maybe they can trade out of the spot.

    ReplyDelete
  106. I wouldn't call him a B-lister. Dumb and Dumber To might have been shit but it did win the box office.

It's just that people's comedy tastes change and when he was hot, he did a lot of serious movies because they were offered. But when he went back to comedy, he couldn't relate to the audience anymore.

It's happened to Robin Williams and Ben Stiller, too and it'll happen to Seth Rogen and his crew, probably. Will Ferrell seems to be the one guy it hasn't affected.

    ReplyDelete
  107. Leonard Williams is a monster, he's a worthy #1 pick. Only problem with the Raiders is that the Jags think so also and they probably aren't going to win again either.

    ReplyDelete
  108. Chicken parm you taste so good...

    ReplyDelete
  109. Not sure that we really have A List anymore. I mean Chris Pratt seems to be the biggest star right now. I wouldn't consider him A List.

We have a LOT of B+ players, and then the part timers come out to do a movie once a year...

    Wait a minute...

    ReplyDelete
  110. Taking engagement photos today this better not interfere with the Packers-Pats game

    ReplyDelete
  111. Lol Bucs up on the Bungles 10-0 I approve

    ReplyDelete
  112. I agree. If they don't take Cooper they need to bite the bullet and not live by the Donna Meagle motto of "Skill Positions Only" and get some lineman. Get some vital pieces.

    ReplyDelete
  113. Wait, wait... Opposing teams can PUNT to the Carolina Panthers? Get the fuck out!

    ReplyDelete
  114. God help Mariota if the Jets fall in love with him.

    ReplyDelete
  115. That's true. And you could say Guardians or Lego Movie would be huge hits without Pratt.

Big stars don't mean hits anymore as audiences are going for concept over star power. Even Johnny Depp and Will Smith aren't guaranteed successes anymore.

    ReplyDelete
  116. Fuck you, Cincinnati. Damn Buccaneers.

    ReplyDelete
  117. I was talking basketball.

Although in 1 of my 3 fantasy football leagues, I'm in a 16 person league with no trades. I hate that league. Commish totally didn't say any rule changes and I was an idiot for not reading the rules of the league before joining.

    ReplyDelete
  118. Dear Browns: stop shitting the bed against bad teams. Or throw every game. Either way.

    ReplyDelete
  119. There are no "draws" in movies anymore... it's more about the franchise themselves...

    Wait a minute...

    ReplyDelete
  120. I take it you aren't happy with RRR...

However, the Panthers' owner is a crotchety old shitheel.

    ReplyDelete
  121. Adam "Colorado" CurryNovember 30, 2014 at 11:45 AM

That whoever wins that dumpster fire of a division gets a home playoff game is bullshit.

    ReplyDelete
  122. Yes. He flamed out after winning the Vezina trophy.

    ReplyDelete
  123. That ad made me seek out a decent chicken parm locally. All the good ones are way over in St. Louis. We don't have enough dagos on this side of the river.

    ReplyDelete
  124. The day of the one guy being a draw is over. Studios realized that if you have a good premise or brand, you can make it a smash with an ensemble

    ReplyDelete
  125. Adam "Colorado" CurryNovember 30, 2014 at 11:46 AM

Ben Stiller is fucking awful. Just had to say that.

    ReplyDelete
  126. God I'm kicking myself for taking Dalton & Ryan as my fantasy QBs.

    ReplyDelete
  127. Nice catch by Stedman Bailey.

    ReplyDelete
  128. I agree...but for awhile, he was THE big comedy star.

    ReplyDelete
  129. I am of the opinion that they should fire everybody. The coaching has been legitimately horrid.

    ReplyDelete
  130. He has a good little nitche in opening movies around holidays. Where people are just used to going to the movies on those days and they end up seeing a familiar face. Safe family stuff.

    ReplyDelete
  131. How the hell did they pull out 12 wins last year?

    ReplyDelete
  132. BREAKING NEWS!!!

The Saints are dogshit outside the dome...More at 11

    ReplyDelete
  133. Vince was ahead of the curve for once!...course, he's in the wrong business for that mindset. Maybe he really thinks that he makes movies

    ReplyDelete
  134. The Browns allowing huge chunks of yardage against yet another garbage team BOOOOOOO!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  135. I don't think I've liked anything he's done other than Zoolander and Dodgeball and he was the worst part of Dodgeball to me and Zoolander was just kinda OK. I don't get his appeal at all.

    ReplyDelete
  136. Adam "Colorado" CurryNovember 30, 2014 at 11:49 AM

    Fucking choke artist.

    ReplyDelete
  137. Dalton yes. Ryan, no.

Ryan is a good fantasy QB except his O-line has been terrible. Although his top 2 receivers have been slowed by injuries last 2 years.

    ReplyDelete
  138. Sex with Scarlett Johansson would not interfere with that game for me today.

    ReplyDelete
  139. Giants looking good today, but is it enough to save Coughlin's job?

    ReplyDelete
  140. Defense was playing out of their minds.

    ReplyDelete
  141. "Face Off 2: Faces Off" could be HUGE!

    ReplyDelete
  142. The Browns stink.

    ReplyDelete
  143. Better secondary + better D-line + better O-line and healthier running game. Coaching was ancillary.

    ReplyDelete
  144. The era of PG-13 comedies ended leaving him in a lurch. The dramas that he loves doing were rejected.

He's also crazy and I think hard to work with, which doesn't help. His public behaviour has overshadowed his films which makes execs skittish

    ReplyDelete
  145. Cam was healthier last year too.

    ReplyDelete
  146. "2 Faces, 2 Furious"

    ReplyDelete
  147. And Orton bails them out

    ReplyDelete
  148. A LOT of people really didn't get his humor. I found him more annoying than funny. He was better trying to play the "unfortunate everyman" like There's Something About Mary or Meet the Parents.

    ReplyDelete
  149. They sure do, but I made a commitment.

    ReplyDelete
  150. Big Pun was so classic. I like in 1999 where every big guy was nicknamed "Big Pun".

    ReplyDelete
  151. Adam "Colorado" CurryNovember 30, 2014 at 11:50 AM

I'd say no, but it's a mystery that he's been there that long, so who knows...

    ReplyDelete
  152. If the Bills had a competent quarterback, that's at least a 10-win team.

    ReplyDelete
  153. The Bills were just simply the best team in a shitty conference. He didn't choke. It's like when the Nets were in the NBA Finals in 2002 and 2003.

    ReplyDelete
  154. I'm of the opinion that if your division can be won with a losing record, then your division doesn't deserve to be represented in the playoffs.

    ReplyDelete
  155. Fucking Shula... Needs 5 yards, calls a forty yard bomb.

    ReplyDelete
  156. Then don't have divisions at all.

    ReplyDelete
  157. Adam "Colorado" CurryNovember 30, 2014 at 11:52 AM

Fucking Orton. You suck, pal. And the QB from the Bills is shit too.

    ReplyDelete
  158. OH JESUS, CAROLINA...

    Two blocked punts for TDs.

    ReplyDelete
  159. Not in 91. They were definitely the best in the NFL.

    ReplyDelete
  160. Adam "Colorado" CurryNovember 30, 2014 at 11:53 AM

Missed the playoffs every other year though.

    ReplyDelete
  161. THROW THE DAMN TOWEL!

    ReplyDelete
  162. That was a lucky pick.

    ReplyDelete
  163. Interception OUTTA NOWHERE

    ReplyDelete
  164. Yea, that one they gagged. The other three...not so much

    ReplyDelete
  165. It really sucks all his post-Truman dramatic work didn't catch fire, cause he was great almost every time out

    ReplyDelete
  166. That's not true, they just flamed out in the playoffs

    ReplyDelete
  167. You don't make four straight SuperBowls without being a great team. They were great, and except for their first one... just could not get anything going in the SuperBowl.

    ReplyDelete
  168. I haven't seen people this overmatched since the Battle of Wolf 359.

    ReplyDelete
  169. Agreed. I Love You Phillip Morris one of my favourite movies but it just didn't get the nominations it needed to breakout. It's a shame, since he is amazing in it.

    ReplyDelete
  170. The AFC was awful then.

    ReplyDelete
  171. They are overmatched by the Sex Boat Bandits? Oh boy...

    ReplyDelete
  172. Adam "Colorado" CurryNovember 30, 2014 at 11:55 AM

The second on against Dallas they choked too. The other 2 they just got blown the Fuck out. Though 9 turnovers in a game is fucking inexcusable.

    ReplyDelete
  173. Yup, I sure tuned into this game to see Jerome Boger. God he sucks.

    ReplyDelete
  174. Down 21 and you're playing for field position? I'll take it, but sheesh.

    ReplyDelete
  175. They were competing with Marino in their division in his prime. Granted Marino was about all the Dolphins had... but he made Peyton Manning look like Mark Sanchez.

    ReplyDelete
  176. Hard to keep track, I'm tearing up everyone in all three leagues right now.

    ReplyDelete
  177. His fantasy numbers have not Been what they should be. Yes it's most at fault of his o-line and team injuries, still doesn't mean he's been solid

    ReplyDelete
  178. HERE WE GO!

This happens once every five years. Football will survive.

    ReplyDelete
  179. At least my team is considerate. I know they're losing before the mid point of the second quarter.

    ReplyDelete
  180. Adam "Colorado" CurryNovember 30, 2014 at 11:58 AM

    In one game? Damn...

    ReplyDelete
  181. No. It's time for the giants to move on.

    ReplyDelete
  182. It shouldnt happen at all. A team with a losing record doesn't deserve a spot over ones that win.

    ReplyDelete
