  1. Daaaaaa Bears!

  2. I'm gonna need the Packers to cover this one. I'm not getting out of the hole I dug myself into with the Jets/Steelers and I'm not dumb enough to chase that loss, but man it would be nice to at least only have a "really bad" Sunday as opposed to the "got buried by HHH" Sunday.

    ReplyDelete
  3. I might watch that Survivor Series 1990 that they are airing. Haven't seen it in a couple years.

  5. I watched the shit out of that as a kid.

It does not hold up well at all though.

    ReplyDelete
  6. 3-1 so far today and I took the Packers giving 7.5 points tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Same here. I remember being 3 years old when we ordered it. The grand finale match was a cool concept.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Vegas was begging people to take the Steelers.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Survivor a Series 1990 was the first ppv I could get as a kid through "Suburban Cable."

    ReplyDelete
  10. Crazy idea, if WWE gave a crap about continuity and actually gave Raven a chance, wouldn't be cool if Raven was Bray's father?

    ReplyDelete
  11. They should cover, but they do have a lot of flaws.

    ReplyDelete
  12. My uncle had the black box and recorded it for me.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Jay Briscoe vs Adam Cole for the ROH title at Final Battle this year....NO BUYS!

    ReplyDelete
  14. I'm counting on the Bears to implode tonight

    ReplyDelete
  15. It should've been AJ Styles challenging, and fuck Jay Briscoe.

    ReplyDelete
  16. If Bears commit to the run, they could keep it close. Packers are dead last at stopping the run.

    ReplyDelete
  17. ANYONE but Jay and Cole.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Trestman will get canned if they continue to play the way they are right now.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Well, I wouldn't accept Mike Bennett challenging.

    ReplyDelete
  20. That's such a terrible main event. ROH has surely nosedived after Silken.

    ReplyDelete
  21. My cousin (who lived in Norristown and got different cable, probably whatever Comcast was before it was Comcast) tried to record Summerslam 1990 for me and ruined it; the first half of the show was recorded on fast forward (up to the end of Tito/Warlord) and the cage match was cut off... And I STILL watched the shit out of that tape!

    ReplyDelete
  22. Time to move O'reilly to the main event scene.

    ReplyDelete
  23. He should take Cutler down with him. The best WRs in the league and he still cannot produce.

Holy crap, those carnitas were AMAZING. Best birthday weekend ever. And I don't have to go in to work tomorrow.

  25. I bit hard. I put Steelers ML on literally 8 different multi teamers. It was my lynchpin game.

And I mean...that's why you don't lynchpin, but still, I wiped out like 4 weeks of gains just on those turnovers.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Fuck me, the guy I went up against in fantasy had Marshawn Lynch.

I need Rodgers to go off tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I was having an awesome season before I took the bait a few weeks ago with Packers over Saints. I've just managed to get my money back from that game.

So am I, glad I not the only one.

Complete random thought, but I just realized that 5 out of the last 6 US champs weren't even American.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Same. I love the Survivor Series.

    ReplyDelete
  49. All 6. Ambrose was born in Europe.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Yup! The Gobbledy Gooker?

    ReplyDelete
  51. Gobble gobble.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Good show.

    ReplyDelete
  53. I never seen people change their opinion on someone quite like they did with Aaron Rodgers.

    ReplyDelete
  54. I always liked when the teams had names and they had some sense of unity. A small one that doesn't get enough credit is the Dudleys and the Hardys wearing the same camo.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Why did they black out where it said WWF Intercontinental Champion?

    ReplyDelete
  56. What about Tom Brady from halfway through this year to now?

    ReplyDelete
  57. That gets bonus points for being so sudden.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Speaking of black out, I kind of miss Teddy Long's White Boy Challenge.

    ReplyDelete
  59. I mean overall. He went from a QB who was underrated constantly by the media all the way to one of their golden boys.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Rodney Mack had paler skin than most of the white guys on the roster at the time.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Super Bowl and MVP season changes the "narrative" I hate using that word but I couldn't think of a better one.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Yet his finisher was still called the Black Out.

    Loved it.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Yep. Born in the UK I believe.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  65. Not the 97 survivor series???

    ReplyDelete
  66. "Yep Mode" Abeyance Brown ©November 9, 2014 at 6:11 PM

    He was born in Ohio.

    ReplyDelete
  67. He had the best WR core in the league and a nasty defense when he won his SB. In terms of getting the most out of little, which I believe makes someone a real MVP, I have to give it to Tom Brady for the past 5 years, in spite of not winning a SB.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Brett Favre. From loved QB to "GET THE F OUT OF THE LEAGUE AND RETIRE ALREADY YOU OLD JEAN WEARING PIECE OF SHIT!"

  76. "Yep Mode" Abeyance Brown ©November 9, 2014 at 6:13 PM

Looks like someone is stealing the other guys thunder.

    ReplyDelete
  77. They should do that today with Heel Mark Henry

    ReplyDelete
  78. Well the Packers defense has certainly gone to the crapper since then. He's slowly lost his weapons but his production hasn't noticeably declined.

He's reached the place where it doesn't matter who he's got. When he had the weapons he had an all-time season.

    That avatar is classic.

    ReplyDelete
  87. Rodgers is great, no doubt about it. Easily top 3. But ever since that SB win, he hasn't won a single playoff game since. In 5 years, Brady has had mediocre at best WRs and the worst defense in the league.

    ReplyDelete
  88. I watched a movie the other night called "Wrong Side of Town" starring Rob Van Dam and Batista, with cameos by Viscera, Ja Rule and Omarion. Anybody here seen it?

    ReplyDelete
  89. It was a good movie, but James Cameron might be in over his head for the sequels.

    ReplyDelete
  90. Hmmm, perhaps.

    ReplyDelete
  91. Now, they're not sure because he lost to the Jets. Jk. Big Ben was a HOF QB before his 12 TDs.

    ReplyDelete
  92. Watching the rest of the Rangers game then back to the 1990 Survivor Series. I love the Sunday night old pay per views.

It was his birthday, my guess is that it was a present.

    ReplyDelete
  97. Well were in the same boat. Rodgers is Top 3. Rank them however you want.

The playoff loses hurt him and I say that as a Rodgers Homer. I don't remember the stats off the top of my head but he had a couple of good performances in the SF playoff losses. He crapped the bed big time against the Giants. His best array of weapons off a 15-1 MVP season and one-and-done. Should have been Pack/Pats that year. Crazy that Brady/Rodgers still haven't matched up.

    ReplyDelete
  98. Discount double check?

    ReplyDelete
  99. If Rodgers wins a playoff game this year, it will be a true testament to his ability, because this is the worst Packers teams he has had to deal with.

    ReplyDelete
  100. Bad but good enough for background noise. RVD is a former Navy SEAL who ends up being blamed for killing a crime boss' brother. So there's a $100,000 bounty on RVD's head, and he and his wife and friends have to make it out of the Wrong Side of Town with all of the criminals chasing them. Batista is only in like 3 scenes yet he's featured in the movie poster like he's the star.

    ReplyDelete
  101. Well if they play anyone but the 49ers...because the 49ers have made it a habit of abusing the Pack recently.

    ReplyDelete
  102. Extant1979 - Mr. Cable AccessNovember 9, 2014 at 6:22 PM

Yup, picked one up today. For those who missed it in the earlier thread, I got a little more than $500 for my birthday, so today I packed up the PS3, two controllers, Final Fantasy X/X-2 for the PS3 (still have it for the Vita) and WWE2K15 and walked over to Best Buy.

Those fuckers offered me $77 for the lot, saying the PS3 was in "fair" condition because it was dusty. I told them to fuck off, packed my stuff back up.

I walked over to the nearby GameStop to see what I could get from them. $182 in trade. Totally inexpected.

    ReplyDelete

Would have been funny if they change the wiki page beforehand.

    ReplyDelete
  104. I'm a very skeptical individual but I was sucked in by the Devon Still stuff on last Thursday. Then the NFL flushed all the goodwill they built up with me down the crapper by all their Veteran's Day propaganda they've been doing today.

    ReplyDelete
  105. I agree that he was, but it's like people just realized it this year.

    ReplyDelete
  106. Happy birthday.

    ReplyDelete
  107. Have you seen Tactical Force with Stone Cold on Netflix? It's a B-movie action cliche but it's fun.

    ReplyDelete
  108. A pair of 6 TD games will do that to you.

    ReplyDelete
  109. No, there's a Netflix movie starring Stone Cold that they keep recommending for me, but I think it's called something else. Something about boxing, I think.

    ReplyDelete
  110. This sounds awesome

    ReplyDelete
  111. I've seen that one. Well I haven't watched it but I've seen it as I've peruses titles on Netflix.

    ReplyDelete
  112. LOL $77. Happy Birthday to you. I'm surprised Gamestop gave you that much. I know they are offering $150 towards Xbox One if you trade in a 360. Maybe they were doing the same for PS3/PS4?

    Buy any games with it?

    ReplyDelete
  113. "Yep Mode" Abeyance Brown ©November 9, 2014 at 6:25 PM

I watched that one before, not great but a pretty decent made for TV film about underground fighting.

    ReplyDelete
  114. Veteran's Day propaganda is almost as bad as Pink October. They're both used for people to promote how awesome they are, but Pink October is more obnoxious.

    ReplyDelete
  115. Check out Tactical Force. It's got Austin and Michael Jai White.

    ReplyDelete
  116. Extant1979 - Mr. Cable AccessNovember 9, 2014 at 6:26 PM

The PS3 was $70 originally, $125 if it went to a PS4. Upping the offer $55 is kind of weird.

I also got a year of PlayStation Plus and the Wolf Among Us. I'll probably pick up Lego Batman 3 sometime soon, too.

    ReplyDelete
  117. "Yep Mode" Abeyance Brown ©November 9, 2014 at 6:27 PM

He better get the better version of 2K15 when it comes out.

    ReplyDelete
  118. What's the best World War 1/2 documentary series?

    ReplyDelete
  119. Cool. You'll get to play KH 3 when it comes out, too.

    ReplyDelete
  120. I'd agree with that. One month trumps a few days. As we speak, some marine chick is doing the national anthem at the Packers game. It never ends.

    ReplyDelete
  121. I guess they figure upping an extra $55 to ensure the money stays with the store instead of chancing that you take the $75 elsewhere.

    ReplyDelete
  122. Have you seen the "Marine" sequel with Ted DiBiase Jr.? It's not horrible.

    ReplyDelete
  123. She has a much better voice than I anticipated.

    ReplyDelete
  124. Extant1979 - Mr. Cable AccessNovember 9, 2014 at 6:29 PM

Getting the PS4 was completely for the games that should be coming out next year, less for the stuff that's out now.

    ReplyDelete
  125. I haven't. But I did think the first Marine was fun.

    ReplyDelete
  126. It was nice but just having the NFL's fingerprints on it just ruins it for me.

    ReplyDelete
  127. "Yep Mode" Abeyance Brown ©November 9, 2014 at 6:29 PM

    Wolf Among Us, good game.

    ReplyDelete
  128. Yeah there's not much out now at all. The Evil Within, NBA, NHL, and WWE are the only games I'd play if I had a 4.

    ReplyDelete
  129. Extant1979 - Mr. Cable AccessNovember 9, 2014 at 6:29 PM

I was getting it in store credit either way, so it was always staying in the store. Getting cash at GameStop is like half that price.

  130. So I was watching Inception earlier, and read an explanation of the ending that actually determined for real whether or not the ending was a dream or not. Pretty conclusive evidence in all honesty.

    ReplyDelete
  132. Same. I need Jordy Nelson to get me some points tonight..

    ReplyDelete
  133. Oh well that's a little weird then but hey that's an extra $55 for you.

    ReplyDelete
  151. Yeah, the spinning top was never Cobb's totem, as he states in the movie that it was his wife's. His wedding ring is his totem, as he wears it every time he's dreaming, but not when he's in the real world, especially when he's handing his passport over at the end.

Also, Michael Caine is never in his dreams, not to mention his kids age at the end.

It was ok... nothing groundbreaking or innovative. The PS3 roster had a horrible roster, the story modes were kind of dull. I don't know how different the next-gen version is, since it's not out yet, but I don't think I'm going to get the PS4 version.
