On tap for tonight:
On the WWE Network at 8:00pm EST they will be showing the 1990 Survivor Series show.
On NBC Sunday Night Football the Chicago Bears will face the Green Bay Packers at 8:20pm EST
There are also several NHL and NBA games going on tonight, none of which are Nationally televised.

Daaaaaa Bears!
ReplyDeleteI'm gonna need the Packers to cover this one. I'm not getting out of the hole I dug myself into with the Jets/Steelers and I'm not dumb enough to chase that loss, but man it would be nice to at least only have a "really bad" Sunday as opposed to the "got buried by HHH" Sunday.
ReplyDeleteI might watch that Survivor Series 1990 that they are airing. Haven't seen it in a couple years.
ReplyDeleteOver/Under Forte rushes and receptions: 25
ReplyDeleteUnder.
ReplyDeleteI watched the shit out of that as a kid.
ReplyDeleteIt does not hold up well at all though.
3-1 so far today and I took the Packers giving 7.5 points tonight.
ReplyDeleteSame here. I remember being 3 years old when we ordered it. The grand finale match was a cool concept.
ReplyDeleteVegas was begging people to take the Steelers.
ReplyDeleteSurvivor a Series 1990 was the first ppv I could get as a kid through "Suburban Cable."
ReplyDeleteCrazy idea, if WWE gave a crap about continuity and actually gave Raven a chance, wouldn't be cool if Raven was Bray's father?
ReplyDeleteThey should cover, but they do have a lot of flaws.
ReplyDeleteMy uncle had the black box and recorded it for me.
ReplyDeleteJay Briscoe vs Adam Cole for the ROH title at Final Battle this year....NO BUYS!
ReplyDeleteI'm counting on the Bears to implode tonight
ReplyDeleteIt should've been AJ Styles challenging, and fuck Jay Briscoe.
ReplyDeleteIf Bears commit to the run, they could keep it close. Packers are dead last at stopping the run.
ReplyDeleteANYONE but Jay and Cole.
ReplyDeleteTrestman will get canned if they continue to play the way they are right now.
ReplyDeleteWell, I wouldn't accept Mike Bennett challenging.
ReplyDeleteThat's such a terrible main event. ROH has surely nosedived after Silken.
ReplyDeleteMy cousin (who lived in Norristown and got different cable, probably whatever Comcast was before it was Comcast) tried to record Summerslam 1990 for me and ruined it; the first half of the show was recorded on fast forward (up to the end of Tito/Warlord) and the cage match was cut off... And I STILL watched the shit out of that tape!
ReplyDeleteTime to move O'reilly to the main event scene.
ReplyDeleteHe should take Cutler down with him. The best WRs in the league and he still cannot produce.
ReplyDeleteHoly crap, those carnitas were AMAZING. Best birthday weekend ever. And I don't have to go in to work tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteI bit hard. I put Steelers ML on literally 8 different multi teamers. It was my lynchpin game.
ReplyDeleteAnd I mean...that's why you don't lynchpin, but still, I wiped out like 4 weeks of gains just on those turnovers.
Fuck me, the guy I went up against in fantasy had Marshawn Lynch.
ReplyDeleteI need Rodgers to go off tonight.
I was having an awesome season before I took the bait a few weeks ago with Packers over Saints. I've just managed to get my money back from that game.
ReplyDeleteI got on my roof and tore down a tree with my bare hands and a hammer.
ReplyDeleteAJ Hawk has had a nice little career. Decade with the same team, a ring, and a good football name.
ReplyDelete*cue William Regal's original WWF theme*
ReplyDeleteBears need to start addressing the QB position in some way this upcoming draft.
ReplyDeleteHis podcast is called the Hawk Cast? When Hawk Nest is RIGHT THERE? WTF.
ReplyDeleteI was thrilled when Tito was the Survivor in his match. Loved that he went flying foerarm crazy that show too.
ReplyDeleteHe's a man, a real man's man!
ReplyDeleteAnd he has done all this despite being not that good.
ReplyDeleteJake Plummer's podcast has a better name. Snake's Takes!
ReplyDeleteAnyone else watching Survivor Series 1990?
ReplyDeleteI am.
ReplyDelete1987's unite!
ReplyDeleteWhat am I seeing here? I'm seeing double.
ReplyDeleteSo am I, glad I not the only one.
ReplyDeleteI think I'm gonna pass on the SNF game. I don't need 4 hours of Collinsworth brownnosing Aaron Rodgers.
ReplyDeleteWasn't SurSer 1990 terrible? I'm going to keep watching Basklash 08.
ReplyDelete"And WWE still didn't re-sign me!"
ReplyDelete-Chris Masters
It was pretty bad, but I'm a sucker for Survivor Series elimination matches.
ReplyDeleteI thought WWF changed his name at first but then he replied to it. Like Doink at WM9
ReplyDeleteIs that the one where all the survivors advanced to a grand finale match?
ReplyDeleteThere was an important debut
ReplyDeleteComplete random thought, but I just realized that 5 out of the last 6 US champs weren't even American.
ReplyDeleteSame. I love the Survivor Series.
ReplyDeleteAll 6. Ambrose was born in Europe.
ReplyDeleteYup! The Gobbledy Gooker?
ReplyDeleteGobble gobble.
ReplyDeleteGood show.
ReplyDeleteI never seen people change their opinion on someone quite like they did with Aaron Rodgers.
ReplyDeleteI always liked when the teams had names and they had some sense of unity. A small one that doesn't get enough credit is the Dudleys and the Hardys wearing the same camo.
ReplyDeleteWhy did they black out where it said WWF Intercontinental Champion?
ReplyDeleteWhat about Tom Brady from halfway through this year to now?
ReplyDeleteThat gets bonus points for being so sudden.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of black out, I kind of miss Teddy Long's White Boy Challenge.
ReplyDeleteI mean overall. He went from a QB who was underrated constantly by the media all the way to one of their golden boys.
ReplyDeleteHuh?
ReplyDeleteRodney Mack had paler skin than most of the white guys on the roster at the time.
ReplyDeleteSuper Bowl and MVP season changes the "narrative" I hate using that word but I couldn't think of a better one.
ReplyDeleteYet his finisher was still called the Black Out.
ReplyDeleteLoved it.
Yep. Born in the UK I believe.
ReplyDeleteWasn't it the Whiteout?
ReplyDeleteNot the 97 survivor series???
ReplyDeleteHe was born in Ohio.
ReplyDeleteHe had the best WR core in the league and a nasty defense when he won his SB. In terms of getting the most out of little, which I believe makes someone a real MVP, I have to give it to Tom Brady for the past 5 years, in spite of not winning a SB.
ReplyDeleteBrett Favre. From loved QB to "GET THE F OUT OF THE LEAGUE AND RETIRE ALREADY YOU OLD JEAN WEARING PIECE OF SHIT!"
ReplyDeleteProbably the best RKO meme yet
ReplyDeletehttps://youtube.com/watch?v=3poWChT6_mo
Ah! Made you look it up though. I had you buying it for a second.
ReplyDeleteThat would just strike a debate about a certain something.
ReplyDeleteLMAO
ReplyDeleteKanes in ring debut?
ReplyDeleteKingston wasn't born in the US, but is American.
ReplyDeleteWasn't that the month before lol.
ReplyDeleteLooks like someone is stealing the other guys thunder.
ReplyDeleteThey should do that today with Heel Mark Henry
ReplyDeleteSteve Blackman?
ReplyDeleteWell the Packers defense has certainly gone to the crapper since then. He's slowly lost his weapons but his production hasn't noticeably declined.
ReplyDeleteHe's reached the place where it doesn't matter who he's got. When he had the weapons he had an all-time season.
Nah, I already knew.
ReplyDeleteFor just in the course of one season, Ben Roethlisberger. He had those two monster games and now everyone's realized he's a future Hall of Famer.
ReplyDeleteYou don't have to lie to me Abey. I know.
ReplyDeleteHim wrestling in a match
ReplyDeleteWell, by the way he likes to sit around and play Madden, he certainly is American now.
ReplyDeleteThe Simpson's/ Futurama crossover episode is also tonight.
ReplyDeleteOh trust me, I knew......I just had to double check first.
ReplyDeleteThat avatar is classic.
ReplyDeleteRodgers is great, no doubt about it. Easily top 3. But ever since that SB win, he hasn't won a single playoff game since. In 5 years, Brady has had mediocre at best WRs and the worst defense in the league.
ReplyDeleteI watched a movie the other night called "Wrong Side of Town" starring Rob Van Dam and Batista, with cameos by Viscera, Ja Rule and Omarion. Anybody here seen it?
ReplyDeleteIt was a good movie, but James Cameron might be in over his head for the sequels.
ReplyDeleteHmmm, perhaps.
ReplyDeleteNow, they're not sure because he lost to the Jets. Jk. Big Ben was a HOF QB before his 12 TDs.
ReplyDeleteWatching the rest of the Rangers game then back to the 1990 Survivor Series. I love the Sunday night old pay per views.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a big fan of the design of the PS4, but I'm sure I'll learn to love it.
ReplyDeleteNo, heard of it. How was it?
ReplyDeleteThat sounds really 2001.
ReplyDeleteYou got one?
ReplyDeleteIt was his birthday, my guess is that it was a present.
ReplyDeleteWell were in the same boat. Rodgers is Top 3. Rank them however you want.
ReplyDeleteThe playoff loses hurt him and I say that as a Rodgers Homer. I don't remember the stats off the top of my head but he had a couple of good performances in the SF playoff losses. He crapped the bed big time against the Giants. His best array of weapons off a 15-1 MVP season and one-and-done. Should have been Pack/Pats that year. Crazy that Brady/Rodgers still haven't matched up.
Discount double check?
ReplyDeleteIf Rodgers wins a playoff game this year, it will be a true testament to his ability, because this is the worst Packers teams he has had to deal with.
ReplyDeleteBad but good enough for background noise. RVD is a former Navy SEAL who ends up being blamed for killing a crime boss' brother. So there's a $100,000 bounty on RVD's head, and he and his wife and friends have to make it out of the Wrong Side of Town with all of the criminals chasing them. Batista is only in like 3 scenes yet he's featured in the movie poster like he's the star.
ReplyDeleteWell if they play anyone but the 49ers...because the 49ers have made it a habit of abusing the Pack recently.
ReplyDeleteYup, picked one up today. For those who missed it in the earlier thread, I got a little more than $500 for my birthday, so today I packed up the PS3, two controllers, Final Fantasy X/X-2 for the PS3 (still have it for the Vita) and WWE2K15 and walked over to Best Buy.
ReplyDeleteThose fuckers offered me $77 for the lot, saying the PS3 was in "fair" condition because it was dusty. I told them to fuck off, packed my stuff back up.
I walked over to the nearby GameStop to see what I could get from them. $182 in trade. Totally inexpected.
Would have been funny if they change the wiki page beforehand.
ReplyDeleteI'm a very skeptical individual but I was sucked in by the Devon Still stuff on last Thursday. Then the NFL flushed all the goodwill they built up with me down the crapper by all their Veteran's Day propaganda they've been doing today.
ReplyDeleteI agree that he was, but it's like people just realized it this year.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday.
ReplyDeleteHave you seen Tactical Force with Stone Cold on Netflix? It's a B-movie action cliche but it's fun.
ReplyDeleteA pair of 6 TD games will do that to you.
ReplyDeleteNo, there's a Netflix movie starring Stone Cold that they keep recommending for me, but I think it's called something else. Something about boxing, I think.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds awesome
ReplyDeleteI've seen that one. Well I haven't watched it but I've seen it as I've peruses titles on Netflix.
ReplyDeleteLOL $77. Happy Birthday to you. I'm surprised Gamestop gave you that much. I know they are offering $150 towards Xbox One if you trade in a 360. Maybe they were doing the same for PS3/PS4?
ReplyDeleteBuy any games with it?
I watched that one before, not great but a pretty decent made for TV film about underground fighting.
ReplyDeleteVeteran's Day propaganda is almost as bad as Pink October. They're both used for people to promote how awesome they are, but Pink October is more obnoxious.
ReplyDeleteCheck out Tactical Force. It's got Austin and Michael Jai White.
ReplyDeleteThe PS3 was $70 originally, $125 if it went to a PS4. Upping the offer $55 is kind of weird.
ReplyDeleteI also got a year of PlayStation Plus and the Wolf Among Us. I'll probably pick up Lego Batman 3 sometime soon, too.
He better get the better version of 2K15 when it comes out.
ReplyDeleteWhat's the best World War 1/2 documentary series?
ReplyDeleteCool. You'll get to play KH 3 when it comes out, too.
ReplyDeleteI'd agree with that. One month trumps a few days. As we speak, some marine chick is doing the national anthem at the Packers game. It never ends.
ReplyDeleteI guess they figure upping an extra $55 to ensure the money stays with the store instead of chancing that you take the $75 elsewhere.
ReplyDeleteHave you seen the "Marine" sequel with Ted DiBiase Jr.? It's not horrible.
ReplyDeleteShe has a much better voice than I anticipated.
ReplyDeleteGetting the PS4 was completely for the games that should be coming out next year, less for the stuff that's out now.
ReplyDeleteThe world at war.
ReplyDeleteI haven't. But I did think the first Marine was fun.
ReplyDeleteIt was nice but just having the NFL's fingerprints on it just ruins it for me.
ReplyDeleteWolf Among Us, good game.
ReplyDeleteYeah there's not much out now at all. The Evil Within, NBA, NHL, and WWE are the only games I'd play if I had a 4.
ReplyDeleteI was getting it in store credit either way, so it was always staying in the store. Getting cash at GameStop is like half that price.
ReplyDeleteSo I was watching Inception earlier, and read an explanation of the ending that actually determined for real whether or not the ending was a dream or not. Pretty conclusive evidence in all honesty.
ReplyDeleteCena made Deathstroke and T-1000 job to him.
ReplyDeleteSame. I need Jordy Nelson to get me some points tonight..
ReplyDeleteOh well that's a little weird then but hey that's an extra $55 for you.
ReplyDeleteIs WWE 2k15 good?
ReplyDeleteI've been watching let's plays of The Evil Within, it's been, interesting.....
ReplyDeleteReal?
ReplyDeleteThat's what I've heard, plus, I love Fables. I'm excited.
ReplyDeleteLambeau Field is about 800 years old. Are we sure that stadium is safe enough to have 70,000 people in it?
ReplyDeleteYeah lots of jump scares and looks/plays like RE 4.
ReplyDeleteTuned into Survivor Series just in time to see MDM introduce Undertaker. Nice.
ReplyDeleteFor the last gen it's good only if you didn't play 2K14.
ReplyDeleteWell, it was created by the guy that made RE.
ReplyDeleteFirst play--flag. Joy.
ReplyDeleteAll the way to the 12?! And a penalty?! Great start!
ReplyDeleteEdge and Taker was awesome. The ending was incredible!
ReplyDeleteLists of decision making it that one, choose wisely.
ReplyDeleteHITC match?
ReplyDeleteIt's on watchseries if you can't find it anywhere else.
ReplyDeleteMust be why it looks like an RE. LOL.
ReplyDeleteChoke him out! I loved Taker adding the Gogoplata. It was just weird how they took forever to decide on a name for it.
ReplyDeleteIt's been rebuilt a few times over the years. I kind of miss the days when the Packers split their home games with Milwaukee.
ReplyDeleteYeah, the spinning top was never Cobb's totem, as he states in the movie that it was his wife's. His wedding ring is his totem, as he wears it every time he's dreaming, but not when he's in the real world, especially when he's handing his passport over at the end.
ReplyDeleteAlso, Michael Caine is never in his dreams, not to mention his kids age at the end.
Do you think Dusty and Valentine looked at each other's trunks and thought "Well, this is embarrassing?"
ReplyDeleteYeah, it's hard to follow at first, but eventually the story gets good.
ReplyDeleteYep. I never understood why people were so confused as to whether he was alive or not.
ReplyDeleteGod the Mass Effect Trilogy is addicting. I'm on the 1st one and can't stop playing it. Wish I had played these sooner.
ReplyDeleteBacklash 08.
ReplyDeleteFactsSolo?
ReplyDeleteYou trying to start a stable here buddy?
Fans cheering over the false start?
ReplyDeleteWith only 8 games I understand it. I actually miss the NBA doing that. I think it was the Celtics that would play a few games in Hartford. The Clips used to play a few in Anaheim, stuff like that.
ReplyDeleteTeam SolBro.
ReplyDeleteBut he used the spinning top on multiple occasions, so if it's not his totem, why he does that action?
ReplyDeleteThis whole time I thought YOU were FactsSolo.
ReplyDeleteMar doesn't have his account set to private.
ReplyDeleteBecause he can't let go of his wife, which was always Cobb's problem after she died.
ReplyDeleteIt's terrific.
ReplyDeleteWell... That first drive went better than I thought it would.
ReplyDeleteOddly enough I just found out yesterday that the Kings used to play half their games in Nebraska when they were in Kansas City.
ReplyDeleteI do what I want.
ReplyDeleteIt was ok... nothing groundbreaking or innovative. The PS3 roster had a horrible roster, the story modes were kind of dull. I don't know how different the next-gen version is, since it's not out yet, but I don't think I'm going to get the PS4 version.
ReplyDeleteMcGarnagle: Now tell them what you saw Billy.
ReplyDeleteBilly: But I'm so scared McGarnagle.
McGarnagle: You've gotta do this one for me Billy, McGarnagle.
Billy: Okay for you McGarnagle.
Chief: [later] Well McGarnagle, Billy is dead! They slit his throat from ear to ear.
McGarnagle: Hey I'm trying to eat lunch here!
I grew up a Bears fan but abandoned them once we got the Panthers. After Walter Payton left they just couldn't hit on a running back. Neal Anderson, Rashaan Salaam, Curtis Enis, A-Train. They drafted everyone that could be a candidate for a 30 for 30 episode.
ReplyDeleteWith that My Career mode, you better get it.
ReplyDeleteI just found out Nintendo is releasing Majora's Mask on the 3DS.
ReplyDeleteAt the rate they're releasing Zelda games, I'm never going to play any new releases ever again.
You could see it coming as soon as he started dating Olivia Munn; talk about tainting the aura
ReplyDeletePatriots are +2.5 next week.
ReplyDeletePanthers have looked closer the last couple years. Like, a couple pieces missing.
ReplyDeleteDoes the PS4 version have a better roster?
ReplyDeleteI think that would do a lot to grow the fanbase. Especially in places like Atlanta and Charlotte that can fill the place up anyway. Try a game in Raliegh/Durham or something.
ReplyDeleteThey were actualy the Kansas City-Omah Kings at one point
ReplyDeleteWii U one comes out next year.
ReplyDeleteRodgers is capable of throws that are works of art.
ReplyDeleteCarson Palmer signed $119M deal w/ Bengals Dec. 29, 2005; tore ACL 10 days later. Palmer signed $50M deal Fri; AZ fears he tore ACL today.
ReplyDeleteI won $200 fading the Bills. Yay. Next spot to fade them is vs. Cleveland.
ReplyDelete"No home is complete without a proper toolbox. Here’s April and Andy’s: A hammer, a half eaten pretzel, a baseball card, some cartridge that says Sonic and Hedgehog, a scissor half, and a flashlight....... filled with jellybeans.”
ReplyDeleteYeah, meanwhile Grand Theft Auto V, which has been out for a year, has literally seen about an hour of playtime thanks to all the Zelda content.
ReplyDeletethey need a running game and and o-line. Stewart and Williams are done.
ReplyDeleteI think it has the same roster, with the inclusion of Hogan, but it's a new era, you gotta think they are just taking baby steps in the roster department.....plus they need that DLC money.
ReplyDeleteAwful luck.
ReplyDeleteI'd give up two ACLs for $169M.
ReplyDeleteHow's Disneyland going? Staying on property?
ReplyDeleteThe cost of the season pass alone is enough to turn me off from the game.
ReplyDeleteI'm about 12 hours into Wind Waker HD. Beautiful game so far.
ReplyDelete
