HOF Class of 2015

  Hi Scott,
With Survivor Series coming up this weekend, it's seems like it's time for the HOF predictions to start up again. Considering the previous HOFs, There seems to be 5-6 guys inducted every year plus a Celebrity, so I thought it would lead to an interesting blog discussion to see what you predict would be the HOF class for 2015, not your dream class but a legitimate prediction.
My prediction:
Headliner: Sting
Semi Headliner; Kevin Nash
Deceased Wrestler: Davey Boy Smith
Pre-Hulkamania: Stan Stasiak
Midcarder: Sean Waltman
International Star: Great Muta
Celebrity: Cyndi Lauper

Sting for 100% sure goes in this year.  Probably also Randy Savage, finally.  I feel like they might do a pity induction for Kamala given his recent circumstances. They also typically put a Diva in, which feels like the right time for Sable.  I just don't see them putting Bulldog in given the circumstances around his death and breaking ties with Harry.  I don't think putting Nash in would be a good idea, unless they want the lowest-drawing Hall of Fame in history.

Comments

  1. The combo of Nash's ego and HHH being in his position of power tell me that Nash would probably be a headliner. Not that anyone else would see him that way, but Nash and Waltman probably get higher profile when the day comes

    ReplyDelete
  2. Muta going in the same year as Sting would be awesome

    ReplyDelete
  3. sad to see Savage not a headliner but at this point why would he be? Headliners need to be able to talk and very few have an interest in Lanny Poffo speaking. Probably best to burn his induction off on the "undercard" and give Lanny 10 minutes to babble. It ends the conroversy of him not being in and keeps Lanny from getting to much mic time. But they better have Kane ready to cut him off like they did Mr. T and his momma.

    ReplyDelete
  4. If I was a betting man, Sting's the only name on this list I'd put money on.

Definitely eliminate DBS and Muta (I doubt he gives a shit, is busy with Wrestle-1), and the rest are solid guesses, but not anything to throw some money on.

  5. The Ghost Of Meekin's MoobsNovember 22, 2014 at 7:30 AM

    Sting
    Ivan Koloff
    Madusa
    Big Bossman
    Midnight Express
    Bushwhackers
    Celebrity

    ReplyDelete
  6. Bushwhackers? really?
    They were godawful.

    ReplyDelete
  7. I can't see them doing Kamala unless they pay for his surgeries & prosthetics. Otherwise t will be a hell of a downer induction.

    ReplyDelete
  8. The Ghost Of Meekin's MoobsNovember 22, 2014 at 7:33 AM

They were not godawful as the Sheepherders and then they had a seven year run in the WWF. They are more deserving than some already in the hall.

    ReplyDelete
  9. I remember that Wrestlemania where Celebrity was in Midcarder's corner. Good times.

    ReplyDelete
  10. There is no doubt Waltman deserve to go in but there is no way even being friends with HHH he will go in as a headliner.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Every year, I wait with bated breath for the illustrious career of Mantaur to be recognized in the Hall of Fame.

Every year, I'm left disappointed and depressed.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Being crap for a long time does not mean you become a legend.
Just being around for a long time means nothing. The Harris Brothers have been wrestling for 30 years should they go in the HOF as well?

    ReplyDelete
  13. El Torito has a better chance than Mantaur of being inducted.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Don't forget Madusa as a potential Diva HOFer. I'm not sure how much Sable is interested in being involved with WWE again.

    ReplyDelete
  15. I think Luger's going in this year.. either with Sting or with Sting doing the honors for him. I also think Savage is going in with his announcement being a huge deal similar to Bruno's and the Warrior's.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Considering WWE haven't even invited Madusa to be interviewed for the various Monday Night Wars documentaries, I doubt she is anywhere near being back in the good graces enough to be inducted.

    ReplyDelete
  17. If Celebrity could have sold the Move better then it could have been a great Match at the Show.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Yeah, they don't do dead guys as headliners. Too much of a downer. Honestly, that's the main reason why I don't think Savage is in yet.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Something something Koko B Ware

    ReplyDelete
  20. Despite the jokes, Koko was major name in his pre-WWF days at a time when a Black man being popular with White audiences was incredibly rare. During his WWF run he was a big name and a big factor in the Rock n' Wrestling era.
Simply being less over than Hogan does not disqualify you from being in the HOF.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Bruiser Brody and Jim Cornette should be in

    ReplyDelete
  22. Extant1979 - Mr. Cable AccessNovember 22, 2014 at 7:49 AM

Why would WWE put Muta in the HoF? That doesn't make any sense.

Now that all my WWE Network devices are functioning properly, I noticed that there's a resume watching tab, and I just switched from my tablet to the PS4 and continued watching my program. Good stuff!

    ReplyDelete
  23. Who would do Macho's induction though? I dont think Hogan would do a classy job. Liz is dead. Flair was a great opponent, but is he really appropriate?

    ReplyDelete
  24. Traylor's a good dark horse candidate, surprising he hasn't "snuck in" yet. (He's definitely worthy IMO, just one of those "Oh, he's not in yet?" names)

    ReplyDelete
  25. I think we'd all agree the Miz would be the best choice

    ReplyDelete
  26. Extant1979 - Mr. Cable AccessNovember 22, 2014 at 7:52 AM

It's gotta be Hogan, wouldn't you think? Unless they went with either Steamboat or DDP - two other guys he had memorable feuds with...

    ReplyDelete
  27. I think of the 3, DDP would be best. Hogan would make it all about himself, Steamboat never really did much for me on the mic

    ReplyDelete
  28. Lanny would accept for him, but the Induction is done by someone else.

    ReplyDelete
  29. dead people don't sell tickets

    ReplyDelete
  30. No chance unless the whole family goes in. And the chances of that happening are roughly the chances of WWE going bankrupt by the end of 2015.

    ReplyDelete
  31. If you honestly think Vince is still butthurt about the title in the trash thing, you're a bigger mark for the belt than Bret Hart.

She and WWE are cool. She has a WWE Alumni profile and a Where Are They Now? feature on the website and everything.

    ReplyDelete
  32. They've put other international stars in which don't have any direct involvement with WWE, it's a great way to present it as a legitimate HOF and to build bridges within the industry.

    ReplyDelete
  33. And for either of those articles, did they have to speak to her or pay her? No. There is a major difference between admitting she existed and inducting her into the HOF.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Luger. They had a hell of a rivalry in 1995.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Who does the speeches?
    Sting? Maybe Flair?
    Nash, probably HHH or HBK
    Davey, how about Bret?
    Waltman, HHH
    Stasiak, maybe his son?

    ReplyDelete
  36. Sting steps to the podium and Luger heels on him

    ReplyDelete
  37. Lawler worked with him quite a bit in Memphis. He could do it

    ReplyDelete
  38. Extant1979 - Mr. Cable AccessNovember 22, 2014 at 7:58 AM

But Muta is still working, isn't he? Didn't he JUST appear on Bound For Glory? WWE may not consider TNA as competition, but they aren't going to go out of their way to honor a guy who was just working with them.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Savage should definitely go in. Nash needs to go in ASAP as well. The sooner we get that done, the sooner we get the NWO being inducted as a group, which would be perfect for 2016 the following year since it'll be the 20 year anniversary since the group formed.

    ReplyDelete
  40. The nWo as a group is fine.

Nash by himself is fucking ridiculous.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Kinda have to talk to her for where are they now. She also put a picture of her royalities check online so...

    ReplyDelete
  42. Lanny Poffo. Oh wait I guess he would accept, wouldn't he?

Just based on the bits I've seen of Poffo on the documentary, he should do both. I'd love to hear him talk about Randy for a couple of hours.

So yeah, Lawler, Hogan, or Flair could induct.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Black/white....I didn't know he wrestled in the 60s

Being a jobber in the 80s does not make you a hall of famer

    ReplyDelete
  44. Sideways option: Jerry Lawler, as someone involved in Savage's early career. Even if a fair amount of that was in opposition.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Deceased/pre-Hulkamania - Ray Stevens

    ReplyDelete
  46. Extant1979 - Mr. Cable AccessNovember 22, 2014 at 8:01 AM

If Razor Ramon could go in, Diesel should have his moment, too.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Not as a headliner, duh. But as #4/#5 guy, sure.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Crush? He had a great feud with Savage and was a close friend. Wait, he's dead.
Sherri? She was his valet for a while. Wait, she's dead too.
Warrior? They had a monumental feud. Wait, also dead.

    This speculation is depressing.

    ReplyDelete
  49. How is it any more ridiculous than Scott Hall getting inducted? Nash, terrible draw or not, was still a world champion, and if we're going by his WCW career, then he definitely deserves an induction. Also, this isn't even credible like a real HOF should be anyway. If the likes of Koko B. Ware can get in, Nash most certainly can.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Extant1979 - Mr. Cable AccessNovember 22, 2014 at 8:02 AM

That might be the best suggestion yet...

    ReplyDelete
  51. Madusa was overrated, and she burned those bridges with the WWE to the ground. She's not getting in and she doesn't deserve to be in anyway.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Extant1979 - Mr. Cable AccessNovember 22, 2014 at 8:02 AM

    Classy

    ReplyDelete
  53. Likey since it is in California. Is Nick Bockwinkle in yet

    ReplyDelete
  54. Hogan is pretty much the only living person that makes sense.

    ReplyDelete
  55. 2007 for Nick. And a definite YES to the idea of Stevens going in. Hopefully Bobby Heenan's available for his induction.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Yes. In the Bay Area. Pat Patterson can do his intro

    ReplyDelete
  57. Sting, Randy Savage and Sable as a top three makes great sense. Maybe even add Angleo Poffo as well (he did run an opposition territory to Memphis that lead to an "invasion" angle that actually kinda worked, didn't it? That alone is historic). Then who cares who else they induct. Does Don Owens' family have any tapes of Portland wrestling they sell to get him inducted?

    ReplyDelete
  58. Patterson, Heenan, Bockwinkel would be my first three calls.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Razor Ramon is in, Nash is in. Nash is a bigger name than Jake Roberts and we all wanted to see him go in

    ReplyDelete
  60. Good point.

Hall going in by himself was kind of ridiculous too.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Before Ray Stevens, Lou Thesz needs to be inducted.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Except they did interview her for the Where Are They Now feature. Did you bother to look it up before responding?

    ReplyDelete
  63. That could be cool.

    ReplyDelete
  64. She still gets royalty checks from WWE and has been featured on the website. She's not an enemy of the state.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Jake Roberts headlines B shows in the 80s when the company ran three shows a night.

Nash headline the only tour and was the lowest drawing champion in history.

Jake was a master psychologist in the ring, Nash was a terrible worker who only had four moves, and that's if you count the hair flip.

    Nash also killed WCW.

Yeah Nash isn't a bigger name than Jake Roberts. I bet more people know who Jake the Snake is than "Diesel."

    ReplyDelete
  66. Actually, Randy's mom is still alive (I think, I just saw her on the DVD doc preview so hopefully nothing bad has happen) and his last wife is probably also still alive, so either of those could accept and Lanny could induct.

    ReplyDelete
  67. if Lawler isn't the Raw commentaror, but the Memphis legend, then yeah that could be cool.

Or it could be 20 minutes of puppies jokes about Elizabeth.

    ReplyDelete
  68. "Fuck you Meltzer, Sting's in OUR Hall of Fame."

    ReplyDelete
  69. if they put watts in, crockett should go too. It would be an excuse to put out a dvd set of his territory

    ReplyDelete
  70. If being a part of TNA for the last decade doesn't stop WWE from inducting Sting, why do you think that a one shot appearance will stop them from inducting Muta?

    ReplyDelete
  71. Lawler and Savage did make a fair bit of money right before Savage went to New York. I'm fairly sure Lawler could keep on topic.

    ReplyDelete
  72. god that lineup would be awful. And that is why Randy getting in the HOF is meaningless. No one cares to hear from his mom, the wife no one has heard of, and his idiot brother.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Luger should induct Brody.

    ReplyDelete
  74. Extant1979 - Mr. Cable AccessNovember 22, 2014 at 8:17 AM

Because Sting SIGNED A DEAL with the WWE, he was featured heavily on the promotion for the new video game. Muta, on the other hand, is still dealing with his own promotion in Japan and just had a partnership with another organization. It's not apples-to-apples.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Is Don Owens in the WON Hall of Fame? I kinda think he makes sense to go in, but if there are no tapes of Portland TV, they probably won't do it.

    ReplyDelete
  76. Maybe 2% of the fans would know who he is, but Bill Apter would be a good choice too

    ReplyDelete
  77. You really need to watch the teaser of Randy's doc on the WWE Network. Poffo's comments are pretty brilliant, actually, and I think he would do a great job inducting. The acceptance speech from mom or wife would just need to be a simple few minutes of "Randy loved wrestling."

    ReplyDelete
  78. Jim Cornette, is that you?

Nash was also central to a pretty profitable angle that made WCW the #1 promotion.

Nash was a multi time world champ in the top two companies and a big part of the Monday night wars.

    Nash did not "kill WCW".

Being a terrible worker has nothing to do with any of it

Jake is a big name to those of us who grew up with 80s wrestling. He doesnt really have historical influence or a long list of classic matches though. Roberts is a personal favorite, but If he is in, then so is Nash.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Extant1979 - Mr. Cable AccessNovember 22, 2014 at 8:20 AM

Given how much they've been using the PWI guys as talking heads lately, I would dig it.

    ReplyDelete
  80. OK.

Doesn't change that she's overrated and doesn't deserve it.

    ReplyDelete
  81. I get the joke, but really it would need to be foley or terry funk

    ReplyDelete
  82. IIRC, she did it as a response to people who were saying WWE doesn't pay it's former talent

    ReplyDelete
  83. Nash may never be considered a high flyer or a great technical wrestler but he was a major name in both WCW & WWF, he competed in some great matches and classic angles and he is still a known name today.
He is a lock for the Hall Of Fame.

    ReplyDelete
  84. I've seen plenty of "I can suck my own dick" Lanny. He's a jackass with an overinflated opinion of himself and his family's importance (one shared by Randy actually). As I mentioned in another thread, I was a big Lanny fan in the 80s. But seeing his interviews since, he is just a grade A jackass. Add in the fact that he is on record as believing the Steph/Randy rumors and it's not a good fit.

    ReplyDelete
  85. Heenan can't talk and looks a mess

    ReplyDelete
  86. Extant1979 - Mr. Cable AccessNovember 22, 2014 at 8:24 AM

Hh. I take back my sarcasm.

    ReplyDelete
  87. Due to Throat Cancer and other issues he literally can't talk anymore for more than a few words at a time. He is not going to be able to perform an induction speech.

    ReplyDelete
  88. I've had the Summerslam theme in my head all morning. I'm just going to imagine the WWE having the HoF discussion while that music plays.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3DDU1X7Bq2g

    ReplyDelete
  89. I love telling this story: One time I was a Raw taping in Hershey, and I bumped into Bill Apter. And I asked him if he knew wrestling was fake.

    ReplyDelete
  90. And what was his response?

    ReplyDelete
  91. It's a real shame that the only footage of Portland Wrestling that apparently exists is 4th and 5th generation quality from whatever the fans ( and the late Buddy Rose) recorded from the original broadcasts.

Portland was a great promotion. And from what I understand, Don Owens was one of the most well liked promoters next only to perhaps Paul Boesch.

    ReplyDelete
  92. So, if Savage finally does go in, either they include the entire Poffo family or Lanny's explanation for Randy not being inducted is bull.

    ReplyDelete
  93. I think he said something like, "What?" and the girl writer (not Liz Hunter, the real one) was with him and she made a joke like about Bob being fake(?), but yeah he did know it was fake and was actually quite pleasant about it. I mean, looking back I was being a real dick, but I'd been in enough crowds to know plenty of people still thought it was real. Hell two years later I was at a Raw taping and I'm surrounded by a bunch of farmers that thought it was all real. And this was with Undertaker and Kane using their powers to make turnbuckles explode and everything.

I couldn't wrap my head around the "mark mags" knowing it was fake and using that as a way to make money, and that the promotions would help them, you know?

    ReplyDelete
  94. The Roddy Piper DVD set from close to ten years ago (geez, how time flies!) had Portland footage that was said to have been culled from a fan's personal collection.

Therefore, my guess is either the Owebs family no longer has the footage or no longer cares to be associated with wrestling.

It's a shame as I LOVE Portland Wrestling.

    ReplyDelete
  95. Yeah, I was worried he'd deteriorated further, and I also missed Bockwinkle's health struggles.

    ReplyDelete
  96. For a celebrity they might as well put that deformed cat in or the gay guy with a family who's show comes on after Raw

Or they could have a contest and the fan that wins could be inducted.

Or that redhead from mythbusters. I know she has nothing to do with wrestling, but I like looking at her on tv

    ReplyDelete
  97. Or, they just go against Randy's wishes and Poffo's okay with cooperating with that because Randy deserves the honor.

A good compromise would be Randy and Angelo going in (as a promoter he ran a successful outlaw promotion, and the stories about that feel like a good story for an induction), with Lanny handling inductions or accepting for both.

    ReplyDelete
  98. Extremely sad as I was a huge Bobby Heenan fan growing up.

Much of his commentary from the '80's and early '90's is still hilarious to this day.

    ReplyDelete
  99. they could have him do it charades style, but that might take too long

    ReplyDelete
  100. There's so many legitimate Celebrities they could induct. Cyni Lauper, Muhammad Ali, Andy Kaufman, David Arquette, Dennis Rodman, Lawrence Taylor, Floyd Mayweather & Jay leno would all be decent entrants.

    ReplyDelete
  101. Man CM Punk is the greatest performer of this generation.

    ReplyDelete
  102. Is Bob Uecker in the "celeb wing" yet?

    ReplyDelete
  103. Arquette because they could make fun of WCW the whole time, which they LOVE to do.

Then the night after WrestleMania they can have Screech from Saved by the Bell win the WWE title or something.

    ReplyDelete
  104. Completely unrelated but the Network is showing a category for Tribute To The Troops under In Ring shows, it's empty at the moment but it looks like these are going to be uploaded very soon.

    ReplyDelete
  105. Why aren't we talking about them inducting Elizabeth, too?

    ReplyDelete
  106. That first one that aired on Christmas had some pretty good wrestling, I remember. At least I think I remember. That was like 2002 or 2003.

    ReplyDelete
  107. Lanny's interviews sound like he wouldn't go along with that. Because getting into a bogus HOF is super important to these people, for some reason.

I really just want more stupid Savage/Young Stephanie rumors.

    ReplyDelete
  108. This is it though, this is the last big return/debut. There's nobody else left of any importance who never wrestled in the WWE that ever could. It's like the final tick in the box of the whole Monday Night Wars era of wrestling.

    ReplyDelete
  109. Fuck yeah dude. I ended up staying up an hour and a half later than I wanted to last night watching Sting videos on YouTube. I just wish Tony Schiavone was there to make the announcement.

    ReplyDelete
  110. I can't believe people are mad that Sting is appearing. Super duper smarks at their worst.

    ReplyDelete
  111. Bertram Stevenson

    ReplyDelete
  112. They've even revived the stooges gimmick with Noble and Mercury.

    ReplyDelete
  113. This, many people want to see an Undertaker vs. Sting match too - the people hating on this get me even more. You think it will be bad? Okay. Usually there is a match/segment that blows ass for at least 30+ minutes of any Mania card so that can be the one you think sucks then. The rest of us will be looking forward to it.

It's not like the Bret Hart vs. Vince McMahon thing where it was just a terribly executed sham, Sting can still work a match.

    ReplyDelete
  114. I honestly don't know how people can be unhappy about this. I've been down on the WWE for years and I'm actually intrigued. It's like nothing makes people happy anymore.

It's not as if Sting will be wearing the title and going over people for months.

    ReplyDelete
  115. Pretty much. I had The Maltese Falcon on beta. Awesome movie and awesome player.

Teen Titans Go did a quick bit about Beta/VHS a while back.

    ReplyDelete
  116. I wonder what his role will be. Maybe a Team Cena guy gets attacked backstage and Sting replaces him? Or maybe there's more money to be made with him as a heel siding with the authority. But knowing WWE, he'll probably revealed as the guy in the bunny costume.

    ReplyDelete
  117. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5KgbtYAgxJc

    Heel trailer for SS!

    ReplyDelete
  118. Here's how you make that work - have a few people in bunny outfits storm the ring. Rose dispatches of all of them, and he hits one, who removes the headgear to reveal Sting. Can't tell me that wouldn't get a ridiculous pop.

    ReplyDelete
  119. At this point, sure, I'd take that.

    ReplyDelete
  120. Hey thanks for posting that. I love the "honest trailers" for movies and video games on youtube but didn't know there were ones for wrestling. I'll have to check them all out. Thanks.

    ReplyDelete
  121. I paid to see WCW die at Spring Stampede '99. I Paid to see Sting, then Flair.

    ReplyDelete
  122. Mad is definitely a strong word, but I assure you that I equally can't believe that anyone would be excited to see a 55 year old, lifetime WCW guy, appear in anything beyond a promotional appearance in 2014.

    I just don't get it.

    ReplyDelete
  123. YankeesHoganTripleHFanNovember 22, 2014 at 10:14 AM

The famous singer Sting is going to be at SS? Cool. I assume its to sing his awesome 80's song called "Russians" to Rusev.

    ReplyDelete
  124. Not mad, I've just been used to seeing Sting regularly from a week to week basis for the last 6-7 years. I understand how big of a deal this is, just don't understand how this benefits the future of WWE at all.

    ReplyDelete
  125. Thanks. Didn't know this existed, made me laugh a few times but nowhere near as good as Honest Trailers for Movies or the "Everything Wrong With" series which are the best thing on Youtube at the moment.

    ReplyDelete
  126. and also that comparison doesn't seem to apply (at least not completely): for example, Hogan worked fine in 2005 and 2006's WWE (the former with him headlining having a great buyrate), but him appearing in TNA three years later seemingly had hardly any effect.

    ReplyDelete
  127. But you do speak for those millions of WWE fans worldwide?

    ReplyDelete
  128. he can't even given him "his spot", because why would Cena want to be the modern Sting if he can be the modern Hogan?

    ReplyDelete

  130. Adam "Colorado" CurryNovember 22, 2014 at 10:33 AM

Sheamus too, and everyone would be better off for it.

    ReplyDelete
  131. Given the low Network subscriptions, WWE is sending out an SOS

    ReplyDelete
  132. who exactly is "mad"? almost all posts here are either people being excited or people not caring?!

    ReplyDelete
  133. Adam "Colorado" CurryNovember 22, 2014 at 10:34 AM

I'd rather see the singer than the wrestler.

    ReplyDelete
  134. Adam "Colorado" CurryNovember 22, 2014 at 10:35 AM

Exactly. I'm not mad, I just don't give a shit. If it was 1999 or so I'd care.

    ReplyDelete
  135. there were full movies on laserdisc, so it was at least big enough for the "average" movie length.

    ReplyDelete
  136. Sting is coming FULL FORCE to turn the tables on the Authority. YEP.

    ReplyDelete
  137. Adam "Colorado" CurryNovember 22, 2014 at 10:37 AM

Also, Sting should have had a move called the Message in a Bottle.

    ReplyDelete
  138. although one could argue that the Bluray vs. HD-DVD war was (at least to a certain degree) also decided by the former being available in many households as part of the PS3.

That's the way to give him heat.

  144. Maybe they just realized Erick Rowan was on Cena's team... so they'll just go ahead and... fix that.

  145. I hope he smashes a ukulele over Rusev's head.

  146. HHH - I called my good friend Sting. He said, Trips, when do you need me?" I said, "Mania XXX." He said, "I'm busy April." I said, "What about August?" He said, "August's worse than April." Then he said, "How about Survivor Series?" I said, "Fine." True story!

  147. Or he comes out dressed as Ciclope and everybody's all "HAW HAW WHAT'S CICLOPE DOING HERE MAGGLE!!" and then he unmasked as Sting and then it makes sense.

  148. It's funny how when you're drunk $11 for a poutine and Pepsi seems reasonable.

    ReplyDelete
  149. Then why does my Star Wars laserdisc occupy 2 full LDs, both sides?

    ReplyDelete
  150. I speak for the millions of wrestling fans who didn't buy a TNA PPV when Sting was main eventing. He isn't a draw anymore.
You can speak for the 5000 fans who like you bought TNA PPVs with Sting main eventing.

    ReplyDelete
  151. Oh my god, I laughed so hard at this.

    ReplyDelete
  152. Because he can still work, still draw money, and is a name they can bank one. Of course, Vince could book Bryan and Punk in an iron man and the marks would find a way to bitch about that, too.

    ReplyDelete
  153. I'm intrigued, only because he's going to be more motivated since he's in front of an actual crowd for once.

I'm worried the reactions from the crowd might be too much for his ears. I mean, there's going to be THOUSANDS of people at Survivor Series cheering for him.

  154. "I speak for the millions of wrestling fans who didn't buy a TNA PPV when Sting was main eventing."

No you really don't. People don't buy TNA PPV no matter who is on it.

"You can speak for the 5000 fans who like you bought TNA PPVs with Sting main eventing."

I don't speak for anyone, and I didn't claim to. You don't speak for anyone other than yourself despite claiming to.

Move along now, this is no good for you.

  155. It still baffles me how they totally botched Ziggler after he beat Orton clean as a sheet with a super kick at Survivor Series, and then beat Cena the next month at TLC.

Sure, the title win after Wrestlemania was amazing (why they don't do these things at WRESTLEMANIA to create these WRESTLEMANIA MOMENTS that they constantly tout is baffling), but then the Swagger head injury totally derailed him even further than Cena kicking out of every single move of his.

  156. I think that all of those statements are questionable at best, but you are certainly entitled to your opinion.

    ReplyDelete
  157. He put the idea there... that bastard.

    Cue Hans Zimmer.

    ReplyDelete
  158. Wrong, TNA isn't a draw.

Seriously, look at RVD in TNA then look at him when he came back. Dude was motivated. I can't imagine what Sting working in front of an actual crowd would be like.

    ReplyDelete
  159. And again, it scares me that America has elected officials that honestly believe that Evolution doesn't exist.

    ReplyDelete
  160. His hearing probably isn't what it used to be.

    ReplyDelete
  161. On Monday, it'll be "Sting will make his debut at TLC."

    ReplyDelete
  162. Every breathe we take, we'll be watching it.

    ReplyDelete
  163. RVD was an established WWE star just like Christian when he returned. Sting isn't. Sting main-eventing got about 5000 buys. Why do you think that he will bump any sales for WWE? If he gets brought into WWE and given a match then any additional buys/subscriptions would be down to the WWE hype machine which could be better used for someone who can still wrestle.
Sting is a Hall Of Famer but he is not relevant today and current fans don't care. Just because you care about him as a hardcore fan doesn't mean that most fans will do.

    ReplyDelete
  164. kinda like Sting.
    Too old: Won't watch.

    ReplyDelete
  165. What the hell I'll play.

"RVD was an established WWE star just like Christian when he returned. Sting isn't."

I have no idea what any of this has to do with anything.

"Sting main-eventing got about 5000 buys."

Again no ne has been a draw for TNA so this is pointless.

" Why do you think that he will bump any sales for WWE?"

Please cite where I said this.

"If he gets brought into WWE and given a match then any additional buys/subscriptions would be down to the WWE hype machine which could be better used for someone who can still wrestle."

Please support this with facts. If you don't know what a fact is it is something like this "Sting has never been in WWE but is still a top 10 merhcandise mover".

"Sting is a Hall Of Famer but he is not relevant today and current fans don't care."

Reconcile this with his merch sales.

"Just because you care about him as a hardcore fan..."

    show where I said this.

"doesn't mean that most fans will do."

Nor does you saying it won't mean they won't.

Again, just stop, for your own good.

  166. The real question is who is going to turn on Sting at Survivor Series.

    Cena?
    Big Show?

    ReplyDelete
  167. Sting vs undertaker at wrestlemania is better w out streak. No way would sting beat streak but if done now the outcome is more unpredictable

    ReplyDelete
  168. And yet, Starrcade 97 did happen.
