I was just thinking to myself that the thing holding Roman Reigns back from greatness is that he doesn't have enough nicknames yet. Like with Steve Austin, who didn't really break through as a top level guy until he became "The Rattlesnake" in addition to "Stone Cold". So clearly, the solution for Reigns is to have even more nicknames. Now, we of course all know and love him as The Juggernaut and the Big Dog and use those in everyday conversation ("Yo, dog, did you peep the Juggernaut on RAW last night? The Big Dog was wiggity-wack!") but I feel like he needs at least another four WWE-mandated nicknames for Maggle Cole to tell us about before he'll have the support to beat Brock Lesnar.
So fire away.
HAHAHAHA, right I'm sure of that. Dude, you consistently write posts bringing me up out of nowhere, not to mention your trollish replies to me directly. You're a crazy person, I wouldn't believe you for a second.
ReplyDeleteI just wish you'd calm down and find something that makes you less angry is all.
Exxactly right.
ReplyDeleteBelieve me, I wouldn't be heartbroken if either of you were banned. I just prefer letting the dummy string himself up first.
ReplyDeleteI know we hear the whole CC thing (weren't all RAws CCed back then anyway?) but I wonder if some of it is Vince being afraid to compare the product today to then? It's all I got at this point other than a shocking lack of understanding how important variety is to a streaming on demand service
ReplyDeleteThe Disciple of Jerry Lawler.
ReplyDeleteThe last two batches were added to the archives on Saturday mornings.
ReplyDeleteI've been here a while, too, and while I'm not arguing that there is nothing worthwhile to discuss about the business side, I just don't get how a bad business decision affects anyone's enjoyment of the product. We sometimes go around in circles discussing the same things over and over. I don't get how we can still get hundreds of comments in a discussion about Montreal (today's bar discussion notwithstanding).
ReplyDelete... proof or that one's getting rejected harder than Gunther.
ReplyDeleteCesaro's face character would have to almost be a face version of Lesnar, just a silent monster with legit tough guy creed. Which I guess is a problem because WWE never seems to want that type of guy as a face.
ReplyDeleteThe Distended Groin
ReplyDelete"The Black Hole" Roman Reigns.
ReplyDeleteI'm exactly who the Network is aimed at and with the exception of a few PPVs from 2008-2010 I have literally watched all the wrestling available on the Network currently. And have a lot of it on DVD already.
ReplyDelete"It's me or Cena, k?"
ReplyDeleteLuther's brother
ReplyDeleteIf I have to see another clip of that Bischoff interview in the leather jacket my head might explode.
ReplyDeleteListen to voice of the little girls when Evolution took his jacket off in Payback.
ReplyDeleteWhen Maggle intro'd that video package and said "the man they call the Juggernaut," I thought to myself, "When the hell has anyone ever called him that except for what Cole is saying at this exact moment?!"
ReplyDeleteReminds me of when HBK once said "Threre's a reason they call me "Mr. Wrestllemania," and Scott was like "When the hell has anyone ever called him that?"
Here's a quick game for you.
ReplyDelete1) Go to WWE.com and log off from your network account.
2) Search for a listing of what is available on the network.
You can either se what is on the stream for the next day, you can see a list of PPVs not updated since April with (more to be announced soon) at the bottom of the list and if you really search you can just about find a list of various tv shows like Raw and Nitro with no indication of how many episodes are uploaded.
Do you think this might be a factor in why people who visit the Network site don't then decide to buy the Network?
The "this is awesome" chant during the HHH confrontation seemed like his high point. If they'd had followed that up with an actual HHH feud it probably could have gotten Roman over huge.
ReplyDeleteThere are legit world changing events that have gotten half as much written about them as Montreal.
ReplyDeleteWow the WWE apologists are really getting their panties in a bunch about the constant dumping on the Network gets. Sorry but its a financial disaster and a fascinating train wreck to examine.
ReplyDeleteYou know, this blog is meant for people to discuss wrestling with a critical eye toward the product, and for older fans to talk business. There lots and lots of WWE fan boy sites that many of you might find to be a more enjoyable place to go discuss wrestling.
#JustSaying
"but I wonder if some of it is Vince being afraid to compare the product today to then?"
ReplyDeleteThis is at least 50% of the reason. See: Vince's Billionaire Ted stuff.
The One Man Samoan Swat Team!
ReplyDeleteHe doesn't care about the women part
ReplyDeleteThey fucked up starting with 1995, mid 96' or 97 would have been a much better starting point for adding Raw.
ReplyDelete"a fascinating train wreck to examine."
ReplyDeleteThe entirety of the business is this, there's nothing else like this industry which is why it's much fun to think about.
Dude don't you know anything about business? You can't put up the stuff people really want because then no one will sign up lol.
ReplyDelete....take off "the one man" and it'd fit right in with Lunatic Fringe for singular/plural confusions
ReplyDeleteFabio of the Modern Age
ReplyDeleteI love picking apart Vinces failures, and theres always so many to choose from.
ReplyDeleteWe're apologists for not being hypercritical about every aspect of the product? I prefer to think that I'm well-adjusted.
ReplyDeleteNitro
ReplyDeleteTo be fair starting from the Beginning was the only logical starting place. Either that or loading them up randomly.
ReplyDeleteCount Daniel's beard lengths! Shot of whiskey every time they go backward!
ReplyDeleteIt's fun.
True, collateral damage when you sit on the king's throne
ReplyDeleteKevin Nash but a physique and intact quads
ReplyDeleteAnd more talent
But just barely more talent.
ReplyDeleteI'm off to watch the rest of the 2008 Survivor Series while I do dishes.
ReplyDeleteOh come on. What kind of idiot would nickname a wrestler Faarooq Asad?
ReplyDeleteI thought about adding that caveat, hah
ReplyDeleteThis is exactly the tone I am talking about. Could you maybe try and make a point without sounding like a 6th grader?
ReplyDeleteI'm not talking about any particular person, I'm just saying, if people critiquing the WWE upsets anyone so much, this is DEFINITELY the wrong place to come talk wrestling, and that's fine. Picking apart the product isn't for everyone. There are lots of people that just say fuck it and take the WWE as it is. There are tons of places where those like minded folks chat about wrestling and none of us go there and tell them to be more critical of the current product.
ReplyDeleteTJ: Wonder if Goodell plans on killing Peyton or Brady in the next few months, they're going way overboard selling today
ReplyDeleteIt's hilarious to imagine us not cynical, I've spent every Monday of my life since I was 7 learning not to believe anything I see
ReplyDeleteThe One You Deserve but not the One You Need
ReplyDeleteMr. "Because we said so, that's the fuck why"
I guess not.
ReplyDeleteConsidering who that little speech is aimed at, a sixth-grader's tone feels actually just right.
ReplyDeleteYou might be in the minority in that you make financial gains by doing so.
ReplyDeleteI loved the first one.
ReplyDelete"Die a face or pander long enough to become the heel"
ReplyDeleteNo, if I bother you so much why don't you stop reading my posts? Ynless you're one of those people that feel the need to complain, then I won't take that away from you champ
ReplyDeleteO...k...
ReplyDeleteRicky Morton didn't molest any girls, and Shawn/Marty kept it legal.
ReplyDelete"The new Nash" (minus charisma)
ReplyDelete"Negative charisma"
"Samoan slaughterhouse"
"Greasy wet haired no talent chosen one"
the human potato gun.
ReplyDeleteI farted.
ReplyDeleteit doesn't affect our enjoyment of the product per se. Sure business decisions do impact what we see but the reason we talkk about the business is two fold. First we enjoy it. A lot. We are the like the guys on The League that live Fantasy football constantly. Second, talking about the business side is more interesting than #cenawins or Orton makes his 6th face turn.
ReplyDeleteThe positives of this blog - which are mainly random conversations with a bunch of people I enjoy speaking with, including you - definitely outweigh the negatives of the negativity here. I just wish there was less of that.
ReplyDeleteI freely admit I'm in the minority and I'm pretty much a customer for however long the Network lasts because it's basically my second job.
ReplyDeleteAlso:
ReplyDeleteSorry (about your damn luck), Gunther. Just gotta call it like I see it.
Does he have more talent, though? Nash's problem was more that he was lazy than it was that he was untalented; he was decent when motivated, and unlike Reigns he could use a goddamn microphone and sell a character.
ReplyDeleteThe Hair Apparent
ReplyDelete"Sneaky short"
ReplyDeleteA guy walks up to a bartender and tells him that he bets $100 that if the bartender lines up 10 shot glasses he'll piss in every one one of them, fill them, and not spill a drop. The bartender says "sure", puts out the shot glasses, and the guy hops up on a barstool and whips his wang out and pisses all over the place. All over the bar, all over the bartender, doesn't get a drop within 2 feet of any of the shot glasses. He zips back up and hands the bartender a $100 bill with a shit-ass grin on his face. The bartender says "What's so funny, you just had to give me $100?" The guy says "See those biker guys around the pool table? I bet them 2 grand that I could piss all over the bar and all over you, and you wouldn't even get mad about it".
ReplyDeleteSee, that's a good joke. As for you guys, no one has a problem with your opinions, it's the total douchebag way you 2 present them. For example, no one agrees with WWF1987's opinion on TNA, but because he's not a complete asshole about it he gets along with everyone. See the difference?
Okay, okay... John Edwards merely likes TOUCHING 6th graders...
ReplyDeleteIf you had a choice between the Network loading far more archived stuff like old ECW pre-PVV shows, and the TV series like Thunder, Heat, etc, or them putting together more original content, like a trivia gameshow or a comedy show. Which would you rather see?
ReplyDelete"Because Fuck You, That's Why"
ReplyDeleteI'd really be happy if they just added all the YouTube stuff because it all tends to be really entertaining and also cheap to produce. The Top 10 lists and the "Five Things" and Warehouse segments are all pretty uniformly great and literally cost nothing extra to produce.
ReplyDeleteOld stuff.
ReplyDeleteThe ONLY original shit they should be putting together are road diaries. I have done the math, there are exactly 17 million production students in the tri-state area that need internships, give one of those kids a camera, follow Dean around for a few days, give it to another kid to edit, free content that is actually interesting and puts over new people.
Need to shorten it so it rolls of the tongue better somehow, but that's a good one.
ReplyDeleteHi John!
Fox studio girl is whoa.
ReplyDeleteEven better..."New Cena".
ReplyDeletePhysically more talented. He moved like Nash never could even in his prime
ReplyDeleteAdam.
ReplyDeleteThis. If he has to have words, let him be a man of few words. Meandering, generic "I'm gonna whoop your ass, believe that" are gonna kill his appeal quick, doubly so if they also make him get all quippy, sarcastic and smarmy, cutting whatever bullshit promos they found on John Cena's cutting room floor.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry, he did not address you properly. I'll fix that.
ReplyDelete(cough)
Shut the fuck up, Molester of Boys.
it was funny twice.
ReplyDeletereally? Because I see a lot of bitching about people rehashing stuff over and over, being too negative, needing to stop watching if they don't like it, and needing to not worry about the business side so much. Guess what? We've always bitched about the business side because the freaking blog owner bitches about the business side. We've always rehashed shit over and over. We've been told by more than a few over the years to "not watch if we don't like it" (of which I atleast have a defense...I don't.) and we've always looked at wrestling through the lense of backstage decisions not on camera stuff. Nothing has changed, only the nams (and in some cases not the names) of those bitching about what the blog has always been.
ReplyDeleteFair enough sir.
ReplyDeleteold stuff.
ReplyDeleteCouldn't agree more. They're scheduling is consistently inconsistent. For example, how do you NOT do a Halloween Havoc Marathon on the live stream all day on Halloween? That's a layup.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't mind seeing the long neglected sequel to musical chairs. It's long been past 30 days for Jericho to defend his title.
ReplyDeleteYou get Survivor Series "for free" only if you pay for TLC (although given how effective WWE was at enforcing the six-month commitment, the "non-refundable" might be worthless, too).
ReplyDeleteCutting TV in theory makes sense, but WWE is actually making profit from its TV deals; the Network is barely breakeven and is far from making up the profit from PPVs.
I honestly think WWE is afraid that far more people would just stop watching its programming if it cut Smackdown and reduced Raw to two hours (much the same way WWE doesn't do an offseason).
"It's like a group of 4 or 5 are swimming upstream to try and make the blog what it has never been."
ReplyDelete"Nothing has changed, only the nams..."
Way to invalidate your own point. Saves me the effort.
The other problem is that while maybe creatively cutting back would be better for fans, financially for investors it's just a red flag that screams SELL NOW SELL FUCKING SELL.
ReplyDeleteI like it when guys' names form a full sentence... so his name should be Roman Reigns, "Yes He Does." It almost worked for his brother Luther.
ReplyDeleteA lot of it is the extremism. The best debates here, at least to me, are "Why was that was stupid and how to fix it."
ReplyDeleteLately, instead of constructive debate, it's turned to grandstanding about canceling the network. "WWE isn't taking my money!"
If it's come to that, than that's okay. Just no eight paragraph essays about how you're a superior educated fan because of it.
No, there has always been a couple people doing the whole "let's be more positive" thing. That doesn't invalidate my point. My point is that blog is what it always has been, with a lot more people, a lot more non-wrestling related talk, and a lot more non-Scott posts on the main page. The negativity is the same and the few bitching about the negativity is the same. Some are trolls doing a gimmick like Dougie or Vince, others are legit like you, but regardless the blog is what it is, a reflection of it's owner who is a cranky person about wrestling who doesn't say much positive.
ReplyDeleteI can see 6 fans who wouldn't normally pay $60 for a PPV paying $10 for the Network, if RAW didn't suck so hard.
ReplyDeleteOne of these days you have to come to the U.S. so we can get bombed together.
ReplyDeletehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GjH6gp2U2J8
ReplyDeleteSee, again the YouTube guys make the Network look like morons.
You know, I hope you don't have any children. With the amount of times you talk about touching kids it just wouldn't be safe.
ReplyDeleteIn my defense, I'd be more positive if the product wasn't so fucking shitty all the time.
ReplyDeleteThis is the same reason my porno name is "Rusty Nails."
ReplyDeleteI guess it's all in how you look at it. I see a lot of suggestions on how to fix the network. I see people thinking outside the box and people just talking about how to make the current product better to increase subscribers. Either way I'm not seeing this grandstanding. Then again I'm not looking for it to get all butthurt either.
ReplyDeleteagreed. I'm just irritated with someone doing the whole "you are all so negative" shit, like it's anything new around here. We've always been cynical, negative bastards.
ReplyDeleteThis debate here's fine. The grandstanding was horrible last week.
ReplyDelete"No, there has always been a couple people doing the whole "let's be more positive" thing. "
ReplyDeleteI can't speak for everyone but that isn't what I am doing and I don't see much of it. Seem more like you thinking that is there then trying to find ways to prove it.
"My point is that blog is what it always has been, with a lot more people, a lot more non-wrestling related talk, and a lot more non-Scott posts on the main page."
So it is what it always has been... except now it is isn't what it always has been? Did I read that correctly?
"The negativity is the same and the few bitching about the negativity is the same. Some are trolls doing a gimmick like Dougie or Vince, others are legit like you"
So Vince is a gimmick and I am a troll? I'll just move right along from that nonsense since it is indefensible.
Um, read again cowboy. I said you AREN'T a troll.
ReplyDeleteThat PPV got many people all angry somehow.
ReplyDeleteIn a world where Cena/Orton has been going for a decade I'm not sure why anyone ever expected a real blowoff, Rollins/Ambrose will be going forever, with multiple team-up/break-ups.
not noticing it. But then again I don't go looking for it either. Same way I just saw an email from a naive fellow (about the business) who was making the point he didn't even want to watch SS for free rather than getting all worked up about how he sighed in his email and a bunch of other nonsense.
ReplyDeleteYour wording was suspect. I interpreted it as "Vince and Dougie are pretending to be trolls and you actually are one"
ReplyDeleteAlso I generally chose Indian over Cowboy. Tomahawks are more fun.
the network is no where near break even.
ReplyDeleteOP can be both thought-provoking *and* a dick.
ReplyDeletenope. sorry for the wording confusion.
ReplyDeleteChristopher Moltisanti approves.
ReplyDeleteRoman Reigns, you think you're good looking? You're not. You've average.
ReplyDeleteRowboat.
ReplyDeleteWhen people use a certain tone like the OP or jobber did it is much more likely that people aren't going to take them seriously. This is basic communication skill. If you look back my initial complaint was about the way he said what he said not so much what he said (even though that was mostly drivel also).
ReplyDeleteIf they're not pushing Reigns because he's a handsome man, then I have no idea why they picked him over another big man in their system.
ReplyDeleteAnd once again, I feel the need to clarify. I don't know why, but just in case others are reading:
ReplyDeleteI am merely a kid at heart sometimes.
You prefer touching kids' hearts in sick and vile ways.
Thus, YOU are the Molester of Boys. And your feeble attempts to project it onto myself, or others, will simply further stain your rep. Of course, it was never worth anything to begin, so stain away.
I'm a lot more mellow than I used to be. Kids, turning 40, not having the time to keep up with all the stuff on the blog like some others do (job doesn't allow too many daytime look ins). So in a roundabout way I'm saying I get how worked up some people get because I used to. I'm not trying to be holier than thou, because at one time I certainly got in my fair share of massive back and forths that got a little ugly, but I am trying to offer an alternative perspective on why the emailer didn't mean anything by it and shouldn't be tarred and feathered and why I think the "grandstanding" comments might be a bit overblown.
ReplyDeleteNot to change the subject but I have exclusive news about The Undertaker working with the NXT kids..
ReplyDelete"Not
shaking hands with everyone? That's a Bradshaw showerin" Disrespecting
the main eventers? That's a Bradshaw showerin. Showering in the locker
room showers? Oh you better believe that's a Bradshaw showerin."
(Scott is going so mad! Grr)
This is terrible.
ReplyDeleteNot to change the subject but I have exclusive news about The Undertaker working with the NXT kids..

... yeah, I think this horse's long expired.
ReplyDeleteBoo there is. Boo there was. Boo there always will be.
ReplyDeleteI think we should let it play out.
ReplyDeleteMaybe I'm going crazy, but I'm sure I've seen this several times already.
ReplyDeleteHaven't you posted this "joke" a dozen times already?
ReplyDeleteThese are probably worse than his kid toucher posts.
ReplyDeleteComplete with red and white stripe tank top, white pants and sailor hat. He'll go to do the "toot, toot" but sound won't come out because rowboats don't have that capability.
ReplyDeleteI remember sometime last year Cole referring to Kane as "the so-called Big Red Corporate Sellout", and I realized Michael was unsure of the proper usage of "so-called".
ReplyDeleteFrom the X-Men, I would have gone with Colossus (though the hair flip doesn't fit).
ReplyDeleteWhy not just call him Superman?
Samoan Sensation.
At least he made up the premise himself and didn't just rip off a joke from the simpsons or anything...
ReplyDeleteSaying you are not doing something after immediately doing that thing doesn't undo it. You really have a talent for using a whole lot of words to make zero points. I think this has pretty much run its course and I am going to move on, I am sure your ego will require you too respond to this so please proceed.
ReplyDeleteHe was like, "Dude, I *so* called him that!"
ReplyDeleteGive it up.
ReplyDeleteContinue with nitro, keith. Those shows are way better
ReplyDelete... has this account been hacked? Or are you simply grumpy this morning?
ReplyDeleteWow you fucking suck
ReplyDeleteActually, if Brock's really done after 31, he probably isn't coming back again.
ReplyDeleteWhat if Reigns took the F5?
In many ways I'm a normal, adjusted person, but when it comes to my play fighting I'm smarky critical prick and can't help but pick and pick. Nothing personal to anyone (especially not you or steve) its just aimed at the WWE. Its all I know dude, its all I know.
ReplyDeleteNeither
ReplyDeleteHow Is Rollins AND Lesnar believable?
ReplyDeleteFor all the shit we give TNA, one of the things I liked about Impact was that not every top guy was on every show. Some shows would have RVD, Storm, and Angle; next week would have Joe, AJ, Jeff, and BOBBY ROOOOOOOOOO. It really did keep all those guys and the show feeling more fresh than it would if all those guys were on every single Impact.
ReplyDeleteEt voila, new tag partner for Cena.
ReplyDelete"Darth Nashius"
ReplyDeleteAlright, dishes are done, man! Now it's time to completely rework the living room furniture into something more manageable and giving us more space if/when we get a new sleeper sofa for company. Hopefully this works...
ReplyDeleteOn another note, girlfriend's parents went to a Verizon store in Syracuse to get her a new iPhone 6 and discovered there was a two-week wait for one, so that cuts down on my trade-in credit towards a PS4 this week.
We went to a Verizon store this morning to check out the 6 - because my girlfriend is NOT a techie and wanted to see if the new phones were too big for her - and we couldn't check out the 6 demo phone because some guy kept trying to use it to call Verizon to set up insurance on his phone. Almost 10 minutes of it while we were wandering around the store, trying to be polite, before one of the CSRs at the store told him to knock it off. I should have asked if the Verizon store here had phones in stock.
You fucking better have shot those dishes.
ReplyDelete85% old stuff, 15% original stuff like the YouTube shows, maybe bring back Confidential. But basically, old stuff.
ReplyDeleteWhen you get to SS 96 let us know because we should do a live thread for that show or something. That is one of my favorite shows ever. I also love 92 because it was the first PPV I ever got to see live (thanks Aunt Mary!) and it has two all time classics on it also.
ReplyDeleteGod damn right. Nothing like skeet shooting with dishes from the roof of a fifth floor walkup in Astoria.
ReplyDeleteSKEETSKEETSKEETSKEET
ReplyDeleteI think we should do live threads for Survivor Series 1988, 1991, 1992, 1996 and 2002. Those are probably my top 5.
ReplyDeleteMan I'd explore alternatives to the sleeper sofas. Those things ARE TOO FUCKING HEAVY to even exist on planet earth, much less lug around from apartment to apartment. What about a super nice high end futon? Or a nice chaise lounge? I moved one of those up two flights of stairs with my a friend of mine a few years and after that I vowed to try and rid the earth of those things. Plus they are rough to sleep on (the ones I've tried anyways)
ReplyDeleteWould "The Samoan Spear Monster" be racist?
ReplyDeleteBro hug?
ReplyDeleteBradshaw Showerin?
ReplyDeleteMan, thank God I live on the first floor. The sleeper sofa is one of my girlfriend's things, because she wants people to come visit. I really don't, because our apartment is basically the size of a refrigerator box. We'll probably end up with something in between.
ReplyDeleteYeah, it wasn't funny the 1st time, either
ReplyDeleteThe benefits of having 2 hours programming a week rather than 6.
ReplyDeleteWhat's up, Metallica breath?
ReplyDeleteFag!
ReplyDeleteI'll give her something that's not too big for her, huh huh
ReplyDeleteThe Slam Nazi.
ReplyDeleteRoman "Had Peas B'Fo" Reigns
ReplyDeleteCRESTO! Doooooooooon't encourage your fellow posters!
ReplyDeleteI haven't actually put one on a scale but from personal experience I'd scientifically estimate the pull out bed adds 14,000 pounds to a couch.
ReplyDeleteWhen you get the new sofa (COUCH), make sure you wisk it. It needs it
ReplyDeleteThat sounds about right. Fucking things are a pain in the ass.
ReplyDeleteLike a Bradshaw showerin
ReplyDeleteI watched my DVR is Smackdown last night, and that cold opening with Vince making the Network announcement was one of the most awkward segments they've had in a while.
ReplyDeleteAnd then it went straight to Maggle intro'ing the costumed Divas, so it didn't get any better
You do this to yourself, you know.
ReplyDeleteSo what you're saying is that since you're a "kid at heart" it's alright for you to touch them? Creepy.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I watched that on Hulu last night. Absolute train wreck.
ReplyDeleteI've been back
ReplyDeleteDon't call it comeback, I've been here for years
not getting worked about anything. sorry you are having a bad day.
ReplyDeleteBro hug! *sees other men watching, ends it earlier in case anyone gets too suspicious*
ReplyDeleteThat little cackle he does is great. All he needs is a moustache to twirl while he does it. "Nyah hah hah!"
ReplyDeleteOne thing the Network could do is be better.
ReplyDeleteI do think everyone would agree, they should really get up the World Championship Wrestling episodes they had on 24/7 asap. They did a huge run of those on COD and they are sooooooo fucking awesome, that is really my biggest non nit picking bugaboo. I mean for real, those are sitting right there ready to go. And that is a gold.
ReplyDelete... that wasn't for you.
ReplyDeleteDamn, I'm being all kinds of mean to you today.
You have a talent for condescension as well. I am having an excellent day... shouldn't you be spending some time with your children?
ReplyDeleteYou also apparently have reading comprehension issues. You see words, but all you can think about is that next poor boy, Mr. Molester of Boys.
ReplyDeleteHe's like Piper when he came into WCW in '96. he wasn't WCW, he wasn't nWo... he was for himself!
ReplyDeleteAnd you can relive all of that... FOR FREE... on the Network!
/keeping it relevant
So Jobber was talking about you, then, the other day
ReplyDeleteThat's what she said
ReplyDeleteSee: Punk/Lesnar.
ReplyDelete1. The Future and Now. ("Here comes The Future and Now to save Dolph again")
ReplyDelete2. The Shotgun (cause he treats his silly looking tattooed arm like a shotgun before hitting someone)
3. Caesar (Get it, his name is Roman and he's the new king)
I saw that today too and thought the same thing.
ReplyDeleteno, I see words and all I can think is "gee is this fella still talking about child molestation? He should really see a shrink about that."Then I look around and see the company you keep and suddenly have a profound understanding of your obsession
ReplyDeleteYou are a sad, sad individual, who hasn't had an original thought since he touched his first boy all those years ago.
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm done here. I've gone deep enough into this gutter for today, so feel free to have the last word, Molester of Boys. It's not like anyone else is left here anyway.
ReplyDeleteThis feels like a thread that I should have seen much earlier. Oh well. :)
ReplyDeleteSpeaking from experience champ? You're the only person repeating themselves ad nauseum I see.
ReplyDeleteBest Hair Since Kevin Nash
ReplyDeleteWhy not do simple theme months, as well as uploading Raws/Nitro's upload original content & archival stuff based around a basic theme.
ReplyDeleteOctober - Horror, they could include look backs on Halloween Havoc, a special on See No Evil 2, and archive shows featuring guys like Dungeon Of Doom, Mordecia, Bogeyman, etc.
November - as the Network is starting in the UK, theme it Europe, look backs on the Euro title, and UK PPVs, a documentary on William Regal & Bulldogs. Upload the German WCW PPV and the England filmed Raw/Smackdown episodes
December - Christmas with the troops, they must be able to get a few documentaries about Tribute to The Troops as well as upload them. A documentary on Sgt Slaughter as well as tv shows featuring army based characters such as GI Bro, Crp Kirchner, etc.
January - Royalty, look backs on Jerry Lawler's career & the importance of KOTR, upload KOTR based tv shows.
February - AWA, Look backs at the history of the AWA, a special on WWE Champions who debuted there and upload the shows they debuted on
March - Celebrities, look backs on the importance of celebrities and the Andy Kaufman situation. Upload shows which feature Celebrities wrestling or featuring
April - Divas, look backs on major female wrestlers such as Moolah & Alundra Blayze, go full meta with a show about Total Divas (a show about a show which follows the people behind a show) and upload the old diva specials they've got lying around.
May - Extreme Beginnings, look backs on the start of ECW, and the first time various gimmick matches were used (Tables, ladders, HIAC) upload loads of early ECW stuff.
June - Black & White history month, looking back at wrestling prior to the 80s, stuff like the start of the various companies, upload the real old archive footage. that's in black & white and give it some context
July - Canada, look backs at Stampede wrestling & Wrestling in Canada in general, upload Stampede footage & the Canada only PPVs
I could carry on, but I think the point has been made, they used to do this kind of stuff with WWE 24/7 and classics on demand there's no reason they can't still do it.
Ok so how is ambrose/Brock any different?
ReplyDeleteSpeed Force isn't taken, is it?
ReplyDeleteBecause he is earmarked for being "the guy", this injury is the best thing that could've happened to him. Take some time off, rest up, and come back fresh for the big world title program with Brock.
ReplyDeleteIf he beats Roman, he could be called the Beast Killer.
ReplyDeleteWhat about August and September?
ReplyDeletenotice how I said "I could carry on, but I think the point has been made"
ReplyDeleteAh, I got it.
ReplyDeleteRamblin' Roman Reigns!
ReplyDeleteThey did this with classics on demand, and it was very repetitive by the end.
ReplyDeleteThere line of thinking is the PPV is the only selling point, so spend time/money on anything else. i just wish i could remember how mucn it cost.
So annoyed they've already stopped with the 95 Raws. I'm hoping it's just that the guy whose job it is to do that had the weekend off, and we're not looking at a few months of nothing again. I want to get into 96.
ReplyDeleteI don't mean that he's especially more believable as a guy who could actually *beat* Lesnar, but him having a more competitive match could be believable. Rollins is faster and more agile than Ambrose, and has better-looking offence. Plus what with him being a cowardly heel, he could run around the ring/arena selling how terrified he is of the Beast and trying to outsmart him, whereas Ambrose would hit Lesnar with his shitty-looking punches and occasionally make goofy 'crazy' faces at the crowd.
ReplyDelete"the Network is barely breakeven and is far from making up the profit from PPVs"
ReplyDeleteThat is probably a true statement. The 1 million subcripers break even was to make up for losing ppv buys.
