Saturday Afternoon Thread

Some of you may be looking for a place to talk about college football or whatever else is going on.

So here you go.

Comments

  1. Canes up 16-6. Our defense is looking great. I still hate our coaching staff overall though.

    ReplyDelete
  2. Billy Madison is on ABC Family. I'm busy.

    ReplyDelete
  3. Good news, gang - I thought I was a stigmatic for awhile until I looked it up. “Stigmata” means “having bodily marks or pains resembling the wounds of the crucified Christ”. When you've got a lot of red bumps on your ass that’s just called a “rash”.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Just Dance 2015 looks like fun. Anyone tried it out? Worth taking it out from the library for a week?

    ReplyDelete
  5. Or if you're Taylor swift, you call it "Tuesday' ...

    ReplyDelete
  6. I'm baked like a pan of muffins right now so i think I'll work on.some music right now and then watch Aliens.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Watching Survivor Series 2004. Such a weird time for the company.

    ReplyDelete
  8. I don't even remember that show. That says something

    ReplyDelete
  9. Anyone think it's possible that WWE tries to load up WM31 with celebrities, to cover for a possibly lackluster card? They've done it at WM7, 11, 14 for example.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Biggest face pop of the night was John Cena if that tells you anything.

    ReplyDelete
  11. I'd watch an all wrestling version of "Battle Of The Network Stars"

    ReplyDelete
  12. Sounds like 2004.

    ReplyDelete
  13. As long as the Bellas are around, they don't need celebs.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Knowing them they will put on a great WM and take the rest of the year off.

    ReplyDelete
  15. http://tonymyers.files.wordpress.com/2010/10/art-bell.jpg

    ReplyDelete
  16. Watching Quigley Down Under. Perfect film for a Saturday Afternoon

    ReplyDelete
  17. "There's no stigmata connected with going to a shrink."

Been watching way too much Sopranos lately.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Go Dawgs. And go Auburn so we can beat that ass ourselves when they come into town in a couple weeks.

    ReplyDelete
  19. So is my phone being crazy or was everything involved in AndyPG's childish meltdown deleted?

    ReplyDelete
  20. Royal Rumble sold out really quickly today. I was lucky to nab a couple tickets before they went. Anyone else going?

    ReplyDelete
  21. Virgil's Gimmick TableNovember 1, 2014 at 12:21 PM

    Get Mulder on the case.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I didn't see any meltdown! Where/when was this?

    ReplyDelete
  23. I'm going. Got tix during the presale. My third Rumble

    ReplyDelete
  24. Whoa, more info please.

    ReplyDelete
  25. We got about 18-20 of us going from the PTBN crew... will be arriving Saturday early afternoon.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I thought it was in here. He was defending the WWE saying Wyatt -AMBROSE feud would be good. Then started freaking out about how people say he's a bad person for trying to find the silver lining in the shows. It was extremely sad and truthfully he should have the Raw recap gig taken away. The guy can't cut the mustard. Give it to Matt Peri who had a decent wrote up this Monday and can no sell the haters as good as anyone. Hell, I'll submit my own write to the forums for no one to read. It's not really that hard and it's nothing to get so butt hurt about.

    ReplyDelete
  27. My mistake. It was in the Hell in a Cell thread. I'm a lil Saturday tipsy. Sorry for the confusion everyone. Carry on.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Smoking reefer?

    ReplyDelete
  29. Didn't realize rumble already went on sale. I was going to make the trip to. Philly, me so sad!

    ReplyDelete
  30. No worries! I'm gonna go read it!

    ReplyDelete
  31. Tickets had been on sale for more than a month. It's not being done by Ticketmaster, which threw me

    ReplyDelete
  32. I guess I can always overpay on stubhub.

    ReplyDelete
  33. what does it cost to got to a ppv?

    ReplyDelete
  34. I just checked stubhub....man

Tom Selleck is rated M for Manly

    ReplyDelete
  36. davidbonzaisaldanamontgomeryNovember 1, 2014 at 12:48 PM

I don't think it gets much weirder than RAW being a superior show than SD both angle-wise and wrestling-wise.

    ReplyDelete
  37. davidbonzaisaldanamontgomeryNovember 1, 2014 at 12:49 PM

Just Dance is pretty fun, it was pretty popular my last few years in college.

    lol

    ReplyDelete
  43. Charismatic eNegro Jef VinsonNovember 1, 2014 at 12:50 PM

    Afternoon Gents.

    ReplyDelete
  44. I think I'll like Dumb and Dumber no matter what. Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels are just too awesome to make it so it can't suck

    ReplyDelete
  45. The guy should have his column taken away if he can't cut the mustard. Give it to Matt Perri.

    ReplyDelete
  46. John Cena in 2003-2004 getting huge pops, that rapper gimmick surprisingly worked.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Not so surprising at the time.

    ReplyDelete
  48. I can't believe I missed his rants. He just wouldn't let it go.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Survivor Series. Dumb and Dumber 2 looks awful.

    ReplyDelete
  50. davidbonzaisaldanamontgomeryNovember 1, 2014 at 12:55 PM

I loved Matt Perry in Friends, could he BE any funnier?

    ReplyDelete
  51. St Vincent is the only movie I'm looking forward to seeing

    ReplyDelete
  52. After 20 years of hemming and hawing, I recently watched the first of those pictures.

    It had its moments.

    ReplyDelete
  53. St. Vincent looks just horrific. Hey, Bill Murray showed up at another event, let's have it go viral!

    ReplyDelete
  54. It was awful. The guy is just that sort of guy you want to make fun of because you know he will start crying and make a huge fool of himself.

    ReplyDelete
  55. davidbonzaisaldanamontgomeryNovember 1, 2014 at 12:57 PM

I still don't know how. I mean, I know why I liked it, because I was 14 and he was saying deez nuts and telling Hiroko he'd cum on her face, but it's painfully bad every time I go back to his old footage. ICE ICE BABY

    ReplyDelete
  56. CruelConnectionNumber2November 1, 2014 at 12:57 PM

Who the hell is #23 ECU? East Crackhead University? Cause Temple is SMOKING them! AYYYYYYYYY

    ReplyDelete
  57. You summed up why everyone liked it. That's how hindsight works.

    ReplyDelete
  58. This is awesome though now I am terrified of Memphis playing Temple Friday

    ReplyDelete
  59. Hiroko is one of WWE's most underrated women ever.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Some of his raps were awesome. I mean, it eventually descended into: You're gay, you're gay, you like to have sex with men because you're gay, but when he was on, he was on

    ReplyDelete
  61. davidbonzaisaldanamontgomeryNovember 1, 2014 at 12:58 PM

Nightcrawler looks like my shit, but it'll probably be a week or so before I see it. Might do a double bill of that and Interstellar.

    ReplyDelete
  62. CruelConnectionNumber2November 1, 2014 at 12:59 PM

Rumble went on sale like 2 weeks ago brah! Password leaked immediately after the SD taping (15th Anniversary show) in Philly. So I'd imagine like 01,000+ seats were already nabbed.

    ReplyDelete
  63. William Regal and his wife both loved it, so I officially have to see it. Tomorrow I'm seeing Fury

    ReplyDelete
  64. Without the facepaint, a very pretty lady

    ReplyDelete
  65. The domestic violence freakout was amazing

    ReplyDelete
  66. davidbonzaisaldanamontgomeryNovember 1, 2014 at 12:59 PM

I loved Hiroko. Kenzo & Hiroko was a case of shitty wrestler (Kenzo) but awesome gimmick, and for as terrible as he and Dupree were, their mixed theme was great.

    ReplyDelete
  67. CruelConnectionNumber2November 1, 2014 at 1:00 PM

Philly Rumble winners have gone on to greatness!

    ReplyDelete
  68. Christ, there were multiple meltdowns in that thread. And if Matt hadn't been writing this week's RAW recap, I was going to just skip it.

    ReplyDelete
  69. CruelConnectionNumber2November 1, 2014 at 1:00 PM

Can you please tell me about this meltdown, I was out Halloweening

    ReplyDelete
  70. davidbonzaisaldanamontgomeryNovember 1, 2014 at 1:00 PM

East Carolina. I don't how that school gets enough good players to crack the top 25 all year, but maybe they do sell crack.

    ReplyDelete
  71. What's up everybody

    ReplyDelete
  72. davidbonzaisaldanamontgomeryNovember 1, 2014 at 1:01 PM

Shit, another one I have to see. Thankfully November is the month where all my bills will be caught up and I'll no longer be broke.

    ReplyDelete
  73. KENSO is still awful in japan, probably the worst wrestler of japanese companies.

    ReplyDelete
  74. The GM is here!

    ReplyDelete
  75. CruelConnectionNumber2November 1, 2014 at 1:02 PM

East Canine University...cause they're DOGGING IT today AYOOOOOOOOHEYYYY

    ReplyDelete
  76. Fury-Nitecrawler-DD, then binge a bunch of indies before getting around to Hunger Games, Interstellar and Big Hero Six

    ReplyDelete
  78. Yeah she suffered from being with Kenzo, who was one of the worst ever. That Minoru Suzuki trading card video that got subbed into english had a Kenzo card, and Suzuki just BURIED him, saying he hated having to even waste his time trying to work with him.

    ReplyDelete
  79. the only bad Bill Murrary movie was Razor's Edge - he has a higher batting average than any other movie star. He even got a handjob as FDR. Let's see you pretend to be Roosevelt and get a handjob! It's not happening.*

*Franklin, not Teddy. Teddy got all sorts of puss.

Up is a 2009 American 3D computer-animated comedy-adventure film produced by Pixar Animation Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures. Directed by Pete Docter, the film centers on an elderly widower named Carl Fredricksen (voiced by Edward Asner) and an earnest young Wilderness Explorer named Russell (Jordan Nagai). By tying thousands of balloons to his home, 78-year-old Carl sets out to fulfill his dream to see the wilds ofSouth America and to complete a promise made to his late lifelong love.

    ReplyDelete
  81. Great summary!

    ReplyDelete
  82. I'll never forget the one he did that had to be edited on Smackdown, the one where he mentioned John Ritter

    ReplyDelete
  83. A Glimpse Inside The Mind Of Charles Swan?
    Passion Play?
    Garfield?
Garfield: A Tale Of Two Kitties?
    Larger Than Life?
    Charlie's Angels
    The Limits Of Control?
    City of Ember?
    Osmosis Jones?
    Cradle Will Rock?
    The Lost City?

    ReplyDelete
  84. Franklin got a boatload of puss. Teddy would rather be running around wrestling fellas than wooing the ladies. Franklin loved to fuck bitches.

    ReplyDelete
  85. Thanks

I am checking out the HIAC thread and RAW threads. Missed a few meltdowns I guess.

Watching HIAC now and the Bella's match was surprisingly good.

^I agree with most of those, and I'm not a fan of The Man Who Knew Too Little.

But he's got enough classics past and present on his resume to let a lot of it slide, because....you can't make an omelette without breaking some eggs ! *smashes mask*

    ReplyDelete
  93. Love The Man Who Knew Too Little. Really funny stuff.

    ReplyDelete
  94. What happened?

    ReplyDelete
  95. I can't remember any of them bar the one that went "something something something like the XFL" and everyone went "ooooooh!"

    ReplyDelete
  96. They can't afford anyone better.

    ReplyDelete
  97. Sites like gawker and buzzfeed trip over themselves to remind you that Bill Cosby has been accused of rape and Woody Allen may have molested his daughter, but refuse to say anything about Murray being accused of beating and threatening his wife and also being a horrible prick to work with

    ReplyDelete
  98. Why waste your time defending it? If people don't like what they're watching then they don't like it.

    ReplyDelete
  99. davidbonzaisaldanamontgomeryNovember 1, 2014 at 1:06 PM

Well, he got robbed for Lost in Translation, so I don't blame him for going into baiting territory.

    ReplyDelete
  100. Mystic River was awesome though, so I don't mind Penn winning. I find it funny that somehow Mr. Hard To Reach ends up taking a fair amount of roles, a lot of them bad ones

    ReplyDelete
  101. That too, but it was in another day.

    ReplyDelete
  102. I disagree.

Murray didnt do anything different than he had been doing in that film

    ReplyDelete
  103. There's that, and then there was you and Jobber going Portugese on us. I didn't feel like translating it though, not even the lazy Google way.

  105. Me and my buddies got out with the medieval teacher, the guy is awful teacher but great to hang with, he paid all of our drinks and stuff. The guy has some great stories about crazy shit in France, it was hilarious.

    ReplyDelete
  106. It was with that girl.

    ReplyDelete
  107. Sounds like a good time.

    ReplyDelete
  108. How has it been going with her?

    ReplyDelete
  109. the only thing I remember of that movie was Scarlet Johansson's butt on the opening credits.

Still, it's one of my favorite movies ever

    ReplyDelete
  110. Bill Cosby has been accused of sexual assault like 47 times.

    ReplyDelete
  111. I probably took a 0 on his test (like the rest of the class), but he's fun outside the classroom. He gave me this pill that makes you sober in half hour.

I remember most of a taped one he did about Brock Lesnar. I'm gonna try to do it off the top of my head:

The reason I'm sitting here waiting for the doc
Is becaue of the F-5 that I took from you Brock!
I dont think you understand what I'm saying
You're gonna hit your knees faster than a priest when he's praying

You're the poster child for the birth control pill!
You go down quicker than a ho for a five dollar bill!
I'm the REAL Superman, you ain't nothing but Clark Kent!
I do you four quarters you half time like 50 Cent

I'll hang your ass like a Christmas tree ornament
I'll whack you more times than a masturbation tournament!
So now you get what I'm saying? Cause before i thought you missed it
I"m a Viagra triple shot, you just a Limp Bizkit.

    WORD LIFE!!

  124. Okay, watching the HIAC main event now. Going to see how this hologram stuff looked. Sounds like something that would make you embarrassed to be a wrestling fan but I will reserve judgement until I view it.

    ReplyDelete
  125. which wouldn't have been so bad if he didn't keep doing the "mushmouth" voice while he was fucking them. No woman wants to hear mushmouth while they're being violated. That makes it twice as bad

    ReplyDelete
