  1. Loved Heyman's interview yesterday, comparing a Brock appearance to Christmas. If it happened every day, then it just wouldn't be a big deal, would it?

  2. Dammit it was deleted. I missed it.

  3. Sid had size, a great look, and charisma; all things Ryback lacks.

  5. I saw what the guy was doing, but it just wasn't working. The best anti-smark gimmicks are the ones where we believe the person likely believes what they're saying. My favorite is WWF1987's passionate defenses of TNA. He's not trolling and likely genuinely enjoys TNA, so his ability to turn anything into a positive is enjoyable. Mr. Satan is fun because he's consistently taking the "evil" side even if he's contradicting himself in a thread.

  8. The idea to pair Cesaro up with Heyman wasn't a mistake though. The heel turn was the mistake. If you had Heyman managing a face Cesaro and a heel Lesnar...you've got a ton of interesting storylines that could develop.

Turning Cesaro heel when the crowd wanted so badly to cheer for him...and then have him lose, be boring, not use Heyman's skills at all...and then not be managed by Heyman only mentioned in an aside (a la the dissolution of the Wyatt Family)...stupid, shortsighted WWE bullshit.

  9. That's J-E...DOUBLE F. J-A--DOUBLE R...E--DOUBLE T.

(What? Americans don't like spelling as much as pie eating or ass whoopin'?)

  10. Back in the day, when wrestlers developed on their own, making their way through the territories...and were responsible for how they got themselves over--from how they wrestled, how they said what they chose to say, what they looked like...THEN, you could say that if a guy didn't have "it"...he wouldn't make it.

But now, when everything is developed for the wrestler--from their name, their scripted promos, their wrestling the standard company style...right through to the storylines (or lack thereof) that they're handed...if a wrestler isn't over, it is TOTALLY the company's fault.

Right now, the WWE sucks at developing talent and getting them over.

And, they also have an unfortunate tendency to take someone (or something) that IS over and ruining it...either by stupidly stopping that momentum by changing things (Cesaro) or by misreading what was over (a la Fandango-ing) and not knowing how to pet the bunny without snapping the bunny's neck.

  13. The name escapes me, but there was a guy on here who was basically TNA's own Iraqi Information Minister a while back (maybe it's the same dude using a different name?) who, as you say, managed to turn anything TNA did into a positive. Every show was stacked with MOTYCs, every angle was a classic slowburner, every stupid swerve and dickheaded booking move a genius deception by the best writers in wrestling.

One of his best posts was a fairly lengthy discussion of how TNA had the balls, wisdom and respect to recognise 'new, fresh' talent, and reward young upstarts with great futures ahead of them belts and see where it went.

This was in response to MR. FUCKING KENNEDY winning the world title.

  14. I'm sorry, I have *zero* idea what this has to do with Cesaro not having "it". If you've listened to Austin talk about Brock on the podcast yesterday, you know what I mean. Brock has "it". You don't *develop* "it". You either have it or you don't. That's just how things are.

  15. Bro did you take the bar yet, got some legal questions. I also started applying to law schools so would welcome advice.
