Not much love the RHCP in the voting.

    ReplyDelete
  2. Today is one of the saddest days of the year: the day when bad coaches get fired and thus, you can't bet against them for at least 3-4 years.

    ReplyDelete
  3. Those two songs were their lesser hits. I think their bigger hits are coming up.

    ReplyDelete
  4. MikeyMike, JuggernautDecember 29, 2014 at 7:09 AM

Rex and their GM already gone.

    ReplyDelete
  5. I'm angry about Rex's firing.

    ReplyDelete
  6. It's kind of a scary world where you can essentially get fired just because you were arrested.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Rex and tom coughlin had 2 great post season runs each as wild cards and that's it. If they lost those wild card games, they would have been seen as huge failures long ago and been fired long ago.

    ReplyDelete
  8. So common these days. Just the allegations of impropriety is enough to get people online up in arms and demanding action. Innocent until proven guilty is long gone these days.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Their best days were in the 80s anyway. They became hot, festering garbage after that song they did for the Coneheads movie.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Eh, if it were a regular job I'd agree. But the bs-y entertainment/sports jobs? I'm fine with that standard

    ReplyDelete
  11. Decades of gutting worker rights = bosses as the new lords of the manor.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Damn.
Slater was my pick for the Rumble. Well, it looks like Xavier Woods is winning! 2K Champion!

    ReplyDelete
  13. Overall I think Coughlin's time in NY has been a wash. Yeah, he won two, but he had just as good if not better teams other years that shit themselves under his "leadership". Though I'm hopeful next year if they get the right DC in

    ReplyDelete
  14. Yeah he did what he needed to do and cleared out the cap issues but it is clear his talent evaluation skills were subpar.

    ReplyDelete
  15. It's not even criminal activity that gets social justice warriors into a tizzy.

Nothing beats the online/Tumblr backlash that the actor Jensen Ackles faced after he denied that his character on Supernatural was gay. You would've thought he was the one who signed off on the Holocaust.

    ReplyDelete
  16. No Nash? Good, that means more time for Hogan.

    ReplyDelete
  17. In most states, you can get fired for any reason they want. They could not like the color of your shirt and fire you because of that.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Cena vs Orton,one more timeDecember 29, 2014 at 7:28 AM

I really, really,REALLY want Finn Balor to have Gangrel's theme.

    That is all.

    ReplyDelete
  19. I completely agree. As someone who's been liberal his whole life, and far-left for a good chunk of it, it's been quite disillusioning to see the intolerant and aggressive way people who I thought I was on the same side as have been acting online. It's truly awful and can't do anything but prompt both a severe backlash and also the complete strangulation of free speech on the net.

For the most part I think it's just stupid kids who'll eventually mature and realise that just because they've read one book and have a cause doesn't mean they're right, and that shouting at everyone over the internet doesn't achieve anything but more shouting.

    ReplyDelete
  20. What a long article about bullshit. I really hope that person didn't go to journalism school to write 1500+ words of crap on people whining.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Mike Smith ....YOU'RE FIREEEEEEEEEEEEEED!

    ReplyDelete
  22. I think Rex goes to Chicago

    ReplyDelete
  23. What if Rex ends up in New England as their DC? DUN DUN DUN!

    ReplyDelete
  24. MikeyMike, JuggernautDecember 29, 2014 at 7:35 AM

He's kinda an old dude anyway isn't he? Or does he just look old.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Falcons fired mike smith

    ReplyDelete
  26. Last night on undercover boss (nothing else was on and family wanted to watch it), a female employee got fired from bikinis bar for not being a bikinis girl (saying she doesn't want to do this for a career and not wearing a bikini on national tv). Another female employee who was only okay at her job will be rewarded with a boob job if she doesn't break any rules for 6 months.

    ReplyDelete
  27. They fired the GM for DA BEEEEARRRS

    ReplyDelete
  28. Lol. I hate that just cuz someone is arrested in their personal life then it affects their professional life. But if its gotta happen to someone no better person than good ole kevin nash. I do hate it for slater though.

    ReplyDelete
  29. He already said he would HC or go to TV...doesn't want a DC job.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Oh Johnny Manziel I hope you grow up or get destroyed in the NFL.

    ReplyDelete
  31. The holiday schedule is so fucking wrecked this year, just three more days until another 4 day vacation. After that though, we are in a world of shit until like July.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Hey, I'm with you. I'm all for diversity, leveling the playing field, etc. But if someone says "You know, I don't want to see Ghostbusters 3 with female leads," that doesn't mean that person is a chauvinistic pig -- it probably means they just don't want to see a Ghostbusters movie without Harold Ramis and Bill Murray.

And if they say "I don't think Idris Elba should be Bond because Bond is a white character," I don't think that means the person is necessarily a racist bastard. Sure, some might be. But maybe they just think it would fundamentally change the character or presentation in a way they wouldn't like.

Part of being open-minded and tolerant is realizing that other people have opinions or ideas that you don't necessarily agree with. It doesn't mean other people are total assholes for seeing things differently.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I saw that. The girl who got fired did think she was too good for the job, not like that is fireable, but was serving a guy who was shitfaced and did not care about that at all. I'd easily can someone who did that.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Well I mean, if your job is "bikini girl" then refusing to wear a bikini would seem like a reasonable thing to fire someone over.

    ReplyDelete
  35. She normally wears a bikini but didn't feel it was right for national tv

    ReplyDelete
  36. Sexy Flexy Biff KensingtonDecember 29, 2014 at 7:43 AM

That's terrible! He was doing a great job!

    ReplyDelete
  37. Does Rob Ryan keep his job or is he out in New Orleans?

    ReplyDelete
  38. Sexy Flexy Biff KensingtonDecember 29, 2014 at 7:44 AM

    LEL... you!

    ReplyDelete
  39. Couldn't agree with your last point more. Didn't always though. I was, looking back, quite the insufferable political douche for a while. Part of growing up, I think. But the internet really does make this kind of thing worse. Everyone gets to stay in their little blogosphere with other people who continually convince themselves that they're right and everyone else is a sheep, and things get more intolerant and polarised. Not really sure how to fix it.

    ReplyDelete
  40. It's the daily dot, I promise no BA's were harmed in the making of that site.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Bye Marc Trestman

    ReplyDelete
  42. Suh should be suspended.

    ReplyDelete
  43. If that D had been historically bad (see: two years ago, before Rob), he'd have been fired yesterday. I'm sure he'll get one more year, hopefully with a HEALTHY defense, to get it up to at least "average".

Asking for a repeat of his debut year might be a bit much, though.

    ReplyDelete
  44. MikeyMike, JuggernautDecember 29, 2014 at 7:46 AM

Well, there's MLK weekend and Memorial Day.

    ReplyDelete
  45. There goes my Kevin Nash vs Heath Slater dream match...

    ReplyDelete
  46. Is "Big Texan" a dead trope in wrestling? Are there any at the moment?

    ReplyDelete
  47. And easter and Cesar Chavez and Presidents' Day

    ReplyDelete
  48. We never get Monday's off here, so those are out, best wait is waiting for....oh 4th of July is on a Saturday, nevermind. No vacations until November, lol.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Washington and Lincolns, Good Friday, a week in april, hopefully a snow day or two. (the schedule's become the only decent thing about teaching)

    ReplyDelete
  50. MikeyMike, JuggernautDecember 29, 2014 at 7:48 AM

Is Cesar Chavez Day a thing in California?

    ReplyDelete
  51. I'd be down with that. Curious who goes 100+ million for Haynesworth the Second

    ReplyDelete
  52. At Los Angeles schools, yes

    ReplyDelete
  53. MikeyMike, JuggernautDecember 29, 2014 at 7:50 AM

I'm sure it'll be "encouraged" to work MLK Day this year and I guarantee I have to work the Saturday before Memorial Day as well. I was just bringing up the holidays in general. I'm taking a personal vacation for Mania that will be nice.

    ReplyDelete
  54. I didn't even notice... Is that bad?

    ReplyDelete
  55. Sad to see Mr. Wendal losing so badly. Loved that song.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Shave 25% off the far left and far right and we're set. Let those divisive fucks go save some other country that wants them.

    ReplyDelete
  57. fire drew brees dude fucked me in fantasy all year

    ReplyDelete
  58. There's no way to fix it. The internet gives the ability for anybody on the fringe of any opinion find dozens (hundreds?) of other people who agree with them and makes them feel validated.

There are entire online communities devoted to people with the most outlandish political and social ideas. They shockingly make the KKK seem relatively normal in comparison.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Knowing what I know about the Redskins after being a fan for 30+ years, we'll probably pick him up.

    ReplyDelete
  60. I'm hoping for the latter.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Sexy Flexy Biff KensingtonDecember 29, 2014 at 7:55 AM

I'm halfway hoping he gets canned so he can take the DC position in Atlanta when they hire Rex. Comic lols.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Texas isn't really his gimmick though.

    ReplyDelete
  63. I've soured on Johnny, not so much for the corny white guy bullshit/#HOTSPORTSTAKES reasons that repressed (jealous) middle-aged men cite, but rather that he's not interested in the job. No hard feelings, just time to try someone else who is in a place to do it.

    ReplyDelete
  64. How you don't notice that body being gone...

    ReplyDelete
  65. This is true. He does come out in a Longhorns t-shirt when they roll through Texas though (if he happens to be a babyface at the time).

    ReplyDelete
  66. Probably thought she was Rollins once or twice

    ReplyDelete
  67. Rollins doesn't have that kind of dedication to the squat rack.

    ReplyDelete
  68. MikeyMike, JuggernautDecember 29, 2014 at 8:01 AM

Yes. You should notice someone that hot not being on the show anymore.

    ReplyDelete
  69. YankeesHoganTripleHFanDecember 29, 2014 at 8:01 AM

Nah the difference is that Haynesworth never really liked football. By all accounts Suh loves playing. He won't steal some teams money the way Albert did.

  72. Axl isn't screaming? No buys.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Really hopeful it doesn't win the tournament.

    ReplyDelete
  74. The only good thing about it is it was mentioned in a John Mulaney stand up bit.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Retirement has done her well. Her pictures from her Twitter feed could ruin zippers.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Been at work for 7 minutes, it can go ahead and be Wednesday afternoon now.

    ReplyDelete
  78. Over/under 4 years on harbaugh at michigan?

    ReplyDelete
  79. That unexpected stars article irritated me to no end. THE BUNNY?! REALLY? Erick Rowan? Maybe but he was crushed by the Big Show before being given the chance. Dolph Ziggler? He WAS a breakout star in 2012 you idiots you just kept burying the man. I just don't even with this company.

    ReplyDelete
  80. If that happens will he have to kneel and kiss Bill's rings?

    ReplyDelete
  81. They also had jack swagger on the list

    ReplyDelete
  82. I don't really know much about football, and especially college, but what are the odds Michigan sees some kind of success before the 49ers? Because that should definitely happen.

    ReplyDelete
  83. Jack Thwagger should count his stars every night before bed that he still even has a job.

No fault of his own mind you, well other than the lisp, but he's never going to recover from what creative's done with him over the years.

    ReplyDelete
  84. The only legit guy on that list would be Mizdow.

    ReplyDelete
  85. Two down in Chicago, about four more to go by my count.

    ReplyDelete
  86. God yes. I wanted to turn around and go back home as soon as I got off the elevator.

    ReplyDelete
  87. I worked yesterday but Sunday's don't count because I don't unlock the door and I don't answer the phone lol

    ReplyDelete
  88. They'll put up with his shit as long as he produces a winner and beats Ohio State. Grown men in the NFL had no time for his antics.

    ReplyDelete
  89. Hopefully long enough for him to bring Ric Flair in for another depressing "pep talk" that ends in him hitting players up for beer money in the parking lot.

    ReplyDelete
  90. Say what now?

    ReplyDelete
  91. Wait, what? Please explain this story.

    ReplyDelete
  92. I've been at work 3 hours and yelled at 3 customers and 2 company employees. I've been at this job 1 1/2 years and before today had yelled at 0 people. So yea bring on Wednesday.

    ReplyDelete
  93. The antics of a winner?

    ReplyDelete
  94. I've been asking for this for weeks. I'm a very happy man right now.

    ReplyDelete
  95. I've been lying on my couch watching monk for last 75 min. Don't have to work again for 2 weeks

    ReplyDelete
  96. I think he gets one more year since the players just love him. Also Payton goes through DCs too much

    ReplyDelete
  97. The rah-rah dictator that runs around with the guys doesn't have a tendency of working in the NFL (See Schiano, Greg). It takes a toll on management and the players. It's a shame.

    ReplyDelete
  98. Well I'm going to politely tell you to go to hell.

    ReplyDelete
  99. November Rain is not a good song, it is bad.

    ReplyDelete
  100. I did not laugh out loud

    ReplyDelete
  101. Flair was brought in to give the 49ers a pep talk last season and apparently the beginning was a bit depressing as he implied he had nothing else going on at the time, and it was clear he had financial motivations for giving the speech. He then claimed to have gotten death threats for turning on his hometown Panthers.

    ReplyDelete
  102. It's PR, especially with all the domestic abuse that happened this past fall. I'm sure they will welcome Nash back when everything is resolved.

    ReplyDelete
  103. Yea, they really didn't play well for Harbaugh

    ReplyDelete
  104. Kyle Orton has retired. Goodnight, sweet neckbeard.

    ReplyDelete
  105. It sure as hell wasn't his coaching that got him fired. He's a tyrant who doesn't play well with others, apparently.

    ReplyDelete
  106. LOL. That's tremendous. Weren't they doing well last year?

    ReplyDelete
  107. This is my first year working for a University and enjoying a loooong Christmas break. I've however been really ill since the 22nd, so joke's on me.

    ReplyDelete
  108. The 49ers are morons

    ReplyDelete
  109. He will comeback. Just wait a few months for a starting qb to go down

    ReplyDelete
  110. That's some bullshit, I'd fake sick in February or something you deserve it.

    ReplyDelete
  111. Well, yeah. If you're winning, then you can be as prickly as you want, in my opinion. But GMs have huge egos too, so.....

    ReplyDelete
  112. Did he retire OUTTA NOWHERE?

    ReplyDelete
  113. Do I need to book a flight to Washington or did it go well?

    ReplyDelete
  114. I used to work for a college and we always got 2 - 2.5 weeks off for Christmas. It was glorious. It's the only thing I miss about that job.

    ReplyDelete
  115. Were you surrounded by hot college students?

    ReplyDelete
  116. LOL. I've always loved that song. I liked about 75% of the songs on the Illusion albums.

    ReplyDelete
  117. It was a women's college. So yes.

    ReplyDelete
  118. The Bunny was the only part of Adam Rose's act that got over at all so . . .

    ReplyDelete
  119. And you don't miss being surrounded by hot college babes at an all women's college?

    What was the job?

    ReplyDelete
  120. Andrew Luck will carry on the tradition of horrible fucking beards from this point forward.

    ReplyDelete
  121. Everything went great man, better than expected. I did the dishes after breakfast to cement my hero status lol

    ReplyDelete
  122. That went well, I think he just wants the time off from work.

    ReplyDelete
  123. Breast inspector.

    ReplyDelete
  124. Network administrator. Which isn't much fun when your IT department is cheap as all hell, your technology is at least 3 years behind what the rest of the world is using, and your boss is too busy running around chasing ass to worry about the infrastructure.

  125. Very nice. Congratulations. :: Closes Expedia.com tab ::

    ReplyDelete
  126. Better look: neck beard, Wyatt beard or the jeff hardy beard?

    ReplyDelete
  127. I'd kind of rather lose a foot or something and never work again, that'd be cool. Get a little 1 bedroom and do the SSI thing like a champ.

    ReplyDelete
  128. Everyone is entitled to an opinion and everyone is entitled to like bad songs. I happen to enjoy Who Lets The Dogs Out, even though I know it's a tire fire of a song.

    ReplyDelete
  129. No one prepared me for how intense that whole thing is, everyone made jokes and stuff, no one told me I'd be breathing into a paper bag after it was over.

    ReplyDelete
  130. Wyatt's fits the character, but if he wasn't that character it wouldn't look good. Jeff's I guess is a little better.

    ReplyDelete
  131. LOL... well fair warning you have just gotten through... the easiest part. A wedding is a wretched affair to plan... and then you have to you know... be married.

    ReplyDelete
  132. Jeff's beard? You mean like with designs cut in it and stuff? I hate when dudes do that, even when they trim just the small line beard...like, you should really be too busy for that.

    ReplyDelete
  133. Unless my gaming backlog is truly fucked (always possible), I'd go crazy in about 12-18 months. I've done the "retired" bit in 2011 (and late 05-early 06) already, not interested in another round anytime soon.

    ReplyDelete
  134. MVP should go to DeMarco Murray. He killed all other running backs this year.

    ReplyDelete
  135. Wedding was easy to plan; she usually wants to do 90% of it anyway so let her.
Just don't screw up the 10%

    ReplyDelete
  136. She'll plan it, she knows I don't care about any of that. Her immediate thought was renting some beach houses, bringing in the family, doing it on the beach with just a judge or something, then going back to the house and partying for a weekend. As I expected she's way more about the honeymoon being the big affair, the wedding is just a pre-req we have to get through.

    ReplyDelete
  137. Vince doesn't have enough money to pay me to look like Wyatt, Harper, or Rowan.

    ReplyDelete
  138. Yeah, would be sweet but we all know a defensive guy ain't getting it.

    ReplyDelete
  139. So is Cena/Lesnar gonna go on last this year, or will they need the Rumble to go last so they can gimmick the ring and find an even wackier way to eliminate Ambrose?

    ReplyDelete
  140. I think the Rumble should always be last, but that's just me.

    ReplyDelete
  141. Aaron Rodgers and it's not even close. And shit, I'm a Bears fan saying it.

    ReplyDelete
  142. Kind of. Unlike his namesake however, sudden movement is out of character for him.

    ReplyDelete
  143. Rodgers played like shit the last few weeks.

    ReplyDelete
  144. I agree, but of course they are acting like Cena/Lesnar III is the biggest match in the history of time.

    ReplyDelete
  145. Wyatt beard. Neckbeards are awful.

    ReplyDelete
  146. I worked for a theater where the district manager, who was a southern gentleman, literally came in and fired any black guy that worked there and claimed they weren't "Rave material".

For the record, Rave Theaters are the worst.

    ReplyDelete
  147. Watt made a glorified CFL team look like a contender from the D-Line. That's a different level of dominance.

    ReplyDelete
  148. HowmuchdoesthisguyweighDecember 29, 2014 at 8:42 AM

Definitely not Rodgers. He should be somewhere between 3-5 in voting IMO. And I'm a huge Rodgers fan.

    ReplyDelete
  149. You mean the 2 years he got?

    ReplyDelete
  150. I was pretty calm when I proposed, surprisingly.

    ReplyDelete
  151. One of my friends in South Florida knew Haynesworth's wife and hung out with him a few times. He said Haynesworth was a huge twat and would openly admit to hating being in Washington and just collecting a check.

    ReplyDelete
  152. I HATE Aaron Rodgers, but I think he should get it. Pack without Rodgers get a top 5 pick, Texans without Watt are about the same. The Packers won that division because of Rodgers (and an assist by the shitty NFC North).

    ReplyDelete
  153. Nothing like waking up to finding out that Emery and Trestman have been fired. Please, Bears, find a coach and GM that can get things done, starting with BUILDING A GODDAMN DEFENSE.

    ReplyDelete
  154. He played hurt yesterday and put on one of the gutsiest performances I've ever seen. Son of a bitch did a QB sneak to score a touchdown on a bad leg.

    ReplyDelete
  155. I disagree. GNR ballads in general are quite awesome.

    ReplyDelete
  156. Interested to hear what Bill Barnwell has to say, since he was always slurping how great Emery was.

    ReplyDelete
  157. JJ Watt dominated offensive linemen like no one since Lawrence Taylor. And he scored 5 TDs

    ReplyDelete
  158. I bet anything they name Rex Ryan head coach

    ReplyDelete

Unexpected breakout stars... AND YOU HAVE A FUCKING BELLA THERE.

    Of course, of course.

    ReplyDelete
  160. Yeah I don't think I've ever been that stressed out in my entire life, I couldn't really hear much after I got down on the knee because my pulse was like crashing cymbals in my ears. Harrowing is a good word for it.

    ReplyDelete
  161. Wyatt. That's a MANLY beard.

    ReplyDelete
  162. He can win as many games there as he wants as long as the Buckeyes stomp them every year.

    ReplyDelete
  163. he doesn't have any ideas... he's just a random guy that was desperately trying to get out of the wrestling business less than a year before he was put in charge of WCW with auditions to be a game show host

The broom attacker is Paul Orndorff.

    ReplyDelete
  167. The broom continues that epic feud with Flair by attacking his Horsemen buddies

    ReplyDelete
  168. Maybe 2 months. The episode where he got hurt was right after his last match against Disco Inferno in early December.

    ReplyDelete
  169. From thehistoryofwwe on the Raw from that same night:

"Shawn Michaels & Diesel defeated Davey Boy Smith & Yokozuna (w/ Jim Cornette) via count-out when Yoko was sent to the floor by Michaels' superkick and knocked out;"
Ah, so THAT'S how the power outage happened in the middle of bad-crazy Florida. Yokozuna fell out of the ring 3 weeks earlier during a Raw pre-tape in Stockton, CA.

    ReplyDelete
  170. And just 3 years later that broom would carry Jim Duggan to a *** match for the TV title

    ReplyDelete
  171. He certainly did yell it in the NWA, but it was never part of their theme.

    ReplyDelete
  172. They have a script and format to follow that they religiously adhere to it. They never like to change. The only reason why they got away from cartoon character gimmicks in squash matches in mid 90's despite declining business is because wcw nitro forced them to reinvent their product in order to stay in business. There is no direct threat to them now so we will continue to see the same tired format with rotating characters reciting their scripted promos until some outside force forces them to revamp, think outside box, and change product, format, setting and way presented

  173. What has WWE done in past few years that can be considered innovative with their product, format, and presentation? And please dont say wwe network

  174. You mean shawn pulling down his pants to show his ass and pubes to a mostly straight male audience isnt a ratings grabber?

  175. Paul Heyman's ideas should be sought instead. He has always had a pulse on what is hip and knows wrestling needs to constantly evolve with the times rather then continue a stale format. Bischoff didnt do crap last few years in wcw and his 'ideas' in TNA did what exactly?

  178. You say that now. At the time Benoit wasnt anywhere viewed in Savage's league or any type of threat to get belt

  181. Because he was never established as being in said league. That's precisely the point.

  182. We planned our trip from the 26-28, and unfortunately they were closed the entire time, not re-opening until the new year. I'm deeply disappointed that a place dedicated completely to Christmas isn't open at all, since everyone's still in the Christmas spirit. In contrast, Santa's Workshop was hopping with activity on Saturday night.

  183. It's normally colder in the area it's located. It's also in a much more rural (most likely) area than the place you ended up going. Economically it's not really feasible to keep it open for the small chance of doing some business. Maybe you can go in the summer when there's more Business or schedule a visit next year on one of its open weekends.

  184. That's the plan ... my wife is a bit of a Christmas geek, so we're going to find some time on a long weekend next summer to head down and see what the excitement is all about.

  185. It's not all that great, don't expect super amazing. That said its a nice day trip for the family with rides and shows and a few animals. it's definitely more for children than adults, though that might've changed in the years since I've gone with the new owner ship and all.
