  1. Just thought the same thing. Losing nearly a fifth of your audience just looks bad.

    ReplyDelete
  2. Hopefully, they'll have one last match for Brock on the RAW

    ReplyDelete
  3. I don't see the problem, it just seems natural that people would tune out for the 3rd hour, since it's late, and they might have had their "fix" in the first 2 hours. If the USA Network gives them a ton of money for the 3rd hour, regardless of ratings... Why not?

    ReplyDelete
  4. On the Lesnar news... at that point we will be able to say... his time is up his time is now?

    ReplyDelete
  5. It isn't any later than it was when it was 2 hours.

    ReplyDelete
  6. It wouldn't surprise me if Brock signs another extension before WM 31. We shall see what happens.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Oh, wasn't sure of the exact times. So ok then, we'll go with my "get your fix in 2 hours" thing. :)

    ReplyDelete
  8. yeah, i'd imagine they could try and get another year out of him.

    ReplyDelete
  9. I WIN! I KICKED YOUR ASS! I DON'T HAVE MUCH TO CELEBRATE ABOUT TODAY SO I AM INVENTING THINGS!

    ReplyDelete
  10. No other show on the planet has this ratings pattern. There's nothing natural about it, it’s
ungodly! The 3rd hour has the main event in it, I can't see any positive spin on people tuning out for the last hour of the show. A good show should build up viewership.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Congratulations parallax!

    ReplyDelete
  12. The kids have to be up for school. The show ends at 11 on the East Coast of the US.

    ReplyDelete
  13. OH YEAH? WELL... I'M GONNA TURN TOTALLY PASSIVE-AGRESSIVE AGAINST YOU, WHILE HIDING MY SEETHING ANGER! HOW DO YOU LIKE THEM APPLES??

    ReplyDelete
  14. I actually prefer a nice orange or a grapefruit if you have one.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Ziggler = Ratings bust?? (he's main evented back to back raws) JOB HIM OUT TO KANE ASAP!

    ReplyDelete
  16. I'm TimeandtheRani and I approve this message.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Thanks!

  19. Here, have an upvote too!

    ReplyDelete
  20. Heck, I believe it ends at Midnight in the Maritimes, and 12:30 in Newfoundland!! Gotta love Canadian time zones!

    ReplyDelete
  21. Thanks.

:: Throws orange peel that Vince gave him on the floor ::

    Pick that up would ya'?

    ReplyDelete
  22. All I have is sour grapes buddy.

    ReplyDelete
  23. I figured you would have a banana because they are kinda shaped like a pee pee cause you are a FAG!

    ReplyDelete
  24. I think the demographics were something like 18% of the audience is under 18. Ratings declined about 20%... The figures add up!

    ReplyDelete
  25. See because that is part of Cena's music and Lesnar is leaving therefore his time is up...

    :: Taps mic. ::

    IS THIS THING ON?

    ReplyDelete
  26. Back off, parallax.

    ReplyDelete
  27. :: Erases one of your sucking up points ::

    ReplyDelete
  28. I would have acknowledged it, but I'm still raging over earlier! SO THERE!! *DOWNVOTE!*

    ReplyDelete
  29. Downvote: "YOU CAN'T SEE ME!"

    ReplyDelete
  30. Yeah you do that. Hey, where’d you get that eraser, the jerk store?

    ReplyDelete
  31. Oh yeah? WELL HE HAD SEX WITH YOUR WIFE! (literally)

    ReplyDelete
  32. I take it all back. I panicked about my performance review and got abusive.

    ReplyDelete
  33. The biggest problem I have with this 'greatest song of the 90s' thing is that by trying to provide a variety of genres in each selection, people are just going to vote for the genre that they like.

e.g. "I ain't voting for no Backstreet Boys! ... I guess I'll have to vote for Black Crowes, at least they weren't fags or doing none of that goddamn rap music"

Which doesn't answer any questions except, "What genres of music does PTBN's viewership prefer in 2014"

    ReplyDelete
  34. I was visiting family in NB one year during football season. Games starting at 2 was weird.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Once you start hearing rumors about him fighting for the UFC again, you'll know he's about to sign an extension with WWE.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Vince was on Raw basically ignoring everything Renee Young said and saying random shit like "You know I don't know how to whistle?" before implying he can't wait till Raw is over so he can do Austin's podcast. Even he doesn't care what's happening on Raw

    ReplyDelete
  37. Hoping for a meltdown or new troll today.

    ReplyDelete
  38. If Matt Perri has indeed stopped doing the Main Event recaps then I feel we have all been denied a meltdown. I for one feel cheated and think that I dunno, Thomas Hall or Logan Sisco or TPrincess ought to step in and have a kind of mini-meltdown, just to keep us loyal readers happy!

    ReplyDelete
  39. ME TOO!

I'll let you decide exactly what I mean by that.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Must be weird yep. I think most of North American is conditioned to think that the Eastern time zone is the latest. (well, it is for 99.9999% of the North american population I guess).

    ReplyDelete
  41. Oh I get it, this is a reference to MVP!

    ReplyDelete
  42. I marked out hard when he said he doesn't know how to whistle (remember there was a dumbass guy next to me who whistled about 34 of the 36 hours of work every week. Damn i'm glad he got transferred to another department.)

    ReplyDelete
  43. How long is this tournament going to go on?

It's starting to feel like the AWA Team Challenge Series

    ReplyDelete
  44. MikeyMike, WitnessDecember 4, 2014 at 7:42 AM

Won't really miss Brock. Well he's never around anyway lol!

    ReplyDelete
  45. MikeyMike, WitnessDecember 4, 2014 at 7:42 AM

    There's like 650 songs

    ReplyDelete
  46. Jake "The Milkman" Milliman was the MVP.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Can he roll his R's though? Maybe we'll find out next week

    ReplyDelete
  48. MikeyMike, WitnessDecember 4, 2014 at 7:45 AM

No love for Bump n Grind? AWFUL!

    ReplyDelete
  49. Semi TJ: I'm looking forward to the complaints about the Cena/Rollins tables match.

If Rollins wins: "Meh who cares, a tables match means nothing, so he didn't really beat Cena. Whatever".

If Cena wins :"OH FOR F*CK'S SAKES!! CENA JUST BURIED ROLLINS, AND NOW ROLLINS IS JUST ANOTHER GUY FOR LOSING. F*CK THIS COMPANY!!!

    ReplyDelete
  50. It got stuck in a tough group.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Spoiler alert! I was looking forward to that thread and now you've ruined it.

    ReplyDelete
  52. The group of death metal?

    ReplyDelete
  53. Fucking Hootie man, yeah!! \m/

    ReplyDelete
  54. I knew WWE Studios was a bust, but I had no idea it was this much of a bust:
    http://whatculture.com/wwe/10-wwe-studios-movies-lost-millions.php

WWE Studios has lost $35.8 million since inception, and at least 9 movies have lost $3 million or more. This is mind-boggling shit in the movie business.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Damn, you could finance like 1/3 of a senate campaign for that...

    ReplyDelete
  56. Shut it down. You win for the day.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Triple-H's fucking face in this photo: http://cdn3.whatculture.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/TheChaperone.jpg

Has anyone actually seen this movie?

    ReplyDelete
  58. Biggie is doing better today than he did with Juicy. Also glad to see BSB getting votes, was worried they would get overlooked.

    ReplyDelete
  59. One regular poster here refuses to vote for anything but Alt. rock.

    ReplyDelete
  60. I listened to nothing but alt-rock in the 90s. One can only tell one's own truth.

    ReplyDelete
  61. MikeyMike, WitnessDecember 4, 2014 at 7:52 AM

Am I the only one that thinks they can do Rollins and Ambrose again? I think it they could do that at Mania. "Seth, just because Bray distracted me the last few months doesn't mean I haven't forgotten about you"

    ReplyDelete
  62. Absolutely. Happens all the time. Just like job references, examples can be provided upon request.

    ReplyDelete
  63. It really is a tough one. Two of 2Pac's most well known songs, Hootie, No Doubt... Skee-Lo and En Vogue got it rough too in that one.

    ReplyDelete
  64. With that in mind, if the songs were listed by genre, you could vote for the best alt-rock songs of the 90s, rather than just always voting for alt-rock because you don't like the other genres so much.

    ReplyDelete
  65. BSB doing well today as is Biggie, so that is good.

    ReplyDelete
  66. A group of death metal would be great. Then we could see how the best death metal song of the 90s, as voted for by YOU, compares when it gets into the 'finals'.

    ReplyDelete
  67. MikeyMike, WitnessDecember 4, 2014 at 7:56 AM

I remember laughing that this got inducted into the Wrestlecrap HoF before it was ever released.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Which is bullshit, because 'I Wish' is the best song ever (maybe).

    ReplyDelete
  69. That's the face he gave Punk when he told him he was going over in their Night of Champions 2011 match.

    ReplyDelete
  70. I watched it with my girlfriend on Netflix. It's not good at all, it's really boring and unfunny.

Bear in mind that we watched the Big Show's 'Knucklehead' the day before and we both managed to get a lot (intentional and unintentional) laughs out of it.

    ReplyDelete
  71. I watched it on Netflix. Thought it was ok. Don't expect to watch it again.

    ReplyDelete
  72. I think Ambrose costs Rollins his cash-in attempt at The Rumble and that sets up their Mania blowoff.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Oh shit - Ziggler Vs Harper ladder match at TLC

    ReplyDelete
  74. As much as I wanted to see a Rollins/Ziggler TLC match main event the PPV, I still think this will be great.

    ReplyDelete
  75. I think Scott should meltdown at some point.

    ReplyDelete
  76. That might be me.

    ReplyDelete
  77. I was surprised how well the whiny ass R.E.M. song was doing.

    ReplyDelete
  78. ...Yeah I'm not dissing either artist or the genre they represent, so we're clear.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Or you could just not take it so seriously and enjoy remembering the different songs since this doesn't really matter in the end...

    ReplyDelete
  80. Matt Johnson of 'The The' votes for alt rock!

    ReplyDelete
  81. Definitely didn't think that. I get your point and it is an obstacle.

On the other hand, this is really just meant to be for fun and to generate discussion and provide some nostalgia.

That is why it is so many songs as well.

    ReplyDelete
  82. I don't get it... I don't see nothing wrong with a little Bump N' Grind.

    ReplyDelete
  83. Enjoy remembering? Jesus, most of these songs I go out of my way to try and forget!

    ReplyDelete
  84. Haha, I actually got an email from him when I was in college. He stumbled upon one of my crappy geocities pages and just said hi and plugged their new cd.

    ReplyDelete
  85. Card is shaping up to look very decent. Ambrose/Wyatt will step it up a notch too, I think.

    ReplyDelete
  86. Hits a little too close to home for me.

    ReplyDelete
  87. I have no problem with it being so many songs, and I'm glad that you can appreciate a bit of well-meant positive criticism!

    ReplyDelete
  88. Then, again... WHY SO SERIOUS?

    ReplyDelete
  89. Did he request you follow his Xanga page?

    ReplyDelete
  90. When read in William Regal's voice, any criticism can be appreciated.

    ReplyDelete
  91. I'm not serious. As I've just said to PTBN: it's just well-meant positive criticism. Saying 'Hey, is this the best way to do this maybe?' That's all.

I've been voting in it as much as anyone!

    ReplyDelete
  92. I believe he found me via a HotBot search.

    ReplyDelete
  93. You're forgetting the time that he kidnapped Triple H and made him smell Scott's smelly poutine farts, as part of an evil scheme to give Christ Benoit the WWE title.

    ReplyDelete
  94. MikeyMike, WitnessDecember 4, 2014 at 8:09 AM

It's going to be **** minimum.

    ReplyDelete
  95. You clearly hate that it is being done democratically. Fascist!

    ReplyDelete
  96. It ALMOST worked... If it weren't for that stupid pervert Y2Q ruining it all!!!

    ReplyDelete
  97. What's the problem bud? The rabbit in your hat lost its bat?

    ReplyDelete
  98. And it will make the IC title mean like a big deal, for the first time in forever. So that's good too.

    ReplyDelete
  99. If they offered him one, I don't see why he wouldn't. He's making more than a million dollars for each fight!

    ReplyDelete
  100. Hope so. Wyatt started his PPV calendar with an awesome showing against Bryan. Since then, Wyatt on PPV has usually been one of the weakest segments for me... sadly.

    ReplyDelete
  101. How? HOW DID YOU KNOW THAT?

    ReplyDelete
  102. Actually... what I'm suggesting is that genres should go through 'primaries' of voting until finally the best one from each is chosen to go up against 'the other guys' in a final knock-down drag-out fight (or 'election').

The way the voting is done now, therefore is UNAMERICAN, UNPATRIOTIC and I think you're all a bunch of stinking lefty commie pinkos.

    ReplyDelete
  103. Timeandtherani's wife told me.

    ReplyDelete
  104. She told ME she saw YOU steal that rabbit's bat. What a lowlife, Dean Andrews.

    ReplyDelete
  105. What if one genre has more entries than another then? How is that fair to Polish Adult Contemporary Orchestra music?

    ReplyDelete
  106. MikeyMike, WitnessDecember 4, 2014 at 8:17 AM

I'm excited to be there live.

    ReplyDelete
  107. Dude. I'm not advocating an international crime here. Just some funny blog stuff.

    Jeez.

    ReplyDelete
  108. This is hilarious.I posted it in the writing thread because it really is another thing that results from WWE's shitty writing.

    ReplyDelete
  109. Punk: "So Brock's going over at WM huh? Well who's gonna be there the next night?"

    Vince: "Well, Brock is."

    Punk: "....."

    ReplyDelete
  110. What is John Cena doing at the TLC ppv?

    ReplyDelete
  111. Even with your 14 Year old protege?

    ReplyDelete
  112. Uh... Hey guys, how about that PTBN song tournament, huh?!

    ReplyDelete
  113. It's called Intrusive Thought Disorder. It''s a real thing you can get pills for now.

    ReplyDelete
  114. Jesus. Way to put a soft one over the plate.

    ReplyDelete
  115. This is SC, that's barely even a crime... and Ayliah was worth a roll of the dice.

    ReplyDelete
  116. Sounds like commie social engineering to ME. You're the pinko! This tournament is a free-market free-for-all just as it should be! USA! USA!

    ReplyDelete
  117. t took me several months, but I’ve taught myself to do that Roy Orbison growl he does on “Pretty Woman”. Let that be a lesson to you all, never ever give up on something no matter how long it takes, or how many times you have to try or how many buses you get kicked off of because of it.

How does I Wish not get more love?

    ReplyDelete
  119. Wait, Ambrose vs Wyatt is a TLC match? Are they gonna grab something............or?

    ReplyDelete
  120. Meh I like my jokes the way I like my women... easy and not much effort required.

    ReplyDelete
  121. These are two matches where all four guys will be competing for match of the night for sure - exciting stuff. Just hope they don't do the 'bury your opponent under props and hit props with a chair' spot - I don't understand that at all

    ReplyDelete
  122. There will be a brass ring hung just SLIGHTLY too high above the ring.

    ReplyDelete
  123. I refuse to vote for anything but Ross Perot. I've been writing his name in on every ballot for over 20 years now, even as a 3rd Baseman for the All Star Game

    ReplyDelete
  124. SHENANIGANS.

no one here types f*ck. Knock it off.

    Jerk.

    ReplyDelete
  125. Well that makes sense though... he had a good glove and a decent throwing arm.

    ReplyDelete
  126. Yeah you're right, I've taken it too far... hey guess what I just found!

    I also wish I was a baller.

    ReplyDelete
  128. I don't know about that. Ambrose putting Bray in a trash can, knocking him over, and than wailing on the can with a chair for a while would be pretty awesome.

    ReplyDelete
  129. It's fairer my way because only the BEST Polish Adult Contemporary Orchestra song will go through to the SUDDEN DEATH PLAY-OFFS.
Where all genres would be fairly represented.

    ReplyDelete
  130. They'll use the ladder to break through the glass ceiling.

Yea, that sounded better in my head. I don't know.

    ReplyDelete
  131. It was truly a brilliant piece. And I think lots of smarks hated it because it simply hit too close to home.

He also got a lot of the wrestlers' character traits down to a tee.

    ReplyDelete
  132. True story. I bought that CD towards the end of that songs life cycle... I lent it to my friend after a while (God that sentence barely makes sense in today's world) and while he had it his house burned down and he lost everything... including my Skee Lo CD. By that point his 15 minutes were up and it was difficult to find another copy of it for a long time.

I never forgave that inconsiderate prick for losing my CD.

    ReplyDelete
  133. Oh yeah that would be cool, I was thinking more along the lines of what Ambrose did to him on Raw the other week. Just covered him in loads of ladders and chairs and started wailing on this massive pile with a chair

    ReplyDelete
  134. I prefer the original version that doesn't start with "You May Skip This Ad In....."

Thank you btw, this shit will be blasting ALL DAY here

    ReplyDelete
  135. I'm out of order? YOU'RE out of order! This whole blog is out of order!

    ReplyDelete
  136. There was the six-man against the Shield. And the Last Man Standing match against Cena. Besides that, I can't think of any other good matches.

    ReplyDelete
  137. I have a similar story to tell with the scream that Tom Araya does at the start of 'Angel of Death'

    ReplyDelete
  138. I would've sworn the TLC ppv already happened.

    ReplyDelete
  139. Creates an illusion of chaos without actually hurting the guy. It's fine with me.

    ReplyDelete
  140. Oh man, I just realized I had Skee Lo and Cee Lo confused with one another. Shit.

    ReplyDelete
  141. Definitely worth catching a case over

    ReplyDelete
  142. So do the Minnesota Timberwolves.

    ReplyDelete
  143. Creates an illusion of chaos, but not actually an illusion of hurting the guy (which is kind of the point)

    ReplyDelete
  144. For clarification:

One is short, the other believes rape isn't rape if she's unconscious.

    Happy to help.

    ReplyDelete
  145. It does end at 12:30 here in NL. We used to all watch in our dorm back in college and we would all be so tired the next day due to a combination of the late end / the early rise / the ritual of shotgunning a beer every commercial break.

It was worth it though because this was around Wrestlemania 23 and I found that time period to be really, really good.

    ReplyDelete
  146. I can't be the only person that was shocked the Cee Lo raped a woman right?

    ReplyDelete
  147. That's EXACTLY what I think will happen, and what I've been to an extent 'excusing' the feud for, because that's what I think their endgame is.

If it's not, then I'll be a hell of a lot more critical about the last few months of WWE in hindsight, next year.

    ReplyDelete
  148. I'll never understand why so many wrestling fan's sanity has such a hair trigger. I've seen people go nuts in other forums and usenet groups, some spectacularly, but not at the same rate you get here

    ReplyDelete
  149. "With an obvious punch line"

    ReplyDelete
  150. "This song depresses me, im 17, 5'6" with a 6'5" dad. I think about committing suicide if I don't grow any taller. I don't want to live my life a manlet with a giant dad. How the fuck is he my father if I'm a foot shorter than him. "

    LOL "manlet"

    God I love YouTube comments

    ReplyDelete
  151. Maybe he's crazy?

    ReplyDelete
  152. This could be a good card. I really hope Rowan makes a good showing. Show can put on good big man matches, and I like the Rowan character so far.

    ReplyDelete
  153. That's creepy. It's like they mixed HHH's face with Shane's.

    ReplyDelete
  154. Was listening to the radio and they are damn near giving tickets away

    ReplyDelete
  155. "Manlet" is going into the regular vocabulary now.

    ReplyDelete
  156. It seems perfectly logical that this is just a side feud, to stretch out Ambrose/Rollins until Mania. Of course the skeptics will claim that WWE "forgot" the feud, then are starting it again for no reason because they are stupid.

    ReplyDelete
  157. He's about as threatening as a bowling ball.

    ReplyDelete
  158. You're talking about me. AREN'T YOU?

    (etc.)

    ReplyDelete
  159. I guess the roofie in my pocket
    wasn't enough
to forget who forced that sex on you!

    ReplyDelete
  160. Cee Lo also has baby hands. Like a carnie.

    ReplyDelete
  161. "You're lying on the ground after I spiked your drink, and I'm gonna... FUCK YOOOUU"

    ReplyDelete
  162. Yep. I see this as all part of 'Ambrose's Road To Revenge'. Meanwhile, chickenshit heel Rollins remains out of reach. It's either classic booking or just a massive sad coincidence.

    ReplyDelete
  163. Russo went off about that on his Raw review. If Vince basically says this Raw doesn't matter, why should we care? Put all WWE programming on the Network then.

    ReplyDelete
  164. Yeesh. A company kills an entire region's pro wrestling culture and they can't sell tickets. Who knew?

    ReplyDelete
  165. um...are we talking about fisting? We're talking about fisting, aren't we?

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  167. I wish the Always Sunny gang were half as productive as the dunces from Trailer Park Boys, those guys seem to have a new thing on Netflix every four days.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  169. It's a sad day when Russo is the Vince who makes most sense.

I'm so glad I don't need to lend anyone CDs, DVDs or books anymore. Best side effect of going digital, everyone can find their own fucking copy.

My sister once let the family across the street borrow our VCR and a collection of Disney movies, and then they had a fire in their basement. She also gave that same family my entire collection of GI Joes, which I soon began to see pieces of in the middle of the road.

    My sister was an idiot.

    ReplyDelete
  171. All I got from that 30 second promo was that he was excited about doing the podcast. I didn't read anything more out of it than that.

    ReplyDelete
  172. The Last Man Standing match for me was brought down by the referee forgetting it was a LMS match and not bothering to count for most of the match, but otherwise I'm in agreement.

    ReplyDelete
  173. Oh, Mr. Big Shot 5'6" guy!

UGH I wish my fellow short dudes would be less angry about it. The rest of us can't get mad about completely unrelated things because we're accused of short man's disease.

    ReplyDelete
  174. I wish I had a girl who looked good; I would call her.

    ReplyDelete
  175. That's not PG...

    ReplyDelete

  178. They are giving them away. RAW attendance in Buffalo last month was under 9000, which compared to when I cared about going to live shows and how hard it was to get tickets is hard to believe.

  179. How many are they giving away? I remember a PPV in 2003 when they were giving tickets on radio shows too, I think it's a common thing. (as long as it's not hundreds or anything)

  186. I don't understand the need to do so publicly. I've gotten ticked off a time or two and vented a bit beyond schtick or gimmick, but nothing like what seems to occur on a regular basis. The time or two I've had enough, I just went away for a few days; it was more about me and the crap in my own life than anything here.

If I'm really pissed off at someone, I won't go back and forth beyond a certain point. But, you know. Whatever gets people through their day, I guess.
