BoD Daily Update

Daniel Bryan Update

Despite not being used on TV last night, Bryan was flown in for RAW. No reason yet as for why he was not used during the show.

Why Was the Royal Rumble Match Originally Advertised as a 40 Man Match?

With the Rumble being held in Philadephia, the original plan was for some of the ECW original wrestlers to be part of the match to make it a 40 man match but WWE officials decided to nix the idea.

Shelton Benjamin Update

Despite a rumor floating around about Benjamin returning to the WWE, there are no plans for him to return to the company. There was a story floating around that the WWE filed a trademark for the Shelton Benjamin name but the real story is that the WWE filed a notice of cancellation on 11/14 that they were no longer claiming ownership of that name.

  1. Someone put Tommy Dreamer on suicide watch!!!

And who is the black lady in that preview? I find her nice looking. (My version of BBW is Big BLACK woman I guess)

    ReplyDelete
  2. Sojo Bolt. She is a womens wrestler that was in TNA for a bit.

    ReplyDelete
  3. Nice! She seems cuddly.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Some real choice nuggets today. Feel bad for all the Shekton fans who were crowing about his return yesterday.

I didn't watch all of Raw last night, but of what I saw the majority of it sucked. I enjoyed AMBROSE in the smoking ambulance. Great visual.

    ReplyDelete
  5. They really gave Roman Reigns Superstar of the year?

    ReplyDelete
  6. Yep. Just a big ol' dick to the face right there.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Yep, I have in the past compared Ambrose's current build to Austin's original rise, in the sense that he doesn't win many matches, but he always comes back for more, with an "I'll kick your ass no matter what' attitude.... And now he's using vehicles too, just like Austin did. No, I don't think he's the next Austin, but I am very optimistic about his push. Even if he loses this weekend.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Well, it's a PPV match, so yeah he's gonna lose.

    ReplyDelete
  9. I didn't watch the show, I'm not a masochist, and judging by the top comments from the live thread it looks spectacularly bad.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Maggggggle, the Big show is 7 feet tall, 500 pounds. He's a former 2 time WWE Champion, 2 time World Champion, 2 time World Heavyweight Champion, 3 time WCW Champion, one time ECW Champion, one time WWE World Heavyweight champion, one time WWE Undisputed Champion, two time Undisputed World Champion and a former 6 time Undisputed World Wrestling Champion.

    ReplyDelete
  11. The crushed trachea bit was retarded. It got crushed on Friday at Smackdown and he is back the following Monday?

    ReplyDelete
  12. Alvarez's meltdown on that was pretty epic.

    ReplyDelete
  13. TOUGH SOB, BABY. And that's just childs play compared to Austin getting a cinder block smashed on his knee, or HHH coming back 8 days after falling from 40 feet up in a car, or Rock being trapped in an ambulance with a semi truck smashing into it.

    ReplyDelete
  14. They're gonna say it's bad no matter what. It would be like saying "I didn't see the Chris Rock stand up show, but according to this KKK sponsored website, it sucked."

    ReplyDelete
  15. I don't understand why the Ambulance was smoking. Also,Auston would have been driving the Ambulamce. Who was driving Anbrose? Why did they let him fill up the Ambulance with tables, ladders and chairs? Austin would have stolen the ambulance and drove it in because he's the toughest SOB there is. Anbrose had a chauffeur and an ambulance full of dry ice and props. The visual was cool, but I don't think it did AMBROSE any long term favors.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Even in kayfabe terms, he didn't really do much... Six mans and two wins over Orton and Rollins? I don't think that compares well to previous winners years.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Hey, Dbry. We're flying you in for the Slammys. Not only are we not using you on tv, but we are also giving superstar of the year to someone else. And, he's never had a successful singles push.

    Why?

    You know.

    - WWE

    ReplyDelete
  18. ROMAN REIGNS. BEELEEDAT!

    ReplyDelete
  19. Hell, Vince blew up once and Ric Flair was buried, not like he lost a match, but in dirt.

    ReplyDelete
  20. I'm not sure where you're going with this. Being a pro wrestling fan for years yourself, you can obviously see the difference in an organic, improv'd promo and one written by a TV writer. This seems like a legitimate aggravation.

Either way, the fact that promos are scripted seems like something everyone already knows.

    ReplyDelete
  21. YankeesHoganTripleHFanDecember 9, 2014 at 7:16 AM

Why not just let Bryan be the GM? Fly him in once a week for Raw and he still has plenty of time to rehab.

    ReplyDelete
  22. They flew him in in case he won something. Duh.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Yeah, I heard that criticism yesterday, and I just rolled my eyes. The guy had 4 days to set this up. Maybe he hired a guy to prop it up, to psych Wyatt out. It's really not that big of a thing, and it looked awesome.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Distracts from Roman Reigns too much.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Did you say ROMAN REIGNS?? IS HE HERE???

    ReplyDelete
  26. OMG DANIEL BRYAN IS GETTING BURIED!! amirite??

    ReplyDelete
  27. YankeesHoganTripleHFanDecember 9, 2014 at 7:17 AM

Ohh he was buried the other day too.

    ReplyDelete
  28. was the smoking ambulance before or after RVD showed up?

    ReplyDelete
  29. If he were a true tough guy he would have drove it his damn self. What type of LUNATIC FRINGE hires a driver? Poor character development.

It really isn't a HUGE deal. It looked cool, but the Austin comparison is a HUGE stretch.

    ReplyDelete
  30. It wouldn't be like that at all.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Maybe RVD was driving.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I find it ok, because for those 80's promos, let's face it, 99% of the shows were pre recorded. This is live, with lots of younger guys, so the need to micro manage makes perfect sense to me.

    ReplyDelete
  33. YankeesHoganTripleHFanDecember 9, 2014 at 7:19 AM

    I like Roman Reigns so...ok!

    ReplyDelete
  34. And he did all that with a crushed trachea. That's impressive. I knew I liked Ambrose for a reason.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Oh so you're the guy?

    ReplyDelete
  36. Is it for his main event denim?

    ReplyDelete
  37. No, ROMAN REIGNS is the guy! BELEEDAT!

    ReplyDelete
  38. I just find little bits and pieces here and there that remind me of it. Like he kept losing to Bret, but still kept going at him, lost to Taker in a title match, lost the 10 man tag at Canadian Stampede... But he just kept going at them until he finally ended up on top. I just see the same kind of "chase/build" for Ambrose. Maybe I'm just a hopeless optimistic!

    ReplyDelete
  39. Did they actually announced it as a "crushed trachea"? Or just a throat injury? It doesn't *HAVE* to be a carbon copy of Savage/Steamboat.

    ReplyDelete
  40. I like Shelton, but I don't see where guys like him for into today's WWE. He had a run, didn't turn into a huge star and isn't likely to do so now. I'd like to see him back but given how they only seem to want young guys with potential to become stars they won't allow most of them to be he just doesn't fit.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Yeah, loved him in 2004-2005 (before the 0-18 stretch against Carlito). But his time has WAY passed by now.

    ReplyDelete
  42. "The only thing getting buried on Daniel Bryan is the LICE underneath that disgusting hair, MAGGLE!"

    ReplyDelete
  43. Website said explicitly "crushed trachea". Yes, it HAS to be a carbon copy of what they've already done before. Only BETTER!

    ReplyDelete
  44. They said crushed trachea and mentioned Steamboat several times.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Look up a list of famous black people, pick two, take on name from each.

    ReplyDelete
  46. There are similar athletes like him already on the roster, and 10 years younger at least. No real reason to bring him back.

    ReplyDelete
  47. This ain't fair to Sheldon! SOMEBODY CALL HIS MOMMA!

    ReplyDelete
  48. You just have to see him in real life to appreciate him

    ReplyDelete
  49. His skull was crushed in and he was only out for a month, so for him a crushed trachea should just be a 24 hour thing.

    ReplyDelete
  50. (Cough cough) Where to, Stephanie, I mean, Dean? Cough.

    ReplyDelete
  51. ah cool. In that case, Steamboat is a wuss, and Ambrose is a MAN'S MAN. (even more than Steven Regal!)

    ReplyDelete
  52. I warmed up to him again later in his run. The reunited WGTT had some good matches and he was solid in ECW. But his ceiling seemed to be Midcard champion and how many times can a guy win that?

    ReplyDelete
  53. "With the Rumble being held in Philadephia, the original plan was for some of the ECW original wrestlers to be part of the match to make it a 40 man match but WWE officials decided to nix the idea when they realized what a terrible idea it would be as the crowd would completely hijack Roman's moment and shout "ECW!!!" all night."

    FTFY.

    ReplyDelete
  54. You know, I'd love to see a match between Shelton and Kofi. Those two guys are insane physical specimens known for incredibly athleticism and agility. If given the chance, imagine the kind of spots the two of them could do in a match against each other.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Agree. They do not need 39 year old midcarders returning to help things

    ReplyDelete
  56. Oh, the crowd's gonna hijack Roman's moment anyway...

    ReplyDelete
  57. It's Philly. They're probably gonna do that, either way. And it will be glorious.

    ReplyDelete
  58. I didn't say a single thing about their skin colour.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Yep, I predict they will hijack no matter what, due to the Phily/Pittsburgh overall rivalry. Even if the show is good. Will be like a pride thing for them.

    ReplyDelete
  60. You are a hopeless optimistic and that's cool. Ambrose's ambulance pop was easily biggest of the night. He's got a great theme.

Losing to Bret at first was what really got Aistin over. Losing to Taker set up the chase. The ten man was just a match. Not important in the Austin rise at all. Of course Austin lost it was for Canada.

AMBROSE and Rollins should have elevated them both. What if Austin and Bret at Mania 13 ended in a double DQ and they moved both on to other feuds. That would sort of stall Austins momentum. The guy who turned on him is still walking around. He never got his revenge. To just drop it for a hill billy with a hologram is just insane. I thought he was a LUNATIC. Seth Tollins was a brother who crossed him. He never got revenge. At all.

But he broke Beay's chair and got his tea he's crushed and has his own limo chauffeur so I guess he's the next Austin.

I really like AMBROSE, but it feels like creative doesn't GET the character.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Coming soon to NXT: Oprah Tubman

    ReplyDelete
  62. I was just doing the ol' "Racist" joke we do here. I apologize for it going over your head.

    One love.

    ReplyDelete
  63. One love is how I need to start ending most of my parts. That's even better than Roman Reigns.

    ReplyDelete
  64. A few on here agree with me, we think that the Wyatt thing is just a side feud to stretch things out, and Ambrose/Rollins is not over yet. If it is indeed over, then I will concede that it did not end well. I just think by WM time, they'll be at it again. Ambrose just needs to get Wyatt first, then refocus.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Ah. I guess I don't spend enough time here to see it. Seen the dancing n****ers joke.

    ReplyDelete
  66. What do you have against naggers? #RandyMarsh

    ReplyDelete
  67. *snort, nearly spits out his drink* Well played, sir. Well played.

    ReplyDelete
  68. That's dumb. If I were in a blood feud I would fucking finish that asshole off. Not take all my energy at a hill billy that I don't care about.

Character building aside when Rollins cashes in if AMBROSE comes out to settle unfinished business, that would be awesome. I hope they go that route. Still think this Wyatt thing doesn't do AMBROSE or Wyatt any favors though.

    ReplyDelete
  69. Whoa.. That was a hard N.

    ReplyDelete
  70. "BleatDat" - Rowan. Get it? Cause of the sheep mask and sheep make bleat....well, screw you all! I thought it was amusing

    ReplyDelete
  71. Taker wanted to kill Shawn at HITC, got distracted with Kane for a month or 2, they had a casket match a few months later at the Rumble.

Austin wanted to kill Rock the night after Survivor Series 1998, then got involved in a side feud with Taker for a month or 2, ended up refocusing on Rock at WM 15.

It is a common booking tool really.

    ReplyDelete
  72. "I didn't buy into the hype before, but if that Slammy voting is legit...."

    BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAH!

    ReplyDelete
  73. I thought the Kat was kinda bad looking when she debuted as Jarretts valet but found her hot when she went with the wigs.

    ReplyDelete
  74. I woke up with a little extra kick to my step when I read that Reigns won Superstar of the Year.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Undertaker had undertones of his brother Kane showing up for weeks before he came and cost him a match. Of course he's going to fight his brother who he thought was dead who just cost him a match. Come on.

I hope you're right and it all works out. Fingers crossed.

    ReplyDelete
  76. His success is the reason I get up in the morning.

....otherwise I have to cut myself in order to feel.

    ReplyDelete
  77. BELIEVE DAT

    ReplyDelete
  78. Whenever anyone says they're a BBW they're always only telling you 66.6666667% of the truth

    ReplyDelete
  79. No no no... It's mmaannnnnn... ddinnnnnnn... gggooooooo......

    ReplyDelete
  80. To be fair, Bryan has been injured for most of the year and...wait a minute...

    ReplyDelete
  81. Hopefully they can get Tommy Dreamer!

    ReplyDelete
  82. We just need to BO-LIEVE!!

    ReplyDelete
  83. Extant1979 - Mr. Cable AccessDecember 9, 2014 at 7:44 AM

That annoyed me. I mean, TRY and have believable results, please? What has Reigns done to be Superstar of the Year? Hair of the Year? Sure. Most useless catchphrase of the year? Believe THAT. Otherwise, nothing, nada, zilch, zippo.

    ReplyDelete
  84. Had a great match against Orton and was part of the biggest stable in the last decade. And was over with the non smark fans.

    ReplyDelete
  85. Reigns deserved to be Superstar of the Year. He beat Orton at Summerslam, won matches by DQ vs. Rusev, um....he wrestled Rollins a couple of times, uh...screw you HE MADE IT RAIN ON THAT BITCH!

    ReplyDelete
  86. By the way, AJ won diva of the year. Too bad that she is clearly on her last legs with WWE, and will be gone ANY WEEK now! no ANY DAY!!

    ReplyDelete
  87. Who is a better option?

    ReplyDelete
  88. I bet Metlzer spins it as her going away present.

    ReplyDelete
  89. I love how some are so desperately clinging to the chance that Punk returns, and AJ leaves, when it's quite clear the opposite will remain true.

    ReplyDelete
  90. Rollins, Cena, Lesnar, heck even Bryan had a better year and only wrestled a handful of months.

    ReplyDelete
  91. Taz said in an interview yesterday that he thinks Punk, Vince, and WWE are in cahoots because of the timing of his UFC signing, podcast, and Vince/Austin's podcast. Some people really are that dumb.

    ReplyDelete
  92. I'd put Roman over all of them.

    ReplyDelete
  93. *Remembers you work at a call centre... Forgives the slap*

    ReplyDelete
  94. Even Rollins?! You're nuts!

    ReplyDelete
  95. I can see myself abusing this leeway.

    ReplyDelete
  96. Daniel Bryan beat both Orton/Batista at WM 30, Brock Lesnar beat Taker and won the WWE title from Cena at SS. Cena beat Wyatt, won the WWE title again, his team beat the Authority at SurSer.....there's 3 examples that have done more than Reigns.

    ReplyDelete
  97. Wait, wait.

Someone actually showed restraint when it came to the idea of exhuming the corpse of ECW and making it dance for nickels again?

    Way to bury the lede.

    ReplyDelete
  98. Yep, Roman is the man.

    ReplyDelete
  99. Wow. I figured "Paranoid Android" would be doing MUCH better than it is.

    ReplyDelete
  100. Glad you're drinking to Diesel V2.0 Kool-aid. Someone has to.

    ReplyDelete
  101. But they are building Reigns as a big deal. Isn't this what everyone wanted, for them to focus on making new stars? Or does it not count because it "should" be someone else? At least they're going all in with him. If it fails, it fails.

    ReplyDelete
  102. Charismatic eNegro Jef VinsonDecember 9, 2014 at 7:53 AM

    Brock.

    ReplyDelete
  103. He asked who the better options for "superstar of the year" were, and I was giving the kayfabe options based on performance, title wins, significant moments, etc.

    ReplyDelete
  104. I was saying i want miz now....

    ReplyDelete
  105. He didn't wrestle this year. But his daughter Natalya did ok #OldJoke

    ReplyDelete
  106. His eyes are dreamy.

    ReplyDelete
  107. He's way better than Diesel and is already a more likable dude.

    ReplyDelete
  108. Extant1979 - Mr. Cable AccessDecember 9, 2014 at 7:56 AM

Shit, if they made Team Cena/Team Authority match of the year, with his performance in that, it would have made more sense to make Ziggler Superstar of the Year over Reigns.

    ReplyDelete
  109. Taz is really fucking stupid. I wonder if all those suplexes are fucking him up.

    ReplyDelete
  110. Better? No way. Diesel had some excellent singles matches during his WWF career. Reigns has had like 1.

    ReplyDelete
  111. Hell, he gave up a potential "job for life" in WWE to go to TNA. That says it all!

    ReplyDelete
  112. Diesel never had an excellent singles match if it didn't involve Shawn or Bret. The only other good one I can think of is with Taker and that was well after the Diesel Power Push had ended.
Plus Roman is younger than Diesel at the time of his push. Give it time. He's going to be amazing.

    ReplyDelete
  113. I just don't see it. Hopefully I'll be wrong.

    ReplyDelete
  114. Wait a minute...

5-Knuckle Shuffle is a terrible name for a move.

    ReplyDelete
  115. I hate that whole, "Don't you want them to build new stars?!?!!?" thing. It's really cheap heel heat.

    ReplyDelete
  116. I wish I had the energy to have a meltdown, but I'm at work so I'm not sure what I can pull off in the time I have.

Plus, there's not much to meltdown about.

And I don't take any of you seriously enough to have a meltdown.

But meltdowns are funny, and someone needs to have one already.

I guess what I'm saying is, Roman Reigns is terrible and the SEC is overrated.

    ReplyDelete
  117. I have no problem with them pushing new stars. But I want it to have modicum of organic feeling to it. I can't think of anyone I've seen pushed THIS hard. Even Cena's climb to the top took a few years and he spent a few years in midcard as US champ and such.

There's just nothing organic about Reigns' push. It feels incredibly force fed, like it's blatantly obvious on television what they're doing. Not even Austin's post-KOTR rise to stardom felt this forced.

    ReplyDelete
  118. Eh, I think I'm in the mood for a meltdown myself. Hang on.

    ReplyDelete
  119. After last night, I think it is clear that they are going to give Ziggler the chance to put on a WrestleMania performance of a lifetime. Not saying he is getting the belt but I think he is going to get the opportunity to shine in a major match.

    ReplyDelete
  120. All right, guys. We haven't had a good meltdown in awhile. So I'll give you a meltdown. Ready?

Your favourite wrestler sucks and is overrated. My favourite wrestler is way better and could beat your favourite wrestler in a real life fight any day of the week.

Boom. All the mics have been dropped again.

    ReplyDelete
  121. Don't be silly. You don't have to cut yourself.

    I'll do it.

    ReplyDelete
  122. OH YEAH? WELL MY DAD COULD BEAT YOUR DAD!!

    ReplyDelete
  123. *thinks* Yeah...but even then, did they have him look so blatantly dominant all the time, beating the record for most eliminations, putting him at Superstar of the Year when it doesn't feel warranted?

    ReplyDelete
  124. NO WAY, ASSHOLE! My favorite wrestler is awesome, and YOURS is overrated! Mine is way better and could beat yours in real life any day, you stupid mark!

    ReplyDelete
  125. ??? He lost to Rollins in the first match and got thrown through a table by Harper in the closing segments.

    ReplyDelete
  126. YOUR favourite wrestler wouldn't even make it in TNA! ON SNAP!

    ReplyDelete
  127. Yeah? Well, that's probably true! My dad turned 80 this year! So there! Ha!

    ReplyDelete
  128. Yer mom sucks cock upon request.

    Poorly.

    ReplyDelete
  129. Extant1979 - Mr. Cable AccessDecember 9, 2014 at 8:12 AM

I think the most we can hope for out of Ziggler right now is A) a great Rumble performance and B) a high-profile Mania match.

    ReplyDelete
  130. They made him the legend killer. Then he beat Benoit at SS at like 13 years old after it took Benoit like 65 years to win the title.

    ReplyDelete
  131. He got protected in the loss. So it doesn't mean anything.

    ReplyDelete
  132. Psh! That's a lie!

She charges a nickel, at least. A dime if she takes her teeth out.

    ReplyDelete
  133. Extant1979 - Mr. Cable AccessDecember 9, 2014 at 8:13 AM

He was featured in TWO segments on Raw? That, honestly, says a lot about their opinion of the guy. Why bother bringing him out more than once if they don't want to give him the opportunity to shine?

    ReplyDelete
  134. The whole interaction with Steamboat and the way the announcers played it up tells me he is going to get the chance to shine in his match

    ReplyDelete
  135. I think so to (assuming he shuts the **** up in the mean time). Only thing that could result in a depush is himself right now.

    ReplyDelete
  136. Extant1979 - Mr. Cable AccessDecember 9, 2014 at 8:14 AM

I'm going to have to start Raw on Hulu shortly, hopefully that didn't get cut out (which would be the more telling thing).

    ReplyDelete
  137. I don't think those two things happened in the span of less than a year, though. I think there were some back in the day that were totally okay with Orton being champ at the time. Not over Benoit, mind you, because we all loved Benoit back in the day, but Orton was an okay second choice, I think.

    ReplyDelete
  138. I made no mention of the going rate. I have SOME sense of discretion.

    ReplyDelete
  139. Why does it matter if people think AJ is going to leave?

Like, I couldn't possibly imagine caring any less about something than I care about whether people believe AJ is leaving and whether or not they end up being right or wrong about it.

    ReplyDelete
  140. Extant1979 - Mr. Cable AccessDecember 9, 2014 at 8:16 AM

Oh yeah? I don't HAVE a favorite wrestler! Because every time I start to get high on a guy, the BoD beats me down until I realize that the WWE thinks he sucks and I'm just wasting my time cheering for someone!

    ReplyDelete
  141. When you said "upon request," I thought you implied she did it pro bono.

    Pro....boner?

    ReplyDelete
  142. I like him too. I think they need to be careful with his push and I've been saying for the better part of a year that he is in desperate need of a real feud. Like...an actual feud with even a hint of a logical story.

    But I like him.

There's not a lot of people he can feud with unfortunately. Bryan would have been great, but he's a no go. Big Show would be awful. Mark Henry is broken down. Undertaker is gone. Kane would be tolerable but it wouldn't really help Reigns...Orton, I guess? Luke Harper would be sweet, but he needs a bit more build.

    Ambrose or Rollins maybe?

Cena would be the best, except of course, he'd have to be a heel. Which...I've said he'd be terrible at it, but a heelish smart alex Cena vs. Reigns might actually draw some money. Though for it to be paid off, they would have had to start a while ago. Which they wouldn't do and then follow through, which they also wouldn't do.

    Sigh.

    ReplyDelete
  143. I am just mocking the weekly rumor of it that we've had for the past 50 weeks or so now. AJ is the love of my life, and I am glad she is still on good terms with WWE.

    ReplyDelete
  144. Your FACE doesn't have a favourite wrestler!

    ReplyDelete
  145. Bryan is getting buried!

    ReplyDelete
  150. Nah, we were told two nights ago that he is being punished because of his Twitter account.

    ReplyDelete
  151. A gentleman leaves a tip.

(Ok, this is bordering on ridiculousness, even for me)

    ReplyDelete
  152. It's possible the tweeting is his normal shtick just with permission. His tweets lately DO focus in on whatever product the E is trying to sell.

  154. Well look who just finally woke up. (talking about Ziggler).

  155. Your favorite wrestler can't even shit in a gym bag.

  156. I think AJ is the only Diva that moves any merch, so there's not a lot of reason to shelve her.

  157. I think people turned on Orton when he turned face and started jumping out birthday cakes.

    ReplyDelete
  158. Nah except not like that at all

  159. He'd be a good guy to have around for house shows, Superstars and the Main Event. He's a guy that could work with younger guys and put them over. There's a shortage of veterans who are decent workers that can be "gatekeepers". Guys like Hardcore Holly, Finlay, etc. Reigns would benefit from working with a guy like that.

Well, I mean, yeah. He took giant dumps in the cake!

  161. And good for him (and by proxy, all of us) If that's the case!

  162. TJ: I really wish they kept this scene in the theatrical version of the 1st Lethal Weapon movie.

    Such a badass scene.

  163. Well we've got to be a contrarian for contrarian's sake when we're talking about Vince Jordan.

    ReplyDelete
  164. So i've been dreaming up these "AJ is leaving FOR SURE this time" weekly rumors? Come on, it's fun to mock them.

  165. Not in this PG environment, you won't, mister!

  168. What? So a black man can't be white trash now? Psh. That's racist.

    ....wait, hang on.

  169. You know EXACTLY what you're saying, brother!

  170. YOUR favourite wrestler wouldn't go to Bret's hotel room with tears in their eyes!

  171. Poor Shelton. I remember when that stupid-ass Mama Benjamin shit started, and all I could think was, "Wait. When they were building up his IC title run, they did a bunch of vignettes on his amateur background, including interviews from his actual mother. And she wasn't a blathering Aunt Jemima stereotype. She was actually an articulate, soft-spoken woman."

Such casual. So racism. Many bullshit. Wow. Because black people, amirite?

  172. You answered all of my questions in a courteous and polite manner, Steve!! (south park)

  174. Also, yes, I came to the doge party late. So I'm getting my licks in now. I apologize for nothing.

    ReplyDelete
  175. I think Reigns winning is more of a slight to Ambrose than Bryan, honestly. Bryan has been injured all year whereas Ambrose has been carrying the load as far as making WWE television interesting.

I certainly seemed to turn heel last night at BoD Survivor Series!

    ReplyDelete
  177. What's stupid about how WWE operates is that black people LOVE wrestling. If Vince pushed a talented African-American star like they push someone like Orton (not Cena...God himself doesn't get a push like that) instead of making black folks stereotypical jokes, he would make a ton of money.

    ReplyDelete
  178. Well, Ambrose has been getting his ass beat tirelessly since June.

Seriously, he lost every match in the Rollins feud, and has gotten punked at every turn by both he and Wyatt. Granted, hardly anyone ever notices because of the (admittedly smart) decision to have Ambrose be the babyface who gets his ass beat but keeps getting up with a "That's all you got, bitch?!" A guy with that kind of charisma can afford to lose way more often than a Bryan.

    ReplyDelete
  179. Ambrose sucks right now. Sorry, smarks...but it's true.

    ReplyDelete
  180. It's kind of crazy that we still haven't had an African-American WWE champion yet. I know Rock is half. And Bobby Lashley was being groomed for it. But it just seems like an oversight.

Also, we need a British guy as world champion. No reason. We just do.

    ReplyDelete
  181. At least he won "breakout star of the year" or something like that right? Upcoming star? Anyway, he won something, so that's a good sign for him.

    ReplyDelete
  182. I blame Ahmed. He ruined it for everyone!
