Dolph vs Harper- sluggish start but over time got some wheels **1/2 - Dolph wins
Cesaro, Titus, Tyson, and Hornswaggle vs El Matadors, Sin Cara, and the other midget- some truly nice stuff unfortunately overshadowed by the comedy act **3/4-
The faces win
Adrian Neville vs Tyler Breeze- Good stuff here, seeing Nevilles finish live is pretty cool **3/4 Neville wins
Miz and Mizdow vs New Day- a few nice spots and some creative comedy with the stunt double thing **
New Day wins
Naomi and Emma vs. Sasha and Cameron- Emma is pretty good looking in person 1/2* Emma and Cameron win
Rusev vs Swagger- * 1/2 Rusev crush
Reigns vs Kane with Flair as ref- Long match, I'm guessing they are doing that to get Reigns comfortable having full matches as a solo star. Nice ending with Flair getting involved - *3/4 Reigns wins
Overall an entertaining show

That is truly a terrible card.
ReplyDeleteWasn't this supposed to the show with Cesaro-Ziggler with Flair as a guest referee? If so, that sucks that didn't happen.
ReplyDeleteSucks that they evidently changed Flair from the Ziggler-Cesaro match (which didn't happen - card subject to change!) to Reigns-Kane. As cult says, this card looks god awful.
ReplyDeleteIt's a D level card at best. No wonder business is so bad.
ReplyDeleteThe Cena shows must have him against Rollins and Bray/Ambrose plus the Usos, Bellas, AJ, and uh I cant even remember anyone else.
ReplyDeleteThey still run split house shows? Shocking in a way because they really don't have the star power to pull that off (as this show proves).
ReplyDeleteWho rates matches at house shows?
ReplyDeleteCHRIST that is a bad card. Who would pay money for that?
ReplyDeleteI guess it probably wasn't the best show but it was nice having long match after long match and not having to listen to the announcers made it more tolerable along with the hot emo chick sitting by that looked like Zooey Deschanel that cheered all the heels.
ReplyDeletePeople from the Dakotas
ReplyDeleteThis card looks awful and the review seems like it's from a total mark. That card seems like zero fun. Terrible.
ReplyDeleteYou know, the matches on this card remind me of the crap the WWE used to throw on those Supertapes back in the 1980s/1990s.
ReplyDeleteSort of sad/fitting that Cesaro is wrestling with midgets to close out 2014.
ReplyDeleteI think the A show was in Winnipeg tonight with Ambrose, Bray, and Rollins
ReplyDeleteI really would've liked to see the attendance for this show. WWE has lost their mind if they think Roman Reigns is enough of a draw on his own to pull a big gate versus those 3 other guys (and Cena).
ReplyDeleteIf that was entertaining I would hate to see what a bad show is like.
ReplyDeleteGuys usually try hard at house shows.
ReplyDeleteCould be worse. Main event could've been Big Show-Kane!
ReplyDeleteSurprised El Torito didn't pin him.
ReplyDeleteThat card was just trying hard to keep people awake. Terrible.
ReplyDeleteI wish they would throw them on the Network because there was some hidden gems there. Steiners/Harts whadddup!
ReplyDeleteSo true.
ReplyDeleteEl Torito did get the pin though....sigh
ReplyDeleteI'm surprised El Torito didn't win Comeback of the Year at the Slammy's after recovering from that dastardly amputation of his tail! How the poor thing walked again is a DAMN MIRACLE! A MIRACLE I say!
ReplyDeleteYeah, that's the funny thing. You usually had to wade through an hour or so of crap and then you'd hit a good Bret or HBK match.
ReplyDeleteThe stuff with Cesaro and Sin Cara was really good which made it all the more disappointing
ReplyDeleteKane: Main Eventing House shows still in 2014
ReplyDeleteAlso, the skits could be funny depending on what the theme was.
ReplyDeleteYeah, Heenan carried those tapes more often than not.
ReplyDeleteAlso, how in the hell is working with Kane going to make Reigns a better worker? Not that Kane doesn't know the business, but Reigns needs to be working with better opponents on the house show circuit.
ReplyDeleteBut don't worry. He's not taking spots from anyone.
ReplyDeleteI have some fan cam shows from 1992 and 1993 and the Steiners would bust out some crazy shit they never did on TV.
ReplyDeleteKANE is giving an advanced lesson in being a big boting lug. I hope Reigns was taking notes.
ReplyDeleteI imagine the WWE does not run very often in the Dakotas so when they come through, you probably are excited.
ReplyDeleteThose are pretty fun, but HOW IN THE HELL did people film that stuff? Back then video cameras were not just compact things like today. They used to be pretty damn big. I just can't imagine someone smuggling one through the ticket scanner, but it was pre-9/11 I suppose.
ReplyDeleteOr Big Show vs Reigns.
ReplyDeleteReigns vs KANE is pretty fucking shitty.
Honestly, there were probably about 6,000 people there, but with these considerations: it was in a brand new arena and stuff like this just doesn't come around here too often, both novelty factors, as well as the fact that it's always cold as fuck up here and people will go out for anything...TNA would probably draw well here
ReplyDeleteHey we never come here, better main event with KANE. These fucks don't know any better.
ReplyDeleteI have a bad track record the last 2 WWE shows I went to. One was Cena-Kane in December 2010 and the other was Cena-Big Show in July 2012. No wonder I haven't been to another live event.
ReplyDeleteGood point. Kentucky is sort of that way. It's like going to see the circus since the WWE only comes like 1-2 times a year.
ReplyDeleteReigns should be working with Cesaro every night but POLITICS!
ReplyDeleteThey should run that for kicks on the house shows. Those things don't count anyway.
ReplyDeleteI did when I eas 17.
ReplyDeleteAsshole Dave didn't post it either.
Actually I just wasn't sure if that was the thing to do or not; I don't know what you kids are into these days
ReplyDeleteI have no idea but it was cool hearing the section from where it got filmed go apeshit during the matches

ReplyDeleteThe other house show
Neville & Breeze FTW!
ReplyDeleteEven that show is kinda blah.
ReplyDeleteI haven't been to a WWE live event in over 9 years, but I've been to several at the old Sioux Falls Arena and usually had a good effort from the guys and truthfully we had better cards back then. The first one I went to had the only Triple vs. Brock Lesnar match in 2002 (before his return in 2012), the week after he left for Smackdown, but he competed since he was from South Dakota. Triple H did the clean job to an F5 :) The other two times it was a 'Battle Royal' with Batista and Randy Orton ... and a Benoit/Orton vs. Batista/Triple H match. (or at least I think that was the pairing)
ReplyDeleteThis card however, looks putrid.
I'd love to see the next Wrestlemania Battle Royale with Cesaro and 19 midget wrestlers. Just watching Cesaro toss them from the ring like lawn darts would be awesome and get the WWE some of that mainstream media attention they love.
ReplyDelete*expects a live report of a house show including details for those who did not attend the show*
ReplyDelete*gets a brief results rundown instead*
Krusty:.......What the hell was that?!
The two I remember most vividly are Savage doing poolside host segments from what they purported to be his home & Sean Mooney/Lord Alfred in a shitty Star Trek skit.
ReplyDeleteHes got some tough competition. Namely Ziggler and Ryder a couple years ago.But i im willing to place my money on Cesaro being at the all time worst at being buried. You could have easily built him up after the Andre the Giant battle royal. The crowd wanted it. He apparently had the backing of the wwe if he won the damn thing. Now he is in midget matches. If ziggler can be rehabilitated than so can Cesaro. But man, hes got his work cut out for him.
ReplyDeleteBest match was **3/4, and that was the Torito/Hornswoggle bathroom break match? That sounds horrendous. Are the star ratings out of 3 rather than 5?
ReplyDelete"Nobody cares about the Dakotas!" – Monica Geller
ReplyDeleteEven if they don't want him in the main event, they still could have kept him strong so he can act as a stepping stones for the people they do wants to push. He can put on killer matches and help them get over, but no they have to act like they are embarassed or something that he is on the roster.
ReplyDeleteActually out of 1000. The Dakota's are weird.
ReplyDeletehaving to tag team with Tyson Kidd is even more embarrassing than his yoddler gimmick.
ReplyDeleteNoticed that too. *3/4....normally, that's sub-DIVA level territory. And Flair as ref? They're really trying to win over the older fans, aren't they? Unfortunately, at this point, even if Naitch was his manager, I don't think Reigns is going to be the beloved babyface they want him to be.
ReplyDeleteDrop him down to NXT, and let him go crazy with Zayn/Owens or Itami, Hones, getting him away from the main roster is the best thing for him right now.
ReplyDeleteAt least when they came to Eugene, OR, we got Punk chasing around Miz. That almost sounds like a goddamn PPV quality card compared to this.
ReplyDeleteItami-Cesaro stiffing each other for 12-15 minutes would be great
ReplyDeleteI for one am quite happy this isn't a super smarky boo the faces cheer the heels asked Shane McMahon for out money back type of report. He said he enjoyed himself, and told what happened. Couldn't ask for more.
