Seth Rollins' music

Scott,

Seth Rollins' theme sounds like the musical version of clip art. Did WWE cut back on the budget for entrance music, too?

Howard

Yeah, ever since Jim Johnston moved into the movie division the entrance music has gone to SHIT.  Their in-house ripoff band does a decent job pumping out crap for them to sell on iTunes, but really what was the last memorable theme that they came up with as a company?  Ziggler's maybe?

Comments

  1. I liked Randy Orton's old theme

"Hey! Nothing you can say!" Or however it went

  2. The Real Americans theme is great. It would've attained a much larger status if they gave Cesaro the music and gave him a push.

  3. Sadly, Vince McMahon was all too happy to hand the brass ring over to Cesaro, but Cesaro couldn't man-up and take it desite Vinny offering it to him on a silver platter.

  4. The Shield's music was good; the crowd usually popped for it, but the recycled version they gave Reigns is meh.

  5. Fandango had a great intro. Emma, too. But I'm also probably the only person on here that likes both of them, so your mileage may vary.

  6. Wonder how much it would cost them to license AC/DC for ambrose

  7. real americans, shield, and bray wyatts have all been good.

Dean Ambrose's theme actually fits him very well.

  8. Too bad her exit wasn't quite as smooth.

  9. problem with many themes from 2005-2012 was that they were so generic and could have fit at least 10 different people.

  10. Sami Zayn's is pretty good.

    ReplyDelete
  11. I actually really enjoyed Balor's entire shtick, esp the music.

  12. Cesaro actually had a good theme in 2012. This shit he has now is awful.

  13. Rusev's music is pretty great for his character. I actually think a lot of the newer themes are good.

  14. agree with you about rusev theme

  15. Colby Lopez likes metalcore, metalcore sucks, i.e. Seth Rollins has a shitty theme.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Yeah, Bray's entrance is great. And both Harper's and Rowan's are tight... i can't say I agree with Scott on this one.

  17. Doesn't Jim Johnston still create some themes?

I think themes have improved lately, actually. Some of the CFO$ ones are pretty good. Balor, Generico, Rusev/Lana, Paige, Ambrose, most NXT ones and Brie Mode Wawawawa Fat Dick of course.

  18. Sami's theme is so great. Bayley's has grown on me, as it fits her character well. Swagger, the Vaudevillains' first theme, there are some good ones.

  19. Sami's is so fucking Ultra-Babyface and awesome

  20. Nah, they're going to use "Dogs of War" for the Shield reunion. But only because of the line "Face The Game". So at least we know how Shield 2.0 is going to end.

Seriously, though, "Dirty Deeds" without the vocals would be awesome. It just starts and then it just ends. Would fit for him well.

  21. WWE didn't make Bray's music. Bray found it and got the WWE to buy it.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Shield had a great coming-to-kick-your-ass theme. CFO$ has a couple of great ones in NXT with Sami and Balor

    ReplyDelete
  23. Bayley's music fits her absolutely perfectly. The CFO themes biggest drawback is the repetitiveness because they all just loop over and over and over. Mojo Rawley has a good theme too.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Totally agree with those two. Balor's would fit in on a heavy metal radio station, and Sami Zayn's is tremendously fun. To me it sounds like a knockoff of Mighty Mighty Bosstones' The Rascal King. It's just so different from the generic cock rock that the main roster uses.

  25. Rollins and Ambrose theme suck. They scream jobber, not star. They need to change their theme music ASAP. Music can make or break the character

  26. WWE Music is known as Stephanie Music Publishing.

I never even knew this until now by doing a bit of googling of wwe music.

They need to let guys pick their own music and pay for the songs.

  28. Bayley's old theme was great, but the more recent "Katy Perry"-ish one kind of sucks.

    ReplyDelete
  29. "Brie Mode" is one of the worst WWE themes I've ever heard. It's the musical equivalent to shoving a sharp pencil in my ear.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Dean Ambrose's theme is very similar to Chris Benoit's old WWF theme. I'm surprised more people haven't noticed it.

  31. I was being facetious with Brie Mode. But, it's gone to the so bad it's humorous range for me.

CFO$ is getting better, but they're missing a key component, a second verse.

  34. I've noticed that it sounds very similar to Stone Cold's theme.

  35. Im pretty sure No Holds Barred was a Shane Production...

  36. Yes googled it and it is shane productions

  37. That made ROH so much fun back in the day. I still start chanting "best in the world" if I hear "Final Countdown."

  38. God help me but my favorite entrance theme of like the past 5 years was Three Man Band.

I can actually see Balor entering the ring to that theme in a WrestleMania main event. He should never change it.

  40. The titantron budget has gone to shit too. Everyone used to get unique effects/graphics/footage, now every titantron video is just Microsoft Word default fonts of the wrestler's name, footage of the wrestler entering the ring, and fans. Or in the case of Rusev, stock photos of Russian things.

  41. Even his pre-Real Americans theme, which was just Dean Malenko's old theme with rap lyrics, was better!

No shame, it was a catchy tune for a fun gimmick.
