Sporting News: Arrest warrant issued for Heath Slater

It must be an airtight case if they took three years to approve the warrant.

Comments

  1. If WWE wants to be like the NFL, NHL, and NBA thought they will suspend him without pay immediately before a conviction. It's a slippery slope. On one hand a large business has to understand PR issues, and Ray Rice and Adrian Peterson (along with lesser names and cases) certainly were PR issues. On the other hand athletes and celebrities have a long history of being falsely accused of a variety of offenses

  2. Weird this has taken so long..also weird that surely the WWE had heard about this to some degree during the past three years and that of all the guys they have cut during that time Slater wasn't on that list if they did know anything about this.

  3. The news of the charges being filed were reported in summer 2011. I'm surprised WWE didn't cut ties then.

  4. Nothing to add, except awesome avatar!

  5. Finding him won't be hard. Police just need to look under whichever wrestler is covering him for a three count.

  6. I hear German suplexes end differently in prison

  7. Four years ago, Hacksaw Jim Duggan touched my ass at a WrestleMania party. Can I still sue for that?

    ReplyDelete
  8. Holy shit, this is STILL happening?

    ReplyDelete
  9. Yeah, there is always a possibility this could be a Connor Oberst thing.

  10. From a three man band to a chain gang, and I don't mean Yawn Cena

    ReplyDelete
  11. I'd make a joke, but c'mon... it's Heath Slater.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Normally I'd say job him out and cut him, but what's the difference?

    ReplyDelete
  13. It's your fault for looking up when he yelled "Ho!"

    ReplyDelete
  14. Never mind the belly to back suplex

    ReplyDelete
  15. I bet if it was John Cena, he would beat this.

...because he always wins, is what I'm saying.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Wait....CM Punk finally speaks on a 2 hour podcast....Vince McMahon does a podcast with Austin on the Network....and you spend your Sporting News article talking about Heath Slater's arrest warrant?

    ReplyDelete
  17. Or the Five Knuckle Shuffle.

    How about a piledriver.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Yeah, he should rehash the same stuff that a thousand other people have already talked about!

    ReplyDelete
  20. And poetry readings.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Wow, Titus O'Neill can't catch a break.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I've always said Slater is a talentless hack who gets endless goodwill from. smarks because he's positioned as the kind of comedy heel that usually gets over even though he's never done anything particularly funny or interesting. I had not realized he was also an attempted rapist (and lets be real, that's what this was.) Fire the fucking dirtbag.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Well I guess that makes one less competitor for the Slammy Award of "Getting the Dumbest Shit Possible Over"

    ReplyDelete
  24. Also... too bad CoolTrainerBret isn't here to defend him.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Oh come on, practically everything the guy does is funny. Well, except the attempted rape

    ReplyDelete
  26. TJ: just watched Lucy. By the end my girl was literally yelling "END! FUCK OFF! END!" and I had to resort to mocking it over Facebook to stop myself from just turning the fucking TV off.

One of the most amazingly BAD films I've ever seen. Astonishing stuff. Luc Besson must have some real dirty blackmail material on all of the cast.

  27. Not in his divorce settlement.

    ReplyDelete
  28. That's what separates this generation from the real legends. A guy like say, Snuka would have kept in character. Maybe he's a bad example.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I've actually been really sick for the past couple of weeks and all the Punk/Vince stuff coincided with that. Bad timing, unfortunately. I really did want to go on an epic rant, honest!

    ReplyDelete
  30. Can we get a mini-rant then?

    ReplyDelete
  31. You might get a 1987 Slammys rant tonight, how about that for the moment?

    ReplyDelete
  32. What if he failed the rape because he slipped on a banana peel Santino threw?

    ReplyDelete
  33. I'm not sure about corporate interest and what not but wrestling fans are not the group of people to call for firings over stuff like this. If Ray Rice was a wrestler he'd be a babyface.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I'd say she should have gotten it on camera but apparently that don't mean anything anymore either.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Fuck that guy.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Maybe they had no way of knowing whether these charges had much in the way of credibility to them?

    ReplyDelete
  37. And those tits. Those magnificent man tits.

    ReplyDelete
  38. It could be a tumor.

Well, with the mysterious Wrestlemania payouts still in question, the statement "If you cannot afford an attorney, one will be provided for you" just took on some truth.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Nah. He didn't even put her through a table!

    ReplyDelete
  41. Seems more like a women's prison move.

    ReplyDelete
  42. "Heath Slater" is all the punchline we need.

    ReplyDelete
  43. "An initial warrant was requested in 2013 and denied, which makes it all the stranger that a second one would be approved a year later."

They call that the appellate courts Scott (that or new evidence for their warrent was discovered), or have you learned NOTHING from watching Law & Order? :P

People are suing Cosby for shit that happened when Nixon was president. I say go for it.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Rather have you do an old school Netcop Rant on Punk and Vince and shit. We are long past due for another epic rant.....

    ReplyDelete
  46. You sound like you're kidding but seriously, name one example of something he's done that's been funny.

    ReplyDelete
  47. He's just a funny looking/sounding dude, man. Forget about who he's getting TV time over, he's there to be laughed at, not taken seriously.
