Is this just a random pairing tag team tournament?
Taker/Big Show just for Big Show mostly doing all the work while Taker did commentary. Billy and Chuck for awesome theme song. Mankind and Al Snow for reasons, mostly because I forgot that Edge and Benoit were even a tag team. Heidenreich and Animal because they didn't piss on Animal enough.
*Taker/Big Show in a squash *Billy & Chuck after they weaken the Hurricane and barely neutralize Kane *Chris Benoit & Edge just because Mankind & Snow bicker too much over Head and Socko *Hardcore Holly & Cody Rhodes because Animal & Heidenreich don't work well together.
Heidenreich was the wrong guy to put with Animal. Should have been Charlie Haas. Not only would the matches have been better, but they could have been known as Haas & Animal.
Taker/Big Show
ReplyDeleteBilly and Chuck
Mankind and Al Snow
Holly and Rhodes.
I had Spinal Fusion overtaking Mankind and Snow.
ReplyDeleteMeh, all they have over Mankind and Al is workrate.
ReplyDeleteWow, I really stopped paying attention for a while. I have literally no memory of Holly and Rhodes as champs.

Undertaker / Big Show just has to win based on the amazing "Harley Bikes in the Dessert" promo.
ReplyDeleteThose are some seriously Sunday Night Heat level match ups right there..
ReplyDeleteThe rape innuendo is chilling in that promo.
ReplyDeleteMy votes:
ReplyDelete*Taker/Big Show in a squash

ReplyDeleteTaker/Show
ReplyDeleteHurriKane
Spinal Fusion
Holly/Rhodes
Anyone moving on from group d is a travesty
ReplyDeleteMeanwhile, the Rockers and Steiners meet in round 1, along with Hart Foundation versus D-Generation X (who I assume is Triple H & HBK?)
ReplyDeleteYikes
ReplyDeletethe fuck are we voting for Scott?
ReplyDeleteAnimal Haas (house)
ReplyDeleteIs this for real?
ReplyDeleteHardcore Holly teamed up with Cody Rhodes? I didn't even realize he was in the promotion that long.
ReplyDeleteI don't remember this. Video?
ReplyDeleteRead the last blog entry before this one.
ReplyDeleteAhh. see? That's how they get you. Billy and Chuck held the Tag Titles? Man, the things I missed during my ten year break.
ReplyDeleteBischoff's reveal as the priest for their wedding was one of the greatest swerves ever.
ReplyDeleteAs long as Benoit and Heidenreich make it to the finals and it's not a casket match, I'm okay with it.
ReplyDeletehttp://youtu.be/JkkLo-Us5-4
ReplyDeleteBilly and chuck should move on because of their music and the best wedding swerve in wwe history.
ReplyDeleteDa Fuck is this?
ReplyDeleteI thought having the Police Academy theme stuck in my head all day was weird and then i see this tourney.
Protip - I haven't seen a Police Academy movie this century.
Big Show looked really weird with only trunks and no elbow or knee pads.
ReplyDeleteRosey was literally the S.H.I.T.
ReplyDeleteFor some reason Billy kept getting theme music that were so bad they were good. Ass Man and You Look So Good To Me are ringtone-worthy.
ReplyDeleteOr have Charlie tag with the Berzerker and wonder why he keeps saying his name non-stop.
ReplyDeleteAl Snow and Mankind should be getting more love. That team led to the Rock n Sock connection.
ReplyDeleteWrestlers generally look weird with no elbow or knee pads. Big reason I failed to take Cody seriously for a long time.
ReplyDeleteThere's just four matches to vote for?
ReplyDeleteThey would have added more teams, but what's the point when Hurricane and Rosey are obviously the foregone conclusions to win the thing.
ReplyDeleteThey really were the shit
ReplyDeleteSo far. I can always speed it up as we go along if need be. It's mostly for generating some fun discussion.
ReplyDeleteGroup D sucks
ReplyDeleteOh there's some really shitty matches coming.
ReplyDeleteCouldn't bring myself to vote for either team. It's dry shit vs. soft shit.
ReplyDeleteI'd recommend blocks of 8.
ReplyDeleteI loved the Ass Man theme just because it was so damn ridiculous.
ReplyDeleteMy voting for this will try to be as kayfabe as possible, just trying to think of who would legit win between these teams as if it was a real contest.
ReplyDeleteIs it possible to have an all Kane final 4? Because that's what I'm going for.
ReplyDeleteTaker and Show were the best of these 8 teams. Awesome entrance and music and more memorable matches (okay, like 3) then the others combined.
ReplyDeleteKane and X-Pac were a fun team. That's it.
ReplyDeleteNo, it didn't.
ReplyDeleteSorry Edge, guilt by association. I had to go with Mankind and Al Snow.
ReplyDeleteThey had a great move during their, what 2 weeks as a team, the "Patty Cake Elbow Drop"
ReplyDeleteBrothers of distruction were good
ReplyDeleteAlso we end up with Demolition v. Road Warriors in round one further down. It was literally me putting 128 team names in a random bracket generator.
ReplyDeleteWas rosey umaga? Or the fat one that dissapeared forever?
ReplyDeleteBEELEEDAT!
ReplyDeleteThis must be a huge tournament to have that many random teams in it. I always liked the RVD and Kane combo.
ReplyDeleteI think Scott said it has 128 teams, all of whom have won the WWF/WWE tag team titles.
ReplyDeleteThe unlikely duo of Kane and rvd that is...
ReplyDeleteRosey was the teammate of Umaga in 3 Minute Warning.
ReplyDeleteTeam Burn One
ReplyDeleteThey're just a couple of Demolition wannabes.
ReplyDeleteEvery champion of any tag title in wwe since Hogan-era
