BoD Daily Update

WWE Main Event No Longer on the WWE Network

With the official launch of the WWE Network in Great Britain, the WWE is unable to broadcast Main Event in those countries due to an existing deal with Sky for that series and since the WWE Network is unable to geotag programming for certain regions and block the series in the United Kingdom that they have pulled the show from the Network until they can work something out.

Update on Roman Reigns Promos

According to Wade Keller of PWTorch, Reigns does have a history of rejecting scripts for promos, for those wondering.

Update on The Miz & Damien Mizdow

The plan is for the duo to split up with Mizdow showing embarrassing footage from the cameras that followed around the Miz, who will get pissed and that will lead to the split, with Sandow likely turning babyface. The company has praised both guys over the past few months.

  1. I guess Reigns doesn't want to upset Vince or the writers at this VERY moment, when he has a Rumble win and Mania title win on the cards. If they suddenly decide he's disagreeable and a hothead and pull his super push, he'd probably regret it.

    ReplyDelete
  2. That's what I was thinking. Its one thing to reject a promo from a writer but anther to reject VINCE's promos.

    ReplyDelete
  3. Wait. So Reigns was like, "No thanks. No thanks. No thanks. Oh, this sufferin' succotash one seems alright. Keeper."

  4. WWE Main Event: Surprise, Surprise. WWE botches again.
    Reigns: Um, okay.
    Miz/Mizdow: Countdown on Sandow's drop...
Lashley: Good thing he doesn't have to wrestle for a while.
    NXT: Cool.

  8. As long as they hold off the Miz/Mizdow split until after the obvious comedy spot in the Rumble match.....

    ReplyDelete
  9. If Reigns has been approving the scripts he has been getting I hope the on es he has been rejecting never fall into the hands of terrorists.

    ReplyDelete
  10. That's why Reigns is a main event talent. Austin used to reject stuff but never had a better idea himself. Reigns rejects stuff and DEMANDS a a fairytale

  15. I don't understand, parralax sir.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Seriously. Stop whatever you're doing and go to Netflix and boot up Its Always Sunny right now.

  17. We don't know what the other choices were, to be fair. This could be gold in comparison.

  19. Wii U releases:

-Kirby And The Rainbow Road: Feb. 22
-New Amiibo's next month (Their discontinuing some of the first wave RIGHT AFTER IT CAME OUT has turned me off on the idea.)

    -Splatoon: May

Oh my yes. That episode in particular, Nigh Man, is one of the funniest episodes of anything comedy EVER.

  21. But what if you are dead inside and don't get humor? :-(

  24. "Reigns is all driving a lime green minivanand wearin' a chef's apron. It's super sick. He sees off in the distance some trees and stuff. Then a cardboard cut out of Pauley Shore runs after him, and he dives into a sick pile of puppies or something while reciting the pledge of allegiance. It's all pretty sweet."

  26. sick fucking puppies

  27. Reigns isn't the most talented guy in the world and he hasn't risen above the material or anything (though I'm not sure anyone could rise above the material he gets), but it's amazing how much they've managed to fuck the poor guy up so far.

  30. Theberzerker Von HUSSingtonJanuary 14, 2015 at 7:24 AM

See also: Ambrose, Dean. The company that always relied on mega face champions & antiheros took 3 great talents and only managed to make a good heel out of one of them. It's fucking mind boggling.

  32. You're a master of karate and friendship for everyone!

    ReplyDelete
  33. New Theory: The writing team keeps coming up with worse and worse scripts for Roman Reigns, because he keeps rejecting them. It's their form of nerd rage.

    ReplyDelete

    (Oh woah ohhhhhhhhh!)

    ReplyDelete

-Mario vs Donkey Kong Tipping Stars: Wii U and 3DS release: March 5, download only
-Citizens of Earth: looks like Earthbound, developed by Atlus, coming to Wii U shop soon.

  43. I still say the Mizdow angle should end with a match at WM for the rights to BE The Miz. Then, when Sandow wins, you have a new story where The Miz has to rough it as plain old Mike Mizanin, while Mizdow does an exponentially better job at being The Miz than he did.

    ReplyDelete
  44. "According to Wade Keller of PWTorch, Reigns does have a history of rejecting scripts for promos, for those wondering."

God, I'd hate to see what he has rejected if we've been getting Looney Tunes and Fractured Fairy Tales as promos he doesn't reject.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Theberzerker Von HUSSingtonJanuary 14, 2015 at 7:31 AM

Or you know, lump them all into MEANINGLESS TAG TEAM TURMOIL!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  46. Brilliant. It's like when Harlem Heat feuded over the letter "T", except actually clever.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Maybe he has a history of rejecting scripts from the writer monkeys but doesn't really feel comfortable saying no to something Vince wrote for him. I know that sometimes Vince respects guys who stand up to him but he also seems very mercurial and could easily get pissed if some fairly new guy rejects something he personally wrote.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Hrmm. Could it be that Reigns WANTS the John Cena Babyface character? I have no idea what he's like in real life. The only thing I know about him is that he seems to be a devoted father.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Great job everybody, well done.

    ReplyDelete
  50. The thing about Ambrose is that he's talented and experienced enough to "re-heat" later (even if that shouldn't need to be an option in the first place). Reigns needs more protection.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Maybe the only reason Vince is writing stuff is because Reigns rejected everything creative came up with. Be careful what you wish for, Charlie!

    ReplyDelete
  52. It WAS a great job!

    ReplyDelete
  53. Mizdow is in the ring at the Rumble, Miz gets tossed, Sandow tosses himself, Sandow complains that Miz got him tossed, is holding him back, boom instant WM feud.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Based on his out-of-character interviews, he seems like the type of guy who'd prefer the "edgy alternative to Cena" babyface a la Orton or Punk.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Theberzerker Von HUSSingtonJanuary 14, 2015 at 7:33 AM

Either way, it shows that when the pressure and spotlight is on him, in the ring or out of it, if it's not one of his memorized signature spots, he flounders around and doesn't know how to flesh things out.

    ReplyDelete
  56. I'm thinking that much like a woman in a James Bond movie, he just didn't refuse hard enough.

    ReplyDelete
  57. The only amiibo I want is the damn Shulk character, but I don't feel like dropping 75 bucks on a thirteen dollar toy which will have NO resale value because I actually want to use the thing.

    ReplyDelete
  58. There really are, like, a million different directions they could take this breakup feud that are better than whatever they're planning to do right now.

    ReplyDelete
  59. I could see them discontinuing low-sellers, but announcing that characters are discontinued BEFORE any sales numbers come out? No bueno.

    ReplyDelete
  60. I am STOKED for Xenoblade. And I didn't even play the first one. But Shulk is my guy in Smash Bros. I would love to play Mother 3. Hope they release the trilogy.

    ReplyDelete
  61. If I was Sandow that'd be the moment I refused to follow Miz's lead and he refuses to toss himself out. Miz gets mad. Sandow wins Rumble, dethrones Brock at Mania.

    ReplyDelete
  62. He has probably given up at this point and is just accepting what they give him.

    ReplyDelete
  63. I don't know about that. Whatever criticisms one might have of his matches, he's never looked lost. He's never had a "Goldberg versus Regal" type of moment.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Hump day! Got a Microsft certification test this morning and then I'm picking up a 6 pack of High Life and a triple cheeseburger at McDonalds and getting shitty to celebrate. LETS GET LIFTED!!!

    ReplyDelete
  65. My sources say the plan right now is for a dance off at the Weestlemania Pre Show.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Lulz, but maybe Miz gets so mad that his stunt double didn't self eliminate that he purposely gets Mizdow eliminated?

    ReplyDelete
  67. Finally finished Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag, and ultimately, I ended up doing a complete 180 on the ship-to-ship combat and fleet management simulator. I got pretty deep into it and really enjoyed it.

Story was decent too, although the sooner they recognize that nobody gives a soaring shit about the present day storyline, the better off we'll all be.

    ReplyDelete
  68. I accept this. I got carried away with my fantasy booking towards the end there.

    ReplyDelete
  69. I really want to see those scripts Reigns is rejecting. Then I imagine someone like Aaron Sorkin writing his promos and wonder how he would do with that.

    ReplyDelete
  70. With Brodus Clay's Mamas?

    ReplyDelete
  71. It's probably some Attack of the Clones-level shit.

    ReplyDelete
  72. Theberzerker Von HUSSingtonJanuary 14, 2015 at 7:41 AM

Not THAT bad, no, but not enough to keep the crowd engaged and be the top guy. The silence during his matches tells you that.

  73. New Nintendo 3DS: February 13

Good: Head tracking for the 3D effect
Bad: No AC Adapter (you can use older AC adapters, back to the DSi era, but if this is your first DS you'll have to buy a new one seperately

    More 3DS games:
-Code Name:Steam : Missed the release date, it looks like a Valkyria Chronicles style strategy/shooter hybrid.
Xenoblade Chronicles, N3DS version: April 2015
    Ironfall: "soon"
Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate: Feb 13, bundle available at Gamestop only

    ReplyDelete
  74. It would've been a much better game as a standalone title away from the AssCreed crutches. Especially without the present day shit.

    ReplyDelete
  75. I'm watching Goldberg vs Regal right now. It's awful.

    ReplyDelete
  76. Never played SMG2, might have to check it out.

  77. Update on Roman Reigns Promos

  80. I could see it as Vince's personal revenge.

"Keep rejecting scripts, will you? Fine! I'll write them myself! Say no or I'll make you IC champion!"

    ReplyDelete
  81. And to finish:

Legend of Zelda, Majora's Mask 3D: N3DS release on Feb. 13
    Also, a Zelda-themed N3DS will be available.

In relation, there is a Majora's Mask DLC for Hyrule Warriors coming out soon.

  83. RE: Main Event

And nothing of value was lost.

    ReplyDelete
  84. That's what I've heard too: Pirating is AWESOME, the actual "game" is meh.

    ReplyDelete
  85. Everyone i've asked has said the same, play it for the Navy Simulation if nothing else.

    ReplyDelete
  86. Watching the Meng-Big Show match from Nitro. Show gives a pretty interesting look to the tron and camera after the match. It's a very different match that the crowd is eating up.

    ReplyDelete
  87. Hey, Main Event occasionally has a good match. And it's only an hour.

    ReplyDelete
  88. Lol, all the superstars and divas on the roster who need promotion, and who gets the fitness videos? HHH and Steph.

    ReplyDelete
  89. I'd rather get workout tips from a guy like HHH than from the full-time vanilla midgets on the roster!

    ReplyDelete
  90. EVERYTHING pirate related is awesome. Ship battles especially. But it's when the Assassin stuff is shoehorned in that it feels out of place.

Plus, there are some really stupid missions. Like, you know how there are some AssCreed missions where you need to silently follow someone? They do that...but with your ship.

Honestly, I say as someone who beat it, despite its flaws, it's still worth at least playing through once.

    ReplyDelete
  91. I keep getting ads for those too. Money well spent WWE!

I partly think they think they can do better than DDP with his yoga.

    ReplyDelete
  92. AndyPG is now relegated to Superstars.

    ReplyDelete
  93. "Make sure, when injecting your steroids, that you find the right vein. Aim for the bluest, most bulging one."

    ReplyDelete
  94. Not that the world needs more Cena, but he's the better physique for a fitness video. And Jesus H Christ, STEPH? Put the Bella twins or Paige or Aj on a friggin workout video.

    ReplyDelete
  95. I have seen some YouTube clips and Triple H looks really awkward for the whole video. Not comfortable explaining stuff to the camera at all.

    ReplyDelete
  96. No I mean he carries petty grudges when someone doesn't fit his mold. And if you want to talk about who does and doesn't move ratings, I could bring up his buddy Randy Orton who actually DROPPED ratings during his run on top, but was none-the-less shoved down our throats for years. Or golden boy Roman Reigns. Admittedly he's probably more of McMahon's pet project but the crowd is already turning on him and it's only going to get worse. Oh and Punk seems plenty respectful to people who show him some.

    ReplyDelete
  97. Nobody moves ratings anymore.

    ReplyDelete
  98. I wouldn't call it chills, but the last time wrestling 'raised my eyebrows' was when Bruno went into the hall of fame and the Bret Shawn bury the hatchet promo. There is now literally nothing else that could happen that would draw my attention enough to watch or, heavens to betsy, pay them money.

    ReplyDelete
  99. What's sad is when you think of all the guys that Savage could have put over. Imagine ubber heel Savage having a run with the belt and being the guy to put Shawn over at mania.

Obviously I'm not saying to make Savage a lifetime main eventer, but if I'm Savage I'm saying "Look, I've shown this loyalty while others haven't. Give me a run on top and the guy I put over will be shot up into the next hemisphere".

I know what you mean. Even if CM Punk was to make some shocking return to the Rumble and win it all to set up Brock-Punk II, I can't say it would make me watch again or anything

    ReplyDelete
  101. Fat, Ugly Inner-City SweathogJanuary 15, 2015 at 5:08 PM

The traction thing would have been tremendous. Rude visiting Liz in the hospital, in full Lurker mode!

I would also have loved to see that scenario with Rude vs. Dusty. It seemed the perfect contrast of characters in 1990. Rude antagonizing Dusty for being fat, but Dusty being the ultimate blue-collar representative of the 'rasslin fans'. Rude hitting the Awakening on Sapphire would have been EPIC.

    ReplyDelete
  102. By all accounts HHH and Orton hate each other off-screen, so I can guarantee you HHH isn't the one pushing Orton.

    ReplyDelete
