Hope that they move Summerslam to somewhere in between NYC and Cleveland. Say, Baltimore.
ReplyDeleteFor the morning crowd: I start a new data entry job on Tuesday. NOT a call center. :-)
ReplyDeleteQuit with the TNA bullshit Bully Ray. Or at least go back for one quick stint as the Dudleys.
ReplyDeleteThat was a fast turnaround.
ReplyDeleteBaltimore?! Have you seen The Wire?!
ReplyDeleteI'm boys with Marlo. I'm good.
ReplyDeleteThere were rumours that backstage people in the WWE thought Bully was an arsehole but they would've taken Devon back because everyone liked him.
ReplyDeleteYay! Nice work Hoss!
ReplyDeleteGod, the relief you'll feel from not being on the phone all day. I was SO happy to start the job after my call centre job.
ReplyDeleteNXT was great. Well worth your time.
ReplyDeleteThere were also rumours that Bully never took a shower at the arena because guys kept on making fun of his bitch tits.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I was almost giddy.
ReplyDeleteYep. Got lucky.
ReplyDeleteWhy are Cesaro and Kidd bothering? It's not like any of the higher ups are even paying attention their tag team, never mind any extra work training.
ReplyDeleteCongrats!
ReplyDeleteWhat should they do then? Just languish and be lazy and job to bunnies and Fandango?!
ReplyDeleteBecause they may notice that they aren't moping and bitching and are running with what they are given. May pay off and beats being lazy and a complainer.
ReplyDeleteOh good, more Bully Ray.
ReplyDeleteThey love pro wrestling, I guess. MARKS!
ReplyDeleteThe arena chosen for SS being demolished kinda feels like a delicious metaphor for where this company is.
ReplyDeleteThank you. :-)
ReplyDeleteHaven't you heard?! He's lost a ton of weight! And he's amazing on promos! He's an ECW original!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm good with it. Man did a good job reinventing himself and I enjoy his work now.
ReplyDelete*Points to the calves*
ReplyDeleteI picture the arena watching Raw and choosing to demolish itself before Summerslam. Like Russell Crowe's tugboat.
ReplyDeleteSo Hogan was actually Lanny's idea? That's...interesting. Maybe it's not the ratings ploy Scott thinks it is.
ReplyDeleteI think my response would be something like, "well then. Why don't you come suck on my bitch tits?"
ReplyDeleteThey also wanted the Silverdome for Wrestlemania 23.
ReplyDeleteDemolition would be more dignified than what happened to that place.
Yeah, kind of a head scratcher.
ReplyDeleteHogan is a great idea. The Hulkster has always been a humble guy who puts other over, and never tries to hog the spotlight for himself.
ReplyDeleteI would have chosen George Steele.
ReplyDeleteI would have chosen The Mountie!
ReplyDeleteLanny could also just be saying that per WWE's wishes and/or to impress them.
ReplyDeleteLike destroying a building will stop cena. RISE ABOVE DEMOLITION
ReplyDeleteWhat if it was a guy like HHH and Taker leading the teasing and they could torpedo the anemic push Bully Ray was getting?
ReplyDelete1. This reminds me of what I heard on KFAN out of Minneapolis, the new Viking's stadium manager was recently hired from the WWE. He use to be in charge of event bookings and venues. Maybe this change will force WWE to come up with a creative, out of the box solution. But I'm not holding my breath.
ReplyDeleteBill Eadie gets the last laugh.
ReplyDeleteThe manner in which he put TNA firmly on the wrestling map is the stuff of legend.
ReplyDeleteI love how he would go on the media circuit and never once mention he was working for TNA.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure he once plugged a PPV main event by saying that Jeff Hardy would be facing "some guy"
ReplyDeleteI'm happy Cesaro & Kidd (which does have a ring to it, I must admit) are doing what they can, they make a good team actually. Still, fuck you Vince for completely ruining Cesaro's breakthrough year, all because YOU don't get it, you senile piece of shit.
ReplyDeleteHope it all works out for you man.
ReplyDeleteHe also once did an interview and said he was going to the WWE Hall Of Fame ceremony to induct "some announcer" (Mean Gene).
ReplyDeleteThanks man. I appreciate it. It's hard to find an outlook to post the story to without it getting deleted. I posted it to Reddit so hopefully they keep it up.
ReplyDeleteGood luck buddy. It is going to be tough sledding, but keep taking hacks.
ReplyDeleteColumbus is a couple hours from me, I just might go to that show!
ReplyDeleteWell, Some Guy did discover Bonerland in 1942, so I think he would have been able to put up a good fight against Jeff.
ReplyDeleteThe guy picked Big Show up body-slam style, walked him over to the ropes and dumped him out. You can't make a fucking star out of an all-time Wrestlemania moment?!
ReplyDeleteI'm not saying their attitude is not to be admired, but how many double team moves can you fit in a three minute match?
ReplyDeleteThanks. I'm trying man lol
ReplyDeleteAs many as it takes, I guess!
ReplyDeleteJust call the police (non emergency of course) and ask them. Ripping someone off like that is bad enough, but worse when the mail is involved.
ReplyDeleteNot if Vince can't imagine him as THE MARINE. Vince is the epitome of modern day carny folk. He never shook the trailer off his ass at all.
ReplyDeleteKidd and Caesaro should have a run in nxt. Over two tv tapings, have them beat the luchadores for the tag team titles, and then lose them to balor and itami. And have awesome matches in the interim!
ReplyDeleteI want you to beat that guy just because I hate his punchable, Milhouse-esque face.
ReplyDeleteNot sure I could stop myself. Except for Taker. He's one of the few people I've seen in person whom I genuinely found to be intimidating.
ReplyDeleteBalor/Kidd on last nights show was a pretty kick-ass match
ReplyDeleteIf it is not here or I don't have a tracking number by tomorrow at noon, I am notifying his local police department. I'll send them the copy and pasted post I made on Reddit as well as I will call them.
ReplyDeleteDidn't you hear? No one understands the common man like Vince does. He said so in that Steve Austin podcast!
ReplyDeleteHopefully you've scared him a bit and he relents. Good move posting this in detail everywhere you can...keep going.
ReplyDeleteDude! That sucks! Do you have an Amazon wish list? Maybe a few of us could buy you gift cards and they could help towards a new PS4?
ReplyDeleteFucking Greenwich snobs!!

Aye, he sounds like a total dick and obviously a fraud. This “roommate”
ReplyDeleteif he was a real person would clearly understand your concern about being
ripped off and being suspicious and wouldn’t play that awful “Poor me stuck in
the middle” card. Bah. Hope it all works out. You’re lucky you do have so much
personal information on him (didn’t he have a Facebook link in his profile as
well?) so hopefully something can be done.
Might e-mail it to the local news around his town as well. They might have some "investigative journalist" that could look into it. I know here they have some guys on the news that do this kind of stuff.
ReplyDeleteThat's actually some really good advice by Mike. Mail fraud is serious business. You should also let your Post Master know and see if he/she can do anything.
ReplyDeleteThe worst part is : they book it, it work and somehow they decide to forget all about it, smh.
ReplyDeleteI don't wanna be a dick, and I hope it works out. But, learn the lesson here sir.
ReplyDeleteYeah he has a Facebook link, but I clicked it and nothing pops up. It is http://www.facebook.com/jamio88
ReplyDeleteLast night I saw a guy who was 6'11" tall. I told him that if he was a wrestler he could be 7'9" easy. He didn't understand and I think he thought I was drunk
ReplyDeleteYup. Anything and everything man, expose him however you can.
ReplyDeleteHmm. I get a full profile popping up, but the privacy settings are set up so you can't comment on anything. Shame that.
ReplyDeleteAs a native of Jersey, I can tell you that the IZod Center was a dump, but you have to admit, that place does hold a lot of good wrestling memories
ReplyDeleteCesaro & Kidd sounds like they should have a cowboy gimmick
ReplyDeleteEarly contender for comment of the day.
ReplyDeleteNice! He has until tomorrow or I'm sending the full thing that link and calling them up! Thanks guys!
ReplyDeleteAnyone else see the Oscar moms? I'm hoping Birdman and Grand Budapest win big. I don't understand Ralph Fienes not being nominated for Grand Budapest, though. I'm not surprised by Selma's director getting snubbed...that movie was only good because of the acting. I have a bad feeling Theory of Everything or Boyhood is winning all the awards, though.
ReplyDeleteBoyhood is gonna clean up. Theory of Everything, probably not.
ReplyDeleteIf I Stay Wins or I riot.
ReplyDeleteif you had to pick would your rather be five feet tall, or seven?
ReplyDeleteI don't have Facebook so that might be why I get nothing on my end.
ReplyDeleteAnd the last image of him leaving, is Dixie on the flour begging him to stay.
ReplyDeleteI've not seen Boyhood yet. I keep hearing people either love it or hate it. I'm going to try seeing it this weekend.
ReplyDeleteMake sure you've blocked off a good chunk out of your schedule. It's a long one.
ReplyDeleteAh okay. It gives the ability to send messages to people,
ReplyDeletebut for a non-friend they’d go into his “Other” folder which he may not check.
Boyhood is awesome. No bad feelings there. Theory of Everything is good, but a total whitewash.
ReplyDeleteI am thrilled to see how well Whiplash did.
ReplyDeleteYeah...that's the big surprise for me. I would not be upset with it getting some Oscar love.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure he'd love to do just that, but I'm also pretty sure that WWE isn't offering.
ReplyDeleteThe one thing in their favor is that the Rumble is coming up, and Vince likes surprises.
Night, you're a fan, too? I'm definitely watching it, then.
ReplyDeleteI just went to wikipedia and if turn out the last best picture winner I saw in a theater was Forrest Gump
ReplyDeleteJK is a lock, but to see it get stuff for film editing is awesome
ReplyDeleteSurprised Oyelowo didn't get a nom. I thought he and Keaton would duke it out for Best Actor.
ReplyDeleteNo best animated nomination for The Lego Movie?! Fuck that shit.
I wonder why Rosamund Pike doesn't get enough praise for her Gone Girl performance.
Go see Big Hero Six instead.
ReplyDeleteBoyhood is great. My favourite film of last year, not that I saw that many.
ReplyDeleteI'm actually NOT a fan of the movie. I think it was good...but I dunno...the latter half just didn't resonate with me.
ReplyDeleteBest Actor has been Keaton v. Redmayne for months
ReplyDeleteI know we disagreed on Seth Rogen's comedic acting, but you seem like a little reason who gives movies a lot of consideration, so a good word from you is worth seeing a movie.
ReplyDeleteThank you, I appreciate that.
ReplyDeleteI saw Big Hero 6 twice. Great stuff!
ReplyDeleteAgreed. But knowing how political the Oscars have been, I thought Oyelowo would have been a bigger contender.
ReplyDeleteGood to hear, my friend
ReplyDeleteI thought he'd at least get a nom due to how good he was and, as you said, how political the Oscars are.
ReplyDeleteThey just closed your thread on GBA. What jerks! I wouldn't bother with that place again.
ReplyDeleteHow come when I click "new" on Reddit under the Gaming thing,my thread doesn't pop up? The shortlink still works so I know it hasn't been deleted.
ReplyDeleteHmm. Probably 5, if I'm being practical. Easier to buy clothes and exist in the world. But, the Hoss in me says "7 feet?? FUCK YEAH!!"
ReplyDelete#HOSSZILLA
Birdman would be my pick for best picture.
ReplyDeleteI miss Cesaro's "Miracle" theme.
ReplyDeleteI'm in the love it camp. We got it from red box over the weekend. Watched it in two sittings (it's 2 hours 45 minutes) but I really enjoyed it.
ReplyDeleteIs it me or is this year's crop of Best Pictures not especially strong? I feel like it's similar to Slumdog Millionaire's year and most of these movies will be forgotten.
ReplyDeleteI didn't really think about the editing for it. I'm going to have to watch it again. I have an editor friend who points a lot of stuff out. I'll see if she wants to watch it with me.
ReplyDeleteMe too! I loved that movie!
ReplyDeleteYeah I saw that. No outlet seems to want to help. Maybe Reddit is my best choice so far. I will be e-mailing the post master for mail fraud tomorrow if I get no confirmation numbers. Maybe he can get arrested or something out of this.
ReplyDeleteIt's still so funny to me, as someone who watched the reality show version of NXT up to the never-ending version with Conor from the Ascension, to hear people express their love for that show. Complete, necessary overhaul. We did at least get D-Bry, BNB and AJ from the old version.
ReplyDeleteI think I'd hate being short worse. I'm 6'4" now, so I'm already used to being taller than most people. I'd hate getting the attention that a seven foot tall guy would would get, but it would be the lesser (and greater) of two evils
ReplyDeleteWere you?
ReplyDeleteno, I don't like being drunk.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't say it's that bad. The Slumdog Millionaire year was dire. I really, really liked Birdman and Grand Budapest. I'd be ok with those two being nominated any year, but I'm also a fanboy when it comes to Keaton and Wes Anderson. The Imitation Game was better than it had any reason to be, too. But yeah...best picture stuff? Hmm....if I remove my bias, I'm still a huge fan of Birdman, but other than that it kinda was a down year.
ReplyDeleteThey shot the movie in 18 days which is absurd. I asked a director about that on facebook (Wayne Kramer who did The Cooler) and he explained to me that involves and yea, it's nut.
ReplyDeleteGood for Kidd and Cesaro. They just need to make sure they practice promo skills while they're down there.
ReplyDeleteI'm at the other end of the spectrum (5'5"). Flying is more comfortable which is nice, but there are so few funny short jokes.
ReplyDeleteThe Cooler! That was a good movie! It was really well done. 18 days for Whiplash??? Wow...now I'm even more impressed by it.
ReplyDeleteI've seen 3 Oscar nominated films.
ReplyDeleteGuardians Of The Galaxy
Captain America : The Winter Soldier
X-Men : Days Of Future Past
I need to watch more movies i suppose.
You need to take a breath, man. I know you're angry and frustrated and you have a right to be, but over-analyzing and freaking out isn't going to help.
ReplyDeleteTake a walk, clear your head and try to work this out in a less emotional way.
I have to run out soon, but I'll come back and post my thoughts on the categories.
ReplyDeleteNot quite my tempo. It's all good, no worries.
Possibly a little diversity might help
ReplyDeleteThat's what I've heard from the "hate it" camp. I'll still check it out.
ReplyDeleteHave they even given Kidd a real promo since he's become an asshole brat character? I think he would be pretty funny.
ReplyDeleteThis is what he said:
ReplyDeleteI directed The Cooler in 21 days and it's an insane high wire act dependent completely on how good your actors and crew are. You can be assured that Chazelle was super prepared and knew what he wanted for every setup... and had a great team behind him. He must have consolidated locations to avoid company moves (which eat up your days) and prelit his major sets because lighting takes a huge amount of time, assuming you want your film (and actors) to look good. That's what you do to just make your days, but to end up with the exceptional coverage that he gets in the film, he really has to know his shit and it shows. Huge props to his director of photography as well. There are some pretty complicated shots in there and they probably had zero time to pull them off. And, man, JJ Simmons had to have his dialogue down because that kind of constant verbal assault takes a lot of memorizing. They did a great job in editing as well. He also had the extra challenge of filming live music which has to be every bit as challenging as shooting gambling, especially craps where the entire table has to be reset with the right continuity after every take. With budgets getting more and more squeezed and filmmakers getting less and less shooting days, it becomes a near miracle that Chazelle can pull something like this off.
Hope wrestling fans in Ohio turn out for NXT to sell that arena out. Sadly, I have a feeling that if it doesn't, Vince will use that as "proof" that real wrestling booking (as opposed to sportz entertainment) doesn't sell.
ReplyDeleteBergman,Kurosawa,Fellini,Billy Wilder,David Lean,....they're all good.
ReplyDeleteWow! Nice! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteIf we get a new Midnight Express out of the deal, I'm happy.
ReplyDeleteI do too. He's really the main beneficiary of NXT and Total Divas so far.
ReplyDeleteYeah I'm headed to the gym in about 10.
ReplyDeleteSeems like 80% of nominated films come out in the years final quarter and none of them scream big screen 13 dollar ticket to me i suppose.
ReplyDeleteThere's lots of good films but more of the kind that i enjoy watching at home i guess.
All fun movies, to be sure, but I recommend at least watching Grand Budapest. It's funny and every scene looks interesting, plus you get to sound like a film snob afterwards.
ReplyDeleteI don't want that It's not anyone else's responsibility but mine.
ReplyDeleteApparently JK was the nicest guy when the camera wasn't rolling. I understand it's all pretend, but that stuff just blows my mind
ReplyDeleteMSG, Barclays, and Nassau Coliseum all are open for August 23 if WWE wants to keep SummerSlam in the NYC area.
ReplyDeleteCannot stand Wes Anderson post Rushmore. You'd have to tie me up Clockwork Orange style.
ReplyDelete
