Comments

  1. Rumble 08, starting Edge/Mysterio

    ReplyDelete
  2. Can i suggest to the PTBN guys that you don't necessarily need to embed the video for every song in the tournament because it causes lag when you load the page.

    ReplyDelete
  3. can't wait for Nash to show up and cut a promo on his son...

    ReplyDelete
  4. Hogan. Nash & Hall together, could be a nWo reunion

    ReplyDelete
  5. Jimmy Hart available? You don't say. I kid, love Jimmy.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Get Shawn there, do nWo and DX all night, Daniel Bryan gets two minutes, ratings explosion.

    ReplyDelete
  7. I'll give it to TNA for their superior women's wrestling. Now if they hold this focus. ..

    ReplyDelete
  8. Then have Brock Lesnar come out and kill them all. Except Bryan.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Watching the 2013 NFC Championship. Love how the Seahawks and 49ers went to war on the field.

    ReplyDelete
  10. New focus for TNA Knockouts = Gail Kim as champion... right? I'm the last guy to quote history for TNA's women division, but I'd swear every time they've wanted to push them as being more serious, it's involved them making Gail Kim the focus. Not a criticism, just an observation.

    ReplyDelete
  11. I was reading some old threads while I was waiting for this one to go up and I found something very odd.

  12. DX: HHH/Outlaws VS nWo (Hogan/Nash/Hall)
    That's a hell of a main event.

    ReplyDelete
  13. LOL....what the hell

    ReplyDelete
  14. Vickie looks really pudgy at this point.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Five movies left until I'm done with 2014.

    ReplyDelete
  16. I found one of his comments once. I don't really see the point of it,but it's a funny concept .

    ReplyDelete
  17. I assume it's Danimal but i still don't see why it's worth the effort.

    ReplyDelete
  18. It does seem very very Danimal doesn't it.

  19. Crikey Mate Down Under AussieJanuary 17, 2015 at 12:10 PM

Got a job teaching English in Japan :)

    ReplyDelete
  20. anyone watch the NJPW show on AXS last night?

    ReplyDelete
  21. Good to see the voting changing for the PTBN to something more like I suggested a few months back!

    ReplyDelete
  22. Fun! I have a friend doing the same thing down there, I think he's been down there four years or so now, loves it. Congrats.

    ReplyDelete
  23. So I was just driving in my car listening to paul heyman talk about BROCK LESNAR and what so I see, a brand new jimmy johns opening up today.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Really weak ending that made both guys look bad.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Just read an article about a high school girls basketball coach who got suspended because his team beat another 161-2. He says he benched his starters at the half, told the girls to milk the shot clock. My question is why don't the officials call that game at the half? That can't gave been fun to watch--not even for fans of the winning team. I'd have been furious if I had a daughter on either team.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I'm curious why they even had the game; don't they place teams based on ability level?

    ReplyDelete
  27. Cracked had a good article about american teachers teaching in asia

    ReplyDelete
  28. The Ghost Of Meekin's MoobsJanuary 17, 2015 at 12:16 PM

Why can't we have different legends for a change? Tito Santana, the Mountie, Haku and the Berzerker? It's always the same fucking guys.

    ReplyDelete
  29. She's the john Cena of TNA,

    ReplyDelete
  30. Could someone make a gif of that Roman Reigns promo where he forgets his line

    ReplyDelete
  31. Yeah that was weird, those two had such good chemistry back in 2002 or so, that match was pretty meh.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Tell me if I am misunderstanding this. They were winning legit, then the coach decided to substitute his best players for second stringers and they then played defensively and for possession for the second half?

Isn't that just considered tactics in any other sport?

    ReplyDelete
  33. I like having them right there.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Yeah, like fifteen years ago.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Greg Anthony busted for soliciting a prostitute

    http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/12183582/former-nba-player-cbs-analyst-greg-anthony-arrested-washington-dc

    ReplyDelete
  36. I miss backstage vignettes with guys I care about and are actually funny.

    ReplyDelete
  37. I agree; what about a too cool reunion or nation of domination reunion

    ReplyDelete
  38. Prostitution is the biggest "why is this really a crime" for me

    ReplyDelete
  39. Haha, Shawn giving the t-shirt to Naitch and telling him to "cover up" was a highlight for sure

    ReplyDelete
  40. They might be afraid Haku would just decide he was going to be the champ.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Yeah, I've gotten a few notifications from him responding to my old posts.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Didn't Scotty pull out the Worm at the last one?

    ReplyDelete
  43. Kiss Cam dying a slow death, I can't believe how long they ran with the kiss cam gimmick for. The only funny one was when they ended up on Patterson/Brisco.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Yeah, I always thought if you substituted the word "killing" for "soliciting" then you would have a crime. Otherwise it's just a guy looking for a good time and a girl looking to make some money.

    ReplyDelete
  45. I don't know, I do always love seeing a girl getting completely embarrassed just by being seen with her boyfriend hahaha.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Not in Texas of course, but you're right.

    ReplyDelete
  47. I agree, If it was legalised/regulated then the people involved are then protected and have rights, so you cut down on the abuse & human trafficking in one fell swoop.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Someone made a comment on another thread about how only smarky douchebag fans cheer for heels, which I guess means 99 percent of the people who cheered for Stone Cold, The Rock, Shawn Michaels and DX were all smarks.

    ReplyDelete
  49. But Adam, that would give a lot of power to the women involved, and you know we can't have that in our society.

    ReplyDelete
  50. We're stuck having to pretend we have a child's morality because half the nation still believes in children's fairy tales.

    ReplyDelete
  51. That's the angle I think needs to be looked at more. Also, we could really cut down on disease if it was regulated.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Their system is broken somewhere.

I went to a high school that had a really good girls basketball program. They went to the state tourney a bunch of times. Even against the worst teams we'd play, the blowout was maybe 30 points. I never saw a mismatch that bad. Some schools sometimes just can't field a competitive team, and when that happens you gotta pull them from the system.

    ReplyDelete
  53. I guess I was a smarky douchebag when I was 9 and rooting for heels like Razor, Shawn, and Diesel.

    ReplyDelete
  54. the crowd are actually cheering for Hepatitis, that's pretty funny.

    ReplyDelete
  55. I was almost always a heel guy even as a little kid. Mr Perfect!

    ReplyDelete
  56. Between Flair and Savage I guess I was a douche at 6.

    Which seems probably anyway.

    ReplyDelete
  57. How's the food at jimmy johns?

    ReplyDelete
  58. Yeah I don't understand what's happening at all, the girls talked, the crowd chanted for hepatitis, Santino talked, now a fat white guy is dancing in a speedo.

    I don't even know.

    ReplyDelete
  59. It's more due to the fact that as soon as a man states he is in favour of legalising prostitution the assumption is that he uses them himself. So it's very hard for any politicians to speak out about it.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Oh!! 19-0....haha how did that end up working out?

    ReplyDelete
  61. The debut of Adamie! I forgot about this

    ReplyDelete
  62. For fast food, it's great.

    ReplyDelete
  63. From what I could glean he did what he could to lower his team's offensive output, but he was still accused of running up the score, so they suspended him. That baffles me. Why is the heat not on the opposing coach for not forfeiting, or the officials for calling the game?

    ReplyDelete
  64. He was out earlier being very uncomfortable.

    ReplyDelete
  65. You shouldn't have done that because all you did was reward his ego. You should've been rooting for Jim Duggan or the Red Rooster.

    ReplyDelete
  66. I've always favoured heels ever since I started watching at 11. I may have been a douche back then but I certainly wasn't smarky.

    ReplyDelete
  67. I miss that site that had links for all of Scott's rants in one place. It was super clutch.

    ReplyDelete
  68. the bread to meat ratio is disappointing

    ReplyDelete
  69. If Jeff wasn't such a fuck up he could have been a long term maineventer for WWE, he had everything you needed to be a top talent and he was only a couple steps off the top of the mountain when he screwed it all.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Network edited out the Jeff Harvey line

    ReplyDelete
  71. The Toyota dealership won't let Haku off on Mondays.

    ReplyDelete
  72. http://www.cbsnews.com/news/girls-high-school-hoops-coach-suspended-after-teams-161-2-win/

    ReplyDelete
  73. Not bad but pretty much the worst of the sub sandwich chains

    ReplyDelete
  74. Those bastards. That line was awesome.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Better than subway, not as good as cousins.

    ReplyDelete
  76. I assumed it was still around. These days if you google "scott keith" and the name of the show it comes up easily enough so I don't need the archive.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Extreme guilty pleasure for me, the guy just always had "it"

He was never going to be in GOAT contendership or anything obviously but you're right, he could've been THE MAN of the 00's, he always had the kind of natural fan support that Cena would kill for.

    ReplyDelete
  78. a year from now they'll have their own reality show where they live in the same house

    ReplyDelete
  79. Is that where that line was supposed to have happened?! I was listening intently haha, damn that sucks.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Adam "Colorado" CurryJanuary 17, 2015 at 12:33 PM

Whoever said that can blow me.

    ReplyDelete
  81. His promo's always blew ass too unfortunately, he had a lot going against him but it never seemed to matter.

    ReplyDelete
  82. there used to be a quiznos here, but it went out of business. I guess this town wasn't ready for a free pickle bar

    ReplyDelete
  83. I always hated the guy from the tag team to the tna days. He just seemed like a glorified spot monkey

    ReplyDelete
  84. Adam "Colorado" CurryJanuary 17, 2015 at 12:35 PM

Makes no sense that it's illegal to sell something but legal to give it away for free.

    ReplyDelete
  85. Ridiculous. Regular fans have rooted for heels for years. All the way back to Gorgeous George 60 years ago.

    ReplyDelete
  86. Watching Clash 6. This Super Dome crowd is so depressing.

    ReplyDelete
  87. Or if you filmed it, it's also legal

    ReplyDelete
  88. Jeff Hardy
    Bobby Lashley
    CM Punk
    Ken Anderson
    Kurt Angle

5 guys who is the last few years the WWE pushed to the top and were either top names or about to be when they fucked up their careers and pissed it all away.
For every Edge or Daniel Bryan who takes the ball and runs with it, there's a guy who screws it up themselves.

    ReplyDelete
  89. "hey kid, I got your hometown... RIGHT HERE!" (crotch chop)

    ReplyDelete
  90. Haven't seen the show in a while but I think it was when he was introducing the video package before Orton/Hardy. I remember I checked it out in the first few weeks of having the Network and the botch was gone.

    ReplyDelete
  91. MikeyMike, JuggernautJanuary 17, 2015 at 12:37 PM

Same. That was a great time killer.

    ReplyDelete
  92. Punk didn't screw up; he got the ball and ran with it

    ReplyDelete
  93. How did CM Punk screw up?

    ReplyDelete
  94. MikeyMike, JuggernautJanuary 17, 2015 at 12:38 PM

Punk just left. He had a hell of a run. A

    ReplyDelete
  95. Anderson and Lashley were never top guys. Punk and Angle were top guys for a long time, so I wouldn't say they "pissed it all away".

    ReplyDelete
  96. Hardy never made that turn of the corner for me like Shawn or Bret did coming out of their respective tag teams.

    ReplyDelete
  97. It's always a toss up dealing with professional athletes, terrible attitudes (like Punk) and drug problems (like Angle and Jeff) seem to be part of an attrition rate in the business that's impossible to avoid.

    ReplyDelete
  98. MikeyMike, JuggernautJanuary 17, 2015 at 12:40 PM

I can't think of too many other guys that the fans loved as much as Jeff.

    ReplyDelete
  99. That's why I said "about to be" Anderson & Lashley were about to reach the top.

    ReplyDelete
  100. DVRedit but haven't had a chance to watch yet

    ReplyDelete
  101. His shitty attitude over two contracts probably contributed more to his problems than he'll ever realize.

I'm sure he's happy but he could have had a lot more I bet.

    ReplyDelete
  102. Adam "Colorado" CurryJanuary 17, 2015 at 12:41 PM

The heat should be on whoever scheduled such a lopsided matchup.

    ReplyDelete
  103. Well it's now pg, so I don't think he can pull out the worm again

    ReplyDelete
  104. Adam "Colorado" CurryJanuary 17, 2015 at 12:43 PM

I'm kind of shocked that the conservative fuckwads haven't got the porn industry shut down by calling it prostitution.

    ReplyDelete
  105. He walked out of the WWE during a main event storyline which was leading to him beating HHH at WM. Now he hasn't wrestled for a year and is training for a UFC career because he's burnt all his bridges in the wrestling industry worth anything.

    ReplyDelete
  106. That I'd have to disagree with, the E is not nearly stupid enough to tell Punk to fuck off if he wanted to come back.

    ReplyDelete
  107. MikeyMike, JuggernautJanuary 17, 2015 at 12:44 PM

The Quebeccers in early 98. Wtf?

    ReplyDelete
  108. That's not accurate at all.

    ReplyDelete
  109. Would you put the belt on a guy who could walk out on you without giving notice at any time? Would you build Wrestlemania around him?

    ReplyDelete
  110. Free Advice – Never hire a cleaning lady with rotten teeth.

    ReplyDelete
  111. Heavens no, not yet anyway. But if he wanted to come back tomorrow and wrestle Hunter? That shit's happening.

    ReplyDelete
  112. Adam "Colorado" CurryJanuary 17, 2015 at 12:48 PM

And unlike those other guys WWE would take Punk back in a heartbeat.

    ReplyDelete
  113. And he'll be used as a bit player, HOWEVER he'll never be "the guy" because of his attitude and lack of trust.
Compare and contrast to Daniel Bryan

    ReplyDelete
  114. Agreed. If you field a team that can only score 2 points in a game, you gotta pull them from the schedule that year, focus on building for the next year. There's a point where mere athleticism & competition becomes stupidity & stubbornness.

    ReplyDelete
  115. But he has no intention of coming back. He wasn't in the actual main event. The doctors were useless, his health and happiness were worse than ever. He almost DIED from a staph infection. He had already been on top for a while.
Walking out was the right choice, in my opinion.

    ReplyDelete
  116. Fair enough, there is that, I don't think he'd get the super push he'd want but they'd definitely pay him AND put him over Hunter if he ever wanted to do that match.

People at the Network would cream over being able to promote Punk's first live appearance on the service.

    ReplyDelete
  117. That's one reason they don't want to push anyone because they are afraid they would either leave or get fired.

    ReplyDelete
  118. I think that lead to Too Cool showing up at NXT for a fun match too.

    ReplyDelete
  119. I still bet we see another Jeff run before he's done. Too much money in a nostalgia tour.

    ReplyDelete
  120. They had a cup of coffee. I only remember them at one of the PPVs in some tag gimiick match. I was disappointed in how short they were around.

    ReplyDelete
  121. I was on the blowing the other team out side of it a few times as a coach for soccer. It's hard to control the kids at a certain point. One time I pulled two players (9 on 11) and put out there the most screwed up lineup I could (goalie had never played goalie, all my offensive players were on defense and the center forward didn't have any gross motor skills at all) and we still were scoring goals.

Another time, no one would stay back on defense because they couldn't dribble. So, my team was camped in front of their goal. The other coach and a father were yelling at me as I was trying to figure out how to slow down my team. That ticked me off.

I've been blown out before too. I told my players to play as hard as they can. They did. That made me proud. I didn't care that we lost 7-1; I liked what I saw in effort and they were tougher for it.

The coach really has only so much control over the players. In this case, the coach probably could have realized how bad the mismatch was and put in the scrubs sooner, but that's easy to see in retrospect.

    ReplyDelete
  122. Put on Superbowl XLII. Is it really the Wrestlemania 17 of Superbowls?

    ReplyDelete
  123. Whichever one was Steelers/Cardinals.

    ReplyDelete
  124. Crikey Mate Down Under AussieJanuary 17, 2015 at 12:52 PM

Thank you for that highly disturbing, and hilarious, read.

    ReplyDelete
  125. MikeyMike, JuggernautJanuary 17, 2015 at 12:53 PM

I'm watching No Way Out 98 and they're wrestling the Godwinns. Both teams are heel and this match blows.

    ReplyDelete
  126. Anyone know if there's an archive for the old nWWWo? I'm trying to find a piece I wrote and they seem to gave slipped down the memory hole. All my backups from that era are on 3.5" floppies so yeah they're gone.

    ReplyDelete
  127. I found a few articles about this, here's one: http://www.sescoops.com/mike-adamle-talks-about-his-brain-damage-rob-zombie-tweets/

    ReplyDelete
  128. From what I remember reading the WON, I think it was a worked shoot.

    ReplyDelete
  129. The entire WM2 was one big house show so Bundy worked fine

    ReplyDelete
  130. I thought Bundy was a fine choice too since he was booked to look like a killer at WM1.

    ReplyDelete
  131. Much as we love Funk (for good reason), he was not a good fit for what Vince was doing at the time, at least insofar as being a top guy. It was best that Terry went away and continued his legend.

    ReplyDelete
  132. Savage beat him TWICE by countout in consecutive MSG carsd, which was unprecedented for Hogan or any other World champ. He even kept some heat in the lumberjack blowoff match, losing after George Steele interference. Great series.

    ReplyDelete
  133. Makes laying down for Bret just seem that much bigger. What's mind blowing is how they never sold it that way when they did the complete opposite for Hogan and Andre.

    ReplyDelete
  134. This Nikita/Wrestlemania 2 rumor is bullshit. Scott was the first person who I ever saw mention it, and that was more in the "Vince should have done that" vein. Now Scott states it like it is confirmed fact that Vince was desperately trying to do it.

Here's an interview with Nikita where he talks about it. He says the only time he considered WWE was when Barry Darsow was trying to get him to jump and be part of Demolition.
    http://www.wrestlinginc.com/wi/news/2013/0402/561665/nikita-koloff-talks-almost-signing-with-wwe/index-2.shtml

    ReplyDelete
  135. um no. Give me 80s vince over god awful 90s vince any day.

    ReplyDelete
  136. Thanks man, wasn't aware of this but I knew he played football.

    ReplyDelete
  137. Usually to protect themselves and their spot. But yeah, Blassie had nothing to lose with Piper being there.

    ReplyDelete
  138. Not necessarily in terms of performance...in terms of increased broadcasting acumen.

    ReplyDelete
  139. He wasn't a guy that I looked at as a guy that should headline the big show. He was just your average fat guy of the week to me

    ReplyDelete
  140. Wrestlemania 2 was actually three mediocre house shows.

    ReplyDelete
  141. Pretty much, yeah,

    ReplyDelete
  142. Same thing could be said for Austin/McMahon.

    ReplyDelete
  143. YankeesHoganTripleHFanJanuary 17, 2015 at 2:59 PM

Just for fun if you had to pick three stadiums to hold a single Wrestlemania in which 3 do you go with?

    ReplyDelete
  144. Enjoy this one too:

    http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x1xqcmc_randy-savage-bret-hart-vs-ric-flair-shawn-michaels_sport

    ReplyDelete
  145. If you think there had to be another plan just because another plan made more sense, then you give Vince more credit than I do. This is a guy who, when asked what his backup plan for WM3 would be if it were too sunny for most of the crowd to see, said "it will be cloudy." And recent booking would indicate that his plans do not make more sense as he ages.

    ReplyDelete
  146. Funk was just another version of the raging hillbilly hick that Vince always seemed to have a couple of.

    ReplyDelete
  147. I'm just stealing that from Dragon Gate, I'm not a huge fan of the promotion but the "everybody is in a stable" thing is super cool.

    ReplyDelete
  148. Well the theory is that the faces have their own stable too and the stable is portrayed as being capable and competent.

People really dug Wyatts vs. Shield right? And the idea of nWo vs. Horseman was really popular too. So the theory is that you have these faction which allow not only for the wrestler the idea of conflict and competition with every other wrestler, but also the stables competition with other stables and the wrestlers competition with other stablemates.

The hope is that it will create more complex and evolved conflict which will lead to more interesting and creative feuds.

    ReplyDelete
  149. I do like a good pun.

    ReplyDelete
  150. Yep. He gets shit for being a 'bad worker', but the dude was amazing at intensity and body mannerisms.

    ReplyDelete
  151. Gotta disagree. Beat Down Clan is....ok... but The Family has been used in some form or another a couple billion times and it just sounds really non specific.

    ReplyDelete
  152. Very surprised to hear that, actually. Considering how much the Hogan-Piper rivalry gets credited for kickstarting the whole mid-80's boom.

    ReplyDelete
  153. At the time, Bundamania was running wild.

    ReplyDelete
  154. Cobo Arena, Joe Louis Arena, Ford Field.

    Detroit fans are always great.

    ReplyDelete
  155. The match wasn't bad. Hogan kicked his ass for the most part but they made him look more vulnerable in the build up by giving him a rib injury from the attack. Plus Bundy was built up as a monster and had that 5 count gimmick. This was the first Wrestlemania I saw as a kid so WM 2 has a soft spot for me even though the production values were terrible and most of the matches were poor even for 80s standards.

    ReplyDelete
  156. While Hogan had the staying power, I would argue Cyndi Lauper and Wendi Richter deserve equal credit for the initial boom in popularity.

    ReplyDelete
  157. I thought it was Albano

    ReplyDelete
  158. Piper was a massive draw and basically got the "Big Event" MTV show/lauper feud over by himself.

    ReplyDelete
  159. So why doesn't Piper get ripped on for refusing to do jobs? The Clique are assholes but Piper's just being smart?

    ReplyDelete
  160. nope according to piper it was Blassie

    ReplyDelete
  161. I thought I remembered Lou from Piper's book - but Blasse sounds right.

    ReplyDelete
  162. Piper's an asshole too. Just like the Clique. Happy?

    ReplyDelete
  163. But Shawn was an asshole. He'll be the first to tell you.

    ReplyDelete
  164. i enjoyed that way too much

    ReplyDelete
  165. He refused to job to Hulk Hogan. That's like CM Punk refusing to job to HHH. It's one thing to refuse to do jobs, but refusing to job to one of the most powerful guys in the business takes balls and we admire him for his big, stupid balls.

    ReplyDelete
  166. It's not like Piper hurt Hogan's career or anything.

    ReplyDelete
  167. Guys, Steve Austin was NOT a great IC champ. Hell, he wasn't even a good one.

  168. Yeah, Wrestlemania II looked like a dog. Wrestlemania 1 was at least well lit, portions of WM2 just look murky, especially in Chicago.

  169. Well...I don't know about that. I'm not saying that Goldberg wasn't a one trick pony and that the crowd wouldn't have gotten tired of his act on top at some point. But that wasn't happening in December 1998, and matchups with opponents like Sting, heel Bret, and Flair going after not only the belt but The Streak would definitely have drawn big PPV buys at the time.

  170. Skydome, The Spectrum in Philadelphia and MSG.

  171. It was still supposed to be the biggest card of the year. It was a disaster.

  172. Excluding Rockabilly

  173. He was a hell of Steve Austin, though.

  174. No worries, I remember reading about this years after the fact and thinking it made even "Jess Harvey" much less funny.

    ReplyDelete
  175. I wouldn't say disaster. Just not big-time. Orndorff was Hogan's biggest feud that year and the one everyone remembers. WM2 was more about the Bulldogs than anything else

  176. I know right? I mean the whole reason I started with that comment with "I hate to be that guy" was I kind of assumed he'd be annoyed if I wasn't as polite as I could be.

    ReplyDelete
  177. Oh yeah. Looking back I guess they really wanted to take the belt off Rocky as he was tanking, and add another championship to the hot Hart Foundation angle. And it worked!

  178. It's been on some PodcastOne broadcasts, and also a few documentaries...most recently, the Network Rivalries series with Hulk Hogan.

Apparently, Piper had his whole gimmick together, with bagpipes and all...and Blassie filled the pipes with toilet paper. You can imagine the scene as Piper is walking in trying to play....and this is his first night in the WWF. So Piper took the whole thing really hard.

    Here you go, brother.

  179. Definitely. I wanted him to do well. Then he spoke.

  180. I still love Susan St. James and her "uh-oh"

    ReplyDelete
  181. I think Piper was just as much as a delusional ass in his day as the clique were in theirs, FWIW.

  182. I wish they could do a old school show in a outdoor stadium without the trons or at least the fancy stages and stuff. Just a old school event, with interviews done on the arena steps and John Cena coming out of a helicopter.

  183. NExt week can we have a Knockouts Fatal Four Way Tag match with Brooke-Taryn/Beautiful People/Sweet Scientists/Cyclists with Phil Keoghan as guest ref?

    ReplyDelete
  184. On the first big Hogan DVD set, his match with Funk is the only one you can enjoy as a no build wrestling match from the 80's, everything else is flat unless you followed the product then.

    ReplyDelete
  185. No. I'm here for Microwave Cookery. No, wait.

    Coping with senility.

  186. The crazy thing is, Joe vs Angle did the best PPV buy they've ever done easily and all they did was hype these two guys training for a month and just put it as two bad asses and we'd have to buy the PPV to see who wins. So simple to do, yet TNA have seemingly done everything in their power to do the opposite of that.

It's hardly a surprise TNA comes across as WWE-Lite when all the guys they have backstage and in creative are ex-WWE guys who couldn't cut it in the big leagues though.

    ReplyDelete
  187. And then didn't he immediately turn heel?

    ReplyDelete
  188. Hell, if Nash didn't squash Wrath in the middle of his "mini-streak" then they could have likely put a Wrath Vs Goldberg match on. Probably could have gotten a decent power match between the two of them going.

  189. sub Hershey for Philly, now thats #oldschool
