Happy frigging New Year!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year Sir!
ReplyDeleteRemember last year at this time when you had just over 1500 comments?
ReplyDeleteWatching NXT. Does WWE's switchboard operator have ADHD? The
ReplyDeleteconstant camera cuts during the beatdown after the tag match were
ridiculous. Thanks, Mr. Dunn.
"There's a girl that's been on my miiiiiiiind
ReplyDeleteALL the tiiiime
Su-su-sudiooo!"
That should be the name of a new TNA PPV
ReplyDeleteAnybody else planning on watching Wrestle Kingdom 9? I haven't watched much NJPW but I'm kind of hyped for this show. So happy to have english commentary.
ReplyDeleteLOOK WHAT OREGON FOUND!
ReplyDeleteWhere in the BLUE HELL have you been?
ReplyDeleteClose to 15000 comments in a year.
ReplyDeleteI think Full Sail students do much of that work. I hope they're not learning that in classes.
ReplyDeleteJust wait until the comedy courses
ReplyDeleteAgreed. Dig deeper into the late 80's/early 90's for some insane kayfabe nonsense. Good times. :)
ReplyDeleteKane is always called a "Seven Foot Monster", while The Big Show used to be billed as 7'2". Taker is usually always 6'10" from what I remember. Big Vis was 6'8" or 6'10"- it may have varied with his degree of push.
ReplyDeleteI actually regret the fact that I used to just read those a my friend's house, or in the store without buying them. I would love to look at some of those old mags now.
ReplyDeleteNice article idea. I re-read old Video Game Magazines all the time- it's absurdly fascinating reading about all these predictions that never panned out, or talking about things that we now know to be VaporWare (Nintendo/Sony CD System, 3DO M2, etc.). Or just what was thought of games now considered classics, or awful- the now-shitty graphics of "Tomb Raider" scoring 10/10, or "Toshinden" being considered vastly superior to every other fighting game on the market.
ReplyDeleteI remember one of the first ones, containing a bit about Mikey Whipwreck kicking himself after losing to Kidman, having forgotten the note he'd written to himself earlier: "Do not try to Powerbomb Kidman".
ReplyDeleteGreat idea and great job. Looking forward to more.
