IC Tourney Round Two: Groups AK-AN

I think I might have to restrict voting for the remaining rounds.  Mountie fans should have their vote revoked since Canadian contests are not valid in Quebec.

Comments

  1. I'm glad I stopped voting after the first round.

    ReplyDelete
  2. Are you shitting me?! Ken Shamrock got 3415 votes to Shawn's 373?

    ReplyDelete
  3. The Mountie is a CONTROVERSIAL Intercontinental Champion!

Everybody has an opinion on this guy!

    ReplyDelete
  4. How did that happen?

    ReplyDelete
  5. Hmm. Judging how close the total vote counts are for Mountie-Flair and Shamrock-Shawn (3888 and 3788)...well, I'm not complaining bc I love the Mountie.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Well, Jeff Hardy vs. Pat Patterson is certainly a dream matchup*

    *for Pat Patterson

    what a joke

    ReplyDelete
  8. There's some really messed up voting going on here. It's getting a bit out of hand, actually.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Now, I'm loathe to ask this because I think it might mean my favorite won't pull it off - but isn't there a way to restrict voting via IP?

    ReplyDelete
  10. I would accept Ken beating Shawn if the vote totals were similar to the other matches, but this just makes it not fun.

    ReplyDelete
  11. There is, I've just been letting people vote on the honor system. That may have to change.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Actually it was typo and Shawn got 1373 votes, but still, completely ridiculous.

    ReplyDelete
  13. I'm curious on the logistics of the spamming now.

I spammed for The Mountie and got maybe 50-60 votes out. Definitely not enough to turn the tide. How does one go about manufacturing 3200 votes? That would require 38 people in unison to do that (assuming the 1200 Bret hit as a baseline for a winner). Now Mountie Mania is a thing so I could understand that being the vote leader. But it's not. Who the fuck would manufacture 3800 votes for Shamrock?

    ReplyDelete
  14. HERE'S HOPING FOR MOUNTIE VS. MARTY JANNETTY IN THE FINALS!

This tournament is already TRASH but the winners here are easy. Tito, Jericho, Razor, Patterson

  16. CruelConnectionNumber2January 12, 2015 at 7:39 PM

    You're a retard for voting for a 2 day champion 60 times.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Goldust
Rhodes (can't jusitfy voting for a guy who coheld with a woman)
    Razor
    Patterson

    MOUNTIEMANIA!

"Make the votes 1 per IP" -- me 50 times during every round. You're gonna lose ad clicks when people don't give a shit about "LOLZ Mountie vs some other funny vote, LOL!"

    ReplyDelete
  19. I pumped Mountie a bunch of times the first day, but yesterday I just voted for him once.

    ReplyDelete
  20. as much as I like Edge, IC lvl Edge can't hang with the Bad Guy

    ReplyDelete
  21. CruelConnectionNumber2January 12, 2015 at 7:42 PM

Jericho defended the title successfully at WWE's grandest PPV ever. He won it multiple times during the company's hottest period ever. Cody Rhodes was a guy.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Jericho was in a feud with Chyna, and he's been rubbing me the wrong way lately.

    ReplyDelete
  23. I voted Tito not only based on his status as a notable former champion, but also but based on the fat that he was always a solid challenger for the IC title throughout his tenure in WWF.

    ReplyDelete
  24. They were really trying to go somewhere with Cody but couldn't help but bury him with 50/50 booking and the Big Slow.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Yeah, the remaining rounds will be. The Shawn Michaels elimination is ridiculous.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Almost as messed up as writing biased match descriptions and changing the rules mid-poll!

    ReplyDelete
  27. Hate to say it, but I agree with CruelConnectionNumber2 here. You should have voted for him a minimum of 100 times, anything less is wasting your vote

    ReplyDelete
  28. Because anonymous web proxies are not a thing!

    ReplyDelete
  29. Can't let saggy manboob Viagra lovin Flair win.

And that's not a nice word.

    ReplyDelete
  30. checking the results.
    the mountie should've been dq'd.
shamrock beats IC lvl legend killer orton and then IC lvl "beat the big guy with 3 superkicks/ladder match" hbk? interesting.
regal sucked as IC champ. regal sucked in wwe unless he was up against benoit or finlay. still a great tv character.
how does valentine not fall victim to a small package after going for the figure 4?

    ReplyDelete
  31. I think Cody is great. He's taken every single thing that's been given to him and owned it.

    ReplyDelete
  32. HBK gets squashed and the Mountie won't lay down for anybody...

    ReplyDelete
  33. I agree, he would be WCW Champion right now. Think about that.

    ReplyDelete
  34. What's the problem with spamming?

Or rather, what's the problem with someone that really wants someone to win have some extra clout if they are willing to work for it?

I think that an actual competition is a lot more fun than a simple poll.

    ReplyDelete
  35. No one is forcing you to vote in this poll.

    ReplyDelete
  36. No one is forcing you to have this poll.

    ReplyDelete
  37. the HBK spammers lost their smiles.

    ReplyDelete
  38. just confirms: To be the Man, you gotta get your man. And the Mountie always gets his man!

    ReplyDelete
  39. hey, it made for a hell of a story at Over the Edge 1998.

it's going to make the Mountie's underdog victory even more awesome.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Patterson enjoys men. Hardy really isn't his cup of tea.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Someone REALLY hates Shawn then. Is Cucch back?

    ReplyDelete
  42. Yeah! It's not a championship so you can't call him a champion!!

    ReplyDelete
  43. Yeah it's not a championship so you can't call him a...HEYWAITAMINUTE!!!!

  44. Adam "Colorado" CurryJanuary 12, 2015 at 8:13 PM

Time to just scrap this whole thing.

    ReplyDelete
  45. mountie vs bret hart i love it! we know who wins

    ReplyDelete
  46. When Razor held the IC belt, it felt almost as important as the Heavyweight belt. Sometime more important, such as Summerslam 1995.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Advice to Jeff: DON'T hang the rainbow rag from your pants for this match.

    ReplyDelete
  48. So Mountie won?

    ReplyDelete
  49. Well in that case I forbid you to vote for the Mountie from now on.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Looks like we've just discovered one of the people who voted for Big E Langston

    ReplyDelete
  51. totally offtopic/random, but I came across this today.

    http://i.imgur.com/y7H46xa.png

Randy Savage's old baseball card. Apparently that's where he started dropping the elbow.

    ReplyDelete
  52. It's the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, sir.

    ReplyDelete
  53. I think the Mountie love ends with Bret Hart.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Don't blame me. I spammed for Pedro.

    ReplyDelete
  55. I don't know about that - unlike many of the other matchups in this tournament, this one actually happened. So we kind of know who will win...;)

    ReplyDelete
  56. Spamming allows one person to speak for the entire group. Like I said earlier, I'd have no problem with Shamrock beating Shawn, but only if it was legitimate.

Honestly, I wouldn't mind if the Mountie won if that was "the will of the blog", because at least I know it was fair.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Only Bret Hart would think he's above the law.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Shamrock beating hbk really takes some of the fun of this out of it for me. It was obviously someone spamming and what's the point of everyone voting if someone will bend it to their whims? HBK is a final four candidate. I honestly think that match should be overturned.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Just want to say this is coming from someone who doesn't even like hbk.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Shamrock never dropped the title because of a lost smile. ON SNAP.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Scott, you should consider doing a revote in the hbk/Shamrock match with IP address restrictions on.

    ReplyDelete
  62. I really wanted to see who the blog would vote for between Michaels and Perfect.

    ReplyDelete
  63. I think it was discovered long ago that that's photoshopped.

    ReplyDelete
  64. True, plus I loved every time he suplexed the refs.

    ReplyDelete
  65. but spamming for mountie was not fair to flair

    ReplyDelete
  66. No, spamming allows one person to enter a lot of votes, which is something that anyone else could also do.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Could you reverse it?

    ReplyDelete
  68. Dirty Communist, wanting fair allocation of votes. In America we WORK to ensure a person can vote as many times as he or she wants.

    ReplyDelete
  69. It's my blog, I can do whatever I want.

    ReplyDelete
  70. If Putin was running this...

    ReplyDelete
  71. Please do it then; a dusty finish in the tourney would be glorious. I didn't mean to challenge your authority or whatnot, just didn't know how the poll site worked.. . . .

    ReplyDelete
  72. Or perhaps we should have a poll to determine whether we should do a revote ;)

    ReplyDelete
  73. oy. shows how much I know.

    ReplyDelete
  74. You know what's funny, if you look at the poll results thus far and imagine that the spamming is actually Bret Hart sitting at his computer manipulating the vote, almost every victor in this tournament thus far makes total sense. (with HHH and Ultimate Warrior getting set up to be destroyed in the second round by Bret faves)

    ReplyDelete
  75. so in the next round, Bret will finally get his revenge for that flu-affected loss to Mountie.

That explains why Mountie made it past Morales and Flair.

    ReplyDelete
  76. HBK lost his smile. Shamrock just lost his temper. Easy decision to pick a favorite.

    ReplyDelete
  77. "The officer paused, turned away, wiped a tear from the corner of his eye... then told me he had to arrest me."

    ReplyDelete
  78. I demand a recount on hbk shamrock!

    ReplyDelete
  79. "While putting on the handcuffs, he told me that this was the greatest arrest he had ever made."

    ReplyDelete
  80. He DQed one of the tag teams in that tourney, so there's precedent.

    ReplyDelete
  81. My support for The Mountie ends with his match with Bret Hart. I could see him beating a novelty act and two underachievers in the preliminaries. I could see him beating two old men past their prime but against a "healthy" Bret Hart, with tears in my eyes I'm voting for Bret.

    ReplyDelete
  82. I'd like to vote on the re-vote poll first.

    ReplyDelete
  83. "Little did he know that my hair grease made slipping out of those cuffs easier than slipping Diana a mickey."
