  1. I get the feeling Maria would be the most interesting interview subject but she is from an era I have little knowledge about and little to no interest in. Torrie Wilson is better known for being Ms. A-Rod these days and she doesn't strike me as a particularly good interview subject. If (Crazy) Tori is a good interview subject she might have the most interesting story to tell, as she had the most varied experience in wrestling. Kimberly Page for some reason I have little interest in her story. Kaitlyn might provide insight into the current Divas division.

I'm voting for Tori because if she is a good interview she will have the most interesting stories. Although I get the feeling Kaitlyn is going to win, barring any shenanigans.

  4. Havent seen all of Celeste Bonin's
Maria dishes dirt on the diva's
Torrie actually has good stories about the people she has worked with
    Tori is batshit crazy
Kimberly tells a lot of WCW backstage stories that are good.

  5. And Vince thinks this is funny? Rock and Austin could make up stuff ten times funnier than this. Hey I admit they are trying to make him easy going -- but Bruce Wilhelm in 1978 strong men competitions cut better promos. Although he just called everybody fat.

  6. At least 1995 Diesel promos were better than this. I mean seriously.

  7. GIT MY BAGGGGGGGGGGGGGS

  8. Yeah, but Steiner only got over because of the three women and screaming and cussing.

  9. Rocky could have pulled that off. Roman Reigns makes early WCW babyface Jericho sound like a winner.

  10. At least Luger had American trunks and good theme music.

  11. Excuse me? Where is the commode?

  12. Watching Roman Reigns do his best John Cena impression made me wonder... was Cena ever a complete fan favorite? Like, was there ever a time where he wasn't booed by at least 1/2 of the audience? Because it's been a "mixed reaction" as far as I can remember.

  13. I still think Ambrose's performance of awful material has been much better than Reigns'. Ambrose was on fire until the hologram.

  14. Cena on his way up the card was getting a strong reaction, the smark side of the aisle thought it was his time and he deserved a bigger push and the casual fan side cheered for him because he was the face.

Cena vs. JBL for the title was basically 99% support for Cena. JBL had that title hostage for almost a year and people were sick of him. Then almost immediately after that they started screwing with Cena's character. Whoever was writing Cena's promos had a scat fetish, because while everyone remembers JBL is poopy, Cena's promos were scat centered vs. Kenzo Suzuki and Booker T also. It didn't turn the fans against him yet though.

But even aside from that, the fans were with Cena. Up until they moved him to Raw and put him against Jericho, which is one of the all time dumbest moves. It told the fans that it was OK to boo Cena and it was all downhill from there.

  15. Reigns has gotten to the point where if he feuded with Cena, Cena might get more cheers.

  16. For a long time, there has been a huge divide between what Vince thinks will get a guy over, and what will really get a guy over. You only need to look at the 'New Generation' era to see how out of touch Vince was TWENTY YEARS AGO. Say what you will about Russo and Ferrara, but at least they knew what fans in the late 90's actually liked.(Of course they both think it's still the late 90's...) Other "Creative Teams" came and went, and now Vince is once again pushing his "New Generation"-type of stuff.

  17. As memory serves, Cena was crazy over in 2004 - fresh off the audience turning him face. Huge pop for him in the 2004 Rumble, and a disappointed reaction when he got eliminated. In hindsight I bet they wish they let him win it...

  18. Or by 2040 he does the Borat version of it:

"Seth, I'm NOT sorry I interrupted! HIGH FIVE!"

  19. The blog has been chomping at the bit to start a Bootista-style backlash on Reigns for MONTHS now, even before he got hurt. It was only a matter of time before it got omnipresent here. We'll see if it actually "takes" on live TV.

  20. I remember Nash talking about how Vince told him he had to smile more. "Good guys smile, Kevin"

    ReplyDelete
  21. He was over up until about the end fall of 2005.

  22. If you are going to claim something is a Looney Tunes mash up I expect more than just putting the show's bumper at the beginning.

  23. Aside from the Rumble announcement the guy's delivery is good in all these clips. You're only as good as the dialogue they give you. I mean if you have Meryl Strep delivering lines that Joe Esterhas wrote the movie will suck. So either fire the writers or let the guy hit the talking points. That's been said a million times, but it bears repeating: writers for a wrestling show is one of the stupidest ideas ever.

  24. Not by much though.Nash was saying 'somebody stop me' like jim carry in the mask as his big 'ohhh isnt this guy cool' line. cringe.
