Plans Changed For WrestleMania Main Event?

At this moment, the WWE have changed their plans for the WrestleMania main event. Right now, they are currently going with a triple threat match of Roman Reigns vs. Daniel Bryan vs. Brock Lesnar for the World Heavyweight Championship. Despite reports of Vince not wanting to repeat last year's event with a triple threat match, he has recently reconsidered due to the overwhelming crowd support for Bryan.

  1. They have to have Bryan win, then Rollins cashes in on Bryan.

The fans salty rage filled tears would be delicious.

    ReplyDelete
  2. if this is true then Vince's steadfast refusal to repeat last year sure didn't last long at all.

    ReplyDelete
  3. Argh, I'm so angry in advance! Damn you!

    ReplyDelete
  4. Meltzer has been ALL over the place lately.

    ReplyDelete
  5. I actually don't think people would be upset by that.

The most upsetting thing to people if WWE was looking to troll its fans would be after all this Roman goes over both Brock and Bryan strong with no real character change, or change in direction and you still end up with vanilla Roman Reigns as the face of the company the night after Mania.

    ReplyDelete
  6. I think creatively they're all over the place, and that's gonna be reflected in what he's told.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Hey Art, guess what?

    ReplyDelete
  8. Roman wins, Rollis cashes in.

    Does that turn Rollins face?

    ReplyDelete
  9. There's a way to do that, and to make it work.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Now it's settled. These are the plans. Unless they change. Which they could.

It's probably hell being a wrestling reporter nowadays.

    ReplyDelete
  11. I think he's just covering all of his bases.

    ReplyDelete
  12. There is always a plan B.

    ReplyDelete
  13. I'm Paul Bearer and You're Not!!!

    ReplyDelete
  14. I think fans would absolutely be pissed at Bryan being cheated out of another title reign.

And that's why I want to see it. Obviously Bryan, while not a saviour of anything, is the best choice out of the four as champ... but that'd be a fucking historic 'what the fuck?' moment for the ages, to see them end Mania with Bryan laid out and Rollins getting 'YOU MOTHERFUCKER' heat.

    ReplyDelete
  15. LOL how did they not put that on a million T-Shirts!?

    ReplyDelete
  16. I think he;s just being realistic. I've heard these are the plans. But you know what WWE is like. He'd be silly to go out there and say anything is for definite these days.

    ReplyDelete
  17. So Dave shouldn't report changes?

    ReplyDelete
  18. Maybe you're right, but to me if you're that upset by that, you're on some level just a Bryan mark.

Bryan had his WrestleMania moment. How many guys get two? A Rollins heel title run would be really fun and it's not like you can say the guy doesn't deserve it, or isn't a good enough worker, or is a bad personality.

I would be totally on board with it as long as the execution is good.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Reigns wins. Rollins cashes in. Ambrose runs down. The Shield reforms - this was their plan all along. Then merge them with The Wyatts to form 'The Wylds' and there you go, a super stable for Bryan to face that's actually capable of good matches.

    ReplyDelete
  20. I have to borrow your second line up above.. Apologies.

    ReplyDelete
  21. How so? Watch RAW and they seemingly are booking things on the fly. Vince did not understand the backlash of Reigns winning the RR at first and apparently is on the fence about pulling the trigger. Makes sense to me.

    ReplyDelete
  22. If Vince changes his mind, its Meltzer's fault I guess?

    ReplyDelete
  23. That seriously would make the company millions. I've been thinking about that at various times and will legit lol.

    ReplyDelete
  24. TNA Fanboys salty rage filled tears are delicious.

    -Dave Meltzer.

    :)

    ReplyDelete
  25. No. Dave shouldn't report what is happening. He should just close up shop.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Who would align with Bryan then? Orton? Cena?

    ReplyDelete
  27. It's certainly a ballsy move. And Rollins ducking Bryan until Summerslam does write itself. You can even have Rollins enter MITB to make sure no-one gets the briefcase to cash it in.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I posted it in the other thread, so I'll do the short version.

Roman turns heel at Mania, joins the Authority, wins the belt.

Bryan vs. Roman the next two PPVs. Roman beats him both times.

While that's going on, Rollins starts to get mad that the Authority passed over him and made a deal with Roman. Triple H keeps telling him to wait and he'll get his shot.

Rollins decides he's had enough and cashes in after the second Bryan/Reigns match, ruining the Authority's plans and that turns him full babyface.

    ReplyDelete
  29. And that'll make TNA NUMBER ONE! WWE, HACK-PHTOOEY!

    ReplyDelete
  30. After the Rumble, it was Reigns vs. Lesnar, then it was Reigns vs. Lesnar guaranteed, Vince not budging on Bryan, now it's a triple threat even though he reported Vince doesn't want a triple threat.

He contradicts himself all the time now.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Me and Rock loved it when he first said it because it came out of left field and we assumed it was just a bad ad lib from him because he saw a camera in his face and panicked. But he said it again! They actually tried to get it over as a catchphrase!

"I'm Paul Bearer and you're not!"

--as every WWF fan says in unison "thank god for that shit"

    ReplyDelete
  32. I doubt he comes back.

    ReplyDelete
  33. And stop mooching off of tabloid readers.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Likely he won't, but still surprised they didn't have Batista/Bryan team-up as a weird 'Drax/Rocket' expy friendship. That shit would be money.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I can confirm Dave did actually say this though. Often times Meltzer gets shit for saying things he never actually said.

    ReplyDelete
  36. You can defend him here but how can you defend Melzter not giving either Shawn/Taker Mania match *****!? Hmmm?

    ReplyDelete
  37. That Bryan news is going to give me an extra kick to my step today! Got some extra swag today.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I agree that it is a good idea. It could carry them through the Summer then a split leading to a big match would be fun.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I thought that extra swag came from knowing that you're paul bearer and I'm not?

    ReplyDelete
  40. What did he give it?

    ReplyDelete
  41. Thanks to MikeyMike I'm gonna laugh all morning about that damn Paul Bearer line. He turns on his friend of 6 years and THATS the first thing he says!? It gets better and more ludicrous the more I consider it.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Eh, anything 1/2* of less might as well be the same. That doesn't bother me.

    ReplyDelete
  43. The second one is most definitely not even that. Taker's early leg injury threw that match off just enough, although the two did still clear ****... I'd say 4 1/4-4 /2 is a fair call.

    ReplyDelete
  44. haha what is that from? Summerslam 96?

    ReplyDelete
  45. I think that's correct. It seems like a one liner but then he said it at another ppv!

    ReplyDelete
  46. You heard the man. Both got ****3/4. I can defend the poor guy getting whiplash trying to keep up with their booking, I can live with the Japanese fetish but 1/4* off for those classics? I cannot abide.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Mania 26 is a hard ***** for me. The story is perfect even if the work doesn't match the insane work from the previous year.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Yes. As he's walking down the aisle with Mankind after betraying Undertaker he looks into a nearby camera and says "I'm Paul Bearer and you're not!"

    ReplyDelete
  49. Senile Wrestling Promoter Indecisive

    There. That's the Wrestlemania build.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Actually, the absolute maximum trollage for Mania would be.

Triple Threat is an elimination match.
Reigns spears Bryan and elimnates him within five minutes.
    Reigns beats Brock clean
Rollins cashes in, he catches a spear, Roman beats him too.

    ReplyDelete
  51. You've got an excuse for everything. Well I don't buy it and I won't stand for it. Meltzer done messed up.

    ReplyDelete
  52. ****3/4 and ***** is barely a difference at all. Its not like he is TJ Hawke from 411 giving Savage/Steamboat from WM III ***1/4.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Senile SPORTS ENTERTAINMENT Promoter Indecisive

    <\i> Fixed that for you.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Good job. Jerry Flynn had a good walking-back-down-the-aisle-after-the match-nearby-camera line on one Nitro when he said "Now that's how you take care of Ernest fucking Miller" then winced like he realised he might be fired as soon as he got backstage.

    ReplyDelete
  55. In happier news I watched the 1988 Rumble show last night. Rude/Steamboat was duller than dishwater but the ladies match is alright and the Rumble is good. Plus the Andre/Hogan contract signing is quality.

*choosing to ignore bench press sham because I skipped it.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Yes, Vince does contradict himself all the time now, you're correct.

    ReplyDelete
  57. I have never seen anything like this. Two straight years the fans have overrun Vince McMahon, it's crazy. Maybe Randy Savage? But Vince seemed happy to push him, so I don't know.

    ReplyDelete
  58. That's why Senile Vince is the best angle they're not doing at the moment.

Have him pitch all his crazy shit on camera AS a senile old promoter and have Triple H/Stephanie try and figure out how to take care of the Vince problem.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Honestly, the best finish would be Brock retaining the title and Rollins cashing on in Lesnar.

    ReplyDelete
  60. You don't have time to watch Dino Bravo lift the same thing over and over for 30 straight minutes? Your commitment to this 80s WWF project is weak.

    ReplyDelete
  61. The Royal Rumble winner hasn't had a clean shot at the WWE Title since 2009.

2015: Reigns wins, puts his shot on the line against Daniel Bryan
2014: Batista wins, match turns into a Triple Threat.
2013: Cena wins, puts his shot on the line against CM Punk
2012: Sheamus wins, chooses WHC match
2011: Del Rio wins, chooses WHC match
2010: Edge wins, chooses WHC match

    ReplyDelete
  62. You abandoned your WWF 80's project in record fashion so zip it pal!

    ReplyDelete
  63. Speaking of chronological viewing, Mikey you still going through February PPV or you bail on that?

    ReplyDelete
  64. But what about Sheamus? Who is he supposed to face at wrestlemania?

    ReplyDelete
  65. Was going to call you the other Bodydonnas name but I couldn't remember it.

    ReplyDelete
  66. You shut your mouth! I actually watched the first SNME today! It was a really fun show. The Piper/Orndorf segment was awesome.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Skip it, pal!

    ReplyDelete
  68. Go for it. I stole it from South Park. Cartman is a boss.

    ReplyDelete
  69. Yeah a lot of those early SNME were really fun and breezed by.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Wow. Talk about begging your customers to go away and never return. That scenario might get it done

    ReplyDelete
  71. Damn it all. That would've worked so good. Bad start to my day and the forecast for the rest isn't Sunny.

    ReplyDelete
  72. I guess that is correct, but then what happens when it ends up being Reigns vs. Lesnar with no Bryan? Does Meltzer say Vince changed his mind again or does he do the "I told you so" referencing his newsletter from January?

    ReplyDelete
  73. Bailed on it after 05 lol. I have more fun watching these PPVs with you guys.

    ReplyDelete
  74. I like WWE and TNA.....

    ReplyDelete
  75. BUT THE ROMAN EMPIRE, MAGGLE!!!!!

THE PAX ROMANA OF THE WWE!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  76. Heath Slater. With Eva Marie as special referee.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Do people not tell him what is going on and just let it happen? Or are they telling him but he just laughs it off until it comes true?

    ReplyDelete
  78. I think the three way is the best way to go in order for fans not to shit on the main event, but instead of repeating things like last year with Bryan winning, you have Reigns turn heel, aligns with Heyman and he'd be the biggest heel in the company. Then you can have Bryan chase the title.

    ReplyDelete
  79. It had a great opening six man, the Hulk/Orton match was decent, and it had Vince saying "Alrrriiight mother Bertha, getting down with the dog!"

    ReplyDelete
  80. Leading to a title match at Extreme Rules for Kane.

    ReplyDelete
  81. It's not bad, however if that is the path, I would like to see Rollins in that main heel role

    ReplyDelete
  82. Roman Reigns is the third wheel in that match.Take him out and slot him against Rollins instead.

I doubt there is a wrestling fan who doesn't want to see Lesnar vs. Bryan.

    ReplyDelete
  83. I think fans are getting kind of sick of watching Bryan chase the title for months. That story already happened. I'd rather them just put the title on him and let him defend it until Summerslam at least.

    ReplyDelete
  84. Well Triple H was still blaming "heel town Philly" as recently as the Stone Cold podcast.

So yeah, I think they shield Vince from things he doesn't want to hear.

    ReplyDelete
  85. Vince reportedly wrote Roman's promos and thought they would get him over the top and ready for the strap at Mania and I guess finally came to the realization that it was not working.

    ReplyDelete
  86. Stranger in the AlpsFebruary 9, 2015 at 7:27 AM

Rare daytime appearance, as I'm waiting to drive Mrs. Stranger to her doc appointment.

I'm with Vince on this one. I wouldn't really want to run a triple threat match for a second straight year. I'm either all in with Roman Reigns or I'm pulling the plug until AFTER Wrestlemania. Vince is obviously kinda sorta second guessing his Reigns love, so the right thing to do would be to cave in to the fans, give them Bryan vs. Brock, have Reigns turn heel out of jealousy, he beats Bryan at Extreme Rules or SummerSlam.

    ReplyDelete
  87. Who can stop Roman Reigns? He's on a roll!

Wait...that's gotta be....that's gotta be KANE!

    ReplyDelete
  88. Add Rollins and make it a 4 way! A FATAL FOUR WAY

    ReplyDelete
  89. I figured. You got pretty quiet about your progress.

It's funny how a bunch of people have rallied around ROCK's PPV viewing schedule lol.

    ReplyDelete
  90. I think if you give Bryan the gold he needs to run with it until SummerSlam

    ReplyDelete
  91. Watch Vince finally get the message, book an epic year long story for Bryan culminating at Wrestlemania 32, only for fans to get sick of him and start booing the shit out of Bryan by February.

    ReplyDelete
  92. The story of Bryan getting the belt back after winning the Rumble would have been so much better from the get-go. Then build up Reigns for the 2016 RR win and belt at WM 32.

    ReplyDelete
  93. I gained new appreciation for Hogan watching those SNME because most of his defenses are fun. Even against slugs.

    ReplyDelete
  94. I kind of assume no matter who wins they're not holding it past Payback due to Rollins MITB.

Doesn't it have to be cashed before the next MITB? Or is that going to be another conveniently ignored rule by WWE?

    ReplyDelete
  95. Vince doesn't want the fans to revolt at Mania. That would kill Reigns.

    ReplyDelete
  96. That's the ticket. Want to get fans to boo Bryan? Push the HELL out of him.

    ReplyDelete
  97. This is exactly how I feel. They could slowly build up Reigns' heel turn by having him team with Bryan against the Authority until around Summerslam when Reigns flips out and beats up Bryan at like the July PPV. Reigns' promo calling the fans stupid for not cheering for him so he joined the bad side. Make Reigns the new Corporate Champion beating Bryan at Summerslam.

    ReplyDelete
  98. Want fans to boo Bryan? Push the HELL out of him AND have him do everything Cena does.

    FTFY

    ReplyDelete
  99. Aye. Bad crowd at the Rumble or on Raw is one thing. But you can't have a BAD Wrestlemania moment.

    ReplyDelete
  100. Wake up Vince. Reigns is no where near ready, and no matter how much you shove him down our throats, that point doesn't change. Putting him in the match is going to do nothing but hurt him.

As I've said before. Put Bryan over Lesnar and give him a run with the belt for a year. Not half assed one either. Go all in. If he succeeds that means YOU have made money, if he fails then you can say "See, I told you so". It's really a win win for you.

    ReplyDelete
  101. Rumble next year: either

    a) have Bryan win it
    b) have him in the title match

It's because people want to see Bryan v Brock. A three way is lame, but fine.

I'd have Bryan win it at wrestlemania. Rollins comes out to cash in, but reigns spears him to stop it (though the bell doesn't ring so he has the briefcase still). You then have the fans cheering Roman and Bryan as they celebrate together

    ReplyDelete
  102. I didn't give you permission to fix anything for me!

    ReplyDelete
  103. The whole Bryan thing is badly tainted by his mistreatment at the Rumble.

    ReplyDelete
  104. YEAH-TIS-TA! YEAH-TIS-TA! YEAH-TIS-TA!

    ReplyDelete
  105. If Reigns wins the Triple Threat that's exactly what will happen to close the show.

The Mania crowd booed Mysterio winning the year he won because they were all in on Angle. Once they decide on their guy, they're going to torch anyone else winning, and there's no chance they don't align almost entirely behind Bryan.

    ReplyDelete
  106. I'm up to the Main Event in my WWF viewing. Andre/Hogan II! I've seen it before but I wouldn't live with myself skipping one of the biggest cards ever.

    ReplyDelete
  107. In related news, Vince McMahon just realised yesterday WWE's stock has dropped about 50% since WrestleMania XXX.

    ReplyDelete
  108. 6 months of a fighting champion run.

    ReplyDelete
  109. Have Reigns win the title in the semi-main event and have something else close the show.

    ReplyDelete
  110. Says he changes his mind. Vince books the WWE, not Meltzer.

    ReplyDelete
  111. I was watching a version I had on my PC, and it had the original music on it. I think you said it when you watched it, but Eye Of The Tiger was so good as Hogans theme.

    ReplyDelete
  112. Randy Orton looks like he worked Kane on house shows this weekend.

Could we really be getting an Orton/Kane Mania match? What year is this??

    ReplyDelete
  113. Plan is still Orton/Rollins.

    ReplyDelete
  114. A tweet I read from yesterday:

    "Nick & Bryan Show @TheNBShow · 20h20 hours ago

Daniel Bryan visited a children's hospital and hosted a trivia game with ALL 12 floors.

Figure we should tell you since WWE won't."

    ReplyDelete
  115. What's with this sudden flurry of Fuji Vice activity? Is the Blog of Doom getting cold feet over pushing Abeyance?

    ReplyDelete
  116. That's the exactly the type of stuff they should be promoting. Its great press.

    ReplyDelete
  117. Aww you lucky bastard! I grew up hearing Real American but I heard him enter to Eye of the Tiger for a House show match against John Studd on YouTube and it brings so much electricity.

    ReplyDelete
  118. But they won't because it'll get Bryan over even more. So sad how petty WWE is sometimes.

    ReplyDelete
  119. Find out tonight on BoD RAW!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  120. They wouldn't even promote his stuff with the SF Giants or Seahawks. Hell, even the Michigan St. game last year. ESPN even does it for that.

    ReplyDelete
  121. Sufferin Succotash, son!

    ReplyDelete
  122. Bryan is mega over right now, imagine how much money they COULD be making off this guy if they promoted his appearances outside of wrestling and booked him well.

    ReplyDelete
  123. Then put a McMahon in every corner.

    ReplyDelete
  124. So, if the plan is Bryan/Reigns/Lesnar, then what happens at Fastlane in the Bryan vs. Reigns match to make this happen?

    ReplyDelete
  125. Big Show comes to the ring, knocks them both out, and the show closes with his music playing with no result announced for the main event.

    ReplyDelete
  126. Lesnar kills both to prove a point, Heyman laughs.

WHO CAN STOP THE BEAST INCARNATE! WHAT WILL HAPPEN AT WRESTLEMANIA!

    ReplyDelete
  127. Extant1979 - Mr. Cable AccessFebruary 9, 2015 at 7:40 AM

Good grief. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Hopefully, if they ARE resigned to changing their plans, they go all-out and do Lesnar-Bryan one-on-one, because I think it's the match that everyone wants to see.

Also, The New York Daily News did a story on the Grammy Awards last night, comparing some of the fashions at the show to similar wears. One of the Kardashians was compared to the Nature Boy. It's weird seeing Ric on the front page in one of his gold robes...

    ReplyDelete
  128. He is a great guy by all accounts and the YES chant is everywhere. How the fuck are they not making as much as possible with that. Vince loves guys who move merch and they aren't milking this for all they can? It makes no sense.

    ReplyDelete
  129. Aye, it's pretty cool. JYD coming to another one bites the dust was cool as well. I presume that was changed as well.

    ReplyDelete
  130. Last few weeks aside, I was really hoping for a Brock/Cena/Reigns/Bryan four-way. Elimination style, of course.

The unstoppable beast heel, the decade-long top face, the hand-picked successor, and the man of the people. It's perfect.

    ReplyDelete
  131. Extant1979 - Mr. Cable AccessFebruary 9, 2015 at 7:41 AM

Bryan puts Reigns in the YES! Lock, Reigns rolls him over. Ref counts three as Reigns taps. Classic conundrum!

    ReplyDelete
  132. To even it out though, the video quality was horrendous.

    ReplyDelete
  133. Old WWE would do the ref counts the pin with both guys' shoulders down disputed finish.

    ReplyDelete
  134. Wouldn't be shocked if that was the case.

    ReplyDelete
  135. If anyone had been paying attention the last 2 weeks, they have been booking DB super strong, they have been booking him like he's going to wrestlemania and win the title.......with Wins over Kane, Rollins, then the handicap match. All during the same time, Reigns is stuck in 50/50 hell with the Freaking Big Show

    ReplyDelete
  136. Still can't believe they were dumb enough to make the same mistake 2 years in a row. Would be funny if it wasn't so tragic

    ReplyDelete
  137. To Be Fair though, whenever they mention Cena visiting kids or soldiers whatever, my reaction is along the lines of "bleurgh! Enough of the emotional blackmail! I'll like who I damn well want to like!". But I might just be a bad person.

    ReplyDelete
  138. Nothing says super strong booking like beating a guy that was like 5-98 last year.

    ReplyDelete
  139. Extant1979 - Mr. Cable AccessFebruary 9, 2015 at 7:42 AM

I honestly would be, simply because they would never have Reigns tap.

    ReplyDelete
  140. Extant1979 - Mr. Cable AccessFebruary 9, 2015 at 7:43 AM

Bryan comes to the ring with the McMahon-Helmsley children! SWERVE!!

    ReplyDelete
  141. Sounds like a heel on BoD RAW to me. You're booked!

    ReplyDelete
  142. True...but people do still buy Kane as a star and a threat

    ReplyDelete
  143. Good. That does make me feel better!

    ReplyDelete
  144. Vince still buys Kane as a star and a threat. That's what's important in the grand scheme of things.

    ReplyDelete
  145. I watched the despecialized edition of Star Wars over the weekend. That is some amazing work Harmy did.

    ReplyDelete
  146. Hulk Hogan.

It begins and ends there with Vince. It's the only thing he truly believes in. Cena was Hogan enough. Bryan's a midget, he can't possibly be the next Hogan.

I think that's pretty much it in a nutshell for him.

    ReplyDelete
  147. Double finish or double countout. OR OR OR Big Show comes out and knocks both guys out.

    ReplyDelete
  148. With those frying pan-sized hands!

    ReplyDelete
  149. How big is The Big Show in person? I heard he has hands as big as typewriters!

    ReplyDelete
  150. You will have to buy a ticket and see for yourself.

    ReplyDelete
  151. Orton/Rollins via Kane

    ReplyDelete
  152. I think it's funny Kane is still being credited as the guy who put Bryan out of commission for a year.

Normally that would be ground for a massive push for someone. Instead it's like "Kane nearly ended Bryan's career and made him forfeit the title! Watch him lose 10 matches in a row!"

    ReplyDelete
  153. This crowd is insanely hot to open this show.

    ReplyDelete
  154. What the fuck is a "typewriter"???!!!

    ReplyDelete
  155. Bryan should have the title and not be in the Rumble, Zayn should be built up by that time and win the Rumble, Bryan should be turned heel for Zayn/Bryan at WM.

    ReplyDelete
  156. Fucking hell, Vince...

    ReplyDelete
  157. That would be a good 3.5-4 star match

    ReplyDelete
  158. THE WYPORATE SHIELDESTRY. IT WAS ME, DANIEL, IT WAS ME ALL ALONG!

    ReplyDelete
  159. You forgot to add that Big Show will be crying.

    ReplyDelete
  160. "WWE STAR....

    .....Bo Dallas....."

    LOL. Good one, Bayless.

    ReplyDelete
  161. which show?

    ReplyDelete
  162. Roman Reigns was at that hospital the week before and all the kids started booing him. It's pretty telling if a terminally-ill child summons what precious strength they have left just to jeer a celebrity visitor.

    ReplyDelete
  163. Send him back to NXT for a program.

    ReplyDelete
  164. The Main Event.

    ReplyDelete
  165. The kid was just dying to get Reigns out of his room.

  166. People? Are you talking about just Vince or do you seriously think a ton of fans see Kane as either a star or a threat?

    ReplyDelete
  167. The heat for Savage and Tonky. Damn that's good.

    ReplyDelete
  168. Oh sure, NOW Vince listens to what the crowd wants.

I'm with Night on this one: Fucking hell, Vince.

    ReplyDelete
  169. God, I hope they don't book Bryan in a match against Kane to open Mania so he can get into the Triple Threat later that night.

    ReplyDelete
  170. If they actually go with Bryan in the Main Event, no one is going to be angry right?

    ReplyDelete
  171. I have given up on predicting what goes on in Vince's mind. I will simply use the hashtag #VINCE from now on.

    ReplyDelete
  172. Heel champion + failed babyface + Daniel Bryan

IT'S A GOD DAMN WINNING FORMULA FOR BOOKING!

    ReplyDelete
  173. My ideal scenario is have Rollins cost Reigns the match at Fast Lane so they can square off at Mania (throw in Ambrose for a Shield triple threat). Then they can just focus on building the ultimate David vs. Goliath match of Bryan vs. Lesnar.

    ReplyDelete
  174. Coming out of Royal Rumble and the following night's raw, I still wanna see Rollins vs Lesnar more than any other match, and I'm as big of a Daniel Bryan mark as there is.

    ReplyDelete
  175. You have 5 minutes with Vince. He is just going to listen. You walk in with 5 talking points. They are...

    ReplyDelete
  176. I have no desire to see Reigns go over Rollins

    ReplyDelete
  177. I think Bryan has to win, really. He's the one who has to prove he deserves to be in the main event after his pretty shitty performance in the Royal Rumble. Maybe a screwy finish to allow Reigns a way back in, but Bryan needs to earn his spot with a victory.

My first live event was December 1987 at MSG - main event was Honky Tonk defending the IC title against Savage. Place went nuts when Savage came to the ring.

  179. What REALLY happened with Savage and Stephanie?

    That's all I care about.

  180. Muscles.
    More muscles.
    Bigger muscles.
    Thigh muscles.
    Daniel Bryan?

  182. 1) Take Raw to 2 hours
    2) Drop musical celebrity interludes from Wrestlemania
    3) The Intercontinental Title stops being a job-magnet. The holder should be booked strongly.
    4) Good tag teams don't need to split into singles competitors. There is value in a good tag division.
    5) NXT doesn't exist. It's a figment of your imagination, no need to think more on it. Look, there's someone with tits farting.

    ReplyDelete
  183. Who says Roman goes over Rollins? I'd have Seth win!

    ReplyDelete
  184. What's this? *intrigued*

    ReplyDelete
  185. 1) Push the mid-card. Make whoever the IC champ is your secondary big star as if it's a world title itself. Whoever you see as a main eventer, run them as an IC champ for a year to test the waters.
    2) Close down WWE Studios. It's not making you money. Quite the opposite.
    3) If the fans start getting behind someone, PUSH THEM. Even if they fail in the long run, you can at least make money off them in the short term.
    4) Give us a good and proper tag division. Use primarily guys who are new in order for them to learn the trade together and slowly become recognizable.
    5) Stop doing angles that only amuse you. You are not the only audience around here, Vince.

    ReplyDelete
  186. I think people appreciate Kane, but recognise exactly where he stands in the overall pecking order of things.

For all he's beginning to stink up the place a bit, he's been a good guy to have around for some time now and has earned a lot of respect in the business, deservedly so.

    ReplyDelete
  187. I wouldn't mind that. Too bad they're both heels and can't headline Mania like that.

    ReplyDelete
  188. 1) He's gonna...

    3) He's gonna....

    5) PUKE! He's GONNA PUKE?!!?!?!!!!!!!!!!

  189. Shenanigans! THEVIGILANTESTING maybe getting involved when Rollins and J&J try to influence the outcome of the match somehow.

    ReplyDelete
  190. I wasn't kidding when I called my shot and said they would have the triple threat.

At this point I believe it's the only way to salvage Reigns as a guy that people will genuinely care about. Bryan overcomes the odds, wins the championship and then Rollins cashes in while Reigns does nothing.

Then you have Ambrose getting in Reigns' face about it, you do Reigns/Ambrose and Rollins/Bryan before the ubiquitous tag team match and from there you ride the carousel until it ends up with Reigns as champion.

    ReplyDelete
  191. Actually, one way to get Reigns a big reaction would be for Bryan to win (getting Lesnar to tap!) and then he gets jumped by the Authority (while Reigns is 'out of commission' on the outside).

Rollins cashes in. The bell rings. J&J distract the ref, he hits Bryan with the suitcase, sets up the Kerb Stomp, runs at the ropes and Reigns pops up with a Superman Punch out of nowhere, dropping Rollins for Bryan to grab into a Yes lock.

Sets up a Rollins/Reigns feud, lets Bryan walk out champ, but salvages Reigns in the eyes of the crowd a bit.

    ReplyDelete
  192. I'm still skeptical that we'll have the Triple Threat. We all know how wishy washy Vince is.

    ReplyDelete
  193. I like it a lot. Thats good booking.

    ReplyDelete
  194. The other thing is does is allow WM to end with both of the big faces triumphant in the ring, holding one another's arms up, mutual respect, iconic image, etc.

Everyone wins (except Rollins, but he's been very well protected til this point and I don't think it would damage him to lose a cash-in under those circumstances).
