  1. I really hope they keep Brock after Wrestlemania. He's had awesome matches lately.

    ReplyDelete
  2. Nice job, PWI - Throwback Thursday has only been a live stream deal for 2 weeks (going on 3) now.

  4. Resigning Lesnar could be the one thing that changes everything about their current plan.

    ReplyDelete
  5. How was the HHH podcast, was he honest?

    ReplyDelete
  6. You'll take what Brock gives you and you'll love it.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Lesnar's new deal will pay him $4 million per appearance, leading to budget cuts at NXT.

Shut your dirty whore mouth, Logan Scisco! Don't you call that evil down on us...

  9. Burnt Biscuit! Biff KensingtonFebruary 3, 2015 at 8:20 AM

If you resign Lesnar, have Rollins screw Reigns at Fast Lane, run Brock/Bryan and Reigns/Rollins at WrestleMania. Simple.

    ReplyDelete
  10. LET LESNAR LEAVE~! It's best for business!

    ReplyDelete
  11. So no recap of the podcast, again? Guess those wcw recaps are of more interest

    ReplyDelete
  12. I'm glad Triple H mentioned that 3 hours is too long for RAW. I honestly think going back to 2 hours would help tremendously.

    ReplyDelete
  13. I find it funny Ernie Ladd is like the token black dude honored by the company ever February.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Is anything from the Network recapped anymore? I kinda remember Raw and Nitro rants but it was so long ago...

    ReplyDelete
  15. Never going to take NXT off network unless the abandon the network..it's their bread and butter for hardcore fans right now

    ReplyDelete
  16. I guess Scott is pacing himself under the expectation that 1997 won't actually be put up for several years.

    ReplyDelete
  17. spinning but fairly honest. about as honest as you would imagine a COO and former pro wrestler will be

    ReplyDelete
  18. Triple H said that they can book NXT so awesomely because it's targeted toward the hardcore Network fans. My concern would be if they put NXT on TV it would end up being WWECW within a month.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Seems like s good idea to me!

    ReplyDelete
  20. I actually like the idea of a throwback Thursday, even though the WWE didn't think of it. Would be nice to see some of the legends as jobbers, or even showing the old Gorilla/Bobby skits.

    ReplyDelete
  21. I am recapping the Ernie Ladd shoot currently.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Let Brock beat the shit out of both of them and leave the promotion with the belt. Set up a tournament have Big Show win after a run in from Kane and give him a 3 year run with the belt.

    ReplyDelete
  23. I'm sure we will have three wcw recaps posted before lunch

    ReplyDelete
  24. Or make hour 1 of Raw into NXT.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Only about ten minutes in but okay so far and Ladd comes off as a great guy. In fact, never heard anyone say a bad word about him ever.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Without revealing too much, how is it?

    ReplyDelete
  27. I for one am excited to see Brock take on Curtis Axel as the Paul Heyman Guys COLLIDE~!

    ReplyDelete
  28. Bonnie Hammer probably won't like that.

    ReplyDelete
  29. The rating is going to come in huge.

    That Denver crowd sucked.

    ReplyDelete
  30. "There is optimism within the WWE that a deal will be worked out to
retain Lesnar after his last scheduled appearance, which is the RAW
    after WrestleMania"

Oh goody, we can look forward to another four Lesnar matches over the next two years. How many will be against Cena or Triple H?

    ReplyDelete
  31. You aren't going to get the recaps you cheer for you will get the recaps we give you and you will like it

    ReplyDelete
  32. It'd be nice of them to secure a Saturday morning/afternoon deal for NXT and divorce 1 hour of RAW for that.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Or more Midsouth mid-atlantic and so on.

    ReplyDelete
  34. If anyone likes cheesy 70s game shows and wrestling trivia, we kicked off a combo of both this week:

    http://placetobenation.com/brainbuster-the-pro-wrestling-quiz-show-episode-1/

    ReplyDelete
  35. You want people to believe Bryan can't beat Lesnar. You want the small, plucky underdog to be for real considered an underdog.

Believing Bryan can't beat Lesnar is good.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I enjoy Brock Lesnar. I hope he sticks around and they continue booking him super strong. Hes about the only thing ive enjoyed in the last 6 months outside of Nxt and a few good matches here and there.

    ReplyDelete
  37. So hardcore = awesome. And casual is not. Why must this be so?

    ReplyDelete
  38. Vince: "Ok Brock..you go back to UFC win the belt and if you walk out of the company and on to RAW with the UFC belt..we will give you 10 million"

    ReplyDelete
  39. And Koko B Ware is in the Hall of Fame and everything...no honor for Koko....

    ReplyDelete
  40. I think 3 hours of wrestling regardless is too long to maintain viewer's interest, even if 1 hour is NXT,

Hell, 1 hour of awesome NXT followed by 2 shit hours of RAW would not do WWE any favors.

    ReplyDelete
  41. You will read recaps of late 90's WCW by 4 different writers and you WILL LIKE IT!!!

    ReplyDelete
  42. I'm almost 100% certain that Bryan gets released after Mania.

    ReplyDelete
  43. "We're trying to appeal to many different demographics" - Triple H from last night.

Apparently trying to please everyone = sucky television

    ReplyDelete
  44. Plus, Vince would make the Bunny NXT champion...just because.

    ReplyDelete
  45. You will read recaps of late 90's WCW by 4 different writers and you WILL LIKE IT!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  46. ROFL, why would the company do that?

    ReplyDelete
  47. To shut up the crowd hijackers, mostly.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Yeah don't want to tamper with it.

That said, WWECW got pretty damn great by the end. Basically a proto-NXT with a nice mix of vets and kids in their own universe.

    ReplyDelete
  49. If that happened, I'd be totally into NXT because dumpster fires are fun.

    ReplyDelete
  50. They did up that PYT Express video.

    ReplyDelete
  51. ...because that's worked so well with CM Punk.....

    ReplyDelete
  52. Beware of the troll

    ReplyDelete
  53. Bad news, Danimal. Scott said "no" to my request for your lucha reviews on the main page. His e-mail was funny; just "No."

    ReplyDelete
  54. There is a 0% chance that Vince releases his 2nd biggest moneymaking wrestler. Even Scott Steiner math would agree

    ReplyDelete
  55. I get where you are coming from, but I think that would just make the problem worse. You'd just get loud YES chants and "Daniel Bryan" for a long time. At least it would add some variety to the CM Punk chants.

    ReplyDelete
  56. PYT was a fun team. And for all the jokes about Koko in the HoF, he was an under appreciated talent.

    ReplyDelete
  57. True, but the shit far, far outweighed the good.

    ReplyDelete
  58. I would buy a show just to see Tenay get katahajime'd.

    ReplyDelete
  59. What's weird to me is everyone I've ever shown PWG to LOVES it, even people who otherwise hate wrestling. So, it seems to me there's something to be said for a straight ahead wrestling show without 20 minute promos and bad comedy. Totally anecdotal evidence on my end, but it's something I've observed.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Early on it did... I think the last couple years were much more good than bad. Christian's title run was really good.

    ReplyDelete
  61. I'd be fine with Raw if every now and again they would throw a curveball. "Tonight on a very special episode of Raw it's Battlebowl!" or "Tonight we present an unannounced King of the Ring tournament". Just something different for one night every few months to surprise the fans and shake up all the usual matchups and feuds. I would watch that show.

    ReplyDelete
  62. But Lesnar is a genetic freak, and he's not normal!

    ReplyDelete
  63. Any place. If New Japan wanted to expand in the states, Bryan would be a good pick up.

    ReplyDelete
  64. I think Tenay is the most underrated announcer in the history of wrestling.

    ReplyDelete
  65. So, I guess that means we have to reduce Bryan's chance by at least 66 2/3rds?

    ReplyDelete
  66. I've been seeing comments about that lately - did they announce some sort of expansionist plan? I know they have the NJPW Dojo in LA, but I've never heard of them wanting to do more than loan out the occasional worker.

    ReplyDelete
  67. If Bryan jumped to another promotion would it help them get to another level ala Hogan? Stupid comparison, yes, but I do wonder what would happen if he bolted for some reason.

    ReplyDelete
  68. "What's Bryan Danielson doing in the Tokyo Dome, Taz?"
"We don't announce together any more, Tenay, and I have no interest in having casual conversation with you. Stay away from me *JUDO THROW*".

    ReplyDelete
  69. It wouldn't make any sense for Bryan to go to ROH in this hypothetical, but he'd be God in ROH if he ever went back. People would literally carry him to the ring and let him walk on their bodies on his way to the back.

    ReplyDelete
  70. "Yep Mode" Abeyance Brown ©February 3, 2015 at 8:37 AM

I'd be fine if they announce those type of events a week in advance, at least more could watch and have something to look forward to.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Bryan has 141 2/3rds chance of winning @ Sacrifice?

    ReplyDelete
  72. I would say that is true. You can't please everyone. No TV show does.

    ReplyDelete
  73. It's understandable.

    ReplyDelete
  74. That's fucking stupid.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Who? TNA\ROH? Going to Japan would be his best option, I'd think.

    ReplyDelete
  76. I was still disappointed. I truly enjoy the endless 1990s WCW recaps, but it's beginning to wear thin even for me.

    ReplyDelete
  77. He has one of those voices with a cadence that you could listen to all day. I loved his induction of JYD into the Hall of Fame.

    ReplyDelete
  78. "Yep Mode" Abeyance Brown ©February 3, 2015 at 8:37 AM

And then, Zeke had to win it on the last episode for no reason.

    ReplyDelete
  79. If Brock Lesnar had Scott Steiner's promo ability, he would perhaps be the single greatest heel in wrestling history.

    ReplyDelete
  80. I don't think I've heard anything of them wanting to expand, I'm just throwing an idea out there.

    ReplyDelete
  81. First: "There aren't enough minorities on Friends!"
Later: "They only made Ross' new girlfriend black so they can address the lack of minorities on the show!"

    ReplyDelete
  82. I was watching a couple of Total Divas episodes yesterday, and one episode honestly has THEE perfect template for Cena's heel character. He was doing these competitions with Nikki Bella that basically amounted to #CENAWINSLOL and he was essentially a hypercompetitive dick going out of his way to remind Nikki of his superiority at all tymes while also being as annoying as possible about it. He even busted out his old rewind schtick from when he was The Prototype!

    ReplyDelete
  83. Anyone out there who runs their own blog. What site did you use? Any pointers for a young up and coming blogger? I'm thinking of starting a wrestling/fast food review/pop culture musings type thing to satisfy my thirst for attention. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    ReplyDelete
  84. They're working with ROH more and more in North America. They're trying to build a North America audience slowly.

    ReplyDelete
  85. "If you take my 33 1/3 percents and add it to Samoa Joe's 33 1/3 percent, then you've got 66.6% chance of winnin' at Sacrifice."

    ReplyDelete
  86. Also, if this happened, I'm sure Brie Bella would file for divorce.

    ReplyDelete
  87. Both those companies have their own stigmas attached to them that even Bryan couldn't overcome. It'd have to be somewhere new to mainstream like New Japan, or maybe the nebuulous GFW.

    ReplyDelete
  88. All I know is Lesnar has a 141 2/3 chance of winnin' at Sacrifice

    ReplyDelete
  89. I do feel like we're reliving the same period over and over again. Keith will eventually catch up with CFB, who's two years behind Hall. And RocK Star Gary on the forums is a year behind Keith.

    ReplyDelete
  90. Having English-speaking commentary for their internet streams was definitely a smart move.

    ReplyDelete
  91. "Yep Mode" Abeyance Brown ©February 3, 2015 at 8:40 AM

    Wrong Bella.

    ReplyDelete
  92. Thanks for the heads up, I'll look into it.

    ReplyDelete
  93. Burnt Biscuit! Biff KensingtonFebruary 3, 2015 at 8:41 AM

    Aye, will do.

    ReplyDelete
  94. ABSOLUTELY! I've got some time later this afternoon I'm trying to really get this project off the ground. It's been something I've been thinking about for awhile. I will definitely keep you in mind. If you'd like to stay as close to the project as possible you can email your ideas at:
    bro.danimal.crossing.bro@gmail.com
We can spitball and see what we come up with.

    ReplyDelete
  95. Don't most people use wordpress these days?

    ReplyDelete
  96. It seemed like he missed out a star going by the write-up.

    ReplyDelete
  97. That isn't necessarily what he said. He said if you search for her online you'll come across all the issues she's had over the last 10 years or so. Like you said, she appears to be a train wreck these days so they don't want that around.

    ReplyDelete
  98. Crowd was split with Reigns on RAW, and like it or not, there were a small amount of boos for Bryan when he went on the mic after his match. It's going to happen.

    ReplyDelete
  99. PPV crowds are different. It will be at least 95% Pro Bryan.
