I love how in New York City, jumping a turnstyle is actually a legitimate excuse for a cop to pull his gun on a suspect. And we wonder why our jails are overcrowded and there are so many incidents of police brutality.

My new Mayor is a 6-foot-6 narcissistic ass clown who can't pull his head out of the sand long enough to realize that, just because he won in a landslide, when less than 10 percent of the population of the City actually go out and vote, it means you don't ACTUALLY have a mandate. Especially since the majority of those people only voted for him because his son has a fucking afro.

  107. Extant1979 - Mr. Cable AccessFebruary 14, 2015 at 6:26 PM

He went too far in the wrong direction with it, because he didn't think about what he was saying. There was no institutional knowledge in his office, a bunch of young kids who never imagined they would be helping to run the City and aren't necessarily prepared for it.

Instead of pushing for reforms while showing support, he went ahead and pissed off the police union chiefs - who are already never agreeable with government officials, because they need to be seen as supporting their guys - without offering anything in return. No give and take, which is what they were expecting.

Now, he's spending all his time behind the 8 ball.

    ReplyDelete
  108. Its a miracle Houston made it to the Finals

    This is over.

    ReplyDelete
  118. Also, Spider-Man in Avengers 3 is going to be incredible. If they can find a way to work out a deal and get Wolverine too, then have all the money.

    ReplyDelete
  119. Grant at least was useful. Penny was bounced from the league very quickly

    ReplyDelete
  120. So, if MJ doesn't retire in '93, do the Bulls win the championship in '94 and '95?

    ReplyDelete
  121. I'd give it ****1/4, personally.

    ReplyDelete
  122. Penny's shots actually looked good while Westbrook was just chucking it lmao

    ReplyDelete
  123. Probably at least one of those seasons.

    ReplyDelete
  124. I think they win only one of those years if at all. I don't see a team winning five (or eight) years in a row in the modern NBA.

I love how the German terrorists don't want to leave the bomb on the street, because some kid could pick it up. Never mind the fact that Simon put a bomb in one of the schools in the City.

    ReplyDelete
  127. No. They might make the finals but they were wat too worn out after three titles.

    ReplyDelete
  128. Nope. Jordan is an 8-time champion.

    ReplyDelete
  129. you doing another 97 watch tonight?

    ReplyDelete
  130. I think Chicago wins in '94, but '95

    ReplyDelete
  131. I think Houston wins the '95 title. They were a team of destiny.

    ReplyDelete
  132. Don't think so. Probably restart tomorrow. I needed a few days break.

    ReplyDelete
  133. Nice. Does it do a good job sort of introducing all the talent? I haven't watched an LU and Fuji's Voice recommended I start with this show because I want to add LU to my weekly wrestling viewing.

    ReplyDelete
  134. Caught up with the New Japan show from earlier, and I'll be damned, a match that wasn't even supposed to happen - Honma/Ishii - may be the best I've seen in this week. A brutal, intense 25 minutes, which at some points was too stiff for my liking, but a great match nonetheless. What a week of wrestling. Honestly one of the best I've ever witnessed.

    ReplyDelete
  135. I think Houston gets 94. Chicago's got a better shot at 95.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  137. where are you restarting? I think I dropped off right after Mania 13.

    ReplyDelete
  138. I think I would really enjoy if they added a Legends Game for All Star weekend. Guys in their 40's and 50's that kept in halfway decent shape could likely put on a good show. They could do 8 minute quarters or 2 20 minute periods or something like that.

    ReplyDelete
  145. awesome. yeah, I'm up for KOTR/Stampede tomorrow.

there are also a couple of Aug/Sept Raws (including the one where Cactus Jack debuts at MSG v. HHH) on the Network - up for working those in around Summerslam as well?

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  150. I think Orlando beats them in '95. That Magic team was much better than that Bulls team, easily the worst of the 1990-1998 versions.

    ReplyDelete
  151. Charismatic eNegro Jef VinsonFebruary 14, 2015 at 6:38 PM

If it was a game up to 12 like a pickup game then sure.

  152. Did you see the match yet? It seemed the perfect time to do it.

    ReplyDelete
  153. You need the trigger pulled on you.

    ReplyDelete
  154. 95 Bulls had baseball shape Jordan. If they have full strength MJ I think they get past Orlando.

94 I think the Bulls get to the finals. But I think they run out of gas. I think only two teams have made four straight finals since the 60s? And they always run out of gas. It's a lot of basketball and everybody gets tired, even MJ.

Is there a generally-accepted handful of Best Matches Ever in Japanese wrestling history? We tend to have a general top ten that get kicked around in WWE/NWA/WCW history, but is there a Stemboat-Savage or Flair-Steamboat type match in Japan's history? Or too many to count?

    ReplyDelete
  157. The '93 Finals were fantastic

    ReplyDelete
  158. Yes, it was the perfect moment.

    ReplyDelete

  162. Charismatic eNegro Jef VinsonFebruary 14, 2015 at 6:41 PM

This is where that gets crazy:

Jordan plays it changes the seeding for the playoffs. The Knicks were still strong, as were the Heat, Magic and Pacers. What if that Magic squad meet the Bulls squad early?

    ReplyDelete
  163. Could be, but looking at Scottie and Penny I think they both still ball. They could rotate heavily.

    ReplyDelete
  164. Am I the only one who isn't that into Lucha Underground? The matches are good but the filmed storyline segments do nothing for me. Bad acting, corny writing and stupid music cues, even though they logically move the stories forward. It's certainly an original concept but I just don't enjoy it.
