Good evening.
ReplyDeleteSo finally started getting checks from Job #2, even with an extra $1600 a month this wedding is still going to take more than a year to pay off. Fucking jesus.
ReplyDelete"LOL, send out fuckin' Goldust!"
ReplyDeleteJesus is a hairy guy.
ReplyDeleteDid any Boriqua turn in to anything?
ReplyDeleteThe one got turned into a cashmere sweater, that's for sure.
ReplyDeleteSavio into the most disappointing surprise opponent ever.
ReplyDeleteWatched it at least a dozen times. It never gets old
ReplyDeleteRoad Warrior Animal has that crown.
ReplyDelete*insert joke about most famous Peurto Rican in the unemployment line*
ReplyDeleteSavio at No Way Out of Texas is hard to beat. The month before WrestleMania 14...with WWF on the rise. Road Warrior Animal was surprise opponent in the dying days of WCW when no one cared anyways.
ReplyDeleteI would have to give the duke to BY GOD THAT'S ROAD WARRIOR ANIMAL!, yes.
ReplyDeleteNah. Wcw was toast at that point. People were expecting something awesome for no Shawn at no way out
ReplyDeleteYeah by that time anyone who felt let down because they expected WCW to deliver a good surprise deserved a lot worse than watching Road Warrior Animal wrestle.
ReplyDeleteWorking on an Attitude Era skin for TEW13, based on the mid-90s style New Generation skin. What was the most popular wrestling website back in the late 90s?
ReplyDeleteI thought there was some really funny shit on Wrestling Uncensored.
ReplyDeleteI finished that SNME which means Survivor Series 1992 and Rumble 1993 would be next but I watched both of those shows within the last few weeks so I can skip them. Woo!
ReplyDelete1wrestling was up there I think.
ReplyDeleteScoops, 1wrestling, 411 for me since it was free
ReplyDeleteGoddammit Vince, that's Savio! That's the only one you should be able to tell apart!
ReplyDeleteFreakin' Al Issacs, man.
ReplyDeleteThe fuck? Did he just win off a backbreaker?
ReplyDeleteYeah to be honest I never went outside of 411 much at that time, in that period one website putting up all the news in a text only running feed like 411 was so much more convenient than sites with photos and pop ups like scoops, 1 wrestling, and OO
ReplyDeleteFlag match with pin falls? Than what's the point?
ReplyDeleteHaha, the neon archway lights are all burnt out on this ep of Raw.
ReplyDeleteI don't like the NG skin that match. WCW is under represented. I LOVE the old school skin.
ReplyDeleteSteiners vs Money Inc. This should be good.
ReplyDeleteWow Wilkes was a corny promo.
ReplyDelete411 seems to be the only one whose old layout from back then i can actually see on the Internet archive, so I'll go with that, I suppose.
ReplyDeleteNevermind, it's just IRS vs Scott.
ReplyDeleteI love the NG Skin for the color scheme and the Sunny loading screen.
ReplyDeleteScott's boots have to be seen to believed in this match. They are these short white boots with brown trim around the bottom. Might be the ugliest boots of all time.
ReplyDeleteVader's slide into irrelevance was so gradual yet fast I didn't even realize he hasn't been around.
ReplyDeleteRajah?
ReplyDeleteSteiners had some shitty fashion choices in the 90's.
ReplyDeleteTheir gear was always fantastic. Random neon always gets a thumb up from me.
ReplyDeleteI'm a man of simpler tastes who only demands a little order. Steiners were always pure chaos.
ReplyDeleteFucking casual.
ReplyDeleteScott was usually a good white boot wearer, even if he did opt for black soles on them. I never liked that the WWF put them both in Michigan yellow boots. Rick's odd boots were part of his character.
ReplyDeleteWhat's up
ReplyDeleteScott/IRS was a decent little match.
ReplyDeleteCommon sense should dictate a tag team flag match should be under tornado rules....
ReplyDeleteWrestleline, obviously
ReplyDeletelol at a Beverly Brothers face turn. I had no memory of this.
ReplyDeleteI still think menace is my favorite hood movie due to the awesomeness of O-Dog but man does Juice take me back to a certain time in my life and that really is cool. Love that movie. Such a great treat to come and just happen to find that on. One cool part about just ordering every channel.
ReplyDeleteOvie with a good move to score again. Caps up 2-0 against the Jets.
ReplyDeleteBig Vito!!! I always love seeing jobbers from this era who ended up being semi decent names in the MNW era.
ReplyDeleteScoops?
ReplyDeleteLol. Like Vader's shimmying his fat ass up a pole.
ReplyDeleteI just realized I've been calling Hassan Whiteside Whitehead all day.
ReplyDeletePlayed Majora's Mask 3D for an hour or so today. So far, so good.
ReplyDeleteHis Trooper promos were somehow even worse.
ReplyDeleteHahaha. Bill Simmons said this on a Grantland trade article.
ReplyDelete"Simmons: I am making this point for the second time this week: Dragic was the fourth-best guard in basketball last season. I voted him second-team All-NBA. There were legitimate reasons why his numbers dropped this year that had nothing to do with him and everything to do with the bizarre but lovable roster that Phoenix slapped together. Miami becomes a title contender if it can get him without touching its top four … at least until we remember that Dwyane Wade couldn’t play 38 MPG for four straight rounds even if Anthony Bosch, Brian McNamee and Ivan Drago’s trainer were training him. But we won’t remember that until, like, late April, right?"
Simmons suggested Miami was a title contender if the pieces fit and Wade was healthy. Even I didn't go that far. They MIGHT win the East if things go right, but winning the title? Really? Simmons got a bit too excited about that scenario.
I'll still be shocked if they win a playoff series.
ReplyDeleteOh my god, that video was the greatest thing in the history of ever, I'm dying in my cubicle
ReplyDeleteMaybe not this year if they need some time to figure it out, but Miami is definitely good if it works out.
ReplyDeleteAbout KG going back to Minny.
Goldsberry: Man. Anthony Bennett is going to hate practice all of a sudden.
lololol so true. Forgot Bennett was on the Wolves.
Who knew Luna Vachon was so ahead of her time with the shaved side of the head look?
ReplyDeleteTo be fair, you're a contender if you make the Finals and the East is weaker than a RAW no-contest finish
ReplyDeleteHe's unstoppable right now. And he has a full head of hair!
ReplyDeleteMuhammad Hassan
ReplyDeleteShoot Interview poll is up
ReplyDeletehttp://vote.pollcode.com/77163111
True. It's not like they would have trouble with Kane and the Big Show like Reigns.
ReplyDeleteThat happened?
ReplyDeleteMeh choices.
ReplyDeleteYeah, there's some changes to be aware of, like the bank location change.
ReplyDeleteLOL at Miami being a title contender.
ReplyDeleteI never played the original so it's all fresh for me.
ReplyDelete1 reason I don't trust Enes Kanter
ReplyDeletehttps://twitter.com/Enes_Kanter/status/247165018053943296/photo/1
Yeah. NBA players shouldn't be doing that and risking their careers.
Luna: "I am a bandit from the untamed future. A place that was before and will be again."
ReplyDeleteO...k then.
my network feed's suddenly become incredibly choppy. Did Yamaguchi-San show up?
ReplyDeleteEverybody gets a little too excited sometimes.
ReplyDeleteBut I absolutely want to see Miami vs. Cleveland in round 1. Make it happen Silver!
Patriot's a sore loser.
ReplyDeleteCan't believe I forgot about the Sherri/Luna tear each other's clothes off angle.
ReplyDeleteShould have cheated.
ReplyDeleteDragic
ReplyDeleteWade
Deng
Bosh
Whiteside
Nice starting lineup but with McRoberts and Chalmers as your top bench options, you can forget it.
The original card for summerslam had Sherri & Tatanka vs. Bam Bam & Luna scheduled.
ReplyDeletetime for HIAC. this should be fun.
ReplyDeleteScotty 2 Hotty vs The Godfather!
ReplyDeleteIf Bryan is going to be the face of smackdown and the show is really going to be built around him, his gear and merch should change so blue is the primary accent colour.
ReplyDeleteHey pal I heard Chalmers is available...
ReplyDeleteThere was also a singles match scheduled between Marty Jannetty & Rick Martel before they brought in Ludvig Borga.
ReplyDeleteWas Online Onslaught considered a big thing? They were my go-to site for quite awhile. Don't even know if they're still going.
ReplyDeleteI voted New Jack.
ReplyDeleteOh fuck, Friar Ferguson.
ReplyDeleteI noticed last year he was greying. This concerns me. Russians don't live very long, so I hope he doesn't die on the ice or something from vodka overdose.
ReplyDeleteThat one is a classic, as is the Brickhouse Brown shoot.
ReplyDeletenWo Shawn tights. Sweet!
ReplyDeleteYeah, they came down to help Money Inc beat down the Steiners but heel mis-communication ensues. They argue and the BB stare them down. No idea if it went anywhere.
ReplyDelete-6 right now...supposed to get to -17...with wind chills that might hit -40. What in the fuck?
ReplyDeletelove how Shawn's not his usual exuberant/cocky self in his entrance, and looking kinda worried about the match
ReplyDeleteCrowd is hot for Rybacks entrance...they come back from commercial and he's facing Kane complete with jobber entrance for him and the crowd is comatose.
ReplyDeleteKane is the ultimate heat killer.
I suppose I'll suffer some Smackdown
ReplyDeleteHey look Ryback dispatched Kane easier than Bryan and Reigns did
ReplyDeleteIt's great that Ryback is allowed to get a clean win over Kane, but Bryan and Reigns are not.
ReplyDeleteNever thought I'd see the day where an episode of Raw was centered around the Beverly Brothers but there it was.
ReplyDeleteI just realized Ambrose is wearing a Member's Only jacket.
ReplyDeleteThere is a guy in the second row in a like green t-shirt and a woman behind him in a black and white checkered shirt. They are really bringing some "High Energy" to the show.
ReplyDeleteThese Raws are fun to watch. They go by super fast.
ReplyDeleteMore Mad Max stuff...
ReplyDeleteDean actually putting over the title? Get ready for non-title jobs!
ReplyDeleteMother Nature's havin' fun out there MAGGLE
ReplyDeleteDid they just say there's honor in the IC title?!?!?!
ReplyDeleteSteve Austin is hardly one of the great IC champions.
ReplyDeleteIn fact he'd definitely be in the bottom 3rd.
Never saw that finish before.
ReplyDeleteDistraction job to R-Truth! Does that make him 5-19, now?
ReplyDeleteAnnnnnd Barrett does the J O B
ReplyDeleteTo R-Truth
Matthew Perry can't NOT be Chandler.
ReplyDeleteHe is neither handsome, strong, nor brave, and he doesn't always get his man.
ReplyDeletegoddamn, HIAC 1 is fucking incredible. been years since I watched this.
ReplyDeleteLOL!
ReplyDeleteThese writers are absolute hot steaming shit. Once again it's a roll-up so Wade can instantly react to the loss as opposed to R-Truth hitting his finisher to make this win seem legit.
Jets are melting down. Caps on PP, delayed penalty on Jets, they stop playing, Backstrom shoots and scores. PP again because of delayed, and then Byfuglien fouls Ovie for a 2 man advantage.
ReplyDeleteThis Luna promo is absolutely bat shit.
ReplyDeleteOMG! Jets kill off 30 seconds of 2 man, then they get a 5th man on ice during a 4 vs 1 entry WHILE in the PP. Backstrom scores an easy one for 4-1 lead with ANOTHER PP for the Caps.
ReplyDeleteCaps are 4/4 on the PP tonight. I sense 50 wings tonight night!
ReplyDeleteJohn Cena = 4 time US Champion?
ReplyDeleteWith 10 years between reigns?
Oh my fucking god! This team has been owned by Washington for years now. It's getting to the point of ridiculous. Not to mention they've been playing half the season on the PK for christ sake.
ReplyDeleteSo Rusev has brought out Cena's evil side? Wasn't that Kane's goal a while ago?
ReplyDeleteI think we may have just a little reversal of opinion on this game, but it's at least cool to see another hockey fan on here.
ReplyDeleteI remember the 1st season as the Jets they won the season series against the Caps. Probably because the hilarious in division game travel from Washington to Winnipeg. I'm glad Kane isn't there anymore, he seemed to play well against the Caps.
ReplyDelete... and Bray Wyatt's goal... and Paul Heyman's goal...
ReplyDeleteThat's pretty much been an annual Cena tradition angle for years now.
ReplyDeleteFor whatever reason... Barrett has been the designated job guy for R-Truth. He's like the only guy Truth can beat.
ReplyDeleteI'm more of a Caps bandwagoner. I wasn't watching much hockey after Gretzky retired. Then I decided this Ovie guy is pretty good after back to back Hart winners and started watching the Caps, and some NFL randomly when nothing else is on.
ReplyDeleteI'm having a tough time recalling any babyfaces less over than New Day...ever.
ReplyDeleteI remember their last year in the SE division when the Jets had to win a crucial back to back against the Caps and got fucking smoked. I was worried about this game. Washington's got a HELL of a power play, and Jets like to play most of the game 4-on-5.
ReplyDeleteI remember that back to back, because the Caps were on this insane streak during the lockout and won like 15 in a row to get back into the Playoff race. Ovie finally returned to his MVP self after like 2 years of 30 goal seasons.
ReplyDeleteI want the drugs whoever was using when they came up with and thought New Day would get over
ReplyDeleteOvie puts on a hell of a show. I've gotta appreciate him even though I honestly can't stand the guy. I've always kind of liked Backstrom & Mike Green though. Fun team to watch.
ReplyDeleteIT'S THE ASCENSION!
ReplyDeleteI love this stupid team, but I have no idea which one is Konner and which is Viktor.
ReplyDeleteThe schedule was out of control those years too. It seemed like Washington and the Jets played each other 20 times a year, and it would always be after long road trips for both teams.
ReplyDeleteWatching all of Ronda Rousey's fights online. Nobody has had an answer for her judo throws yet. Superior upper body strength and technique. Whoever beats her will need to find a counter for that. She looked vulnerable in her 3 rounder with Tate but her repeated throws just wore her opponent down. That said, so far she's been a beast.
ReplyDeleteAn HGH beast!
ReplyDeleteBig ones Konner.
ReplyDeleteYou think so? I guess you never know these days. I haven't heard any rumblings suggesting that's the case.
ReplyDeleteI have no idea. But it'd be funny and a HUGE blow to UFC if even she was on it.
ReplyDeleteI thought I saw ESPN air some UFC press conference addressing the PED use during lunch, but I don't know what was said.
Dana White Promises UFC Drug Problem 'Will Get Worse Before It Gets Better'
ReplyDeleteWell points for honesty.
Ok what is New Day supposed to actually? I don't watch too much of the current stuff, I have no clue what their deal is other than they're a stable b/c they're all black?
ReplyDeleteInspector Clouseau is on the case, Slaughter with his flashlight checking under the ring.
ReplyDeleteI think that statement could apply to any sport these days. I would be surprised if there was any sport that wasn't rampant with drug doping.
ReplyDeleteI think they are preaching wrestlers focusing on positive things in life.
ReplyDeleteKind of hard to concentrate on smackdown with all my idiot upstairs neigbours banging on each others walls.
ReplyDeleteRat Man is Konner.
ReplyDeleteFIFY
It's got Vince's fingerprints all over it.
ReplyDeleteThey chant New Day over and over and clap their hands together and maybe 25 people in the crowd join along in what used to be a guaranteed cheap crowd interaction spot.
If he actually said that, kudos. Not sure if it'll hurt the sport or not, but since they are subject to athletic commissions, it could be bad.
ReplyDeleteFinished s2 ep 4 of Broadcurch. It's picking up nicely, and the ending was kind of a mindfuck.
ReplyDeleteYell out, "Go Around!" to confuse them.
ReplyDeleteRoman Reigns vs Luke Harper, wonder if Luke will bring anything extra outta this slug?
ReplyDeleteHunter with one Hell of a puffy shirt.
ReplyDeleteIt WAS nice in the Muscle and Fitness interview that Vince claimed Taker as his favorite, and his first reason was loyalty.
ReplyDelete"God damn Jets.."
ReplyDeleteSo it's Makin' A Difference Fatu?
ReplyDeleteSo what happened was, Xavier Woods recruited Kofi and Big E talking about how they were being held back and making it kind of a racial thing. They worked heel on TV for about a week and were working heel on house shows for a couple weeks after that.
ReplyDeleteThen Ferguson happened.
So wherever they were going with that, they scrapped it basically from the moment that made the news. They took them off TV and repackaged them as happy positive negroes who are turning the page on history and being happy because it's a new day.
I stil lwant to know where they were going with the original angle, it had to be better than this.
That's some 1994 shit right there.
ReplyDeleteDoes this idiot bite his lip/tongue every other match now?
ReplyDeleteVince calling Hunter Triple H...if I'm not mistaken, this would be the first PPV with that nickname. Don't remember it at SummerSlam or Ground Zero.
ReplyDeleteTriple H was what he was called behind the scenes almost from day one.
ReplyDeleteHis no-selling would make Hawk proud
ReplyDeleteYeah, I mean on camera.
ReplyDeleteLynching Undertaker?
ReplyDeleteCouldn't have been worse than this
ReplyDeleteShockingly, this Beverly Brothers face run isn't setting the world on fire.
ReplyDeleteHe'll always be Terra Ryzin to me.
ReplyDeleteThis place is poppin' tonight.
ReplyDeleteI bought it, but I was five at the time lol.
ReplyDeleteThe original angle sounds like some half cooked NOD recycle. Still better than what they ended up doing. They should have realized they don't have the pop culture relevance anymore for their storylines to mean anything in relations to current events.
ReplyDeleteOnly think I remember about the Beverly Brothers is they gave some jobber the Shaker Heights spike that nearly killed the poor jerk
ReplyDeleteThis happened? I had no idea.
ReplyDeleteGotta floss, Roman!
ReplyDeleteSomething something MAGGLE something something.
ReplyDeleteDamn one of the Animal Control stoners on Parks & Rec dropped dead today. Apparently he was one of the writers/execs on the show too?
ReplyDeleteOnly 5 days till retirement no less.
"Harris Wittels, an executive producer from the popular sitcom “Parks and Recreation,” has died at 30."
ReplyDeleteJust what I want to see Big Show vs. Rowan
ReplyDeletehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hn701jXWtkE A hearty fuck you to those that made me realize how much I love this song, thus getting it stuck in my head for 5 days lol
ReplyDeleteRight after WM 9. They literally built the entire episode around them, then next week they jobbed to Money Inc.
ReplyDeleteJR's lonely crusade against "idiots" saying they "know how to fall" continues.
ReplyDeleteI feel bad for Rowan, he's up there with New Day as unbelievably unover babyfaces.
ReplyDeleteBeau bailed on the promotion shortly after. Blake turned back stuck around for a while as a sad low card heel, but he was gone too by summerslam.
ReplyDeleteThe Rangers scoring a pair of quick goals when trailing for second straight game!
ReplyDeleteThe E always delivers.
ReplyDeleteSo did Hogan make ANY WWF appearances between 9 and KotR?
ReplyDeleteHas there been anything worth listening to in the podcast world lately?
ReplyDeleteI mean, given that she's an Olympic medalist in judo it's unlikely anyone's going to be better than her at that any time soon.
ReplyDeleteThe path to beating her is somewhat clear, strike with her, avoid clinches like the plague, work off your back and regain/hold guard. Has yet to be executed or even really tried. I think Miesha clinched with her 7-8 times in their UFC fight and wound up on her ass every single time. It's unclear as to whether she expected any different.
Geez, that's really messed up. Constantly did cameos on the show. Saw like 500 Phish concerts.
ReplyDeleteHouse show in Albany.
ReplyDeleteHim and Beefcake over Money Inc.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9CY2XtuxoEI
ReplyDeleteI prefer this.
Sad. Loved Humblebrag.
ReplyDeleteJean-Pierre Levasque to me.
ReplyDeletePretty great in ring promo from Bret here. Seems to be setting up a Bret/Luger feud. Did they ever square off before Luger's face turn?
ReplyDeleteCat and Ronda passed their pre-fight drug tests which given the current state of the UFC is good news I guess.
ReplyDeleteThe long and short of it is that they're going to test guys out of competition and up the amount of guys who are getting randomly tested. It's unclear as to how cooperative the state commissions are going to be but this is the plan and if Nevada plays ball everyone else will fall into line sooner or later.
The internet MMA community expects a whole bunch of guys to suddenly retire or spontaneously blow out an ACL so they can get a year to get clean. They also expect Brock not to come back even though he's never failed a test in the NFL, NCAA, UFC, or anywhere else I'm aware of.
House shows, not TV though I don't think.
ReplyDeleteCrowd pops pretty huge when Bret briefly mentions a future match with Hogan.
ReplyDeleteI'm watching the 6/24/96 edition of Nitro and it's from Charlotte, North Carolina. The crowd chanted "We Want Flair" all night but the only time he was on TV was for an interview backstage. That's so WCW.
ReplyDeleteMSG show in March 1993
ReplyDeleteBret Hart & Mr. Perfect Def. (Pin )Lex Luger & Razor Ramon
I liked them as the Destruction Crew in the AWA. Thought they had real potential. Wayne Bloom was pretty much out of the business by the mid 90s and Mike Enos' claim to fame was being in the match Scott Hall interrupted on Nitro.
ReplyDeleteWhew...I was afraid they weren't going to keep Big Show strong
ReplyDeleteBrother, quitting in a sharpshooter by a tiny Canadian ain't in the cards.
ReplyDeleteJets FA wish list?
ReplyDeleteThat don't work for me, brother.
ReplyDeleteDoes a fancam of that match exist anywhere?
ReplyDelete
