  1. Hi everybody.

You know what irks me about All American Boys? The smartass who produced this song puts in a guitar solo in it mere seconds after they eloquently and skillfully sing that they don't like Heavy Metal nor do they like Rock N Roll. Wise asses.

  3. I'm surprised if took Samoa Joe so long to finally ditch TNA. Suppose he saw how well AJ Styles was doing in Japan and RoH and finally had enough. I think he'd be a pretty good addition to Lucha Underground too.

TNA really need to develop some new talent again anyway, and hadn't been pushing Joe as a main eventer in ages, so the loss probably sounds worse than it really is for them at the moment. Hopefully they can find someone and use them as well as they have used EC3.

    HI DR. NICK!

  5. Art "AllAmericanBoy" VandelayFebruary 17, 2015 at 5:26 PM

Joe splitting sounds like a best for both parties type deal.

    ReplyDelete
  6. So what? I'll fucking tell you so what. It's the best single season record every that's fucking what. Cunts. Fans are such cunts.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Art "AllAmericanBoy" VandelayFebruary 17, 2015 at 5:27 PM

    116 wins don't buy a championship.

    Baseball banter.

    ReplyDelete
  8. I wish more towers had fallen on those asshole fans.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Art "AllAmericanBoy" VandelayFebruary 17, 2015 at 5:28 PM

I thought this is the one avatar you vowed not to use?

    ReplyDelete
  10. No I refuse to use Bitch Mode, because that guy has less rushing yards than our quarterback

    ReplyDelete
  11. I sat down to watch part of Raw last night, and realized I had no desire to do so. I haven't been this tuned out of the product in a long time. WM is coming up and none of the match ups do anything for me. Blah.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Mel Brooks said in a recent interview that there is no way he'd be able to make Blazing Saddles nowadays. That got me to thinking about which television shows would never see the light of day (at least in the form we know and love them as) in 2015. All in the Family is definitely one, Hogan's Heroes is probably another, and I'm inclined to put Married with Children up there too. Anything else?

    ReplyDelete
  13. Art "AllAmericanBoy" VandelayFebruary 17, 2015 at 5:31 PM

I gotta tell you after a busy weekend of depravity and being sociable it's been awesome to just lay around all day in a completely unpresentable state of disrepair and watch an incredible amount of wrestling.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Dirty Harry movies.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Simpsons. Homer strangling his kid? No chance. In Living Color.

    ReplyDelete
  16. I've started watching first few early episodes of Smackdown that are up on the network. Jericho and Shamrock were having a fun little feud, shame that Ken left so suddenly.

Michael Cole is so tough to listen to though, getting sick of hearing "but wait a minute" every time something occurs.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Half the jokes in a milquetoast comedy like Seinfeld wouldn't be on TV today. Hurray for liberalism, making sure the terrible words don't bring us down.

    ReplyDelete
  18. The sad is part is that Cole has improved leaps and bounds since then...if only they could get Vince out of his earpiece.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Art "AllAmericanBoy" VandelayFebruary 17, 2015 at 5:33 PM

What do Milk and Toast have to do with Seinfeld?

    ReplyDelete
  20. Seinfeld, Family Guy (the good years), caddy shack, and probably anything else thats good...GO AMERICA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  21. Birth of nation, at least this thing not existing would be a good thing.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I'm so fucking hungry right now dude

    ReplyDelete
  23. Wouldn't the bible thumpers be against terrible words?

    ReplyDelete
  24. Yup, someone gets a ring every year. No one as won 116 and you have to go back to Babe Ruth to get a better win %.

    ReplyDelete
  25. The WWE network continues to run awfully for I

    ReplyDelete
  26. I just used an Enteron.

    I'm also still hungry.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Art "AllAmericanBoy" VandelayFebruary 17, 2015 at 5:36 PM

That reminds me of Heyman's speech after Lesnar broke the streak.

"There have been legendSSSSS, IconSSSSSS, ChampionSSSSSS, Hall of FamerSSSSSSSS but only ONE in 21-1"

    ReplyDelete
  28. Honestly milquetoast is one of my favorite words and I don't really understand exactly what it means lol

    ReplyDelete
  29. The first ten years of SNL?

    ReplyDelete
  30. Seems like everyone is against entertainment because its an easy to work the humanoids and its a cheap pop for politicians. WHAT ARE YOU SOME KIND OF MISOGYNIST THAT THINKS A POWERFUL WOMEN IS BOSSY lol what???

    ReplyDelete
  31. He keeps fucking pausing on me every 2 minutes. Taking me forever to get through this msg show

    ReplyDelete
  32. Art "AllAmericanBoy" VandelayFebruary 17, 2015 at 5:39 PM

Really? Mine has run flawlessly today. I'm taking up all the good network and leaving with crap!

    ReplyDelete
  33. That's just the Tom Zenk vs SD Jones match.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Working in the words business it's stunning how much worse the liberal side of the coin is about this compared to the conservatives. They didn't want tits on TV, that I can at least grasp.

Banning words for any reason to me will always be just short of Nazi Germany. I need words, they're my living.

    ReplyDelete
  35. So Jimmy Hart comes out with Earthquake wearing a natural disasters jacket and I'm like huh, I think this predates that shit by awhile. Tugboat still has to tell everyone where to send the letters have summerslam. And then Tugboat comes out and wrestles fucking Pez Whatley. So whats up with Jimmys jacket and why the fuck is Pez Whatley working a wwe show in 1990?

    ReplyDelete
  36. PS3 Network users: my "Continue Watching" list won't update with new things I've started, nor will it eliminate shows I've already watched through. Anyone else have this problem?

    ReplyDelete
  37. Art "AllAmericanBoy" VandelayFebruary 17, 2015 at 5:40 PM

I need tits they're my (reason for) living.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Yeah, really frustrating that his delivery has come on so much, only for him to be fed such absolute garbage to say. I'm resigned to Vince being in the commentators' ears until he passes away...

    ReplyDelete
  39. quit hogging up all my bandwith you sonuvabitch!

    ReplyDelete
  40. Art "AllAmericanBoy" VandelayFebruary 17, 2015 at 5:41 PM

They'd used the Natural Disaster name loosely for Earthquake around then. His team at Survivor Series 1990 is named The Natural Disasters too.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Why wouldn't liberals focus on that stuff? Every other important problem is already solved.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Just read a story that the Oklahoma House Common Education Committee just approved a bill that would ban the A.P. U.S. History Course in the state. The author of the bill claims that the course focuses too much on "what is bad about America" and eliminates the concept of "American exceptionalism" Another Oklahoman state legislator is exploring the idea that ALL AP courses should be banned in Oklahoma by qualifying them as a part of Common Core...which the state has already banned.

I guess if I wanted to raise a family of dumbasses, I know where to go.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Exactly the same. I have the internet speed, bandwith etc it just runs like shit.

    ReplyDelete
  44. IDIOTS!

This is like the 1964-1985 dictatorship in Brazil.

    ReplyDelete
  45. If you send your kids to a public school you get what you deserve I guess.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Saw that, fucking insane. If the idiots all crying over "common core" actually read the fucking thing, there'd be nothing to complain about

    ReplyDelete
  47. Honestly, only a total fucking douchbag takes AP classes anyways. I went to a good high school and took AP classes and my college still made me take their version because they didn't give a fuck. So there is that too.

    ReplyDelete
  48. True enough. It is kind of nice that no matter how many attacks we have in this country that whole Muslim terrorism thing is over with.

What's that? All the attacks in the last 6 years have been done my Muslims? Coincidence. Coincidence is a good word. Use it while you're still allowed.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Art "AllAmericanBoy" VandelayFebruary 17, 2015 at 5:44 PM

Jericho was hilarious in that feud with Shamrock.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Stranger in the AlpsFebruary 17, 2015 at 5:44 PM

    What's up, fuckers?

    I'm sorry. What's up, SUCKERS?

    ReplyDelete
  51. Art "AllAmericanBoy" VandelayFebruary 17, 2015 at 5:45 PM

Did you just call yourself a fucking douchebag? BOTCH!!!

    ReplyDelete
  52. Pez Whatley? Is he a stand alone fruit?

    ReplyDelete
  53. Art Vandelay is hogging up all the bandwith. He just told me below he's running the network on like twenty devices at the same time! I say we ping his ass

    ReplyDelete
  54. Art "AllAmericanBoy" VandelayFebruary 17, 2015 at 5:45 PM

    He's an Anti-Dentite.

    ReplyDelete
  55. (Douchebag raising hand)Ended up with a semester's worth of credits off AP and that was like 15 years ago when my pos HS barely had any to choose from

    ReplyDelete
  56. Art "AllAmericanBoy" VandelayFebruary 17, 2015 at 5:46 PM

I HAVE THE POWAH! This SNME from April 1991 isn't gonna watch itself homeboy and I'm using the ghetto surround sound of just surrounding myself with multiple devices playing the show.

    ReplyDelete
  57. If they kept that brilliant show at two hours and didn't force them to have so many guests I would have have kept my sirius sub.

    ReplyDelete
  58. I always try to remember that they had 5 more years than they should have anyway. Satellite should be a thing that only existed for the 00's.

    ReplyDelete
  59. (also was a douchebag who took them) but my college made me just do the classes again. It was all math stuff so maybe that something to do with it but I'd probably just laugh at my kid if they told me they wanted to take an AP class.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Yes those classes were so stupid. They got me nothing extra in life and just was extra work to do when I was a senior in high school. Total scam imo

    ReplyDelete
  61. Bout 2 watch Perfect v Warrior from march of 1990. This could be really good or could just suck. I'll give you the verdict.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Art "AllAmericanBoy" VandelayFebruary 17, 2015 at 5:49 PM

I never had the grades to take them but extra work sounds like an uberpass anyways.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Eh, every college is different too. Mine ended up giving 6 credits for Calculus. I'm on the AP train, I don't think I'd go overboard pushing them, but especially for borderline kids, let them take an AP in their favorite subject to get a feel for the college workload

    ReplyDelete
  64. I did listen to the clip of Larry King killing Opie today. That was funny. I bailed on the Opie and Jim by like October but I still do enjoy TACS, espically when he has a good guest like Jimmy or Colin.

    ReplyDelete
  65. '97 continues at 8 eastern with SummerSlam...annnnnybody?

    ReplyDelete
  66. So my schedule got changed around, I'm now going to spring training in beautiful Peoria, AZ on the 20th of March. I'm so stoked to lay around in a grass field all day and watch Perfectly Acceptable Baseball.

    ReplyDelete
  67. I gave up on TACS, I like *radio* and that show was way too visual/Anthony staring at himself in the screen for me

And really, unless he has Jimmy on to keep hm on track he just babbles worse than he ever did on LftC

    ReplyDelete
  68. Hogan did not sabotage Warrior's reign. Hogan was shooting movies (namely Suburban Commando). Two things happened:

    1) House show business tanked with Warrior on top
    AND
    2) Hogan wasn't getting a lot of movie offers

So when #1 happens and Vince comes to Hogan and asks him to return, in light of #2 he does. Wouldn't you? It's not Hogan's fault that Warrior didn't light the world on fire as champion and Vince came back to him. Hogan put the guy over harder than any person he ever did at that point.

    ReplyDelete
  69. Oh they totally tried to play it like you were going to have do so much hardwork in college lol. I took AP calculus and it was like more homework then any class I took in college, including the calc course my school made me take immediately as I got there. Total rip off and honestly, the kids in those classes should be fucking bullied ruthlessly.

    ReplyDelete
  70. I've been going through 90/91, but I'm down for The Summerslam. It's a sentimental favourite. 1997 was the peak of my wrestling fandom.

    ReplyDelete
  71. The one I just watched had Jericho taunting Shamrock from inside a cage, only for him to start screaming for "Harold" to raise it up when Shamrock started bending the bars. Absolute gold.

    ReplyDelete
  72. Torture Rack, BearHug, Powerslam, Piledriver, Loaded Forearm.

    ReplyDelete
  73. I go away for the weekend to some place off the grid and come back to find out that 66% of the questions Scott posts while I was gone are about Hogan. I feel like I was personally trolled!

With that said, I've argued time and time again here that Hogan didn't want to "pass the torch" in 1993 because his future was so murky.

I don't blame Hogan for not wanting to put Bret over. Neither No Holds Bared or Suburban Commando made a ton of dough at the box office. If the best offers he was getting was crap like Mr. Nanny, even as delusional as he is he had to be nervous that his movie career wouldn't pan out. He was turning 40 in 1993, so he still had plenty of wrestling years left to make money.

He already did what Vince asked and put Warrior over, and that was a bust. And Bret wasn't as big or flashy as Warrior was. Hogan likely saw WCW as an option -- he was already filming Thunder in Paradise in mid 1993 anyway and that was a Turner project so irons were in the fire -- so he didn't want to put Bret over and make himself look bad before arriving in WCW as a conquering champion. A screwjob loss to a big fat monster like Yokozuna made him look better on the way out than being out-wrestled by new babyface torchbearer Bret Hart.

Yeah, it would've been "Best for Business" to have Bret beat Hogan to make a clean transition. But it really wasn't in Hogan's best interest and Vince surely wasn't going to pay Hogan a lot of cash to lay down for Bret because he didn't have it at the time. Plus, Vince might've been holding out hope that Hogan would come back and didn't want to insult him or make Hogan look bad either. After all, the Warrior "passing of the torch" didn't work, and the only thing that seemed to draw was Hogan -- hence why he tried to make Luger into Hogan 2.0

    ReplyDelete
  74. You're probably outside Titan Towers tampering with all the cables you bastard!

    ReplyDelete
  75. Personal note, I was in attendance for this event, which contained the biggest historic event I've ever seen live - even though nobody knew what was going on and why Austin had won with such an awful rollup.

    ReplyDelete
  76. The thing I don't understand about this Big Show/Kane stuff is that WWF has plenty of other guys who can easily fill their roles and actually produce good results and get the crowd to care. Why not Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper instead? Luke Harper is already established as Authority muscle, so he can fight Reigns, and I need not mention Bray Wyatt's history with Bryan. Easy stuff, but noooo, we gotta keep Bray fresh for the guy who can barely walk upright.

    ReplyDelete
  77. I'll pass but back from Ground Zero

    ReplyDelete
  78. Art "AllAmericanBoy" VandelayFebruary 17, 2015 at 5:54 PM

Oh that son of a bitch Jobber put a hex on my Network now it's buffering a bunch! UNDO IT.

    ReplyDelete
  79. I had to look up what this version of AP even means (my life is tortured by a different definition)

That about tells you exactly how focused I was in high school lol

    ReplyDelete
  80. hahahaha and now mine is working perfectly. Vince McMahon you're the greatest weightlifter of all time pal!

    ReplyDelete
  81. Art "AllAmericanBoy" VandelayFebruary 17, 2015 at 5:54 PM

    Advanced Placement right?

    ReplyDelete
  82. IDK about that.. There weren't any credible heels for Warrior to feud with. Then when the new big Heel came on the scene, Earthquake, he was programmed against Hogan.

    ReplyDelete
  83. How awesome was the Mick cage dive? Always loved that moment of him ditching the Mankind mask and gimmick and being himself as Mick Foley

    ReplyDelete
  84. I have no problem with how they were used last night. It wasn't about them at all; however, I still want them off of my tv.

    ReplyDelete
  85. I don't think douchebag is the correct term. I took AP Classes at a good school and thought it was for a good cause.

    ReplyDelete
  86. Yeah, that's what you guys seem to be talking about, I don't think my high school even did this, our version was Running Start which I did junior and senior year which was basically, instead of going to high school we went to the local community college and got our diploma's and Associate's at the same time without really any more school work involved

    ReplyDelete
  87. One of my favourite main event finishes. Shawn's "ohhh shit" look after hitting Taker with the chair is so great.

    ReplyDelete
  88. Art "AllAmericanBoy" VandelayFebruary 17, 2015 at 5:56 PM

WTH? I didn't know they ran a fireball angle with Hogan and Slaughter after Mania 7.

    ReplyDelete
  89. It was pretty cool. Top dive ever, though, hmmm....either that or what turned out to be the last event I'd see at that arena, Rollins diving off an entranceway at Extreme Rules 2014.

    ReplyDelete
  90. If I could somehow go back to school on a 21 jump street type deep cover op I'd fucking beat the shit out of those kids. Can't believe I took two of them. Perhaps the biggest regret of my high school years. To make matters even worse I signed up for them with NO PARENTAL FORCE. That was my own call. I think the hot chicks were in it but my parents didn't have that kind of cash anyways so I don't know what I was thinking.

    ReplyDelete
  91. That feud MUST CONTINUE to the Match Made in HELLLLLLLL

    ReplyDelete
  92. According to Wiki, Hart was also saying he'd signed Andre to tag with Quake before revealing Typhoon. So maybe that was already the assumed name of Quake's future team.

    ReplyDelete
  93. I took AP Government my senior year and somehow ended up with a 110 lol. I didn't even pass the AP test!

    ReplyDelete
  94. It's so close to Associated Press that I will be thinking of this from now on. Thanks/fuck you

    ReplyDelete
  95. You're lucky, the only PPV I've ever seen in attendance was In Your House IV in Oct/95. Fucking first ever PPV in Canada and no Bret

    ReplyDelete
  96. SummerSlam '97, King of the Ring 2001, Extreme Rules 2014 is my personal live PPV count.

    ReplyDelete
  97. Art "AllAmericanBoy" VandelayFebruary 17, 2015 at 5:59 PM

Ouch that was a dawwwwwwwg of a PPV.

    ReplyDelete
  98. Even as a kid I knew it was total crap.

    ReplyDelete
  99. lol, Ultimate Warrior's cap is such a non-sequitur. Not the supposed business killer that they got so butthurt about on the Self-Destruction DVD, though.

    ReplyDelete
  100. *Canada proper that is, third PPV if you count Toronto.

    ReplyDelete
  101. Hmmm. In your House 3, World War 3 1998 and Bound for Glory 2006

    ReplyDelete
  102. We're getting together with friends tomorrow to go bowling.

So my brother and I are going bowling tonight so we can practice and make sure to kill all our other friends' asses tomorrow.

Legit lame sitcom shit going on in the Cresto house tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  103. He doesn't put them over. You'd think he'd learn from what he did in the early - 80's... Piper, Hogan, Savage.. but by the early 90's he'd felt he had to bury talent from other promotions to show that his brand was superior.

Which is counter productive. It's the equivelant of picking up a great baseball player from another team and then benching him because hes from the other team.. even though he plays for you now.

    ReplyDelete
  104. I can see the "Warrior's not supposed to be normal" viewpoint...it IS funny to be so bent out of shape over a baseball cap.

    ReplyDelete
  105. Art "AllAmericanBoy" VandelayFebruary 17, 2015 at 6:00 PM

Definitely didn't warrant a mention on a DVD. It was a weird moment that warranted no further thought or analysis.

    ReplyDelete
  106. SummerSlam '97 starts....

    ReplyDelete
  107. I was wise and took the easy AP classes. They were no harder than the standard class more or less and boosted the GPA by .5. Had upper class friends that told me what to take. My friends that took those crazy AP Classes that required them to stay up til five am studying generally ended up only knowing how to do schoolwork and were clueless on how to get jobs

    ReplyDelete
  108. But how is that Hogan's fault? Vince calls the shots -- we know that now more than ever. Vince decided to book Hogan vs. Earthquake.

    ReplyDelete
  109. Only PPV I've ever gone to was WM19, biggest historic event I've ever seen live - even though none of us knew that was going to be Austin's last match ever

    ReplyDelete
  110. The idea of a live WCW show always seemed so exotic to me. I don't think they ever made it up here.

    ReplyDelete
  111. Oh yeah, "In a Perfect World," a sadly forgotten intro package.

    ReplyDelete
  112. Wonder how many of the teachers on that show Bill raped.

    ReplyDelete
  113. "A man surrendering a boyhood dream to search...for the lost smile of youth." So dramatic, hehe.

    ReplyDelete
  114. I used to play golf all the time as a kid and in college, then after school when I couldn't just go play for free I fell out of practice. I got invited to play in a foursome with these guys who work with my gf. I spent every day between that game and the invitation playing golf lol. I killed them both. I was actually an 8 handicap when I was like 19. If I had kept it going I could be out on the course with Larry Z somewhere right now.

    ReplyDelete
  115. Art "AllAmericanBoy" VandelayFebruary 17, 2015 at 6:03 PM

Let's hope some wacky situation doesn't occur to get you guys in a pickle! You go to the bathroom and bump your head on the stall. Wake up to find you've been left in the Bowling Alley and are forced to live off discarded popcorn on the floor and bowl all night.

The next day it opens and you're a mess but you bowl a perfect 300 and impress all your friends.

You then wake up and find yourself headfirst in the toilet bowl and discover you've only been out for 5 minute. You walk home smelling of piss and failure. Bowl an 80 and are pissed that you missed NXT for this BS.

    ReplyDelete
  116. So I had a thought:

    1. Jackie Chan's son is just out of jail and probably looking for work.
    2. The lack of quality hyper-violent kung-fu children's entertainment is offensive to me.
    3. I *really* miss WMAC Masters.
    4. Let's all kick start a reboot of WMAC masters for the WWE Network!

    ReplyDelete
  117. Sweet, it's the full PPV version

    ReplyDelete
  118. ....that was tremendous

    ReplyDelete
  119. I've only been to one PPV...but I made it count.

    Wrestlemania XIV

    ReplyDelete
  120. One of the best video packages they did.

    ReplyDelete
  121. Only if Jackie Chan's son finishes off every bad guy with a quick camera cut to his bedroom eyes before the final spin kick.

    ReplyDelete
  122. Yeah, that was definitely a great one.

    ReplyDelete
  123. Hennig is doing 360 bumps out of the ring off Warrior chest chops. This is basically curt wrestling himself and warrior running around pounding his chest and the crowd is loving it.

    ReplyDelete
  124. Off topic a bit but Zanatude brought something up that got me wondering. Why DID the hogan/flair house show not do well? I always thought this was one of those wrestling urban legends like wrestlemania switching venues because of bomb threats. Beause it really doesnt make any sense. Did WWF fans just not care about flair, thats not fair. Seriously though, was that it? Or was it Vince being Vince?

    ReplyDelete
  125. No that's what Bruce Lee's Daughter is for!

    ReplyDelete
  126. I was above the entrance, right at the turn in the carpet.

    ReplyDelete
  127. Samoa Joe is out of TNA. He must've realized he could make a lot more in NJPW, ROH, and other indies. He can easily work the Del Rio schedule

    ReplyDelete
  128. I loved Jericho and Edge on the podcast talking about working with Hogan, Edge was like: "I don't care if he can only throw one punch, it's Hogan!" and Jericho's response was basically..."One punch? That's the only offense he could do? Yeah...that's all I'd need really."

When guys wrestle themselves it's almost always awesome.

    ReplyDelete
  129. I haven't seen her eyes.

    ReplyDelete
  130. It would be cool if the Network had the pre-shows up for the old PPVs.

    ReplyDelete
  131. I've been having trouble on my Roku 2. Netflix and Hulu work without a problem, but WWE network keeps hiccuping to a "loading" screen.

    ReplyDelete
  132. "Foley originally from not too far from here, on Long Island."

"So THAT'S what's wrong with him!"

    ReplyDelete
  133. I like Ode To Joy as HHH's theme

    ReplyDelete
  134. I've gotten used to it on these rewatches.

    ReplyDelete
  135. Joe returning to pwg would be the greatest.

    ReplyDelete
  136. FUCK TNA chants again.

    ReplyDelete
  137. Ok, you boys have fun, I'll be back in a few hours to maybe watch some luchas

    ReplyDelete
  138. Nothing like doing that years too late.

    ReplyDelete
  139. I'd love to hear a NFL style mic'd up of Mr Perfect calling this match. Its just one move, huge bump, repeat, with perfect getting the occasional reversal to do a move so he could tell warrior the next move to do.

    ReplyDelete
  140. Art "AllAmericanBoy" VandelayFebruary 17, 2015 at 6:10 PM

Haha Hogan drills Taker in the face with the title and the look of fear on Hogan's face when Taker no sells it is tremendous.

  141. Forgot that Lawler is a helluvan artist. Didn't he draw the Survivor Series '04 poster, too?

    BOWL over the competition!

  144. Just watched the first episode of the wire for the first time. It was ok.
Is it worth it to get sucked in and watched all the episodes?

  145. But a professional wrestler wouldn't wear a baseball hat!

    That one was a STRIKE.

  148. The Titan Sinking guy who wrote the book about '95 should do his next one on '97. Titan Rising - when the company was putting on better shows and laying track to win the war, but still getting clobbered ratings wise in the here and now.

    ReplyDelete
  149. I would say so if you have the time. It never really falls off.

    ReplyDelete
  150. Yeah its the best show ever. That first episode is killer dude. The opening scene is a fucking classic

"This is America man, you got to!"

    ReplyDelete
  151. I'm going to drink so much I'll come home RACKED.

Yuck, see this isn't even fun

Yes I would suggest you do so.

  155. Last time the classic SummerSlam logo and apron was used, right? Point, NJ!

    YOU MUST CONTINUE WATCHING!

  157. Watch it, but try not to remember how much people hype it, it's terribly overrated.

It is if you'd let down your preconceived BUMPERS of your expectations of fun!

    ReplyDelete
  160. Yeah they had a one off logo for 98 and I think 99 they went to the one they used forever

    ReplyDelete
  161. I mostly say things like that now just to check on Bonzai's "VINTAGE MARV!" response time, homey's slippin'

    ReplyDelete
  162. I've seen it all the way through 4 times and I was actually just thinking about watching it again when I finish off spartacus

    ReplyDelete
  163. I don't even....whatever goodbye you fool, see oyu later tonight

    ReplyDelete
  164. Now Vince pointing out Hunter Hearst Helmsley is also "a local, of sorts, from nearby Greenwich."

    ReplyDelete
  165. It was hilarious how they recycled the exact same entrance set for SummerSlam from 2000-07. There were a couple of slight modifications but it was mostly the same thing.

    ReplyDelete
  166. No, let him join NJPW's army.

  167. It's the last appearance of the blue bar cage too was it not? Or 2nd last. I can't remember if they used one for the triple threat at IYH Breakdown.

  168. Art "AllAmericanBoy" VandelayFebruary 17, 2015 at 6:15 PM

Make sure to stay in your LANE!

    ReplyDelete
  169. Yeah, that used the blue bars, too.

    ReplyDelete
  170. Art "AllAmericanBoy" VandelayFebruary 17, 2015 at 6:16 PM

The cage was black at Valentine's Massacre but the same style of cage.

    ReplyDelete
  171. Perfect does a clean job in the middle of the ring. Huh? I didn't see that coming TBH.

    ReplyDelete
  172. I guess I would take it instead of the over compensating giant HD bullshit but I get what you mean. Backlash had those hooks but they'd chsnge the overall visual for them.

    ReplyDelete
  173. GIS says it was the same basic thing, the bars were black and there were more of them. I guess a bridge between the two? lol

    ReplyDelete
  174. Art "AllAmericanBoy" VandelayFebruary 17, 2015 at 6:16 PM

Weird how they didn't just do Perfect/Warrior for Warrior's first SNME title match.

    ReplyDelete
  175. If you count the black bars they used it on Raw and UK PPVs a bunch of times too.

    ReplyDelete
  176. I'd call that match **, it really wasn't a match just warrior running back and forth and occasionally moving his arms and perfect taking huge bumps on EVERYTHING, and the only offense Perfect did was so he call the match lol

    ReplyDelete
  177. That would have been cool.

    ReplyDelete
  178. Hunter's hair so well conditioned here.

    ReplyDelete
  179. Art "AllAmericanBoy" VandelayFebruary 17, 2015 at 6:18 PM

Instead Hogan gets Perfect and Warrior gets Haku, the Kane of his day.

    ReplyDelete
  180. ...annnnnnnnd now Chyna tries to actually murder Mick with the door.

    ReplyDelete
  181. Don't get drunk and throw up in the ALLEY!

    ReplyDelete
  182. This WWF fan didn't care about Flair at all.

I still don't, for that matter.

    ReplyDelete
  183. I'm sure Hogan had some say in whom he was going to do business with. He also didn't help build any credible heels before he left to do business with Warrior. He crushed Savage, wouldnt work with Rude, should have let Perfect win the Rumble and not make him job to his boy Beefcake. There were things he could have to create a situation where Warrior could have succeeded but he choose not to.

  184. Art "AllAmericanBoy" VandelayFebruary 17, 2015 at 6:18 PM

That's a sickening shot from the cage door.

    ReplyDelete
  185. I'm very proud that 8 year old jobber picked Perfect as his favorite WWF wrestler. I was even a smark back then (but more for the neon and sassy heel talk than the workrate)

  189. Preference: Escape, or Pin? I say pin, most guys rely on the slow climb too much in the escape-style matches.

  191. Watching last weeks Arrow. No matter how they use Laurel I find her annoying. And Felicity Smoak isn't hot.

    ReplyDelete
  192. Mankind's boss exit music - still present.

    ReplyDelete
  193. Well regardless they did seem to care at RR 92 and the "she was mine before she was yours" Savage match.
