I guess the spirit of the WCW Powerplant lives in NXT with DeMott running things.
ReplyDeleteDidn't anyone at WWE tell DeMott to Be A Star?
ReplyDeleteWhy is a talentless, hothead hack whose claim to fame is being the first victim of Goldberg training people.
ReplyDeleteIf AJ/Paige v. the Cum Dumpsters bumps Tyson Kidd and Cesaro to the pre-show, I'm going to laugh. Because I can definitely see that happening.
ReplyDeleteIt's really weird how WWE chooses to acknowledge the full careers of some Hall of Famers and doesn't with others. Last night, they acknowledged Madusa and Alundra Blayze. They didn't acknowledge the Sheepherders. They didn't acknowledge that Rikishi was a Headshrinker among other things.
ReplyDeleteThere seems to be no template for why they do it. They're literally just picking and choosing on a whim.
With Nash, I wonder how Diesel heavy that induction package will be. I'd bet at least 50/50 Diesel to Kevin Nash.
Well, they need some kind of cool down before the Error of Reigns begins.
ReplyDeleteDidn't they say originally that he'd be going in as Diesel and not Kevin Nash? I guess they chop and change their minds a lot though.
ReplyDelete... I'm lifting that one; the Error of Reigns is just perfect.
ReplyDeleteI'm still shocked Madusa is going in because of the title/trash can incident.
ReplyDeleteJBL calmed down the bully shit once Joey Styles knocked him the fuck out, wonder who could do the same to Hugh Morrus over there...Renee?
ReplyDeleteSame here. She seemed like the least likely candidate to get in.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure it will be, but I'm also sure she actually wants to do it. She's expressed so much regret for doing it.
ReplyDeleteYour penis is humorous?
ReplyDeleteHIDE THE BOOZE, HIDE YO WIFE!
ReplyDeleteSummerslam 2004 is one strange show.
ReplyDelete-None of the matches really hit great status, even though two or three of them really had the potential to.
-Crowd reactions: hometown babyface edge? Buh Bye? Canadian champ Benoit? Huge face heat for Orton and pup when he wins. Eugene? You can pretty much pinpoint the reaction in this match as the end of his career.
-Crowd behavior: the wave, the fan running onto JBL's limo.
My future ex-wife shall not be subjected to that walking piece of trash's orbit, danke.
ReplyDeleteObserver's been discussing that recently. They're saying the Madusa thing was never as big as either company portrayed. It didn't make a big impact and WWE actually won out on it in the end because they sued and won a settlement against WCW for doing it.
ReplyDeleteThey've also theorized that part of her induction might be an apology.
And of course, some idiots on the Internet are actually defending DeMott's actions and calling Devlin a wuss. Don't believe me? Have a look: https://www.facebook.com/ItsStillRealToUsDammit/posts/779216735495874
ReplyDeleteexcluding benoit
ReplyDeleteSomeone just Woo'ed loudly. I do believe there is a Flair loose in my office building.
ReplyDeleteI think he's exclusively Diesel for the same reason Scott Hall was exclusively Razor -- they're saving up for an NWO induction down the line.
ReplyDeleteSounds like Demott likes to pretend to be a drill Sargent to escape the reality of being a 3rd rate talent who's came to fame was being named after a penis joke.
ReplyDeleteInducting her as Alundra Blayze, who she was for all of 2 years, when the ENTIRE rest of her career was Madusa and they OWN ALL THE FOOTAGE has to rank as one of the most insecure, pettiest things they've ever done. What a bunch of needle-dicks.
ReplyDeletecause they choppin er'one out here.
ReplyDeletePeople go long ways sometimes to convince themselves they're special.
ReplyDeleteI'm just givin her well deserved props boss!
ReplyDelete...
...before I give her the d.
It is in bizarro land
ReplyDeleteWatched Spring Stampede 94 earlier. Flair/Steamboat is great but how clueless is Flair booking that shit like it is still 1984? No wonder they had to bring in Hogan. And all the lulz at Steamboat main eventing a PPV in 1994 while guys like Pillman and Austin are stuck in the undercard.
ReplyDeleteWasn't that one of the best WCW cards of the year? There's a lot to be said about how stacked the undercard was in WCW before Hogan showed up.
ReplyDeleteDidn't this show kill Toronto has a pay per view town or was that later?
ReplyDeleteIt's a great show but I mean c'mon, its 1994. Get with the times.
ReplyDeleteEdges tantrum was great.
ReplyDeleteAye. It's a shame they went FULL Hogan though post 94. It's one thing to have Hulkamania running wild on top, but to boot out Austin, Dustin and others and replace them with Duggan, Tenta and others was pretty bad. I know Steamboat got injured, but still, an absolute decimation of the undercard.
ReplyDeleteSpring Stampede 94 is one of my favorite WCW ppvs.
ReplyDeleteEven with him outweighing me by at least 100 pounds, if DeMott (or anyone) called me "faggot" to my face I'd probably incredulously laugh. Who in 2015 still uses that as an insult? That guy probably should've just replied "Wanna get married," but I'm not sure if that's legal in Florida yet.
ReplyDeleteForcing guys to take bumps straight on their necks? Yes, that's wrong.
ReplyDeleteBut calling a guy a Mary or whatever... is just name calling. Some dudes are dicks.
Switch the WCW Title with the WCW International Big Gold Heavyweight Belt, and it probably makes more sense. Ending the show with Sting-Rude could have been a lot bigger than Flair-Steamboat No. 2,875. Otherwise, I don't really think there's much to complain about on that show.
ReplyDelete1994 pre-Hogan wasn't really doing any of those guys any favors either. They were all just circling around each other doing jobs back and forth.
ReplyDeleteUnforgiven 2006 was the last pay per view held there,IIRC
ReplyDeleteI'm not really complaining. More like face palming.
ReplyDeleteSounds familiar.
ReplyDeleteI get it, some people are overly sensitive, but as an adult, you should be able to laugh off a little name calling.
ReplyDeleteGood morning from the hometown of Eddie Guerrero, dudes. Today's goal is to get to Dallas.
ReplyDeleteBit a difference between calling someone a "mary" and calling someone a faggot.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I guess. And you're right, booking Steamboat in the mains wasn't going to do much for business, as much as us lot might have loved it. And he also did a PPV match with Windham at this time too, right? He was basically booking for himself like Hogan did! He just had more talented friends to work with.
ReplyDeleteMaybe in aggressiveness... but it's still just aggressive name calling.
ReplyDeleteSticks and stones will break my bones but words will just cause permenant psychological damage.
ReplyDeleteDeMott is a piece of shit, no-talent hack, fat ass who should have been fired years and years ago.
ReplyDeleteIf someone calls someone a faggot though, the guy in the wrong is the guy saying it, not someone who takes it personally.
ReplyDeleteI was at Unforgiven 2006 and it was a fucking amazing show. A hell in a cell, a tlc, and trish's farewell. All on one show.
ReplyDeleteYikes and Demott seemed like one of the more stable ones on TE
ReplyDeleteThe amount of armdrags and crossbodys in that match is astounding.
ReplyDelete....
ReplyDelete....
DAMN!
Which is silly in and of itself. Flair was inducted but it wasn't exclusively for his WWE career. Yet they still inducted him as part of the group of the Four Horsemen.
ReplyDeleteNow that I've finished Raw on Hulu, I'm watching Spring Stampede 1994. Thanks for the idea, Cult!
ReplyDeleteI think this was the birth of Bizaro World.
ReplyDeleteBill Demott was a 260lb fullback in college
ReplyDelete- Jim Ross
"I don't know what his deal was with me using the n word, I was just aggressively calling him black."
ReplyDeleteViva La Raza!
ReplyDeleteAgreed... but that just means the guy is a dick. I'm not sure why this is newz.
ReplyDeleteNo, the word 'faggot' is a slur. That's BEYOND aggressive name calling.
ReplyDeleteI was expecting a Hitler comparison, but that'll do nicely.
ReplyDeletesame time, this dumbass company wants to both act like it's a professional work environment and keep all the carnie shit alive.
ReplyDeleteI'am continually shocked that a company that is so worried about PR still has DeMott on the payroll. Although considering the Del Rio debacle, maybe I shouldn't be anymore.
ReplyDeleteBill Demott can go get jobbed out in Puerto Rico by Jose Gonzalez.
ReplyDeleteOther thought I had about that show, Austin/Muta isn't as bad as it is made out to be. Little boring, shit finish but still a solid match.
ReplyDeleteI'm not going to defend what the former Gen. Hugh G. Rection did while training guys, but I wonder how much of that is a way to see whether or not someone can stand up for themselves and shut down the bullying. It's a fairly too old school mentality. I mean, really, there are other ways to get a point like that across, though.
ReplyDeleteGeneral Hugh G. Rection reporting for duty, sir!
ReplyDeleteAJ goes on twitter and says women should get more opportunities in WWE, gets major heat on her from the company.
ReplyDeleteDeMott regularly uses homophobic language, is considered good company man.
WWE's politics is just grand. What century are they in?
How long have they kept Michael Hayes employed for?
ReplyDelete15th
ReplyDeleteI'm surprised they just didn't say to AJ "I bet you're on your period, aren't you?"
ReplyDeleteMy ex's ex used to call and harass me and would call me a faggot. He didn't care for me pointing out that had I of been gay I wouldn't have been banging his wife.
ReplyDeleteSeriously, it could have been amazing, but it was still quite good.
ReplyDeleteAlso, how many PPVs did Johnny B. Badd open for WCW?
That's an awesome comeback.
ReplyDeleteThey'd be welcome here in India.
ReplyDeleteAll of them.
ReplyDeleteUh..........
ReplyDeletehttps://41.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m156v2REqX1rq5iico1_500.jpg
The guy on the right looks like my uncle...
ReplyDeleteThat may be Stan's best looking photograph...
ReplyDeleteThe wife is safe, hide to credit card.
ReplyDeleteWhat's wrong with that?
ReplyDeleteEven with the "those who can't, teach" rule, how great of a trainer could DeMott actually be? He was a power wrestler who could do a moonsaul; that's not even the WWE style they probably want taught.
ReplyDeleteWho knows how "tough" Judas Devlin or whatever but on the surface I'd say it takes super balls to dare and write a letter like that in the WWE realizing there will be a major snitch mentality
ReplyDeleteALL IS FORGIVEN!!!
ReplyDeleteWas Spring Stampede airing after Jesse won some money from the WWF? Because Ventura and Mean Gene are making a bunch of allusions.
ReplyDeleteWWE can choose from hundreds of former wrestlers to train their talent.
ReplyDeleteThey chose Hugh Morris. As far as I'm concerned, they get what they deserve.
By the way, Draven is far from the first guy to talk about how terrible DeMott is. Briley Pierce (Ziggler's brother) was one of the most memorable. Here's his deleted tweets: http://i.imgur.com/zZdGpzK.jpg
But was he an All-American?!?!
ReplyDeleteJust read the whole memo....wow..Hugh needs to go and hopefully this gins up enough pub that they will realize he isn't worth keeping.
ReplyDeleteJust like what happened with TNA!
ReplyDeleteNow that's a real hoss.
ReplyDeleteFire him once Dustin retires.
ReplyDeleteYou are correct, now that I looked it up.
ReplyDeleteAnd the award for coolest photo of the day goes to:
ReplyDeletehttp://41.media.tumblr.com/3da74e97f13111a3218b77efbc9f22f2/tumblr_n7xcizTyDc1sj4xr4o1_1280.jpg
"Armdragon" is still one of the best nicknames out there.
ReplyDeleteI guarantee that if DeMott is fired (and he should be if this is true) it will be spun as a WCW guy not understanding the WWE culture. DeMott really sounds like an asshole. I'm not one for "frontier justice" but if he ever runs into a former student and he got his ass handed to him I wouldn't weep.
ReplyDeleteThat may happen, but DeMott has now worked for WWE MUCH LONGER than he worked for WCW. No excuses after this long.
ReplyDeleteThey give that guy a lot of leeway for someone who drew as much in the wrestling business as I have.
ReplyDeleteEC3 & Trent Barreta both implicitly confirmed the story on their twitter.
ReplyDeleteIs that Ox Baker in the background? Jesus, what a collection of freakshows.
ReplyDeleteAgree -- I've wondered the same. I know some of the best hitting coaches in baseball have been really poor hitters in the majors, but it always seemed odd that a guy that a fat guy that wasn't very good or memorable in the ring, out of the ring, on the mic was their head trainer. Someone like Regal really should be head trainer.
ReplyDeleteRaquel Welch either has some amazing genes, or a damn good plastic surgeon.
ReplyDeleteHe's not racist, he wrestled JYD in the Superdome once and he just wears that white hood every once in a while to avoid the sun.
ReplyDeleteA solar eclipse.
ReplyDeleteThe cosmic ballet...goes on.
I'd still hit it today.

These videos describe 97% of music today
Yep. Sophia Loren (former titleholder of 'Women Over 70 still sexy) sadly forfeited her title six or seven years ago, but Raquel is still holding on.
ReplyDeleteDid anyone see that pic of Helen Mirren in a bikini? How in the hell...?
ReplyDelete... Voodoo
ReplyDeleteYeah he won the Coliseum Video settlement, I believe.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely, I can just see them trying to pass this off on WCW. When Hayes was suspended wasn't it pointed out that he didn't come up through WWE? As with DeMott, Hayes has been with WWE for a lot longer than anywhere else -- he's been in the company 20 years now. Maybe if they ever do a panel on gays in wrestling DeMott and JBL can be on the panel the way that Hayes was on the African Americans in wrestling panel.
ReplyDeleteIt's not. Those that stand up would be fired
ReplyDeleteWell, Hayes is a bit of a different situation, because he's an old school drunk. Not forgiving it, but it's not the same as DeMott. I'm sure the small amount of blood in Hayes' Blood Alcohol Content has more to do with him saying stupid shit than anything else.
ReplyDeleteDeMott's just an asshole.
Music has been dead for awhile now. Rock in particular feels as though it's plateaued. Each decade since the 1950s produced a new genre (Rockabilly, R&B, Psychadelic, Progressive, Stadium Rock, Grunge). Ever since the Nu Metal movement hit though, it feels like rock music just... stopped evolving.
ReplyDeleteI have to disagree with you on that
ReplyDeleteYeah, I knew about the video settlement, I was more just wondering about the timing. It's really the only thing that makes sense, timing wise.
ReplyDeleteNash should come out to his Oz music and outfit.
ReplyDeleteIs there evidence of that? Because guys standing up for themselves in the WWF used to be the kind of thing VKM liked.
ReplyDeleteHasn't he now worked longer at WWE than he had at WCW? That doesn't really make sense, but that's WWE for you.
ReplyDeleteI actually think his language is at the lower end of the problems with this guy.
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone want to switch seats?
ReplyDeleteSo when I call one of my friends 'half a fag' for whatever reason, how aggressive is my name calling?
ReplyDeleteWhat happened to Zigglers brother?
ReplyDeleteWWE should have dubbed over Stunning Steve Austin's music with Stone Cold's, just to troll everyone.
ReplyDeletehttps://nickpiers.wordpress.com/2015/03/03/superman-and-the-superman-films/
ReplyDeleteTJ: I came to a realization recently that while I like many moments in all the Superman films (even III and IV), I don't like any of them as a whole. So I ranted about that in a recent blog post.
So Joe is going to WWE, that could be fun even if he just stays in NXT. Hell, I would prefer he stays in NXT a while.
ReplyDeleteMy work here is done.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad for her -- she's a cool chick and was one of the first 'damn, so not all female wrestlers are fat, old or talentless?' women to come around in the 80s. It seemed like until her and Sherri came along all of the women wrestlers were either old or couldn't work and they ALL did hair drags and that BS. Madusa came in and did shit the guys did or couldn't do and even when in the Dangerous Alliance she wasn't just eye candy. She's also a hell of a monster truck driver apparently.
ReplyDeleteYeah -- it is stupid at this point, but it is what it is. It would be like inducting Harley Race as King Harley Race and not seven-time NWA World Champion and one of the top five wrestlers of all-time Harley Race.
ReplyDeleteIs Cum Dumpsters the official name now lol?
ReplyDeleteMan, Jon Stewart cut a professional wrestling promo better than 99% of the goddamn roster could do. Funny, serious when it needed to be, tied together a year's worth of storylines, got the crowd on the babyface's side and hating the heel, and actually made you want to see the heel get punched. Great fucking stuff, too bad their Wrestlemania main event babyface couldn't even come close to doing that.
ReplyDeleteMaybe the demott thing will work itself out now.
ReplyDeleteDemott tries to give Joe shit, Joe kills him.
ReplyDeleteAnd then the backstage Stewart stuff was perfect too. He actually played up that he was terrified of the wrestler, rather than blow them off like all the celeb hosts do. The dude put over pro wrestling better than actual pro wrestlers would.
ReplyDeleteBut you didn't do anything!
ReplyDeleteWhat fucking purpose does the watchlist function serve on the network? As far as I can tell it is useless.
ReplyDeleteThis Bill Demott situation isn't HughMorrus at all. No.
ReplyDeleteSo...why did Reigns lose last night? I like Rollins more than Reigns, yeah but if Reigns is the guy to face Lesner at Mania why have him lose to Rollins and a couple of weeks ago Big Show?
ReplyDeleteVince will balance this out by burying him for the next month
ReplyDeleteBetter yet, why book that match at all?
ReplyDeleteBecause Vince can't bring himself to put someone over to promote them so he is resorting to having them lose...but lose to 6 guys so..its like winning
ReplyDeleteSo many complaints for so long now, I don't know how the board of directors can not be pressuring WWE to let this guy go by now. Hugh must have some really good dirt on either HHH or Vince.
ReplyDeleteBecause they have to make sure no one goes over.
ReplyDeleteA somewhat sensible reason would be that Rollins holds a victory over Reigns, so he'd be in line for a title shot down the line. Oh wait, he has the briefcase? Hole of plot.
I'm not a huge fan of Stewart, but it'd be fun to see him on color commentary.
ReplyDeleteCheck out the Tweets. Generally just more complaints about bullying and sexual harassment on behalf of DeMott
ReplyDeleteThey really should just run with Rollins as the long term #1 guy in the company right now. The dude has really hit another level on the mic, he's obviously as good in-ring as it gets, and if they actually ran with him now he could play off the mainstream heat from the Stewart angle. Lots of actual big media sites covered the angle and namechecked Rollins, and the dude came off great in all the Stewart interactions.
ReplyDeleteMake Rollins the fucking champ, let him keep badmouthing Stewart, and then do an angle where Stewart is in a babyface's corner against Rollins at Summerslam which is gonna be in either MSG, Brooklyn, or Jersey.
we all need to bombard the Steve Austin show with e-mails asking for him to state his opinion/experiences on this Demott stuff next podcast.
ReplyDeleteOn the one hand, locker room culture has always been dicey and never holds up under public scrutiny. Not excusing name-calling and slurs, but when you get involved in sports (or faux sports) you have to know what you're getting into. That world just isn't for everyone.
ReplyDeleteOn the other hand, WWE can't let this stuff go on while simultaneously promoting "Be A Star!" and all that. Plus, there's the issue of low-paid trainees being physically tortured by the employees of a publicly traded company. Not a good look.
Every time I tried to use it I got an error anyways.
ReplyDeleteplus you have to make the team authority look strong to build towards...the Reigns...brock...wait a second
ReplyDeleteMaybe DeMott just keeps referring to himself as Hugh G. Rection and the wrestlers don't know what he's talking about?
ReplyDeleteYou are just a smark who doesn't know anything...having 5 guys and a chair help him beat the guy going over at mania is the way to build him properly
ReplyDeleteyea because he could get away with calling someone a niggar I'm sure. (Sarcasm)
ReplyDeleteWWE is nuts if they don't have the belt on Rollins at Summerslam, and build an angle where Jon Stewart is managing a babyface (Ambrose would be perfect here) to beat him for the belt. The show is gonna be in goddamn NYC, the place would go apeshit for it and they'd be able to get actual media coverage.
ReplyDeleteDepends on how good of a friend it is, if your good friends, then you know what they are ok with, if you're there boss/trainer then it is unacceptable.
ReplyDeleteI just don't get it at all. Reigns shouldn't be losing and homestly hardly should be selling for anybody. He's going against Brock who has been built up huge.
ReplyDeleteIt's cool because they're a private company that doesn't have to explain bad PR to shareholders. Oh wait...
ReplyDeleteYeah, of all the options they've got, Rollins is their best bet.
ReplyDeleteJust got forced into legalization by the district court.
ReplyDeleteI'm extremely interested in finding out the RAW ratings this week. If they went up, will they give all the credit to Jon Stewart or will they try to pin it on Reigns somehow?
ReplyDeleteAnd if they go down, will the blame go on Bryan or AJ or Ziggler or some other typical punching bag?
Yeah personally I'm not a huge Daily Show fan--- I agree what the bent of what they're saying, but it gets pretty repetitive and samey (I get it, FOX NEWS BAD!). That said, Stewart himself is legit hilarious, dude was one of my favorite standups as a kid, and it really comes through how much of a fan he actually is. Really the perfect pro wrestling celeb guest, in that he's actually mainstream famous, dude's a standup comic so he can work a live crowd easy, and he knows the product.
ReplyDeleteJoe then gets released.
ReplyDeleteSince I'm switching back and forth between ECW and Raw, I was hoping if I added them to the watchlist, it would let me pick off at the next episode instead of scrolling through hundreds of episodes every time. Noooooope.
ReplyDeleteThere's really nobody to blame besides Reigns. He's clearly their guy and they realize that at this point.
ReplyDeleteYup, by far. The one bright spot since last Mania has been just how fucking good Rollins has gotten.
ReplyDeletea little name calling is kind of unacceptable within a publicly traded company and a professional work place. With you're buddies at the gym or bar, not a big deal, by a boss it is.
ReplyDeleteBobby Eaton and Arn Anderson on this episode of ECW! I love the network.
ReplyDeleteBut Vince will never admit it.
ReplyDeleteThere's a massive difference between instilling discipline or getting on a guy a bit and full blown abusive and negligent behavior. People who want to keep doing the latter to others use the "pussification of America" argument as an excuse to continue their behavior.
ReplyDelete"Even before last night's return of AJ Lee, the plan was for AJ & Paige to face off against the Bella's at WrestleMania"
ReplyDeleteFascinating, then why wasn't it reported? But thank you dirt sheets for reporting it once it's been made obvious on Raw, very helpful.
Small price to pay.
ReplyDeleteI'm surprised the fact that he targets / possibly further aggreviates injuries to guys who aren't medically cleared hasn't been addressed by the WWE. Wonder how many of these guys recoveries took longer because of his treatment (The Rusev story is especially troubling).
ReplyDeleteIt was reported yesterday afternoon. I included that just to fill a story for the update.
ReplyDeleteLast night, during Roman's rampage against the Authority, I noticed for the first time just how non-impressive his offense really is. If he beats the Beast Incarnate with a Superman Punch and a spear...well, that was fine in Shield six-man schmozzes, but not in a career-defining Wrestlemania match. Rock got away with the People's Elbow, but Roman ain't the Rock.
ReplyDeleteI mean, JBL is still gainfully employed and has a prominent spot within the company...
ReplyDeleteOf course, but WWE tends to blame someone else. Most famously, they blamed Truth & Miz when their Survivor Series match against the Rock and Cena didn't draw as high as they hoped.
ReplyDeleteSo I only caught bits and pieces of RAW due to house stuff. I saw what was going on with Reigns, Triple H and Wyatt...what did Lesnar, Sting and Undertaker have to say?
ReplyDeleteNever seen much 1994 ECW before, really digging it even though there are some warts. Easily better than either WCW or WWF from this time period.
ReplyDeleteWatching mania 12 while doing morning cardio. As a Bret fan, I always thought the sudden death ordered by Monsoon was bs. Bret should still be champ!
ReplyDeleteIf the Shield didn't break up, a triple power bomb would have been the most convincing way to take Brock out.
ReplyDeleteBayless got Hammond, despite at least two teams with worse records than him laying claims.
ReplyDeleteREALLY? That's a broken-ass waiver system.
Gorilla screwed bret?
ReplyDeleteTradition isn't a very good defense for treating people poorly. Locker room culture is changing and it needs to change and get with the times.
ReplyDeleteBetween the People's Elbow and the Scorpion King Deathlock, Rock's offense was pretty terrible. But his charisma was off the charts so you kinda ignored it, and the fans were into him big time.
ReplyDeleteNow, I did see some clip on UFC where a dude got knocked out by a Superman punch, but I don't see Brock going down that easily.
They should just troll the fans and Brock and have him lose in 18 seconds to the punch.
The feud that went across WCW, SMW, and ECW... and a fun little grudge at that.
ReplyDeleteYou get it.
ReplyDeleteTrue, he'll do better in NJPW anyway.
ReplyDeleteHey yo! It's survey time!
ReplyDeleteWho is more bangable in 2015: 42 year-old Tammy Sytch or 51 year-old Madusa?
In their primes, the answer is obviously Sunny. But keep in mind that Sunny tends to be heavier and a nutcase, while Madusa is still in rocking shape and completely down-to-earth.
Fucking right! You're supposed to be the champ in the allotted time and Michaels couldn't!
ReplyDeleteAnd Curtis Axel is still in the Royal Rumble, damn it!
ReplyDeleteFUCK. I knew I was a long shot being 11 out of 12. I can't believe I dropped him and still ended up losing. Oh well, I think he is a flash in the pan anyways.
ReplyDeletecan we get Brock down to NXT to tune up for his big match at mania?
ReplyDeleteYeah, they were just batshit crazy in 94-95. Their production style was so underrated...they'd pack more into 45 minutes than most shows would in let's just say...3 hours plus overrun.
ReplyDeleteMadusa.
ReplyDeleteLol at Bret's son Blade singing sexy boy as hbk gets the title. Forgot about that.
ReplyDeleteHe has a counter and everything.
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing how un-over Roman reigns is. I've never seen a Wrestlemania built around a guy that fans give less of a shit about. It's not even close to the Cena reaction, not on the same planet--- the kids in the crowd don't even seem to care about this guy.
ReplyDeleteIt's at a point where I don't even think a heel turn saves it, because it's less the crowd hating the guy and more them just not caring and not wanting to see him. It's really amazing stuff.
I demand a rematch!
ReplyDeleteI understand locker room culture, hell I was on my high school football and wrestling team. But WWE can't be a corporate entity, be publicly traded and still let this shit go. They are opening themselves up to a big lawsuit here with the derogatory remarks and it seems like Demott is making them do unsafe things. Demott needs to go before this gets bad for them.
ReplyDeleteMore than worth it. Once the details came out, he'd have no problems finding well-paying work elsewhere.
ReplyDelete
