Comments

  1. I mean, when even goofy 80s WWF has blood when needed, it makes Vince's current Draconian stance against it kinda silly

    ReplyDelete
  2. Finishing WM IV tonight. That and UNC vs Duke. Go Tar Heels!

    ReplyDelete
  3. Gotta love Kevin Nash on commentary.

Well, actually he's bad for the product, but it's funny as shit.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Oh God, midgets

    ReplyDelete
  5. Biff Kensington Has a PosseMarch 7, 2015 at 5:05 PM

I disagree. Barbaric practice really, no need for it in the modern product. Look at the faces of the old wrestlers and you'll see how much damage blading caused over time. Even for a one off, why bother with public mutilation?

    ReplyDelete
  6. King Kong Bundy looks Jersey as fuck

    ReplyDelete
  7. ThebrazilianpsychoMarch 7, 2015 at 5:07 PM

I think I'm gonna watch Boxing tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Biff Kensington Has a PosseMarch 7, 2015 at 5:07 PM

I finally figured out why the Intercontinental Champion is always booked so poorly now. The Intercontinental Title still has the word 'wrestling' on it! No wonder the person holding the SlutBelt gets booked so poorly; Vince is trying to train us ala Pavlov's Dogs to reject wrestling in favor of his brand of 'sports entertainment'. It's perfect!

    ReplyDelete
  9. If Rusev and Cena win out, at 31 their match will unify the WWE Linear title and the Dark Timeline Linear title. I way more excited about this possibility than anything else.

    ReplyDelete
  10. What's the difference?

    ReplyDelete
  11. The Dark Timeline title was created when Reigns when out with an injury.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Especially in a world where UFC uses vasoline to prevent blood.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Biff Kensington Has a PosseMarch 7, 2015 at 5:10 PM

Honestly, things really did go to pot when Reigns got hurt, storyline wise. And then when he came back things got worse. Can't live with him, can't live without him.

    ReplyDelete
  14. No way this run is as poorly received if he doesn't get hurt.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Even if we only missed another 2 months of Big Show matches and Reigns taking pins when he should be looking like a guy that can hang with Brock?

    ReplyDelete
  16. DAYUM, Elizabeth

    ReplyDelete
  17. poorly received? the universe voted him superstar of the year Maggle!

    ReplyDelete
  18. Anyone watching boxing tonight on NBC?

    ReplyDelete
  19. Biff Kensington Has a PosseMarch 7, 2015 at 5:13 PM

I don't know that it wouldn't still be unpopular because the guy wasn't lighting it on fire before the injury, but I don't think it would've been as bad. What definitely would've improved was his performance on the mic and in big money matches, because he would've been put in the position far earlier to grow that part of his game.

    ReplyDelete
  20. ThebrazilianpsychoMarch 7, 2015 at 5:13 PM

I'm gonna watch for the first time.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Biff Kensington Has a PosseMarch 7, 2015 at 5:13 PM

    Heel Book got it right...

"Roman Reigns: Superstar of the Year. Seth Rollins: Actual Superstar of the Year."

    ReplyDelete
  22. If he's got a PPV victory over Rollins under his belt he at least looks like a credible option to win.

As it was he was only credible because we were told he was.

    ReplyDelete
  23. I'm glad they spent monday trying to fix that by squandering Rollins

    ReplyDelete
  24. I just wanna see Broner's wannabe-Mayweather ass get dropped.

    ReplyDelete
  25. big show got "please retire" chants at the latest nxt house shows lol...

    ReplyDelete
  26. ThebrazilianpsychoMarch 7, 2015 at 5:17 PM

And he made the crowd cheer for him at the end.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Biff Kensington Has a PosseMarch 7, 2015 at 5:17 PM

I can't believe that a place near my hometown would have the audacity, the audacity to serve Eastern-Style NC Pork instead of Western NC-style. For reference, I live about an hour west of the place where Western NC-style BBQ was invented. Yes, I will still go, and yes, it will probably be delicious, but damn man. That's just not cool.

On the other hand, they call unsweetened tea 'Yankee Tea', so they must be good peoples.

    ReplyDelete
  28. certainly no one but Vince thought that match was a good idea for that crowd

    ReplyDelete
  29. Biff Kensington Has a PosseMarch 7, 2015 at 5:17 PM

Hell, even I cheer when a Big Show match ends.

    ReplyDelete
  30. I'm hoping for that too. Broner is the Willie Mays Hays of boxing.

    ReplyDelete
  31. heres a full report of the show

  32. ThebrazilianpsychoMarch 7, 2015 at 5:18 PM

He started make fun of himself in the match.

    ReplyDelete
  33. AverageJoeEverymanMarch 7, 2015 at 5:19 PM

    So he hits like shit?

    ReplyDelete
  34. Purple tights and boots for HHH.

    Such a weird look.

    ReplyDelete
  35. And makes basket catches too

    ReplyDelete
  36. ThebrazilianpsychoMarch 7, 2015 at 5:20 PM

I need a guide about who's fighting tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  37. There is good to Show.. but he should retire from active wrestling. I was talking with someone about him being a manager... IT would be something new. you never have a manager bigger than the wrestlers. Hell put the Ascension with him...the y could start squashing everyone finally by tossing them into the ropes and letting Big show hit is big punch every week.

    ReplyDelete
  38. What ppv are we doing?

    ReplyDelete
  39. Biff Kensington Has a PosseMarch 7, 2015 at 5:21 PM

I don't hate Big Show, I really don't. He has a use on the roster, just not as a main event heel (or main event anything). But I wouldn't just toss him out wholesale. The dude was epic on commentary a few weeks back, and Lord knows the team needs a change.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Nash isn't doing too bad so far.

    ReplyDelete
  41. well according to the reply to the audience hes got a guarnteed 10 year contract so he aint going anywhere

    ReplyDelete
  42. Think everybody's on their own.

    I'm doing JD03.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Zach Bogosian was an underrated fantasy pickup since the trade to Buffalo. Four assists in his last six games.

    ReplyDelete
  44. That's fucking awesome if he yelled that back at them.

Most underrated guy of the last 20 years.

    ReplyDelete
  45. I'm in the middle of X-7 for the third time this weekend.

    ReplyDelete
  46. keith thurman vs robert guerrero
    brne vs molina jr

    ReplyDelete
  47. Obvious problem with 03 HHH:

He's trying to wrestle Flair style and his moveset doesn't fit that style.

    ReplyDelete
  48. If he's beating everyone he faces between Summerslam and the Rumble, probably not.

But you still have the problem of Bryan coming back in the Rumble. That's the real problem.

    ReplyDelete
  49. and he is rood bloated and a step slower with the bad leg

    ReplyDelete
  50. Spent the last 3 hours ripping a blu ray and just as it gets to about 2 minutes left my computer decides to restart itself. Fucking fantastic.

    ReplyDelete
  51. That too. He's just the worst possible guy to be wrestling the "Flair Formula."

    ReplyDelete
  52. what happened to 97/98?

    ReplyDelete
  53. Burned myself out on the undercard. I got to WM14 and decided to switch and watch a different whole year. Than I'll jump years after WM20 again.

    ReplyDelete
  54. ThebrazilianpsychoMarch 7, 2015 at 5:29 PM

    What time is it?

    EST

    ReplyDelete
  55. Credit to HHH: He just made Nash look strong in that schmozz.

    ReplyDelete
  56. I would have liked to see him try to cut an 80's Flair promo. Yelling at Cole about how his suit costs more than Cole's RAW jacket.

    ReplyDelete
  57. man, you seriously couldn't go to Over the Edge 98, then quit?

that was the last thing I watched before hitting the cancel button for my subscription. the ME is still one of my favorite matches of all time.

    ReplyDelete
  58. I'm doing it on "seasons" bookended by WMs.

I'll get to the 98 season pretty quick I think. But if I watch that I have to go to WM15 to watch the whole season.

    ReplyDelete
  59. agreed. I see the thinking since he was slower but didn't pan out. Without rewatching it all I still remember HHH/Taker KOTR 2002 as his nadir. They were both injured so treated every move like the 40 minute mark of a the craziest hardest hitting epic match about 2 minutes in

    ReplyDelete
  60. You need to get a watch.

    ReplyDelete
  61. What would Roman Reigns have done from Night of Champions to the Royal Rumble if he didn't get hurt? Here's my thoughts:

Night of Champions: Beats Seth Rollins.
Hell in the Cell: Beats Bray Wyatt in a grudge match.
Survivor Series: Cena/Reigns/Ziggler/Ambrose/Ryback v. Rollins/Wyatt/Big Show/Kane/Rusev. Reigns plays the Ziggler role of winning the match for Team Cena and "ending the authority." And Sting's debut is more about keeping HHH from interfereing, you don't get HHH beating down Reigns and making him look like a jobber the way he did to Ziggler.
TLC: Reigns/Ambrose v. Wyatt Family (Rowan doesn't turn face) in a TLC handicapped match. Reigns and Ambrose are sort of building a competitive friends dynmanic.
Royal Rumble: Reigns wins, probably by last eliminated Ambrose. They do a handshake respect thing.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Those Raw jacketes were pretty expensive, like $200 I think.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Jacqueline? In 2003!?!?!

    ReplyDelete
  64. Better than what they've booked thus far.

    ReplyDelete
  65. NC is all transplants from PA and OH. I actually went to a Steelers bar the last time I was down there.

    ReplyDelete
  66. the season isn't too bad - KOTR's alright, Summerslam's great, Breakdown was surprisingly good, and I like SurSer. And then the Foley/Rock stuff keeps it pretty good through to Mania. Of course, most of the undercards suck.

I am impressed by your discipline though.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Your way sounds good but the reality Lots more Big Show and Kane and 50/50 booking

    ReplyDelete
  68. The rumor was she was banging Vince and was rewarded with the cruiserweight title.

    ReplyDelete
  69. Still, and I know Hunter doesn't do drugs, but a 5 minute rant ala Flair coked out of his mind could've been fun to see.

    ReplyDelete
  70. I needed a change of jobber scenery. I just couldn't do anymore Headbangers and Godwinns.

Now I've got a whole new roster to goof on.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Ehh, Vince will fuck anything, huh?

    ReplyDelete
  72. Pretty cool insight on how a booker puts together a card from Gabe: https://www.facebook.com/BookItGabe/posts/777282022356026?notif_t=like

    ReplyDelete
  73. Non steroid related.

    ReplyDelete
  74. uh, by 98 you get the JOB Squad, Brood, Val Venis and Godfather.

... wait, I'm not making much of an argument there. Gangrel's entrance was only good for so much.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Victoria and Stevie were a fun pair.

    ReplyDelete
  76. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OxGRNXlvgOg This is as close as it gets.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Not red in the face and sexual innuendo enough.

    ReplyDelete
  78. Stevie is underrated he was solid with whatever he was given.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Tapped out HHH and Shawn at consecutive PPVs!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  80. I'd like a match with Victoria's fun pair.

    ReplyDelete
  81. Underrated Chappelle's Show sketch: when he plays NBA Street with the terminally ill kid and becomes a hypercomptetivie dick.

"Ooh, I shoulda left you dead, Billy!"

    ReplyDelete
  82. ThebrazilianpsychoMarch 7, 2015 at 5:43 PM

He was perfect as Raven's stooge.

    ReplyDelete
  83. The Rey baseball bat bump was insane. Too bad it led to "family man" Rey.

    ReplyDelete
  84. He and Al Snow never did anything did they? it seems like they would have been a perfect combo of smark love underdogs

    ReplyDelete
  85. Brock-Big Show Round 3.

    Let's get this over with.

    ReplyDelete
  86. Mitch, The GodfatherMarch 7, 2015 at 5:45 PM

So did Goldberg appear on Raw any from No Way Out to Wrestlemania?

    ReplyDelete
  87. Show's Andre gear never looked like it fit him right in 2003.

    ReplyDelete
  88. He had a match with Kane which was just a setup for Taker to play mind games.

    ReplyDelete
  89. I didn't realize the network put up the full shows to the previous hall of fame ceremonies (for a while, they just had the "best of" stuff). So, I'm watching them and skipping over the dudes I don't care for. I'm at 2006. As an inductee and as a presenter for two additional years, Heenan is absolutely killing it. Damn, I miss him.

    ReplyDelete
  90. of all people to lose ability to speak...not fair

    ReplyDelete
  91. Like Marv said. Take his legs, but not his voice.

    ReplyDelete
  92. Man from all the NXT main events I had been getting Adam Rose vs. Kidd..is a step down

    ReplyDelete
  93. Monsoon has a pretty great speech at the 94 HoF.

    ReplyDelete
  94. Mitch, The GodfatherMarch 7, 2015 at 5:48 PM

That was before No Way Out.

    ReplyDelete
  95. I need to watch that. Were they hanging from the rafters?

    ReplyDelete
  96. Heenan's rant on the World Wildlife Fund is legendary.

    ReplyDelete
  97. Hi, every BoDy!

I was indisposed yesterday and today. What do I need to know to keep up with As The Blog Turns?

(outside of wrestling newzzz... I know aboot Demoot)

    ReplyDelete
  98. Is that somewhere on the network? I didn't see 94 there.

    ReplyDelete
  99. He always winds up being somebody's bitch.

    ReplyDelete
  100. He was shooting Santa's Slay

    ReplyDelete
  101. Big Show's got a list of potential victims written on his stretcher.

Only the top name is crossed off and he's fighting the last name on the list.

    That's so fucking sad.

    ReplyDelete
  102. It wasn't on my roku so I went to the website and added it to my watchlist and it showed up. Had to do that for 95 and 96 too. For some reason those shows aren't on roku.

    ReplyDelete
  103. Natalya! you never suck another man's lolly pop!

    ReplyDelete
  104. The energy in that room came in like a tidal wave as Bobby was revving up. Best HoF speech and just one of the best promos of all time.

    ReplyDelete
  105. A constant line I've heard in radio shows is how Nash just comes off such a funny and likeable guy in person, it's understandable why he gets his way a lot despite his harm for the business. He showed that here, really hysterical commentary stuff, a last gasp of true entertainment before the madness of Russo takes over.

    ReplyDelete
  106. A bit of...a LEMON, in FACT

    ReplyDelete
  107. AverageJoeEverymanMarch 7, 2015 at 5:51 PM

"I PLAN TO DESTROY EVERYBODY IN THE MIDDLE OF MY LIST TOO!!!! JUST . . . just later . . I guess."

    ReplyDelete
  108. FACT

Oh wait, you're not talking about a scene for Total Divas, are you?

    ReplyDelete
  109. Ah, okay. Damn roku. And damn you for talking about roku. It was one of the factors in my purchase of it.

    Seriously, though, I dig it.

    ReplyDelete
  110. I love it. There are some other great channels out there too.

    ReplyDelete
  111. He's trying so hard though.

    ReplyDelete
  112. And now Lesnar's beating Show with his own stretcher with uncrossed out named.

    ReplyDelete
  113. Oprah NoodlemantraMarch 7, 2015 at 5:53 PM

I'm @ Van Dam/Sabu and this match is complete amateur hour. Sloppy, sloppy.

    ReplyDelete
  114. Those shows from 94-96 were taped? Cool.

    ReplyDelete
  115. The middle is the best part, too!

    Like the Oreo cream!

    ReplyDelete
  116. But did they reverse waistlocks and somersault around for a 60 seconds only to pause for applause? That's the real question.

    ReplyDelete
  117. An odd touch to these old shows is how everybody would wait intently for the announcer to declare the decision.

    ReplyDelete
  118. Nope. He was out of contractually obligated appearances after No Way Out. That's why the build to Lesnar/Goldberg was so Austin-centric.

    ReplyDelete
  119. Oprah NoodlemantraMarch 7, 2015 at 5:55 PM

Yepper. Right off the start of the match, then RVD cuts a promo.

    ReplyDelete
  120. Cole outright said Big Show failed lol.

    ReplyDelete
  121. Man, that ROH World Title match from the 13th Anniversary show was so heatless.

    ReplyDelete
  122. AverageJoeEverymanMarch 7, 2015 at 5:55 PM

First name on the list = Shelton. Last name on the list =Shelton. Everybody in the middle = white as can be.

    ReplyDelete
  123. THIS

These days, amazing that as soon as the ref gets up and walks away from ther action these days, somehow the ring announcer mysteriously knows the decision

It's as if they knew.. ahead of time...

    ReplyDelete
  124. This company will never get a guy over the way they want if they keep up with this 50/50 booking shit.

Oddly enough, the guys that would work best with (Daniel Bryan, Bret Hart, etc) are the guys they don't want to push.

    ReplyDelete
  125. Oprah NoodlemantraMarch 7, 2015 at 5:56 PM

    Iron Clad = 10 years I guess.

    ReplyDelete
  126. now DDPs as he seems to be running the Yoga sessions while Page recovers

    ReplyDelete
  127. You gotta love the annoyed, confused look that wrestling interviewers always have.

    ReplyDelete
  128. Is the full flair speech on? I've always wanted to watch it

    ReplyDelete
  129. Just started watching Rumble 02. Had no idea Taz and Spike Dudley were tag champs. Also forgot how hot Stacy looked in her Dudley outfit.

    ReplyDelete
  130. its 02... Stacy in a burlap sac would have worked

    ReplyDelete
  131. Brock-Big Show's been surprisingly not bad.

    ReplyDelete
  132. I hate that too. I mean, in the old days you'd have Finkel walk back into the ring and get the decision, which could take 2-3 minutes. But you can't take 20 seconds to have the ref walk over to the corner to have a fake conversation with the announcer?

    ReplyDelete
  133. AverageJoeEverymanMarch 7, 2015 at 5:58 PM

    "Were live pal!"

    ReplyDelete
  134. The WrestleMania X8 entrance where she gets all striperrific is awesome.

    ReplyDelete
  135. Lots of ECW was overrated junk.

    ReplyDelete
  136. I'm gonna have to watch that

    ReplyDelete
  137. I would assume so, they have had the full shows without edits for the ones I've watched.

    ReplyDelete
  138. Reminds me of that time when Vince said, "Excellent observation, Choc-o-Lunch!"

    ReplyDelete
  139. Rey's return and revenge was sad.

At least he 619ed Show in the balls.

    ReplyDelete
  140. no see it took 6 guys and a chair to beat Reigns...so that puts him over leading up to the match with brock

    ReplyDelete
  141. HANDS ABOVE THE TABLE

    ReplyDelete
  142. Oh for fucks sake Brock's got a forklift.

    ReplyDelete
  143. That's what Sable said

    ReplyDelete
  144. Well not 4 stars but hell if Kidd vs. Rose wasn't fun

    ReplyDelete
  145. Oprah NoodlemantraMarch 7, 2015 at 6:02 PM

Indeed. If you're gonna do a spot fest, make sure your spots hit!

These two "wrestled" to a 30 minute draw... these are two guys who should not have been doing broadways.

    ReplyDelete
  146. I should have saw that coming but ...damn it that made me laugh

    ReplyDelete
  147. Meh, not like I miss it. Seems kinda superfluous.

    ReplyDelete
  148. Brock doing a cross body from the top of the fork lift was kind of cool.

    ReplyDelete
  149. ThebrazilianpsychoMarch 7, 2015 at 6:03 PM

Raven/Dreamer holds up, at least the promos.

    ReplyDelete
  150. that was a shitass ppv

    ReplyDelete
  151. Bad Blood 03: Nash in a Cell!

    ReplyDelete
  152. you think if Brock's kid said look dad a shooting star! Brock just crumbles to the ground and cries?

    ReplyDelete

"Why is the white brother always telling YOU to get the tables?"

    ReplyDelete
  160. Mitch, The GodfatherMarch 7, 2015 at 6:12 PM

Always loved Taz saying, "Well, here comes the pain." during Brock's entrance.

    ReplyDelete
  161. Adonis looks like he's wearing a big, pink diaper

    ReplyDelete
  162. Watching Quantum Leap on Netflix.

    ReplyDelete
  163. It's sooooo good but goes on too long would have worked better trimmed a little. stu trying to stop her is a nice touch too

    ReplyDelete
  164. Loved that aspect of it, that Stu knew Owen was full of shit but Helen couldn't help herself.

    ReplyDelete
  165. Oprah NoodlemantraMarch 7, 2015 at 6:16 PM

Al Snow VS Shane Douglas for the ECW Heavyweight Title... Really?

    ReplyDelete
  166. I was a fan of the Triple Threat. Wrestling needs more stables like that

    ReplyDelete
  167. Forgot Vince and Gorilla called this one.

    ReplyDelete
  168. Oh snap...Sammy needs a tag partner and Rose shows up!.. Rose was much better as a face..
Sammy looking to Renee before going for the lolly pop and still having to work himself up to take the lolly is gold

    ReplyDelete
  169. Oprah NoodlemantraMarch 7, 2015 at 6:17 PM

And Davey Boy playing dead forever and Helen steps over him no problem to chuck the towel in.

    ReplyDelete
  170. And at the time, we all thought Snow would be going over, especially since Douglas was working hurt and the Head gimmick was running wild.

    ReplyDelete
  171. Bret spending 3 hours in the chicken wing, probably excessive, I will admit.

    ReplyDelete
  172. AverageJoeEverymanMarch 7, 2015 at 6:18 PM

  177. Charismatic eNegro Jef VinsonMarch 7, 2015 at 6:19 PM

I agree. It was a hot angle at the time.

    ReplyDelete
  178. Bret should have stayed out of action for 2 years

    ReplyDelete
  179. Nice catch, Hayes. Don't ever fucking do it again.

    ReplyDelete
